This guy is super cool. He makes statistics fun, and is easy to listen to. He is a great teacher, makes class fun and always has fun examples or demonstrations in class. If you can't understand him, sit in the front! You can hear him a lot better.

Werner is an awesome teacher. He really wants his students to learn and excel in the course and he does everything to try to help you. Whenever I needed help with homework on MyStatLab, he responded to my question within 20 minutes. Class is sometimes a little tedious but attendance isn't mandatory. You should definitely take his class!

Werner goes out of his way to help his students. I am not good in stat so I went to his office hours where he'll give one on one tutoring. Very nice. Gives old tests for practice that are very similar to the actual test. 10 HW questions a week, not bad at all. No book needed.

Mr. Werner is the cutest man ever. The class itself is very easy, especially if you've taken statistics in high school. Tests are easy and there's plenty of practice material. You don't have to go to class but sometimes it's worth it cause Werner is so adorable. He tries to make it interesting with jokes/videos and he even showed us pictures of himself holding a baby lion. I love Werner it was my favorite class I've taken at UGA (also the easiest)

He is a great teacher. He actually cares if his students are learning and makes it so fun that is impossible not to like him or the class. I think he spoiled us by bringing M&Ms and cookies to the probability and distribution lessons :)

Werner is AWESOME!! Online homework, but no book needed. He schedules office hours when students want them and is extremely helpful at explaining material. Very interesting in class - uses funny clips, Hey Ryan memes, etc. to help liven up that material. SUCH a nice guy and a delightful professor. Take statistics with him for sure!! :)

Easiest class I have taken and I am 3rd year with a 3.8 GPA. You can just look over the study guides twice and there is no reason to not make at least a B. It is a shame that he is teaching such an easy class. Dr. Werner seem very intelligent and do not really get to showcase it. There is a bonus question on every test.

Go to class and pay attention. Do clicker questions in class for participation. Do homework, study the slides, and do the practice tests. You'll get an A on every single exam without spending a lot of time.

Dr Werner was a good teacher but kind of hard to understand in class because of his accent. In my opinion the material was pretty easy, but what made him a great teacher was that he was always quick to respond to questions over emailWebAssign and was very clear and understanding. Also, he's an incredibly nice guy!

So friendly and hilarious! Tests were easy if you do the online questions and practice tests. Go to class for points! He gives great example problems in class. Would definitely take again. Super willing to help. Ask him if you don't understand. You definitely don't need the book or stat crunch. Save your money! His notes were sufficient.

TAKE WERNER! By far the best professor I've ever had at UGA. I did my homework every Wednesday in his office hours and it was great! (he has really extensive office hours, 9am to 9pm) He gives AMAZING handouts in class that are EXACTLY the test. He is willing to help you, you just have to ask! As long as you do the homework and practice quizzes, you'll be fine. He does take attendance, but you can replace the attendance grade with your test average. I stopped going to class after the first test because it wasn't really necessary Really nice professor that does want to help you as much as possible. He really loves stats and teaching.

Enroll in this class with this professor over ANY OTHER. He 's great at explaining things, gives snacks in class, and ensures that you really understand him. If you don't understand, just ask! He's great at responding to emails and is awesome in office hours!

Loved this guy. He's kinda dorky but he knows it. Uses videos and random voice-overs to keep you interested. He even danced one time it was hilarious. Once a week homework but its easy, literally teaches you how to do all of the problems, and the tests are just like it. If you study and go to class, should definitely get an A.

Werner was great. He was always there when you need it and taught the material well, although he has a stutter and an accent which makes him a little tough to understand. GO TO CLASS. My grade suffered because I tried to teach myself the material, and it didn't work out. Would've been fine if I had gone to class.

Currently in his class and just got our first test back. It was a take-home test and everybody passed. He is a very fair grader, gives AWESOME notes, doesn't make you read/buy the book, his homeworks do not take very long, and he is hilarious. Definitely the best statistics teacher at UGA.

Dr. Werner is a great teacher he explains everything very well during lectures. Don't need a textbook or attendance (uses HW grade as attendance).

Werner is, hands down, one of UGA's best professors. He's part of that rare group who is friendly, engaging, clear, and would help you in a second if you asked him. Watch out for Test 2; it's a little tricky, but I underprepared for it. If I could take him for every class, I absolutely would.

