This is the counselor for you!! She actually knows what she's talking about which tends to be unusual for counselors at brookdale. She was knowledgable about transfer opportunities and majors.

this was my first time having her for a counseling appt. i usually saw someone else who was helpful but counseling appts for my major were backed up so i saw this one. she's very helpful and friendly. would have no problem seeing her again when i fill out my candidacy for graduation form in the fall.

She is so helpful and truely cares! She will help you any which way you need it. Ive been to another counsler who told me to quit college and work for the post office!

You won't find a better professor than her. She's incredible. Engaging, clear, specific, thoughtful, and fun. Really reasonable grading criteria. You'll put in work, but, it'll be worth it. What a sweet and caring lady. Psych is a class that can get difficult at times, but group dynamics with Marlena is by far the best class I have ever taken. She is genuinely so caring. She engages all of her students and makes sure she doesn't leave anyone out and that everyone is always included. Such a sweet professor. Deff recommend taking her!

I wish she was my mother. Other professors need to observe and take note. There's only one group project and power points on canvas once in a while. Reflection paper on personality - easy. Exams are straightforward so make sure you write notes, textbook is helpful but you can totally pass without it. She really goes above and beyond, devoted to job

Have only had one class so far, but she's really awesome. Different. She asks us questions and interacts with the class, rather than just lecturing. I am excited for next week.

Mrs Frank is like the cool aunt that makes you get really happy when she's coming to visit. I would take any class she teaches and it's not even my major.

She is literally that cool aunt that you want to spend so much time with. Her class was interesting and she really likes to get to know her students. I often talked to her after class and she was always attentive and interested in what I had to say. I absolutely loved this class!

Although the class was 3 hrs long, it flew by every week! A total of four exams- you need to study!! She gives two extra credit opportunity, one report, and reading HW every week. She is an AMAZING professor- her lectures are very interesting!!! It is a Psyc class so get ready to work hard and study for the exams but if you do that you'll pass.

Group Dynamics can be challenging, both personally and emotionally. Professor Frank brought her impeccable knowledge and her strong empathy to class with her every week. I HIGHLY recommend taking her for 235. She's a pro at facilitating groups & is always aware of students' circumstances and cares about us. You will learn more about yourself in 235

Love professor frank! Hard course but study and you will pass. Great teacher and lot of passion when she teaches! Textbook is not used in class but is NEEDED if you want to pass the class. homework and tests are based off of book. Overall great experience so far in her class, would have her class again

Professor Frank was very clear on what you needed to know for each test and the way that she lectured made the course a lot easier. She almost always reinforced that she was available outside of class and seems to really care about her students' grades.

My favorite professor at Brookdale. All of her assignments were so clear, and the lectures were useful in terms of preparing for exams. No cumulative final either. Probably the most caring professor at Brookdale. Extra credit was always encouraged, even if you didn't necessarily need it. She makes psyc106 fun and interesting.

Prof Frank is hands down one of the best teachers I've had in my whole life! She is very passionate about psychology and teaching her students. She lets everyone leave once the lecture is over. Lectures are fun, and inspirational. She incorporates a lot of examples for the theories- the class is very interactive. Also, full class of Breakfast Club!

THE BEST INSTRUCTOR FOR ANY PSYC CLASS AT BROOKDALE.

Professor Franks psych class was the only class I looked forward to going to every week. Her lectures are so interesting and she is extremely sweet. Her classes have higher grade averages for exams than any other professors psych class at Brookdale. She always has class discussions and reviews before exams which helped me a lot! highly recommend.

Lectures can be boring sometimes but always gives 10-20 minute break. Really nice and caring. So easy as long as you do your work. Gives lots of extra credit opportunities.

Prof Franks class is always spot on. Shes got great energy and makes basic psychology interesting. Four tests, paper and group project. Shes always around after class to talk.

Professor Frank is truly an amazing woman, so caring for all her students and wants you to do well. Uses personal insight during lectures. Psych isn't the easiest, so you have to study if you want to do well but she is always willing to help. If you need a professor to talk to, it's Prof Frank! I wish I could take her for every psych class!

Professor Frank is amazing! She really cares for her students & trys her best to prepare them for everything. 4 tests, 1 paper, group project & 2 easy extra credit assignments. Gives you a study guide for the test, but you must study in order to pass! If you study they're easy! She always gives a review before the test based off test questions.

I love Marlena so much. She really makes sure you understand her material and gives out study guides for her tests, making it easy to get a good grade if you STUDY. She goes over the material often and makes this class very enjoyable and interesting. One of my favorite professors

Mrs. Frank is by far one of the best professors I've ever had! She really cares about you passing the class. She reviews for the test before you take it, which helps. She also gives a group project, which was easy if you worked together. All in all, a great professor and would highly recommend.

