He really is a very good professor, he explains things like regression analysis with such ease and clearity that you'll actually understand what statistics was, all about. However, his exams are VERY hard. Not an easy A by a long shot, but if you want to learn something, this is the guy for you.

Weinstock is a great guy, but can get confusing at times. If you read ahead then you'll understand more and be able to participate. He never gives homework. His tests are confusing and hard but only gives 3; however, he curves your grade!

great prof. difficult material. READ THE CHAPTERS IN THE TEXT BEFORE CLASS! you have to study to do well but the class is very interesting. tests are fair (15 mult choice[2pts], 5 short ans[6pts], 2 out of 3 essay[20pts]) and he usually gives one take home. def one of my favorite profs at pace.

I love Weinstock, this is my third class with him and he is definately the best at Pace. If your taking him for an auxiallary course (ECO 238/240) it will be boring because its the subject matter that is dry. Take him for an economics economics class and you will enjoy every moment of it. He is a bit hard, work hard! very interesting!

Extemely interesting lectures and very insightful in the field. Fun class, the only downfall is there's a 20 page paper due at the end of the semester with about 5 weeks to due do it.

He does address politics sometimes with his teachings (conservative), but its good because every other professor here is liberal.

Honestly, he knows what hes talking about, but he does not practice what he preaches. He says that he uses the book for the tests but puts things on that he mentioned for a few seconds which is not fair. do the homework and he will like you, but hes rude and condescending beyond human belief.

If you have an opportunity to take Micro or Marco with him you should. In this class you learn the concepts not just to memorize your text book for the next test, and he will keep you laughing the whole time. He is also really helpful, so visit his office hours and you will get a good grade.

I had Weinstock for UNV. Oh my god, he is terribly funny and is ALWAYS willing to help you out. If you get him as a teacher for any subject, your golden.

Extremely hard tests, you need to know the info inside and out. He's pretty good teacher and interesting but I beg to differ on his political views. If you are good and learn structure this class will be a piece of cake.

Weinstock was the reason I switched my major to Economics from nutrition. His passion for the subject is inspirational and he opened up the tremendous opportunities available in banking and in business. That was back in 1998 and today I enjoyed a great career in commercial loan underwriting.

Professor Weinstock is the reason I switched my major to Economics. He is truly an amazing person, and really gets you interested in the subject matter. If you must take ECO 105 or ECO 106, take Weinstock. You WILL NOT regret it. There is a lot of work load to understand the material, but he is a tremendous help.

Amazing professor with a great ability to see potential in his students. he always has great examples in class that tie the topics in to a more relate-able context. If you participate in class that's a major bonus and it will show in your test scores. also it really helps to read the textbook before the lectures. overall great instructor

Awesome, the best professor ever, take him, won't regret it.

Hes a funny guy to listen to throughout his lectures but his tests are pretty difficult and he will fail you if you don't study. He is a very smart guy, lectures are 2-3 hours long but awesome to go to, the labs suck because you have a different teacher and they don't teach you anything, just go to the lectures and your fine.

Weinstock is really cool and funny. He's a really great teacher, but it could be difficult to grasp all the concepts. As he suggests and I do too, I would use myeconlab along with the end of the chapter questions to help understand and apply all the concepts. Sometimes the textbook will just confuse you more, so just listen to the lecture.

Funny, respected, and an extremely knowledgeable economics professor. Genuinely cares about students who are willing to work. Class can be tough, but you'll learn a lot. Doesn't check attendance, but you should definitely go to every class. Textbook myeconlab is a must. Weinstock has very strong opinions though, not for everyone.

Weinstock is a great teacher, taught me so much about a subject that I knew nothing about and helped me throughout the year. His class is tough and you will have to work for your grade but it is possible to do well if you try.

Weinstock was an amazing professor, he constantly kept people entertained. You can bring your laptop, but you must email him your notes after the lecture. Tests are difficult, but studying is easy for them. You should definitely attend all the lectures if you want to do well, because one chapter is explained in each lecture. One of my better profs

This is one of the greatest professor in history. He is amazing. His lectors are superb. You will learn a lot. No homework's just quizzes and exams. I have had him for about 8 Classes. I wish I had him since freshman year, would've saved me a lot of stress. Just go to his classes, sit down take notes and get ready for an exam simple as that.