Dr Werner cares about students' success - he wants you to pass. He hands out GREAT notes. He does have an accent, and he talks really fast, plus he is prone to mistakes on the board. But if you can get past those things, you'll pass. He usually has a cool video to show in class, and always includes funny cartoons on the homework handouts and online

Dr. Werner is one of the most polite human beings I have ever come across. He makes an effort to learn every student's name. He does a phenomenal job explaining the material and is very flexible. He is accessible outside of office hours. He has a lot of fun real world applications as well. I would take any class he teaches.

Lectures are important, but he goes over the material several times and makes sure everyone understands it. Good if you have to skip class every once and a while. It's easy to catch up. 3 tests and optional final. Shows funny videos in class. He's nerdy in a great way. Great man and a great teacher.

Mark made MSIT great again! Dr. Werner's format during lecture is good. He has a boring PowerPoint, mixes in funny videos that he edits himself, and does practice problems. He can clarify the material very well, so go to class even though it is not required.

Class is boring and mundane and he tries to ask questions but nobody participates. Tests are straight from WebAssign (which is assigned every week). Pretty painless course.

This guy is the best teacher I've ever had. He cares more about his students then any teacher I've ever had. He is truly a very special teacher and guy and deserves multiple recognitions for what he is doing. He is how every teacher should be. 100% WOULD TAKE HIM AGAIN!!!!!

Mr. Werner is absolutely hilarious, and he has a video for almost every lecture. He's very enthusiastic & passionate about what he's teaching. He genuinely cares for his students. The class is what you make of it, though. To get an A, you really do need to go to class, do the homework, and study study study for those exams. He doesn't curve!

This professor is as laid back as it gets. Attendance is not mandatory, nor necessary really. I didn't go to class very much and still managed to master all the material by using the power points online. Lots of practice is available online as well and practice is the key to success on the tests. Do all HW & practice tests and you should be fine.

Dr. Werner will go out of his way to help-- meeting late week nights, after class, and even sundays. He tries many different ways to help you understand the material and is so understanding. He's a great man!!

I cannot say enough nice things about Mr. Werner. He's a wonderful teacher. Tells you exactly what you need to know for the tests and does so in a way that's straight-forward and to the point. Despite the fact that I had a different professor, Dr. Werner substituted for my original professor and he was great! I wish I had him the whole semester; I think the class would have been much easier with him.

Very easy course. I took AP Stat in high school, and there was no new material throughout this entire course. I stopped going after the first week and still got an A in the class. Easy exams and no attendance requirement.

Dr. Werner is the sweetest man. One time Webassign graded my test incorrectly because of a rounding issue and he fixed it as I was standing there. I will say to not be deceived by the first test. The second test is considerably harder, so don't underestimate it.

I highly recommend taking Dr. Werner's class! While his lectures are a little bit on the boring side (it's stat) his enthusiasm for the material definitely makes up for it. Super flexible and caring and wants you to do well. He doesn't care if you don't come to class and puts all his notes online. If you took AP stat in high school, you can easily get away with reading the powerpoint on your own and doing the hw. Do the practice tests to study. He also gives options of when you want to take the tests during the week.

Prof Werner was great at trying to make a dry subject more interesting. Figuring out how to use JMP at first was difficult, but after a while you get the hang of it. Prof Werner really cared about the subject and us as students and I appreciated the effort he put forth in his lectures.

Very dry subject, but he tries to make it interesting. The subject is rather hard if you've never taken an intro stat class and you really have to work to get a good grade in the class. Otherwise, he's a lovely person and gives really great feedback on your projects! Tests are a beast though and figuring out how to use JMP is half the battle.

Dr. Werner was great! Homework was easy and did most of it during class. Tests are take home and very similar to homework questions. He always tries to make class interesting by starting off with some interesting video or article. He grades super fast! Homework or tests would be due Saturday night and hed have them graded and in our hands Monday.

Professor Werner is the best! I actually had another professor for MSIT 3000 but I was really struggling and came to him for help. His slides are super informative and he is willing to help you understand concepts whenever, especially if you have never taken stat. I was not even his student and he really cared to make sure I understood everything!

Don't really remember this course too clearly since I took it last year, but he made stat totally doable (for someone like me who hates stat and math and sucks at both). If I remember, there was webassign and he seemed pretty chill. Recommend taking it online over the summer!

Werner is a great person, he is fun, excited about stat, and is very understanding. I highly recommend taking him but beware if you aren't good at statistics this is not a walk in the park. He does post all his powerpoints on ELC which is a huge help if you dont go to class.

If you have to take stat, take Dr. Werner because they all teach the same thing with same homeworks and tests. Will often bring videos to class which makes it go by faster. He hold office hours everyday. The tests are somewhat hard but theyre still doable. Every conceptual answer can be found on ELC and calculations on Web assign.

