He is pompous. That is the best word to describe him. He must have been made fun of as a child because he now loves every second of being in charge. I think he is truly a nice guy and means well though.
Quizzes are very hard. He is smart and he knows it. I was looking forward to lab at the beginning of the semester but then I began to not like lab day s.
I heard that he was a tough instructor before I took the class, but in the end I think our class learned more than other classes.
Marshall has a weird sense of humor that just comes off arrogant. He knows he's smarter than you and he'll make sure you know that too. Very hard Lab TA. Treated a 2000 level lab like a 4000 level. You'll learn a lot, but the quizzes are super hard. Avoid if you want an easy A!
This guy studies snakes-how hot is that?!? He's worked with some of the best in the field so he deserves any of the attitude associated with the ego...he's one of the best at what he does. Physiology is a hard subject & he approaches it on different levels (physics & chem). Did I mention he is friggin smokin HOT...in a completely nerd way!!! Yum!
I found Dr. McCue to be a very good teacher, especially during my first semester of college. He is difficult, but as long as you are willing to put in the work, he will help you and you will succeed.
Dr. McCue gives you all of the tools needed to make a high grade in his class. He gives out a lot of extra credit assignments and is always there to help you when needed. One of the Best Professors I had during my first semester
Excellent professor...conveys the necessary information with clarity and efficiency...very fair when it comes to grading and extremely helpful when in need of assistance. I would highly recommend this professor
I highly recommend this professor. I took both his general and comparative physiology courses. One of the most informative and interesting classes I have taken at STMU. A lot of the material is explained through real-world application. The class is very straight-forward and as long as you are willing to put in work, you will receive a good grade.
Sure, he has a unique sense of humor and he makes you question yourself sometimes, but that is the best way to prepare students. A lot of opportunities for extra credit are available and he is always more than willing to elaborate on material. Dr. McCue is one of very few of my favorite professors and I highly recommend him.
Dr. McCue is a great professor, I highly recommend his class. He elaborates each concept with great detail and is always open for questions. He notices students who are willing to work, put great effort and he will help you get the grade you deserve. I was not a fan of Biology and I get easily distracted, but I ended up with an A in this class :)
Great professor, mentor, and all around educator. He will prepare you for any of his tests, all you have to do is put in the time and effort.
A very knowledgable and passionate instructor who makes it very clear what is expected on exams and quizzes.
Dr. McCue is extremely knowledgable and helpful during class, and he is always around school for extra help. I took him for Physio and he made the labs really interesting by bringing in real examples and lab animals! I def recommend if you want to learn and take a serious physio course!
Dr. McCue is a excellent teacher and he is very helpful, he personally helped me by informing me how to gain experience medical schools want such as emergency room scribe and helped me arrange my college schedule. Be sure to read the powerpoints and take notes on them ahead so when you are in class you can take notes on his lectures.
Dr. McCue is a really good teacher, his methods of teaching are helpful and clear. Take notes and do his crosswords, they will be your best friend by making his test easier. His tests are not extremely easy so don't expect to pass with A's without studying, however he is fair..he will not test you over something he did not cover.Overall great class.
He's a really intelligent professor who likes to make jokes sometimes to lighten up the class' atmosphere. He grades his tests pretty harshly, but tutoring helps A LOT!!!! Read the chapters or powerpoint slides ahead of time so that you can impress him with your questions and knowledge on the lessons.
A very positive teacher that tries to engage the student to have the same fascination and passion for the subject as he does.
He is a very good teacher! His tests are extremely fair. He tells you what you what you'll be tested on and prepares you with the materials and knowledge you need for life beyond biology. Tutoring is a big help in this class and can save you!
He is a good teacher that loves biology and cares about his students. The tests are hard but fair. Read the PowerPoint’s before class, so you can focus on what he's saying. Go to the tutoring it will be very helpful.
Very efficient teacher. Power-points provide all necessary material you need to know and crosswords help a lot on tests You HAVE to review for his exams and quizzes as they are designed to ensure you learned the material. Its not too hard of a course but you EARN your grade.
hE IS HARD BUT VERY HELPFUL ESPECIALLY FOR BIO MAJORS.
Amazing professor, Really teaches general biology. We go through the entire book over the course of two semesters which really helps in the long run with future biology classes! Great levels of energy in class which keeps all of us entertained!!! highly recommended!!!
