Good class, but difficult. Study!

He is the best teacher I have had so far! I have him again for BIO 202. His lectures are so easy to understand and if the class needs more time in an area he would go back to clarify. One thing he is big on is his students being active in class, and what I mean by that is he will ask the class or individuals questions throughout the lecture.

Dr. Wireman is a wonderful BIO-201 teacher. Some of the material for BIO-201 are difficult concepts to understand, but Dr. Wireman does a great job of explaining things in a way that makes it easier to understand--he uses a lot of word association and stories that we can use to associate terms with. Studying is a MUST if you want pass his class.

I had Dr. Wireman for BIO 202 and he is AMAZING! I saw that I was struggling in class and he emailed me and told me to come to his office hours to see him and ask questions. He used great analogies to explain topics!! His office hours were amazing, he went step by step through the whole powerpoint! He helped me save my grade!!I HIGHLY recommend him

I had Wireman for 201 at 7 am and he made this class enjoyable. He cracks jokes and helps you remember things by making out of the box references and catchphrases. His class is very fast paced, but he is always there to help or go over your tests with you in his office hours. I would recommend him!

Wireman is an amazing professor. The classes he teaches aren't easy, but he is always available for help. He was a great teacher and if you have a question about anything in the class he will answer. If you try, you will do well. In the class you either pass or fail so it's all on the students. The majority of the grade is based on the quizzes and tests. Do well on those and you will get an A or B in the class. For an anatomy class it's a good grade!

Mark Wireman delivers the material in a way that memorable. Going into anatomy may be scary or may give you anxiety, but he really makes everything easy to grab and understand. If you dont understand something, he will sit there and explain it until you get it, he will even find other ways to explain it so you get it.

He is truly a great teacher, he really cares about the subject he is teaching, and the students. If you don't understand something, you can take advantage of his office hours and he will do everything he can to help you get back on track. He's really funny, and the lectures are interesting, but don't miss class, you'll fall behind really fast.

His lectures are rarely boring. He uses many visuals and analogies to help you understand material. He is humorous, and likes the class to interact with him. His pace is very fast if you're not into that I wouldn't suggest him but he really cares about his students and is willing to help. I would recommend! This class is not easy but work hard!

This was my favorite professor this semester. He really cared and had the knowledge to answer all kinds of questions. Biology can be a dry subject, but he knows how to make it fun and interesting.

I had Wireman for both BIO 202 lecture and CHEM 101 lecture and he was GREAT! He took time to explain things in many different ways so that everyone could understand it. He cared for his students and would help you with whatever question you had. If you don't show up to lecture, you miss a lot and won't be able to figure it out by the power point.

Wireman is amazing! His lectures are long and funny, but most of all, the way he teaches the lessons really stay in your head. you can tell he really does care about his students. Though his class is a bit challenging, he does give out a bunch of in depth study guides unlike other professors.

It is a tough class but typically if you're in this class you have a tough major. Easily the best teacher I have had would definitely suggest taking if you have the opportunity too!

Best mentor I have ever had. I have heard that other anatomy professors are easier in terms of grades and material than Doctor Wireman; however, this aspect must be overlooked, especially by those who really desire to get into medical school, dental school, Nursing school, or PT school.

Wireman is a great professor who truly enjoys what he does. He takes time out of his day outside of the classroom to update powerpoints, find supplemental material, and update all his notes. If you don't go to class, you can still learn the basics from the powerpoints, but he puts in extra material in his powerpoints.

I took Wireman for BIO201 & 202. I would recommend him for both! He is an engaging teacher and tries to make the material relevant to us. His lectures are based off of the powerpoint but he also adds slides in that won't be on the pp students have. Definitely should attend class because he explains things much more clearly. Taking Dr. Wireman after having Dr. Sillanpaa last semester was like a breath of fresh air. I was worried that I might be studying the wrong major however taking bio 202 with Wireman helped me realize that I'm in the right place.

I was always afraid to ask for help in high school. I realized that wasn't the case when I came to this class, and I think I got really lucky with Wireman. He creates amazing videos and does so much to help students review. His office hours are very elaborate. He has a lot of empathy and even more jokes. You're in for a treat if you go Wireman.

Ive never had a better teacher. Try really hard to get into this class. Grade is based on four tests and participation but you will definitely learn in this class because his humor is relate-able to everyone.

TAKE WIREMAN IF YOU CAN! He makes lectures so fun and easy to understand. Go to every lecture for those buffer points, pay attention, and study everything on the PPTs to do well on the exams. The class is challenging and the ONLY grades in the book are 4 exams and participation.

He teaches in a very interesting way that engages students. His tests are pretty hard, but if you follow the study guides, you'll be good on the exams.