Im currently in Dr. Werner's Stat 3110 class and couldn't be happier about having him as my professor. He bases his tests off the practice tests and allows for open note tests. He spends hours out of class making short clips relating to statistics to popular tv shows to make learning more fun and the topics more relatable. Best Teacher I've had!

very nice guy. I was nervous about this class since I had never taken statistics, but professor Warner assured me. The class is average difficulty, lots of homework and an optional final with 3 tests and 3 quizzes. Tests are open note. He provides lots of practice tests and problems. I studied for about 1 hour each night and got an A in the class.

super nice guy. he follows the same format as most of the other msit profs so skoolers will help for him. they added quizzes this year to help balance out weighting which probably made it easier. homework is not hard and very helpful for tests/quizzes. optional final that i did not take. always willing to help but really not too tough of a class.

Professor Werner is the best. He does not make the material or class harder than it needs to be. He posts the slides so if you miss class you can still access them. The class gets a little hard as the semester goes on but it's not bad at all as long as you keep up with notes and HW. 3 quizzes, 3 tests, and optional final that won't hurt your grade

The best professor i have had at UGA, he's so so kind and caring. If you go to office hours he is so helpful and really cheers you on. I didn't really attend lecture but i learned through trial and error of the homework. Highly recommend taking his class.

Amazing prof with great lectures where he actually teaches. Notes were his own so no textbook needed and homework/exams were very fair (take home as well). He has funny lectures and was able to answer questions/troubleshoot R code with students too. Thoroughly enjoyed his class and thinking about taking 4240 with him too.

Dr. Werner is now easily one of my favorite professors at UGA. He makes his class on regression analysis fun and interesting, which speaks volumes on his ability to engage with students. Fair grader. Thorough lecture notes. And great at answering questions. Absolutely nothing to complain about! Hoping I can take another one of his classes.

Dr. Werner is a wonderful professor who will work with you as long as you are upfront with him first. His lectures can be a bit long on Tuesday/Thursdays but attendance is not mandatory and review is always posted online. One test can make or break your grade but he does an excellent job at being straightforward.

Tests 70%; optional final can only help you. Overall, easy A.

BUSN 3000 was a very interesting course thanks to Professor Werner. Homework was preparation for the quizzes and tests, which were good if you studied well. Open note quizzes and in person tests, make sure to come to class and take notes even though he puts the powerpoints on ELC.

Lectures can seem a little slower at times, but he is just making sure everybody understands which I appreciate. If you didn't take AP stats in high school, you might find this class difficult but I promise Werner will make it at least semi-enjoyable. You have a homework assignment for each unit but each question gives you 4 attempts to get it right. 3 quizzes, 3 tests, and an optional final.

Do yourself the biggest favor, and take Werner for BUSN 3000! If you're struggling or even dealing with personal things, please ask for help. He is the kindest professor ever and just wants everyone to do well. He puts effort into making the class fun, and the workload isn't much at all. Just work practice problems for the tests and quizzes.

Amazing professor. I had a million things going on this semester and still did better than I ever thought possible because he's understanding and works with you to make sure you succeed. exams are very straightforward if you do practice problems that he posts online. homework is due every week but usually pretty easy to do in a couple of hours.

Amazing professor. I wish I could take another class with him. He makes it so easy for you to get the best grade. I did not take the final, and I got a 99 in the class. Ridiculously easy and the best teacher I have had.

Professor Werner is super cool. Easy class and attendance is optional, and when I did go to class he was always super nice. The powerpoints get a little bit confusing, but you just have to do the homework and practice tests. Everything is pretty much on webassign, so I would just go over the powerpoints and study the practice tests and homework.

Absolutely one of the best professors at UGA. He really cares about his students and wants them to do well. He does problems in class and loves to post gifs that talk about statistics. This course was a bit more difficult than 3110 for me, but he was incredibly helpful and even bumped up my grade in the end. He was very kind and everyone loves him.

Dr. Werner is fun, caring, and an easy professor. He cares about his students, and is a very easy grader. The class was easy, and he was always available to give as much help as you needed. Attendance was not mandatory, and we only had a few homework assignments. No final exam either, just a project. He also brought treats and was extremely kind.

Great professor! I had him this past fall semester and am planning to end with a B+. If the material does not come easy the first time in class he will gladly try to answer if you ask questions. He is also quick to respond to emails and gives great help. Attendance is not a grade, but I would go. I would take him again. The Final is optional.