He's an excellent professor that knows his stuff. Make sure to pay attention, take notes, and be prepared for a random question. lab demonstrations very interesting and help you relate textbook material with hands on experience. Take advantage of extra credit. Tests are extremely long and cover up to 8 chapters at a time. Read and participate!!
As every other biology teacher he is also hard but he is fair. He's a fun teacher to be around.
Dr. McCue teaches his class in a very structured format & he has a good sense of humor so the class is educational and fun.
He doesn't give a lot of work, but he does cover a lot of content in class. He doesn't skim over things, he goes into details to really cover the topics which is extremely helpful. His exams are fair, no trickery at all. He gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit, so make use of them. If you read the book, you're in good hands. Pay attention!
Dr.McCues class is kinda difficult if you dont put in the effort. His class is a class where the more you put in, the more you get out. Hes very intelligent and sometimes alittle intimidating but once you get to know him, hes a great teacher.
This is a very challenging course given that he covers a chapter per class period. He is at times a little intimidating yet has a great sense of humor. Reading the book and studying the slides are essential to passing his class.
This is one of the most useful classes I could have taken in college. Dr. McCue is a great professor and helps students understand difficult concepts by keeping us on our toes during class. It's helpful to read the book as you go over his ppt slides when studying. He is always willing to help clarify confusing topics.
Challenging course, but going to lecture and paying close attention helps along with reading the chapters ahead of class.
This course is extremely useful for the DAT and dental school. Dr. McCue is interactive, passionate, and extremely knowledgeable of the material. This course is not to be taken lightly but with appropriate preparation and willingness to learn, success is in close reach. I would definitely recommend this course to any biology or science major.
I would definitely recommend this class to any bio major taking the MCAT. Dr. McCue does a great job at clarifying key points and he is always well prepared, not to mention he is always dressed to impress! The key to getting the grade you want is to definitely keep up with the readings and to never be afraid to ask questions in class!
Dr. McCue is pretty intimidating at first but when you take his class you see that he is really a great professor. He knows his stuff and enjoys teaching it. There's a lot of material in the chapters but when you have any questions, he is always happy to answer them.
Dr. McCue's class is very hard but not impossible. He is very fair and allows plenty of extra credit opportunities. If you plan to take his course be prepared to study, study, and study!!!
This class relies on attendance if you do not show up it will be harder to do well on the exams. He is a pretty helpful teacher but his tests are hard. It is very helpful if you plan on applying to professional school.
Overall good teacher. Expects students to be engaged in class and lab. Can get impatient with hesitent answers but not unreasonable. Is in the students best interest but only if they make an effort. Hard tests but very fair.
Great teacher...I'd totally take another one of his classes.
This man cares about what he's dedicated himself to and lets the subject matter get him excited every time he lectures. The result is being on the receiving end of some solid expertise in Human Physiology, the class I have with him. He's great about answering questions and professes very helpful explanations of all the organ systems. Read the book.
He is a very engaging teacher who realizes the material he is teaching is often difficult to grasp. As a result, he reiterates important concepts over and over.
Dr. McCue is a great teacher to take for gen bio because he is willing to explain and go into depth about the subject. He doesn't rush it like other teachers. McCue gives many chances for extra credit to improve your grade. All in all he's a great teacher.
Dr. McCue really knows his stuff. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. For the most part this class is very interesting but it is very challenging! Study hard because he doesn't give much classwork! Overall it's a great class & will be very beneficial.
Dr. McCue's class is great for students who are willing to learn and actually study for tests. He does an excellent job at explaining things so that the students can fully comprehend the lectures. many extra credit opportunities are available throughout the semester.
Dr. McCue enjoys the subject matter he lectures. He is prepared for classes and gives effective lectures. If you stay up with reading the chapters, pay attention during lectures, and attend class you will do great in his class. He gives several pop quizzes throughout the semester that help assess you over the chapters before the test.
McCue is a great professor! The class is organized with pop quizzes and tests that cover lots of content. As long as you read the book and really understand the concepts, you'll be fine! There are plenty of extra credit assignments so take advantage!!!
Great professor! has a sense of humor and i am always focused in his lecture because he presents his material well in class. You really need to study for the exams, but in the long run you learn every single detail there is to know about biology.