Dr. Wireman is my favorite professor and makes learning such a difficult subject easier with his analogies and stories. His exams are tough so start studying. Even if you think you've studied enough, study more. Go to his office hours to ask questions, he is very caring and nice and talks to his students like the adults they are. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Profesor Wireman was proabbly one of the best professors I've ever had. He was very funny in his lectures and he cares alot about his students. He uses analogies in lectures that makes it easier to remeber things and he makes videos that really help. Okay so I retook Bio-201 to get my nursing GPA up. Wireman is the best professor for any nursing related class I've taken at GCU. He does great memory tricks. He dances, he sings, he brings props! Honestly if you come to class and genuinely pay attention it is an easy B. DO THE REVIEW GUIDES. My lowest test score in his class was an 88%.

Professor Wireman was a really good professor. He did a great job of ensuring the class was able to thoroughly understand the material. He came up with acronyms and drawings that made the material 100% easier to study. He was always in his office hours and would help answer any question I had.

Professor Wireman is one of the best professors I have had as a pre-nursing student at GCU. This is a tough class and exams are not easy you slack off, but he will do everything he can to help you. His lectures are very engaging and it is easy to stay focused. He uses lots of fun drawings and creative ways to memorize/understand concepts! 10/10!!

I had Mark Wireman for Bio-201 and plan on taking him again next semester for Bio-202 because I liked him so much. He teaches the material very well, including lots of analogies and funny stories to help you remember all the information. I highly recommend getting him if you can. Many of the concepts in this class are difficult, but Dr. Wireman does a really good job explaining them and giving tips or ways to remember them. He also gives review guides that are so helpful for the tests.

Wireman is a great professor! Though he does have his faults like every professor. He is very intimidating, and by that I mean he really stresses the fact that if you are not eating, breathing and thinking human A&P you will fail. Apart from that, he makes the tough concepts understandable and he relates to his students. Hes a solid choice.

He has amazing study techniques and uses funny ways to make you remember complex concepts. Those memorization hacks will stay with you through your future anatomy/biology courses. Take him!

BEST BIO 201 and 202 professor

I had this class during covid, so it was a little hard to do zoom and in-person. His lectures are very funny and very entertaining, yet they are long. Overall, he is a good teacher, but most of his questions on the exams are case scenarios, so you need to not only memorize the information but also understand it. do the study guides and study early.

Great lecture, he uses lots of analogies to help you remember the physiology of things in the class. The exams come directly from the review guides so memorize those inside and out. I would highly recommend putting the review guide questions into a quizlet for studying.

Dr. Wireman is the best teacher I have ever had! He makes you want to listen and engage in the lectures. I had a 7 AM for BIO-201, and he was continuously giving one hundred percent and kept the students engaged and confident that we are meant to be in his class. All Bio classes are extremely lecture heavy, the key is having a professor who doesn't read off the slides but has a flowing conversation with the class. The lectures were explained so thoroughly I didn't read the textbook this whole semester. He even supplies additional explanations of videos he made himself that quiz you while you watch. 100/10

This class is very hard and needs a lot of time to study, he is a really good professor and relates the subjects to real world scenarios which helps with understanding dramatically! He is such a good and funny professor I would 100% take his class again if I could and will be in the future. He cares about his students alot!

A&P overall is a difficult course but having Dr. Wireman really made it enjoyable to learn the subject. He always found ways to make sure the information sticks in our heads with stories whether they're real or fake, LOL. He does require a little more work than other professors, but it is so worth it. Wireman is a great professor. However, he is not for everyone. Dr. Wireman is generally the "popular" vote and this can mislead some students when they may not connect as much with the way he lectures. I really suggest going to his office hours as often as possible if you want to end with a good grade.

He is so funny!!! He is very good at lecturing and extremely engaging. He also gives tons of tips and tricks to help you remember things. I did receive a C but that was 100% on me. I missed a lot of class because I was dealing with personal health issues but if I had gone and really applied myself I could've gotten an A thanks to him, no doubt.

I had Wireman for both BIO 201/BIO 202 which are very difficult classes that include many challenging topics. I got an A in both courses because of Wireman! I took Wireman for both Ant 1 and Ant 2 and finished with an A in both classes. His lectures are super engaging and his poll everywhere questions help you recognize in what areas you need to study more in, but I had friends with different teachers that said there exams were significantly easier. He will engrave it in your head that you will fail.

Wireman was my BIO 201 & 322 professor and he is great at making complicated topics easy to understand. Drawing during class, giving real world examples, and review through remind messages helps students excel in his classes. Office hours are extremely helpful to review topics and exams. A professor who cares in and out of class!

Dr. Wireman was an amazing professor who I would recommend100%. The only thing is there aren't any study guides or practice questions, but he does do many quick checks during the classes. Be prepared to attend every lecture or you will fall behind on the material as there is a lot during each class. Overall his lectures were great and engaging.