My fav professor hands down. She makes the lectures so interesting, shes very nice, and funny. Only one two page paper throughout the semester and the group project (which is easy). She goes over tests beforehand and gives out extra credit. Take her!!

Loved this professor & would highly recommend this class! This class was challenging only due to the fact I had to military obligations to take care of while completing the course and that I was dealing with a lot of emotional turmoil. However, I guarantee she'll accommodate you (like she did for me) and she'll help you with whatever you need

I took group dynamics with professor Frank and she was amazing! This class is kind of on a deeper level so be prepared to hear some heavy stuff at times.. BUT the class is so therapeutic in itself for the class, as well as gives you a chance to practice what it would be like running group therapy. Absolutely recommend her!

She is super easy going and you have to come to class for lectures because the lectures is what will be on any test you take throughout the semester.

Hands down one of the best professors/teacher I have ever had. She is so kind and you can tell she truly cares. Every single lecture we pretty much got out early. She taught exactly what would be in the exams and even went over many questions on the exam 10 minutes before you took it. Truly loved that class, taught me so much while having fun!

Took her for psych 106 amazing. Cares so much about her students, and does the most for them. Gives our test reviews there like 4 test btw. Easy paper and group presentation. Amazing teacher. Would take her again. She also offers to help students with outside issues like ex with my social anxiety

It doesn't get much better than her... she is AMAZING. her lectures are interesting, the class is fun, test are easy. overall made my experience at school 10x better. Not to mention she cares you can meet up with her anytime she is available about the class or just to talk about life or feelings!

Professor Frank's class was honestly the best class I had taken while at Brookdale, not only were here lectures great, the discussions amongst the class awesome as well. The assignments were clear and if there was any sort of confusion, Professor Frank cleared up the confusion right away! If you need to take a psych class, take her class!

This has been my dream. Walking through those doors. Making friends ( currently working on it), and roaming the long halls like a musty rat. This gives me chills. Has been my dream for a while now. Finally, at last, it came true.

Professor Frank has been an amazing professor every time I have taken her. Positive psych was the best class I've ever taken at BCC and by the end I felt like I had become a better person. There are 500 word writings every week as well as a weekly journal. Final was a 2000 word paper, but it was easy if you paid attention. Love this class and prof.

Professor Frank is one of the best teachers I've had so far. She makes the lecture super easy to understand and goes over it in the next class thoroughly. She makes a great job in explaining anything that there is confusion on and I really enjoyed her class/ teaching style. If you ever need anything she is very understanding and willing to help.

the best professor I have ever had in my 4 years at school. she is such a sweetheart and a kind hearted human. her tests are easy as long as you pay attention and take notes on lectures. the book was not super important but will def score you a few extra points if you do the readings. I didn't use the book and I did fine.

My favorite class I've ever taken at BCC. Impossible to get below an A if you show up and put effort in. I was nervous going into the class since 105 was kinda difficult but she made it a breeze. Gives two extra credit opportunities throughout the semester and really cares about her students succeeding. She even helped me determine my future.

I liked professor Frank a lot. This class felt more like a group therapy session than a traditional class, which threw me off at first. I really enjoyed this class. She was so nice and I would 100% recommend this class

Ms. Frank is the best teacher ever. She wants us to watch the lectures at home online instead of teaching it in-person. She lets us take notes while watching her lectures to prepare for tests she will give us. Just short and sweet. When we go through tough times, she is there to help. She will give some extra credit for the test. She cares for us.

Not enough good things to say about this professor. Taking this class is a breath of fresh air because you know you will not be overworked. She is so nice and cares about her students. I would take this professor any chance I got. She is always waitlisted so if you want an A in a class, sign up the first day registration opens.

there is not enough words that I can say about Professor Frank, she was by far the best professor I have ever had! she was so easygoing, so funny and caring. I loved her class and I would def take it again if I could. If you want to try something different take her Positive Psych class!

No quizzes, only four exams you take at home with a lockdown browser. Provides study guides for exams. There's one paper for the whole semester. Besides that, she grades u on attendance and has weekly discussion posts about a topic from class. Easy grader, and she offers extra credit. She says you need the textbook, but I didn't use it once.

I took this class online, she posted weekly lecture videos about an hour long. It was very easy to pass and only 1 paper the entire semester which was SO easy. I didnt have many interactions but you can tell she is a sweet, easygoing person. I def reccomend!!

Honestly debated into switching my major because I do love how she teaches, my class was hybrid, once a week in person and next online. Test are always taken at home which I was grateful for and honestly were very easy. You can email her or text she's very nice and is very friendly.

Professor Frank is AMAZING! Despite being online, she got to know each of us very well! She is so kind and willing to help you. In terms of difficulty, the class is very easy! We took four 50 question multiples choice tests and had two extra credit opportunities. The tests are exactly like the study guide. She made me excited to wake up on Mondays!
