Professor Naylor's lectures are really fun and easy to follow. The class has 4 essays total and grading is tough on those, however, you do get an opportunity to resubmit. This class has over 100 points in extra credit which is awesome! He is very understanding and extends deadlines when life is getting in the way. Take his class, you'll love it!
Honestly professor Naylor was so fun I really loved his lectures they were not boring at all. His coursework that you should only worry about are the essays but he gives great feedback so you have nothing to worry about I would definitely take him again if i need to.
He is a great teacher, just be ready to write essay. They aren't too hard, and he gives great feedback to help you get through his class. He doesn't want anyone to fail so he wants you to speak to him about grades to help you. He also gives out a quiz once a week but hands out a lot of extra credit so you shouldn't fail the class.
He is a very interesting professor! He isn't your usual boring lecture type. He definitely gets into his lectures and he keeps what he teaches relevant to current events as well. Honestly, if I wasn't graduating I would definitely take him again! Thank you professor Naylor!
Very charismatic and truly makes lectures enjoyable. Participation isn't entirely required yet he keeps the environment lively. Easy to follow.
An amazing professor who is very flexible in turn in dates. He gives great feedback and lets you resubmit your paper. He gives excellent lectures and is very funny. Be ready to write papers.
He is the sole reason I even laugh anymore. I would sell everything I have just to make sure I get a class with him again.
he was a great teacher
values communication and grades you on a few papers. provides replacement grades for revisions. actually reads all of the submissions and takes the time to provide individual feedback. Getting an A on your first draft is earned and actually takes real effort and a concrete understanding of the material.
four papers define the majority of your grade revisions can be used to replace your second grade actually reads your submissions and grades them accordingly provides excellent feedback requires a true understanding to the material to earn an A
He is an amazing professor and extremely funny and cool. He works with you really well if you communicate with him. Would definitely take him again!
Professor Naylor was the highlight of this semester. His lectures were always very interesting and informative. His energy and passion for teaching are evident five minutes into the first class meeting you have with him. While he does have four papers, he always has multiple submissions and he is always one email away.
A lot of professors say you can let them know if you have problems that would affect your ability to do school work then don't work with you to help you in their class. Naylor is one of the only professors I've had that actually do want to help. He provides plenty of opportunity to do well. He is also funny so the class doesn't feel intimidating.
He is an amazing professor but the 4 essays you are given in this class will be hard and they will determine if you pass or fail this class.
Professor Naylor is such an amazing professor! He loves making jokes and making class enjoyable. He remembers everyone's names and always uses us in his examples during class. The material is a little hard to understand but he comes up with easy ways to help remember them. We have 4 papers and for every paper he would allow unlimited rewrites.
so funny and reasonable. his content can be a little overwhelming, but he is good at answering questions and making sure that everyone understands what's going on. there are 10 question t/f quizzes, discussion boards, and a few essays but he lets you redo for full credit or submit them late if you email him your situation. he has extra credit too
Lectures were always interesting. He was very helpful with essays by offering extra credit if you send a draft for him to send you notes and offering resubmissions. After the first essay, I asked to meet with him and just expected to discuss the grade and he jumped right in to helping me rewrite. He's very helpful and knowledgeable!
He is very funny and makes class, and ethics fun. The material is not difficult because he thoroughly goes over it, and uses great examples for students to understand. If there is something he went over that is questionable, he assesses the confusion with understanding feedback.
This professor always tried his best for his students. He is very understanding with turning in assignments and genuinely listens to us and wants to see us succeed. He always brought his best to the class and would make it fun and explain real world problems about ethics and their theories.
Naylor is amazing. Attend class and listen to lectures and you will pass. Professor is super helpful and very easy going. Offers many oppertunities for extra credit. I would definitely take him again.
Super nice! Does what most professors won't do- remembers students names. Engaging lectures and amazing energy EVERY class/lecture.
He was a very engaging professor. Impossible to fall asleep in his class. The only downside is he likes to talk a lot and go on tangents sometimes.
He was very engaging. It was impossible to fall asleep in his class. The only downside was that he talked a lot so sometimes he would go on tangents.
Amazing professor, I would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in philosophy to take this course. He is very helpful outside of class and will give you all the help and support to make sure you do well. The class is very student interactive, and he makes sure everyone is included.
Professor Naylor is funny, and he connects with the class easily. When giving lectures he always uses topics that the class can relate to, or at least be able to understand for what the week's topic is. Some of the readings that are given on Blackboard can be a bit difficult to understand because 'old English' is used, besides that class isn't hard
You're lucky if you take Professor Naylor's course. A 10/10 professor. Super understandable and caring when it comes to his students. Pretty easy assignments. Discussion Boards and quizzes every week. An essay about every 2 weeks as well as a chance to get feedback and resubmission. Just attend the class every week and you'll be fine!