He is very energetic and loves to help students. He is very fair on his test, and gives many opportunities to raise your grade. By far he is a great biology 1401 and 1402 professor.
Great professor, super enthusiastic in his material and very funny. Engages students in class
He is a good teacher. However, you are expected to learn the marterial through reading outside of class before the lectures. Gives pop quizzes. Best attribute is his clarity, he will clarify any quesions you may have. However do note that he tends to be quite haughty; especially with those who do not have an A in his class.
Very helpful! STUDY!!!!
He is always very prompt and precise with his lectures, they are quite enjoyable. I highly recommend taking notes during class in order to further increase the quality of learning you will receive.
Dr. McCue is a GREAT biology teacher. He is very knowledgale. He may come off as not caring but he really does want to see everyone do well. If you want to work hard then he will like you. Go talk to him in his office. He's very understanding. In addition, he is extremely funny. LOVE DR. MCCUE!
Dr. McCue is a really great teacher. He is very clear in his expectations and what you need to do well in his class. You can also tell he is very dedicated to what he does, which is important for making the class meaningful. He is also very funny and keeps class interesting :] By far my favorite teacher at St. Marys.
His class is hard. The tests are fair. Tutoring will be very helpful to go to.
Study, study, study
great professor, makes you work for your grade. genuinely cares about the success of his students.
If you like animals, take bio 2 with McCue. Also, plan on spending at least 1 and a half hours everyday reviewing information due to the random pop quiz that deem helpful. Overall, the quizes are his most valuable weapon but also they train your brain to convert to long term memory.
I don't know why so many people complain about Dr. McCue. He is not rude at all and is very helpful. He doesn't make you feel stupid either. Nothing to be afraid of. Great professor.
Interested in going to class, extremely helpful in questions, funny and really interesting.
Dr. McCue is passionate about this field of study and it is obvious through the manner in which he teaches. The course requires a lot of outside study but he is more than willing to answer questions in class, after class or to point you in the direction to answer your question. Really great professor for freshmen Biology course.
Great Proffesor. You learn a lot and the manner in which the course is taught let's you make a lot of connections between the subjects. Sometimes it's a lot of information but it can be done as long as you put in the study time. Awesome personality, realistic when speaking with him and helpful as long as one takes the initiative. I say thumbs up!

Dr.McCue is a great teacher. Hes intelligent and enthusiastic. His test can be difficult but I learned to just study more and try hard. The more you try, the more hes willing to work with you. This class takes a lot of effort but its worth it.
He's really fun to listen to, he clarifies questions, and he's open to anything we need ask.
This class is awesome, and so is Dr. McCue. He is passionate about the subject and utilizes the entire class time. The textbook is very helpful, but 80% of the material you need to know for his exams is covered during lecture/powerpoint. You will get out what you put into this course. The labs are simple and helped grasp key concepts.
I highly recommend this professor. He knows the subject matter very well and explains it at a level you will be able to comprehend. If you need any help, he is willing to assist as much as needed. Finally, he is a great individual and makes the semester as pleasant and interactive as possible.
Dr. McCue is a good professor. He is very good at making you visualize what you are learning. There is a lot of information in this course, but as long as you are willing to read and study you should be good. The labs are very fun and simple, but you actually learn from them.
Dr. McCue is a good professor that makes his class interesting and has the ability to keep your attention. Although his humor can be quite sarcastic and dry, he's funny at times. I recommend taking him because this class can help those that need to take the MCAT.
Dr. McCue is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. Not only does he make the coursework interesting and fun, I have actually learned a great deal. I would highly recommend this class for anyone thinking about taking the MCAT. As long as you attend class, participate and study the power points, you will be golden!
Professor McCue utilizes each class very well and does his best to make sure the material is understood. He moves at a fast pace but there is a lot of material to cover.
First and foremost, there is NOTHING negative to say about Dr. McCue. If you take his Physiology course, I am certain that you will enjoy it as much as I did. He is passionate about what he is teaching, his lectures are amazingly thorough, and the interaction he has with his students is splendid! Tip of advice: take the class before your MCAT !!!