Hands down one of the most caring professors I've had. He is a fast responder via email. Homework was due every week with 3 tests throughout the semester. Quizzes throughout the semester and done outside of class. Final is optional. Attendance is not taken but in order to be successful, go and participate.

Have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Werner! He tries to make lectures fun with funny videos and class participation but most importantly he really wants you to succeed. He will always answer your questions either in-person or via email and was overall just a really great teacher. Highly recommend taking him.

This dude is just flat out awesome. He is so nice and caring and willing to help you succeed if you are struggling to grasp the concepts. Honestly the professor for BUSS 3000 does not matter at all this class is just Web-assign and JMP, just do the practice test multiple times and the quizzes to succeed.

If you're taking BUSN3000, take him. He's truly amazing. Homeworks are easy (you have multiple submissions). Attendance isn't required, however, do not miss the first few classes (learn how to operate JMP). JMP is easy. Other than that, do the practice tests/quizzes and the test will be easy.

If I could take him again I would. He was super nice and very helpful outside of class time. You are graded solely on HW, 3 tests, and an optional final. He made his slides very easy to understand, and he even has practice tests that you can do that are VERY helpful.

Dr. Werner is the best professor for BUSN 3000. He cares about his students and makes an effort to learn everyone's names in a 150 person lecture. Extremely easy class. Werner was extremely nice and all the information you needed to know for his tests was on his PowerPoints so you did not even have to show up to class. If you did, he occasionally gave out snacks though.

Dr. Werner is awesome. He does post notes and plenty of practice before quizzes and tests. It's not super test-heavy and honestly really easy, especially if you go to lectures (I did not). He's also HILARIOUS. He makes these little videos that he shows at the beginning of class about the topic of the day that my classmates talk abt for days.

Best statistics professor I have ever had! He always got the class involved with the material in a fun way. Usually, he printed out extra copies of the worksheets/quiz reviews, which was really helpful for in-class learning. The extra practice and self-test questions were really helpful for test reviews. This course is super cut and dry, easiest class required to apply to Terry. All you need to pass the tests and quizzes is to do the homework and practice tests. The lectures are a little long winded and don't really blow you away with content but get sort of monotonous, but Werner brings good energy. Sounds confusing at times when speaking fast.

As far as the course material, it gets exponentially harder after the first test so definitely don't slack off after you ace the first one.

STAT 3120: Attendance isn't mandatory but I went anyways because of how nice of a person he was. He allows you to resubmit the hw after its been graded so theres no excuse to not get a 100 (make sure you turn it in early). Exams are copy/paste of the practice exam so go to class the day before exams because he doesn't post the key. Highly recommend

Sweetest professor, HW are easy and less time consuming (30 minutes maybe), tests are similar to practice exams and HW. Class is based off how much you practice the math and materials and not on the conceptual. Quizzes only 3 are also based off homework practice, practice, practice. Overall take him he will email quickly, and he cares for all!!

GOAT of the stat department! Awesome guy, pretty good lecturer who actually cares about what he teaches. Cares about his students a lot, does daily wheel spin prizes for chocolate, emails everybody to get to know him, and dressed up as Spiderman for halloween! Very easy class if you just study with the homework and problems he works out in class.

Content is not interesting but he tries his best to make it as engaging as possible. Simply going to the lectures, and doing the homework should ease your way to a good grade. The tests are also similar to the practice test provided several days before the test.

He's absolutely so funny and really cares about you on an individual level which not many professors do. He does talk fast and sometimes it's hard to catch on to the material, but he always answers questions and makes sure to do practice in class. He's so sweet and will talk to you if you're concerned.

Great guy teaching an ok class, but he is by far the best at it. He is ready to help with some sometimes confusing concepts. Get Ready to use R-studio, but there are usually only a few things you have to figure out. 10/10 would take again. He also brings snacks to class, what a legend.

This semester had some hiccups since it was the first time they introduced the program R into the course, however Mark made it easy to learn and get feedback. No notes. Entertaining lectures, guided examples, 3 tests with plenty of practice material for them. Homework due about once every week or two, but unlimited attempts on it and feedback when you get it wrong so you can do better on your second attempts. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!!

Great guy took a different teacher for the class who wasn't great but his study materials were super helpful and are what I used for the entire thing. Also he is very responsive via email and has open office hours.

The material itself I found to be difficult, however the tests and homework are pretty identical to what the questions look like on the test. Definitely do the practice tests and go to class because attendance is weighted pretty heavily. Professor Werner himself is amazing and answered all of my emails so personable and thoughtfully.