Professor Naylor has a unique way of teaching. I took this course with this expectation, so I adapted a bit better than others. Overall he is an amazing professor and if at any point you become overwhelmed with the information, he will offer private sessions so that you fully understand the course information.
Professor Naylor has a unique way of teaching. I took this course with this expectation, so I adapted a bit better than others. Content may be a bit confusing, but there are several opportunities to ask for clarification. Overall he is an amazing professor.
This professor has a way to make a boring topic like ethics fun and he is an amazing lecturer.
Do your work on time, ask professor is there any confusion. Professor Naylor is always available for any question or concert.
Professor Naylor gave everybody his upmost care. There was times I could not understand the content and he would explain it as many times as I needed. He does zoom meetings outside of class to help with essays. His essays are straightforward. If you are a creative writer you may struggle a little like how I did at first. He is a very fun professor!
I had a blast in this class. I love how every lesson was applied with real life experiences and how easy it was to communicate and socialize in this class. It felt like a really safe environment. I love it!
Awesome professor!! I have a really hard time writing papers and his class is very essay orientated but he was so willing to help me and make sure I pass his class.
Naylor is very funny, engaging, and understanding. Essays are the major grade so he is very particular with the rubric, just make sure to answer everything the prompt is asking for. If you do get a low essay grade, he offers rewrites and you can improve your grade. Highly recommend him.
Very ECCENTRIC dude. Can take current situations from such as the slap from the Oscars and make it a lecture that very same day. Always happy and laughing.
Professor Naylor taught me a lot of life lessons and the class was so interesting. I did not only learn about philosophy. but about life as well. I would for sure take another class with Professor Naylor again.
He is a good professor, try not to fall behind because everything will start adding up. The essays are pretty hard, make sure to take advantage of the extra credit opportunities.
Not that the whole class was easy because ethics can be a little confusing, but he made it very easy to understand and assignments are very straight forward! He was easy to talk to and made class feel comfortable, gave good lectures and related theories etc.. to real life situations which made the class easy to understand and not boring lol !
Naylor is really funny in class and even asks you about your life. He gives out quizzes every week that are pretty easy true and false questions. The only thing is that the essays he hands out are a little tricky if you don't follow his rubric. He gives out a lot of extra credit though. Overall he's pretty funny and entertaining when in lecture:)
I feel Professor Naylor did an awesome job relaying information to students. In the course the material, to me, was a little confusing at times. Professor Naylor made sure students understood the material before moving on with the lesson. His excellent feed back and willingness to work with me helped me retain information.
Naylor is an amazing teacher! He really cares about his students and his course, but he makes it fun. He interacts and trys to get to know you. He uses his stories/our stories in his lectures and helps us understand what he's trying to say.
great class! this was my second class with naylor and i am taking another next semester.
Professor Naylor is an awesome professor! He engages with the class and tries to make the topics easier by relating them to our lives which can make things more relatable. The only negative thing I would say is his essays are kind of difficult. I would definitely recommend talking to him for help and taking advantage of the extra credit!
This class is pretty straightforward. Mainly need to watch the videos to do the work. The professor is also funny and chill. Very understanding if you need more time for the essays.
Naylor is attentive and one of a kind! Hes passionate about what he teaches and does his best to give you several methods of learning. Would recommend his class to all!
Naylor isn't like any other teacher I've had before. He is charismatic, energetic, and really smart. Something very unique about him is that he takes the time to learn the students name. He is very flexible and will work with you to help you as long as you put in the effort. He understands the student like no other teacher and he's truly a pleasure
Professor Naylor is an AMAZING professor. His energetic and loving personality made the class fun and interesting. I have definitely learned so much from him and would highly recommend anyone to take any of his classes!
He is pretty funny and makes a course that's sounds boring pretty fun. Beware of Essays tho, if you don't like writing essays I don't suggest taking the class. Oh and he has a nice drip.
Overall, really enjoyed this professor he was super funny and made attending class enjoyable.
I always have a good time in professor Naylor's class. He is funny and helpful teacher!
I enjoy lectures in Professors Naylors class!
I love being able to laugh at school because the professor makes the lectures so fun.
He is one of the best teachers I have ever had in college. His classes are super fun and he teaches very well. He explains the details of the class and he always has time for you. Besides that, he has a great personality and always responds to messages.
Professor Naylor is an estatic professor. The energy he brings into the classroom is good and the learning environment is very interactive. Highly recommend him for anyone that is going to take his class. Content of the work was difficult but it becomes easy to understand later on.
Professor Naylor is the most understanding and patient professor I have ever had. While taking his class, I am very pregnant and he helped so much with assignments and just being available whenever I needed him. Best professor ever! He does use a textbook but he gives you the PDF's so you dont have to buy it.