Wireman is just amazing. He is one of the best teachers I have had in my life and it is very clear he cares about his students. If you engage with him in class and answer questions, he is more inclined to help you since you show initiative to learn. He always tries to make sure everyone in the room understands what he is teaching as well.

I never dreaded the class because he always made the lectures interesting with some fun stories. He always tries to get to know his students better and sets them up for success. DO THE REVIEW GUIDES THEY HELP SO MUCH!!!!!

Dr.Wireman is very personable and allows you to look at the topics in a new memorable perspective. I have always struggled with lecture, but he allows me to do minimal studying and actually comprehending the subjects I need to know. He is very funny and engaging with his students. DEF recommend!!

Genuinely the best teacher I've ever had!! His office hours help sooo much and you can tell how much he wants all his students to succeed. He's a very sought after teacher and there's a clear reason. Class flies by because of his stories and teaching method. He's very understanding and only does participation one time before every exam. 10/10 rec!!

I can not say enough good things about Wireman!! Yes, this is a hard class. However, he makes it as easy as possible and gives you more than enough things to succeed. I would 100% take his class 100x over again even though it was at 7am. Do the review guides and pay attention during lecture and you will have no problems.

Dr. Wireman is an amazing professor! Bio-202 is hard in general but he has great analogies and ways to remember the content. He makes lecture less boring because he is so funny and makes everything feel lighthearted. I am taking him again for patho and I'm very excited! Would recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Wireman is a great professor, he is very funny and is really engaging towards the class. He gives you everything you need to succeed and pass, all that you need to do is apply yourself. There are 4 exams and he is easy to reach outside of class. Just remember to read the text the night before class and show up ready to take notes.

Wireman is a great teacher who really wants to develop a relationship with his students but be ready to work heard. His class is not necessarily easy and requires a lot of studying. Get to know your classmates and study with them.

Wireman is, hands down, the best professor I have ever had. He provides you with numerous ways to remember everything using simple words, but also shares a hilarious story for every occasion, and I mean every occasion. Exams can be challenging; study for a minimum of two weeks before them and focus on reviewing guides and PowerPoint presentations.

Best entry-level Professor getting you ready for future classes... You will not fail his class if you put the time and energy into studying for the exams. He is very straightforward forward and I promise if you just give him a month... he will grow on you.

Just amazing

One of the best anatomy professors ever. His lectures are hilarious, energetic, and full of clear explanations that make even the hardest topics click. He truly cares, inspires every student, and turns anatomy into something you look forward to. Absolutely worth it, easily a campus favorite.

This is a hard fast paced class but he takes the time to make sure everything is fully covered. Wireman made this class extremely fun and enjoyable for me, be aware that he will call you out to answer questions but he only wants you to be successful and understand the material. If his class has availability, TAKE HIS CLASS. Go to his office hours.

He is a very good teacher, but be aware that his exams are going to be extremely harder than the other professors. You have to show up to class and participate. Your whole grade will be very dependent on exams, so be prepared to study for hours.

Class topics are hard, but Wireman is a great professor! Lectures are super engaging and if you go and pay attention, you have to work less outside of class. The course was rigorous but well-organized, and the structure made challenging topics easier to understand. Each unit built on the last, which kept me engaged and supported my learning. Overall, it was a valuable class that prepared me well for future courses in the program. Make sure you go to class. He is the best!!

The class itself has difficult content but Dr. Wireman was my favorite professor this semester. He makes class fun an entertaining. Just make sure to do the review guides and go to class.

While the topics were difficult, Professor Wireman was good at making the topics relatable and interesting. His tests were hard and studying and showing up for class are important. He occasically made commenst that were really strange and liked to pick on specific students, daily.

If you do the review guides the class will be so easy. He makes class fun, but once he learns your name be prepared to get called on at least 5 times a day. The only real homework he assigns is through connect.

Best professor ever. Funny, kind, insanely approachable. Sit in the front and he'll learn your name and keep you engaged. Lectures are crystal clear—do the notes and review guides and you'll crush exams. Once the power went out before a test and he taught by candlelight. Another day, he delivered a baby in class. Absolute legend.

Dr. Wireman teaches anatomy like he personally assembled the human body and remembers every wire. His lectures command silence, obedience, and fear. You don't learn anatomy — you submit to it. My neurons still fire when I hear his voice. 5/5, would be rewired again.

Dr. Wireman is literally the best professor at GCU. He is who you want to have teaching you Anatomy. He makes the lecture super fun to sit through and making it super engaging. The exams are a little harder, but he sets you up to get a great grade in the class and he always will let you know what is going to be on the exam. He loves to yap!

You are what you eat definitely applies to this class. If you're not going to read, at least do the review guides, they correlate perfectly with the exams. Dr. Wireman is extremely funny and caring, and he makes class go by fast with his humor. Definitely recommend!