Professor Weinstock is hands down one of the best professors at Pace. He is funny and helpful. He truly cares about his students and if you actively participate you will be rewarded.

Professor Weinstock is an awesome teacher. Very knowledgeable in economics and will help you all out along the way. You do need to study very hard for his class.

The most entertaining teacher Ive had at Pace I remember every lecture like it was yesterday! If you've previously had a hard time with Eco or you think it's boring, he really helps explain it well. Tests were per chapter, short answer, and there was a final essay. I don't know if thats the case every semester, but the key is to study the lectures.

Weinstock is a great guy. He goes off and randomly gets off topic but he always seems to get the material covered. His lectures are directly from the textbook so reading isn't mandatory. He loves his Eco majors. Great teacher all around though.

Professor Weinstock! Seriously one of the best professors here at Pace University. Cares for his students, creates great lectures that make you want to sit there for hours, one of the most hilarious professors I know. You will not get bored of this class, he will make you laugh at least once a class, guaranteed. Highly recommend.

Had him for UNV101, super funny and helpful dude. You won't feel left out because he talks to everyone and gets to know you. If I was a business major, I'd make sure to take his classes. He's not boring at all.

Prof Weinstock is alright. He appeals more to the freshmen crowd who get excited over the use of obscenities. My main complaint is that he spent minimum 30 mins lecture ranting about Obama and hybrid cars. I don't care about his opinions, I just want the part of the lecture that matters so I can leave. Tests are harder than you'd expect. Nice guy

This man saved my ass my first semester of college. He helped me get back on track right before finals and pass everything! He's the reason I'm now an Econ major. His lectures are long, but interesting and very funny! His tests are hard if you don't study, so be sure to do your reading! Amazing guy overall. Very easy to work with!

I've taken two classes with Weinstock and he is by far one of my favorite professor. His lectures are long, but very worth it. He explains the material and will help you if you're stuck. His tests are tough, but you have many opportunities to do well. He's down to earth, sarcastic, and funny. Put in the work, and you won't regret taking his class!!

Weinstock is one of Pace's greatest professors. He is an extremely caring prof, who constantly is making his best effort for you to learn and apply economic principles of thought. He has immense experience and knowledge of all things economics, and is always game to relate topics in class to real world current events. He's hilarious, take him ASAP.

Weinstock is definitely a smart man and a good teacher. He curses a lot and he will spend a lot of time offering his opinions, which grows old quickly. He is well worth tolerating though, you will learn a ton. He gives you all the answers you need if you actually pay attention and take notes in class. You don't really have to do anything outside.

I took his class for Money & Banking. One of the best professors I've had. Not sure about the folks who say his tests are hard-Not if you do the work and ask questions. Got an A.

He often gets off topic but it always relates back to the material. Curses a lot so it makes the time pass quickly. He explains things well but make sure to do the econ-labs or else you won't be able to answer the questions on his tests. Literally every question on his tests comes straight out of the textbook so study up.

At first he was hard to understand. He seemed vulgar and aggressive, but, through time and outside class experience he showed that he is caring and genuine. He understands that not everyone is a natural Economist but he will help you as much as he can if you show that you really want it. Show effort and he will reward you. Do MyEconlab!

Weinstock is a funny man. He knows his craft. In class, he uses his humor to engage the students for 2-hour long lecture. He always comes prepared. He is ready to give outside information that applies to the real world and believes that Economics is the end all, be all. I took him twice. He is a good teacher. Outside of class he helps a lot.

He gets very off-topic in his lectures, but he genuinely cares about his students. If he sees you are putting in serious effort and are still struggling, he will work with you and help you find a solution to the problem. Very nice guy, but READ THE CHAPTERS because none of what he lectures on is on the exam. Pay attention in the lab as well!

I love this man! Came in as an International Management major and this man changed my life. Taught me everything I know and is pretty easy on the eyes as well as humorous! Definitely recommend!!!

Weinstock is a genuine and caring professor. Would definitely take him again. He has a lot of knowledge in economics. If he sees your struggling, hell work with you. His lectures are interesting, although his tests can be tricky.

