Great class! I hope he teaches BADM 320 for years to come! He doesn't make you do annoying McGraw-Hill online homework. There are only 3 exams, but you will be well prepared for them as he provides videos that will help you for the exam. WATCH THE VIDEOS - a lot of questions come from the videos verbatim.

Mark Wolters is a great professor. He is passionate about what he teaches and also very knowledgable. He particularly wants his students to really learn his material, so he goes above and beyond to make sure that every learning style is accommodated.

Mark accommodates this business core class for everyone. His classes are fun and entertaining, and he's honestly there if you want to know more about marketing (or more). He honestly cares about the subject and his students. The exams are pretty straight forward - just review the powerpoints and watch his videos. You should get an A!

Favorite Prof in U of I!

The average grade in his class ended up being an A. He was very engaging and an interesting. Also, all of the information on the test could be found in his videos/powerpoints online meaning if you missed a class or a few it wasn't detrimental to your grade.

Wolters spends a lot of time out of the classroom recording summary videos. He only wants his students to succeed! The exams are completely fair and if you study you will do very well.

Great guy, does some self promotion in class for his own things which gets annoying. In general he is very knowledgeable and a great guy. If you have a chance to take a class with him I would strongly recommend it.

First time I've ever written one of these. Quite simply, you are at a loss if you don't take Wolters. Not difficult, extremely captivating, and still learned more than most other business classes.

Professor Wolters is one of my favorite professors on this campus. All slides available via compass, all tests based on those slides and the accompanying videos, and overall the class is interesting, engaging, and an easy A. Highly recommend it!

I had to take this class bc I am an adv major and I ended up really enjoying it. Mark is a great teacher and makes the content interesting to learn. He uses a lot of examples which help equating what we learned to real life. His videos are SUPER helpful for preparing for an exam and it really helps out people like me who are more visual learners.

Easy, Easy class. Only grades are the 3 exams, syllabus quiz, and attendance. For attendance he randomly takes it 8 times throughout the semester and you only need 5/8 to get 100% on attendance.

All you really need to do is study the day before exams that's it. A lot of attendance checks but only 5 are counted.

Im a Business junior her at UIUC from Korea. Professor Wolters is not just funny, but also very lively and straight explaining his materials. He is an alumnus here and cares earnestly about his students. Attedance is not required, but not boring and very helpful (EC opportunities+ wink hints). If you have to take BADM 320 at UIUC, take his class!

Taking 320 with a teacher other than Wolters is a mistake. Attendance checks were 5%, 3 tests 90% (no final), and a syllabus quiz (5%). There is also extra credit. Going to class was fun because he makes it exciting. Studying the power points thoroughly is enough to get A's on all tests.

While the material isn't always thrilling, Wolters is an entertaining professor who will make sure you know your stuff before your done. Take this class with Wolters, it's better than taking it online.

Took marketing with him while traveling around Europe. It was a really cool and hands on learning experience and I got to learn a ton about international marketing.

Wolters was ok. He talked a lot. His lectures were all over the place and he got kinda crazy about attendance. He was always calling people out for leaving class early. Attendance was mandatory. He took it about 15 times in the semester. The course material was pretty clear cut. I got an A., but I could have gotten an A without going to class.

BADM 320 was very easy because Wolters is such a great teacher. I had it at 8am and he did attendance checks, but if he doesn't do attendance checks for you then don't go because this is one of the easiest business classes at uiuc. do the quizzes, study the night before for the exams, and you will get an easy A

I learned a good deal in this class and enjoyed it too. There's a lot to know for the 3 exams, but it's definitely manageable. He always makes himself available in the BIF the day before an exam as well as email and Twitter. He's a very agreeable, good professor!

The slides and his video lectures really make studying easy, as long as you go to the lectures (for attendance checks, you can only miss so many checks) and review slides you're fine! Buy the book since the review exams & attendance check papers are in there (gives you until the 1st exam to buy it though). 3 exams (no final), 1 quiz, & attendance. As long as you go to class & pay attention you'll pass. He makes class fun & the material is interesting. Exams aren't hard if you watch his playlist & look at the practice exams.