Physiology with Dr. McCue is a very useful coarse for PreMed students. His class helped me prepare for the MCAT and connected a lot of concepts in Biology what were not so clear before. He has a unique style of humor that some students may not like, but he makes the lectures interesting by doing so. I would take his class again!
Dr. McCue is very passionate about physiology and utilizes the time in class very well. Wet laboratory work is not a part of this class. Instead, lab assignments are easy and done on your laptop. Also, attendance is not mandatory, but definitely recommended and the course is not a walk in the park since there is a ton of material to cover.
Dr. McCue is enthusiastic and knowledgable about physiology. His lectures are among the best I've ever taken. You need to study a lot for his tests, which are about 100 questions. He offers extra credit nearly every week. If you're willing to work for it, I highly recommend this class!
I personally really enjoy this class. Dr. McCue is very helpful and attending class is worthwhile. It does take a lot of studying such as reading and reviewing the ppts, but the test are fair and grading is fair. There are also a few essays that one needs to complete, but they are not too bad. Lastly one has many chances to improve their grade.
Physiology with Dr. McCue has been an interesting class to take. He makes the class enjoyable. He utilizes the entire lecture time and the majority of the test is made up of material covered during that time. You really do have to work for the grade it wont come easy, but there are extra credit opportunities every week.

Professor McCue utilizes the entire class time effectively through his power points in which he covers all the material needed to know for the exams. He is very knowledgeable and answers any questions students have.
I don't know what you were all thinking when you wrote all those reviews. The class is a nightmare it can't get more difficult. Tutoring null. No reviews for test are provide. You end up studying 400 pgs. of data cause he doesn't make a review to help you concentrate on specific sections. Laboratory quizzes are a nightmare. Amount of work unreal!
Very interesting class, and overall he was very helpful.
The class requires a lot of dedication and daily reading to keep up with homework due every class. Exams are straightforward but require understanding not just memorization. Extra credits are offered daily and are simple to complete, these can add up to make up for low grades on homework!
This class is very informative. You will learn a lot. Dr. McCue covers one chapter per lecture so the class moves at a fast pace. However his lectures, labs, and powerpoints help you process the information easier. He also offers a lot of extra credit to help raise your grade.
McCue is a really good professor. His exams are not that hard if you study his powerpoints. He always is willing to boost your grade by providing extra credit opportunities. He is rather sarcastic some times but overall he is a really good professor.
There are 4 exams (including the non-cumulative final), each covers 6 chapters. A TON of material to go over but he does not 'trick' students on exams. He also provides lots of extra credit opportunities. He uses power points for each lecture which are extremely helpful for studying. Lab quizzes every day. Overall good experience in the class.
tests are straight forward not tricky at all, as long as you study you will do good. easy to approach. lectures are kinda boring, really have to get myself together to pay attention
Attendance isn't mandatory but it is important to go to lectures and pay attention. The homework quizzes can be difficult and time consuming. The lab quizzes were difficult at first but once you get used to them, they get easier because you know what questions to expect.

Dr. McCue is a great professor to take for this physiology course. He is very knowledgeable of the material and gives post-reading question assignments daily that really help you keep up with the readings. The class requires a lot of dedication, but the professor is always there to help you out. His lectures are interesting and he has great humor.
He covers a lot of material in between tests (6 chapters/test), but if you have any question he can always help. This class requires a lot of reading and studying on your own. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunities. Take this course if you are planning on taking the MCAT or DAT at the end of the semester.

He is a really good teacher. He makes sure you understand the material and he is very clear about what he wants you to do.
Good teacher. Knew the topic very well, and conveyed the information to the students well. You do need to read in order to understand the material and for the tests.
Dr. McCue teaches the class with a Stephen Colbert style. Not only does he look like him, but he explains the most important points clearly and with enthusiasm. You do have to do a lot of independent study just because there's so much information, but overall, great teacher.
His class is definitely worth taking. It is not the easiest class to take since you are required to do a lot of intense reading and studying but it is a really interesting class. He makes the labs pretty interesting as well and the tests are all related to the lectures and labs. Pretty straight forward.
Dr. McCue's lecture can be a little quick and a little too much to take notes. The lecture can be boring, but the lab is a nice simulation lab, although a bit long and there are lab quizzes).
Dense material!
He knows his stuff so make sure to know yours. The work load is a bit time consuming but well worth taking the class.