Weinstock is an okay/good professor. 75% of the 2.5hr lecture is him ranting about off topic things or roasting students for not being economics majors (especially AAEM). Only like 2 tests that have nothing to do with the lectures so read up, go to class and do the homework (questions come from the textbook) and you should be good.

Definitely one of my favorite professors so far! His lectures are hilarious, and even though attendance isn't mandatory you still learn TONS by going to lectures. The exams are textbook based so as long as you understand the chapters and do MyEcon you'll be fine.

He's very nice works with all student and answers all questions. hes so funny sometimes it's a little uncomfortable his jokes but non the less hes very funnny. puts the content in real world applications, TEST ARE CURVED HEAVY! also in his class there is some TA's go to him for answers!!! not them they always gave me the wrong info. hes great

Will convince as many students as possible to change their major to Economics (myself included). Good speaker and knowledgable about subjects and making yourself a good job candidate. Goes off topic but is still interesting. Always willing to help students, even with matters outside of his class.

Wonderful Professor, he truly cares for his students. Midterms were hard but the final was pretty easy. He is very knowledgeable. He makes the class very easy for you and you still learn a lot, even if u dont care about Econ. I would 100% recommend him for anyone.

Good choice for econ, funny and provides extra help if needed. Also is very helpful if you are considering a major or minor in econ.

Such a funny guy, and keeps the lecture going even though its 2 hours it really doesn't feel like it compared to other classes. The exams are difficult at times, but if you go to the reviews they help sometimes too. If you ask him a question, he directly answers it. only downside is the lecture is so large, and he probably won't know who you are.

Professor Weinstock is a fantastic Professor. His lectures are interesting and helps the student understand the material. His exams are weighted and much of the material is from the lectures. If you attend the lectures and pay attention and go to the review sessions it is not hard to get a great grade.

A lot of people complain about his tests, but if you go to the review sessions the answers are practically given to you. He isn't afraid to voice his opinion and he's very educated with what he teaches. Economics can be difficult to understand, but if you explain the thought process during tests he's more lenient with grading. Overall a good prof!

Weinstock is a great professor, and hes got jokes. You're going to have to teach yourself a lot of the material but he provides you what you need. Grades are based off of 2 factors: grades from the lab, and 3 exams throughout the semester. Not a bad class and I would take again

Weinstock is a solid choice for your Economics courses. While he may go off on tangents, he relates it back to the topic at hand and gives you a good understanding of what he is teaching. He is lecture heavy, so take that into account. Also, the only large grades are 2 midterms and a final, so don't take him if that stresses you.

Yo, he's a solid teacher, in my book. He gives a good amount of HW but it's easy if you pay attention or look back in the slides. He is a funny guy and knows what he is talking about in economics, ran his own firm, and gets calls for advice all the time. How he grades is stated clearly stated in the syllabus. Easiest class I had and I get to laugh.

I have no idea why some ratings are so poor. This class is sexology and economics. He uses real world examples and compares substitutes and compliments with sex, drugs, politics, it is an interesting class and always is always down to go over more examples in a field you like. Feel free to ask questions and raise your hand!

I have taken a couple of Professor Weinstock's courses and can say he is a great lecturer, who truly cares about his students. He does the best he can to accommodate to every students' needs. I love taking his courses, and have appreciated everything I have learned from him.

He gives a lot off work, and his lectures are fun! But when you study economics you always have to know about whatever he says. He is so accurate and helpful and he doesnt want his students to fail. He gives the best study guides and advices. I will take him for sure again!!!!

Professor Weinstock was a great professor to get me into economics. Although his lectures were long and would sometimes get sidetracked, he was very informed in his teachings and was always available for help if needed. He grades on a curve which allows you to get an idea of where you stand compared to the rest of the class.

Fairly easy class. 3 exams, graded on a curve. Professor Weinstock clearly knows what he is talking about but can get sidetracked easily. Participate and pay attention in class and you'll do fine. He holds reviews for the exams the weekend before, and will tell you what questions will be on the quiz. No surprises, easy to get an A.

Hate to admit that he did genuinely make me laugh during lectures. All midterms and finals are made directly from what is discussed in the lecture. As long as you pay attention during lectures, you shouldn't have an issue at all, even though it can sometimes feel like a long time.
