Her class was very good, unlike some of the other math professors I had in the past at Rowan.

very helpful.. funny.. gives extra credit if you need to pass.. will meet up with you to answer your questions.. laid back class.. def. take for math

Holy**** she is the hottest prof I met. She does have her flaws though. She teaches talk as if it were a 1st grade class. Teaches very slowly. If you think you know calc 1 and ca't tolerate idiots, this is not your professor. If you dont really know calc and like eye candy, she is perfect.

She's a young, cool teacher. Lots of group work during class time, optional homework, no big assignments, and open book tests. She's pretty easy and straightforward. Just go to class and you'll do fine.

Dr. Herman is by far the best teacher I have ever had at Rowan University. All her test are open book(midterm and final) so you do not have to stress too much. She explains everything so that you understand the material. her class is an easy A.

Awesome class! She teaches you all kinds of really neat tricks with all of the TI calculators... you get free stuff! yes free... now thats hot for college! Go to class and participate... she likes a lot of communication! We even got to go outside and play with all this neat stuff that she "borrows" from TI... some very interesting things too!

Perfect professor to take Calc1 with if you either: -Dont plan on taking calc2 -Understand calc well enough to fall a little behind Teaches everything she covers wonderfully, but does move a little slow. Unfortunately, your average student will crap themselves in Calc2 And icing on the cake, shes a looker

Great teacher. She teaches like a second grade math teacher. She makes you work with partners and goes over everything until you know exactly what is going on. Tests are relatively easy considering it is completely open note. Shes very sweet and a great teacher. Shes cute in a nerdy way. Definatly take this class.

Not a bad class...all exams are open book, open notes, and you can use a calculator, which is needed for class. Gives extra credit points for a lot of stuff...she told our class that the first 10 people who rinsed the marker off the transparency sheets for her would get points. Decent class.

Great teacher. Although her tests are open book, you still need to know how to do the math. She is excellent at showing you how things work and connect in math. She is also fun and keeps class interesting. Always in a good mood.

Her voice at 925 in the morning makes me wanna shoot myself...the work is easy but she grades hard. Should be an easy class but she makes it too difficult. I would never sit through her class ever again....

She's an amazing teacher. She teaches calc so well and she gives you bonus points for everything. It's so easy to get an A in the class. She gives you take home quizes and homework quizes and lets you use notes on all the exams and on the final. She has cute outfits too.

She is a very tough grader and puts problems that youve never seen on the test. Her practice exams are nothing like her tests either. Almost impossible to get an A in this class.

She is a wonderful teacher! I was scared to death to take Patterns 2, which is Physics and Calc combined. She teaches like an elementary school teacher and lets you do group quizzes. let us use notes on the final. she goes over topics very clearly until everyone understands. best math/sci professor i've had! def take her if u can :)

She was an okay teacher. The thing i lvoed though was she let you use your notes and homework on quizzes. So do your homework and take good notes and you'll get a good grade.

The class moves very slow, especially if youve already taken calc in hs. Easy A as long as you relize the way she wants you to do the problems. Can use cheat sheets for exams and most of the quizzes are take home. Her grading system is weird so dont make any stupid mistakes bc you will lose points, but you can always earn easy bonus points!

She handed all the materials for the class in a huge packet in the beggining and moved slow enough so that people that never had calc could do good. Using a TI-89 is a very good idea too

Class moves very slow, EASy class, she is really nice and has a great fashion sense. SHe clears her throat alot which is annoying but she Lets us play with blocks and stuff. Grades HW, but the hw is very short and not hard. MIDTERM was easy, lets you make a CHEATSHEET. class is generally fun and relaxing. i would def recomment! Easy A

This is probably my favorite professor at rowan. Take her if you can. She clears her throat often. Class isn't difficult if you show up and take notes. Quizzes once a week but they end up to be group quizzes so pick your group wisely. No exams, just 1 final and you can use a cheat sheet! Get as many bonus stars as you can!

Really good class.Dr. Herman is so nice. If you have to take any math class take it with her, she is a great teacher and makes everything easy to understand. NO TESTS! only quizes, a final, and some other things. If taking her for calc get the TI-89 it will make everything so much easier.Get as many stars as you can!

Very easy class. But, it does require you to put some work in. Not hard though. And, she is great to look at, which certainly helps class go by quickly!

Alright so Dr. Herman is probably your easiest shot at getting an A in calculus. Don't need to take any notes because she has all the notes online, we didn't start derivatives till like the 4th week of the semester. She gives stars for answering questions which is extra points to your grade. Class kind of gets annoying with the stars but its easy.

Dr. Herman is a great teacher for those who nothing about calculus. If you do, you are going to want to bang your head against a wall. She grades extremely hard, the tests will be hard for you if you don't pay attention in class. Be careful and get your stars, I know it's lame but do it! Her homework is difficult and she teaches every subject.

Dr. Herman is an excellent professor! She is the best math professor I've had at rowan. She does not want you to fail. If you go to her for help she is more than willing to help. She also gives so many opportunity for extra credit. Take advantage of it! At the end of the day you get out of the class what you put into it. Highly recommend taking her

She has a star system that people complain about & I actually really liked it so just GET UP AND VOLUNTEER. It could take your B to an A-. Seriously. If you did the homework, then getting those extra credit points would be super easy. She's very clear with her teaching and I was easily able to follow along! P.S. her recommended calculator is great!

Dr. Herman makes me want to be a math professor. She is extremely well organized with clear expectations. If there's any homework problems to present, get them done in the beginning of the semester. If your not getting something, just tell her, she'll work through it. Do the homework, especially if your lost. Her notes can walk you through it.

Dr. Herman is a very good teacher. She gives out worksheets related to what you learn to help you get ready for the exam. She is organized and "calculator technologist". I like how she takes off some assignment when you reaches certain amount of papers.

Professor Herman was an excellent choice for Calc 1. There is nightly HW, but it's optional. She is a joy in class, and was incredibly helpful in explaining any topics the class struggled with. No exams given, and quizzes are pretty easy. Though, Mathmatica labs are annoying.

So sweet and will help you with any problems you have if you just ask. Responds to emails very quickly. She does a great job at keeping everyone interested as she's teaching the lessons. As long as you pay attention and do the homework you will be fine.

If you have taken Calculus in high school and need this class for a requirement, I would highly recommend her! Barely any homework and she is super nice. With my classmates who haven't taken Calculus, they say that they are struggling. If you haven't taken Calculus before, I wouldn't recommend her at first but if you have, an EASY A.

Best online course I've ever had! Just watch the videos where she give notes to follow along and do the homework where she give guides so you know exactly how you will be graded. Easy peezy, just don't be lazy and you'll do fine:)

Dr. Herman's online course is highly structured which makes it easy for you to know what to do. Her videos are great and her video notes are really helpful for learning. Just keep up with the videos and homework submissions and the online quizzes are a breeze! Highly recommend, especially if you like taking online courses.

Took Calc T&A online and everything was laid out in an organized fashion. Grades off of correctness so its tough to get good grades. Just watch all the videos and you should be good

Professor Herman runs a tough but organized online course. The material can be challenging, but her video lectures and homework help make it doable. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for extra practice.
