Professor Mahoney is a wonderful teacher. She is difficult yes, but worthwhile. Mahoney is passionate about her teaching and her students. Overall I believe that she is the greatest english professor I ever had.

Rhet 120 7:45am!! She is an awesome, fun, grammar loving professor! i would totally recommend her class because she is chill, always smiling, so nice, and very helpful. Coming from a person who hates english and sucks at writing, I felt like i improved dramatically after taking this class. She's never boring so you won't fall asleep.

She highly recommended for sure!! Her class only requires three papers for the whole semester along with a writer's reflection. We only had 6 ppl in class so it was very chill...no tension. W even watched a movie..of course it pertained to what we were writing about. Her class is not easy peasy but if you are willing to give it your all ur fine

Ms. M is a great teacher! I wasn't really confident in my writing before I took her class. Expect to invest some time in the readings and ample time on writing. Lot's of individual attention and she is a fair grader. I suggest that you take her class, you will learn a lot.

She is gorgeous. guys, your gonna have a hard time paying attention in class. Honestly, its hard to focus. She cares about her students ALOT. when everyone did poorly on a grammar quiz which was 10-15% of our grade she let us all take it again. 2 times. but the quiz was HARD. Her grading is tough. if you try hard youll do well.

Overall a pretty good teacher. Attendance isn't really mandatory but there are so many activities that are worth points, so pretty much you have to go to class. I wasn?t the best writer in her class but she was always there to help us out. I recommend her, but be prepared to work for your grade.

Mahoney is super sweet and really cares about her students. She wants everyone to become a great writer and will work with you on every one of your papers. Participate in the read arounds and your grade will improve a lot.

If you take her class be prepared to work for your grade. Hard grader but she really cares about her students and you come out of the class learning a lot. Take advantage of the read-arounds and participate a lot. If you need help with an essay or assignment don't be afraid to talk to her.

Best English teacher I have ever had! In her class I learned how to create my own writing style meanwhile staying clear and to the point. This was a very challenging class, but the amount of learning and growth was worth it. If you work hard, you'll get the grade you deserve. Thanks to her I gained so much confidence in my writing!

Professor Mahony is such an awesome teacher! She is super helpful with all of her feedback and always has time to help a student with their paper. Her assignments are not too difficult because you get them way in advance as well as prepare for the papers in class.

Best teacher I've ever had! She's absolutely a hard grader. I think only two kids in my class got an A at the end of the semester. If you do the reading and take notes in your textbook, she'll be happy with you. Occasionally there are pop quizzes. I cannot recommend her enough. She really opened my eyes to different writing techniques though. Love!

The professor Marlene is a very strict professor,she gives very low essay grade in the classes, lead to majority of her students are international students. my RHET 102 in summer was B+, however i work harder this semester in her class,gradeC+

She likes essays written differently than I was taught but once I adjusted to what she liked in an essay the class got better. There is a lot of reading and the lab is a good time to talk with her about an essay you are working on. Keep up with the reading for the pop quizzes!

Take her class! I absolutely love her! She is the best rhet teacher. She cares about each student and only wants you to succeed. It may be challenging at first, but with time, handwork, and patience this class becomes fun and fulfilling. I wish I could take her every year because she is so amazing and really knows her stuff :)

A's don't come easy in her class; however, if you listen to all that she has to say, it is surely possible to get an A. She really helped me learn to tighten up my writing and taught me any different writing techniques. She is always happy to help if you need it. Just pay attention to what she teaches you and include it in your writing. Big help!

She's very into English, so if you're taking this as a GE you might not like it so much. She expects you to do your readings and work hard on essays. If you do your work you'll do fine. If you do your work and you're a fairly good writer you'll probably get an A

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this professor. Although some assignments are tough, she's great at helping you through it. You can tell she cares about her students. It's not an easy A, but if you care about the class then you'll walk out of the class 10x better than you did when you first started for sure. TAKE HER! Most definitely get's you ready for RHET 120!

She's very smart and she knows a lot about rhetoric and writing. Take her 110 class (she is a very tough grader! I had some of the best grades and I was getting B's on the papers) and you can do 120 in your sleep! No joke... You'll learn a lot but be ready to work!