Best Professor at UIUC! BADM 320 is so much more than marketing, he teaches you all the basics of business and terminology that you'll use in real life business deals. A must take! Buy the book, exams are just like the practice exams, attendance points, and an EC worth 3%. Got a good grade and learned a lot of stuff, that doesn't happen often.

Wolters is amazing. He makes his class really easy and is super nice and relatable dude. He has random attendance checks but will excuse if you have a good reason for missing. Hes a genuine and funny guy who understands what his class is and doesn't make it something you have to worry about. He markets his social media/youtube stuff in class a lot.

He is a fun guy and his lectures are very informing. Your grade is based off of three midterm exams (no final) and a few very easy participation points. To pass the exams just study previous exams and they will be easy.

I love this guy, he's so informed and in touch with millennials, it's great. His mandatory "text book" is awesome because he basically just did notes for you on most important topics and ideas - but WAY too tiny font. Really irritating to use for studying. DON'T SKIP CLASS. If you have to find another session to attend, you'll get attendance credit

After taking this class, I switched my major to marketing. Prof. Wolters's lectures are funny, easy to understand, and relevant. The exams are not hard at all. He is super accessible outside of class, always responds to emails, and willing to help. I didn't miss a single lecture because I never got bored. No homework also.

Great professor and easy class. But to be honest sometimes I will get tired of his way of teaching after 20 short videos a week. You will learn but you will probably get bored in the online environment.

One of my easiest classes this semester. If you buy his book you'll pass the quizzes with no problem. His lectures are inviting and easy to understand. He doesn't grade on a curve, but he drops a lot of your worst grades. It's almost impossible to not get an A in his class.

As other reviewers have noted, do not get the textbook. This class is really easy. Weekly quizzes and exams are very straightforward and open-notes. You don't have to watch the lecture videos at all, but if you do, professor Wolters is clearly passionate about teaching and puts together a lot of great videos.

I actually knew Prof. Wolters from YouTube before I knew he taught here. I took his class as an elective, and I really enjoyed it! Easiest A ever, but I still feel like the content was worth learning. Its clear he has a passion for teaching.

The only issue I had was that the class is only available at 8am and he does random attendance checks which add up to a lot of points. By far the easiest class I've had so far at this school. Very funny and very knowledgeable at the same time. Although I have to agree that a mandatory $60 textbook with slides on it for attendance usage is pretty questionable. Just make sure you study for the exams though, since you can easily get confused with some of the terminology later on.

He is very smart and practical. He knows that all students want is to get an A. Therefore, this class is more like learn as much as you care to learn, which I love because everyone is different.

BADM320 is straightforward and almost common sense. Lots of extra credit by taking research surveys. Weekly lectures were compiled by a thread of YouTube videos--this was a bit annoying and I wish he compiled each week's lecture into one video. Weekly quizzes and tests were a breeze. Mark is very responsive to emails as well.

Great class, Wolters is a very engaging lecturer and the material we cover is fairly interesting. Class was pretty easy, exams weren't hard but i do wish they weren't 75% of the grade (the other being attendance and syllabus quiz) but the exams were still pretty easy MC. Overall really good class

Study guides were always similar to exams, which made this class easy to study for. was a bit taken back when I payed $60 for a textbook (made by the prof) that's used to take attendance. class was great but I stopped going halfway through, missed a couple attendance checks(4), but was fine because I did the 3% EC Sona points.

Mark Wolters is the GOAT. He truly cares about his students and makes his lectures interesting and fun to listen too (fyi he loves Culvers and hates Comcast). His test are very straight forward and are an easy A if you just do the practice exams and watch his youtube videos if you did not pay attention in class. Overall a 10/10 professor.

Very energetic and outgoing professor, obviously knows how to teach and enjoys every class. I'm not a big fan of spending $60 on a notes packet that is 80% common sense. I would've liked to have the notes on canvas because the attendance checks make sure we go to class anyway. Overall easy class just somewhat familiarize yourself with the material.