Overall, his is very encouraging.
Somewhat sarcastic, but good at what he does. Fair grader and attendance is a must! Great Labs!!
Dr. McCue is an excellent professor. Funny. Easy to approach. Passionate about his lecture material. Super cool. Loves his research. Don't skip class. Read chapters beforehand. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Labs are super interesting. Prepared me well for medical school. Best dressed professor. Must take before graduate Best course.
You need to pay close attention to his lectures since he make his test questions after class each day.
Tests are based on power points. 4 exams and a final. If you study the lectures you'll be good. He's funny and makes class as fun as Physio can be.
Dr. McCue is a rare find. Most science professors are really serious and unapproachable but he is very down to earth, and makes students feel comfortable going to him for any questions or concerns. His tests are challenging, but just pay attention in class and read up on anything you need more clarification on and you'll be good.
I appreciated the tests in this class, there are no trick questions. Tests are straightforward, you know it or you don't. Class does not drag on, either.
Reading prior to class helps understand material much better during lecture. He often asks to "tell a story" this helps you use own words to know pathways and such.
Dr. McCue's class is one of the most fair classes you can take. What he teaches is what you can expect in the exam. He tells you what to read and there are no surprises. He is willing to help if you are willing to work. Lots of extra credit opportunities.
Make sure you read ahead to have a better understanding on the lecture. Test are based on the powerpoints, but make sure you have a clear understanding on what the powerpoint is saying. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities!
He helps by making jokes about material to help remember.
Tests are tough but he leads a group review session in class before the test which is helpful. He grades fairly but you have to read and put in the effort!
Marshall McCue is an excellent professor and offers his passion regarding physiology to his students. I would highly recommend him to others.
No easy. If you are not a Pre-Med student I suggest you not take his course.
Good professor if you have good study habits.
This may be one of the worst professors I've ever had. I didn't learn anything new in that class. He is very rude and intimidating, when you ask questions. I would not recommend him
Dr. McCue's class is interesting. I am a psych major and I'm glad I took this class because I learned things I would have never learned otherwise. Prof McCue gives you opportunities for extra credit. His tests are not easy, so you need to keep up. Don't wait until last minute to study material. I would definitely recommend his class.
I really liked this course. It was the hardest BL course so far. He is really funny but a tough grader. Make sure you do well on your group presentation- it counts as much as an exam.
McCue is pretty rude, he thinks it's funny but in reality we all end up afraid to speak. Test reviews are useless so you should study by reading the book and then review with his ppts. He writes his questions after each lecture so either record or take good notes.
Great class!!
I am glad it took this class. I really had no idea what physiology was before now.
I would recommend Dr. McCue's physiology class. He keeps lecture entertaining and is always fair on exams. Exams can be tough. You have to read and study.
There's no reason you shouldn't pass this class (General Physiology). Attendance isn't mandatory but Dr. McCue explains the material very clearly and efficiently so make sure you go to class. Tests are fair. Read the chapters and study the graphs in the PPTs. The class is straightforward but you need to put in the time and effort to earn your grade
Dr. McCue is a great teacher that makes class very enjoyable. Everything that you can expect on the exams are outlined in his lectures and powerpoint. He also offers a lot of extra credit so as long as you are willing to put in the effort, you will get an A. The subject itself is very interesting so you won't be bored!
This was honestly the best class I've taken as a biology major. McCue talks really fast but all the information is interesting and he really engages the students. He is really funny as well. As long as you are willing to put in a little time and effort you should be fine.
As a Psych major, Dr. McCue helped me have a greater understanding of the psychological aspects of biology. He is very clear when it comes to lecturing, sometimes tends to be sarcastic or humorous which makes the class more engaging and interesting. Definitely, will recommend this class to other Psych majors looking into Biology for non-majors.
Tough class, but interesting topics. I didn't feel comfortable asking questions in class. I like the labs, though.
Dr. McCue is probably one of the best teachers that I have taken here at St. Mary's University. I have learned a tremendous amount of information; and this course really cemented my base knowledge of biology. Dr. McCue also makes his courses very entertaining and easy to engage in. He is always willing to help his students.