She is one of those people who decimal grades, like .25, .5, .75

As long as you participate and read, you should be ok. She's a tough grader, but you can always do read-arounds in class which really helped me. She makes you outline everything you read (for points) and sometimes gives pop quizzes. She is very sweet, but don't skip class because you'll be lost and it effects your grade.

She's really sweet and enthusiastic about writing and wants you to succeed. She is pretty clear about what she is looking for in essays. There are only 4 essays and then a couple of quizzes (sometimes 1 question pop quizzes) throughout the semester. Don't skip class or you won't pass because she takes attendance. Overall, pretty easy class.

Prof. Mahony truly cares for the growth of her students. She gives helpful feedback on papers and offers beneficial advice and suggestions. She keeps the students engaged by changing up the activities (games, peer review, group work, etc). Now, my writing is more tight and I incorporate different techniques when I write. Shes a tough grader but as long as you try and not just write the essay the night before your gonna be fine. She also split the class into 2 groups so sometimes I didn't have to come. Shes really nice.

Professor Mahony helped shape my writing style freshman year, and the tools she taught me have been prevalent in and out of the classroom. In her class, she emphasized articulation skills through the readings and essays. Although at first it seemed like a heavy workload, the constant practice is what led to my overall improvement.

Definitely not an "easy" class, but her strong focus on social justice and human rights encouraged us to explore and research topics that we were interested in. Although there was a lot of reading and work associated, it all felt relevant to the class. The projects were all creative, and she gave us important tools on how to conduct research.

Professor Mahony has helped my writing improve tremendously within two semesters. She guided the entire class towards becoming better writers with constructive critiques from herself and our own peers in group talks. She provides guidance with forming organized papers and helps her students persevere through the difficulties of mastering rhetoric.

Overall, I would say that Prof. Mahony is very nice and caring. However, she really needs to be clear about what she expects and follow her rubric. She sometimes just goes off the rubric and expect you to do something else. She grades pretty harsh and won't accept any make-up quizzes even if you were absent on pop-quiz days.

Professor Mahony is an amazing individual and instructor. She created a class setting that was inclusive of everyone. She made sure to establish personal relationships with all of her students and accommodated me when I needed help with any of our assignments. I recommend taking her course because I learned several valuable life skills!

Professor Mahony is one of my favorite teachers at USF! She truly takes the time to care for each and every one of her students. She has developed and changed my writing in the best way possible. overall the class was a very good experience. at points in the class, I am not going to lie I was confused and a bit frustrated. I did struggle with the class and its work. But now looking back at the end of the class and seeing the growth that she has pushed me towards. I can say I am grateful I took the class. It's definitely hard but worth it.

Dr. M is honestly one of the best teachers Ive had. She actually takes time to go over everyones papers in class and offer up good feedback on what needs to be fixed. We only had one quiz and it was pretty easy plus if you miss an assignment she offers up a lot of extra credit opportunities with one of the being a movie.

BEST PROFESSOR AT USFCA! If you want a professor that is caring and improve your writing ability, look no further. She creates a positive vibe, and everybody's voice is important in her class. Be prepared to manage your time, and you should be great in her class.

Prof. Mahony aka Dr. M is the best rhetoric teacher I have had at USF. Anyone that has her as a professor will not be disappointed. Excellent at teaching and is really clear about instructions. If there are any accommodations that you have, Dr. M is happy to assist all students. Dr. M also gave a good enough time frame to finish assignments. BEST

Professor Mahony is a GREAT professor if you are looking for a Rhet 120 class! She is very caring and always starts each class with a hey or how are you doing? She does give homework throughout the week, and it does pile up if you don't prioritize your workload. You will learn more about yourself and be challenged when you take her class!

Dr. Mahony's class was initially difficult but she gives good feedback. I agree that the grading was kind of tough- she is very unlikely to give extensions and emphasizes how important attendance is. If you don't mind reading and writing the class should be a breeze for you. There were a lot of assignments but some of them were spaced out p well.

Prof. Mahony is a very nice and kind instructor. The class itself was not super difficult but I sometimes found her feedback on papers to not be so helpful. On the good side though, professor Mahony is always ready to answer questions you bring to her so everything can get resolved and you can achieve a great grade in the course!

Some of her assignments are graded a little harshly, but I found that she ended up becoming more chill as the semester went on. Just submit things on time and come to class and you should get a good grade. She's a really nice professor, but not too nice to let people slack on things lmao. Also gives hella extra credit.