Dr. McCue really makes you work for the grade that you want to receive. This course is not easy; however, if you put in the work, you should be okay. Dr. McCue is always willing to help his students both inside and outside of the class. Expect Quizzes after every lab, but know that he will make sure you know the information.
Dr. McCue's physiology class is hard but very rewarding because what you learn sticks and he makes it very interesting. The tests are hard but he does make it easier than what it could be and this makes it better for the students to learn the concepts instead of having to learn every detail and not remembering at all. The lectures are not boring.
Dr. McCue makes you work hard to earn a high grade. The tests are long but if you study the lectures, you'll be fine. There is a quiz every lab period. Sometimes he comes off as a jerk because he makes you feel dumb but you learn to laugh it off. He makes jokes and tries to make the class laugh often. He offers a lot of extra credit!
Dr. McCue's Physiology course is really interesting, he makes class fun with lots of jokes. You should come prepared to lab because there will be a quiz every lab period. He uses Powerpoints in lecture so you should definitely focus on them when studying for exams.
Dr. McCue is an amazing professor. He is very clear on his expectations. The interactive labs are my favorite.
Dr. McCue explains lecture topics clearly and in detail. He also has witty sense of humor that makes class a bit more interesting.
Dr. McCue is a wonderful professor. He gives out lots of extra credit, which helps a lot. His powerpoints are very useful and review days before the exams are helpful as well. Labs are very interesting!
So far enjoying the class and learning a lot!
Great professor, very straightforward. Extra credit is always given. If you want to pass, read the book and take good notes.
Dr. McCue is an excellent professor! He makes lectures very interesting! Would definitely recommend him!
Class is a new lecture/chapter every time! Record the lectures to make sure you don't miss anything! Tests are VERY fair. If he goes over it in class/lecture/lab you can expect it to be on the test. The reviews before the test definitely help!
He keeps you engaged in class and is there if you don't understand any part of the material. Makes this subject interesting.
He is a good professor, and I would recommend taking him. Pay attention to his lectures, they are very important. As long as you show up to class, take good notes and do well on his lab quizzes you should be fine. He makes class interesting and engaging.
I would recommend taking him. Pay attention to his lectures, they are very important. As long as you show up to class, take good notes and do well on his lab quizzes you should be fine. He makes class interesting and engaging.
He is quite a character, but makes class interesting and interactive. Make sure to attend all the lectures because the test are very lecture heavy, do well on your lab quizzes (it helps!). Any opportunity he gives you for extra credit, take it. Overall he is a good teacher and I would defiantly take him again.
McCue is an interesting character. He stands on chairs and tables while lecturing in order to get his point across. Hilarious but respected. Very recommened.
Awesome class. Dr. McCue pin point the most important material throughout his power points. His tests are challenging but they go in accordance to the material covered in class.
He provides great concept details during lectures and provides applicable experiments during lab to reinforce those concepts. Use the lecture slide printouts to write additional information which may or may not be specified in the textbook. Read each textbook chapter and the main concept figures carefully.
Good Professor. MUST ATTEND LECTURES AND READ OR YOU WILL NOT DO WELL IN THIS CLASS. No in lecture quizzes. Gives extra credit. Tests are hard but he reviews you well for them!
Dr. McCue really knows his material. What you put into this class is what you will get out--make the most of it. The simulation laboratory exercises make lab fun and easier to understand.
Great professor. I enjoy his lectures and his sense of humor. Tests are very straightforward and fact-based.
Class is difficult definitely have to work for an A. Great professor, incredibly fair you earn what you put in. Very funny. Presents information very well. - Physio
Very clear how the grade is broken down and the tests different style of questions.
Dr McCue is an awesome professor. His lecture is clear and concise with interjections relevant to the class which make it entertaining. After taking many hardcore biologies, it was fun to take this class; it operates at the highest level of Bloom's taxonomy, well worth the money you pay. (Which cannot be said for most STMU classes). Thanks Dr McCue
Conveys material across clearly. Reading the book is not completely necessary. Only when something was not clear look at that section. For the most part, his power-points are very informational and his tests come straight from them. Study them well. Simulation lab is super easy. Do the activities before lab to save on time. I definitely recommend.
Dr. McCue is a good professor, his teaching is very clear. If you show up to class and pay attention in lecture he outlines what you need to know for the test. As long as you go to lecture and study you should be fine.
Dr. McCue successfully made me laugh just about every lecture. His class was very informative and he does a good job of keeping the lecture fun.
The class follows the syllabus exactly, so you know in advance what is expected. Test format seems like it will be easy but you really need to study and know the material. Labs are fairly simple with a quiz at the end of each lab, which are easy points.
Awesome, amazing, spectacular, out of this world, intelligent, unordinary.
Great teacher. Use his powerpoints.
Dr. McCue keeps his lectures interesting. I learned a great deal during this course and would recommend him to other students. The tests are mainly based on his PowerPoints, but reading the textbook will definitely help. He's a fair grader, so basically what you put into the class is what you'll get from it.
Dr. McCue is very interesting type of professor, and one i would defiantly recommend taking. He keeps lecture interesting and lab worth doing. If he would have thought more sciences i would have had no second thought in selecting him as the instructor.
Really to the point. Powerpoints are very informational. Super approachable. There is nothing on the exams that you havent seen before. The sim labs are super easy, and you can do them ahead of time.
Dr. McCue is an excellent professor, he is very clear with the information that you need to know, and he is quite funny. Use the power points, he pulls everything on the test from there. You will learn a lot from Dr. McCue's class and will enjoy it immensely.
Dr. McCue is a great, entertaining and knowledgeable professor. I recommend taking him, for his material is taught clear and precise and test questions are taken directly from PowerPoint lecture.
A very poor teacher. You won't learn much, if anything. Total waste of time. Also, he has a mean streak a mile wide. Watch out! Course was disorganized, he didn't follow his own syllabus, and he insults students. I ignored it the first time thinking he just had a bad day but it happened repeatedly to many students without justification. Avoid!
I'm not sure what the two posts below mine are referring to, but McCue is one of the best professors I've ever had. I don't know any professor that sticks to his syllabus more, and he is probably the least judgmental professor at the school. He gives incredible lectures, and really makes it easy to understand challenging material. HIGHLY recommend.
Knows physiology well, keeps students engaged. Punctilious with grading, and sticks to the syllabus. Exams are straightforward, and reflect material covered in class, reading or lab.
This is one of the best courses that I have taken at StMU. The subject matter is challenging but Dr. McCue makes every lecture interesting. He makes the material easy to understand and encourages class participation. I would recommend this course and professor to absolutely everyone!
Dr. McCue is an EXCELLENT professor. You can tell that Dr. McCue cares about his students, and wants the best for them. His class is not easy, but it is worth it! I can honestly say he is one of the best professors that I have had at St. Mary's! He makes his lectures fun, interesting, and adds in a great sense of humor.
I enjoy being in Dr. McCue's class, because he is very straightforward, informative, and hilarious. He really want us to learn and be interested in Physiology, no matter what our major is. He isn't tricky or disorganized at all. He strictly goes by the syllabus. Does great with in-class test reviews. Offers many extra credit opportunities!
He is definitely very passionate about teaching this subject and is really funny and witty but it takes a lot of extra reading and possibly a lot of biology background to get what is going on in the course. Is it do-able? of course, but you have to be able to dedicate the necessary time if not more in order to understand and pass this course.
Keeps the students engaged. Tests are detailed and straightforward, you will need to study, but not "tricky". He does have an observer that is learning to be a physio teacher. I wish that person wouldn't participate because it gets Dr. McCue sometimes going on a tangent and takes up our classtime so we don't get the chp completely finished.
He is a great professor and explains the topics very well. He is funny and makes the course interesting.
Dr. McCue is obviously very passionate about the subject and is able to describe the topics in detail. I like that he follows the syllabus so you always know what to expect. As long as you study and show up to class the class is do-able.
The class is definitely do-able as long as you study the textbook and power points. I like that he follows the syllabus so there's no surprises.
Dr. McCue is a great professor. He really knows how to engage his students throughout his lectures. He teaches the subject very well. I would definitely recommend his Physiology course. This is honestly my favorite Bio class so far at STMU. You learn so much and he makes the course very engaging and interesting.
Very good professor! Its a shame that he left St Marys. Everyone loved going to his office. Going to his office was very fun and taught me a lot in his office! A lot of activities and techniques regarding the biological body was taught to me in his office ! Best professor ever!