Cool professor and very understanding
Really loved him. If you are looking for a professor that is entraining and engages with the class def take this class.
Professor Naylor was such a great teacher. He engaged with the class every time and made class fun and worth attending.
Professor Naylor's class is fun and I think his class is great for most people. The class style does not work will with my learning style, but that's no one's fault. I would recommend his class to others.
Naylor is the best college professor I have had. He is very caring and understanding. He learned everyones name in my class. I had a relative pass away this semester and he did everything he could to help me and be flexible. He makes learning about ethics fun. Although ethics can be confusing, he teaches it in a way that is easy to understand.
Teaches better than most professors and makes the class fun.
This class is very easy if you watch lectures and write the essays following the rubric. The professor makes learning fun and keeps you entertained. If you have to take this class get it with him.
Professor Naylor's course was one of the most intriguing and engaging philosophy classes I have taken! He is really open to leaving great feedback and just working with you to succeed in the class as long as you put in the effort!
Lectures are very informative and engaging. He ties ethics to real life/current situations. Had 4 paper to do and he does provide feedback if you submit paper before deadline so you can get a good score.
He strongly recommends that you attend the class. However, he is willing to work with student's situations. He also does not require a text book but you have the option to buy one if you so choose to.
Fun class and nice professor
If you are thinking of taking this class with professor Naylor, do it. He is a very understanding person and if you have any issues at home, he is reasonable and willing to work with you to ensure you understand and pass the class. He makes the time in class fun, and if there's any question you have, he will always answer them! :)
Professor Naylor is one of the most thoughtful persons I have ever met. He makes sure to involve everyone in the class so no one feels left out, and he is a super funny guy. He is available outside of class and gives great feedback to your assignments. He makes sure everyone does well in his class no matter what situation you may be facing.
Professor Naylor is probably one of the funniest professors I have encountered. I definitely recommend his class. He is super helpful with anything you need.
His teaching style is very unique and he keeps you engaged through his lecture videos (which I found very entertaining). He made himself available anytime I had a question or concern and offered extra credit which was really nice. I would definitely take another class instructed by him.
Professor Naylor is awesome! His personality is what makes lectures interesting. On top of that, he really cares about the success of his students and is so understanding about some situations that would hinder that. I would take him again in a heartbeat!!
You should definitely choose him as my professor, but I would recommend not taking his classes online or during the summer. I would've had a better experience in his class if I had taken it during a long semester. He expects a lot from the students but if you ask for help, he will definitely be accessible.
Great professor, I just don't like the subject in general. He gave multiple opportunities for better grades, and gave great feedback.
I took Professor Marshall for a five week summer class which are normally pretty stressful, but he made it super easy and easy to understand. He he lets you turn in your exams before they are due for extra credit and he gives feedback on them for the final submission. Assignments were clear, quizzes are T/F and he sometimes reopens them. 10/10!!!
Professor Naylor is the best and this course is quite easy if you try. I took him for a 5 week summer session and it was one of the most stress free classes I've ever taken. He gives A GOOD AMOUNT OF EXTRA CREDIT and he's very accommodating. He also lets you turn in essays ahead of time for FEEDBACK and EXTRA CREDIT which is really helpful.
Professor Naylor is an amazing and flexible professor! He gives his students many opportunities to succeed by offering extra credit and presenting the material in a number of ways so that everybody can have a choice in how they learn best. He makes the material fun and interesting while keeping it rooted in the primary sources intentions.
For being a 5 week course, I surprisingly enjoyed this class! Professor Naylor keeps you engaged through the prerecorded lectures. He was very understanding and always gave great feedback. There were 4 exams, 10 quizzes and 10 DB. This class requires a lot of time and work, but if you follow the course readings and lectures you should do great!
not much to say about the professor he is very clear what he wants and he is very open minded and forgiving about a lot of things.
The professor was really knowledgeable on the subject matter. This class was difficult for me because my major is less abstract than the subject matter covered in this class. This professor did provide several avenues to ensure that all students learned the subject and gave several opportunities for the students to earn their best grade possible.
Professor is ready to teach, so be ready to take notes and pay attention to the material. If you get confused, you can email professor for more guided help to understand the work.
I loved how the professor was understanding but strict at the same time.
Professor Naylor is extraordinary! He is very interactive and always looks out for us by allowing multiple attempts on quizzes/tests. I only said he is a tough grader just because of tests. There might be something I am missing, but he does provide feedback on what you can correct once you ask. Overall, he is terrific. TAKE HIS CLASSES!!
Professor Naylor makes it fun and enjoyable. He will give you feedback to get better grades and also help with extra credit. I recommend taking his class if you get the chance.
Naylor is an excellent instructor! If I have a chance to have him as an instructor again, I would defiantly do it. He never made his lecture videos boring! He gives you chances to redo every assignment and exam and also gives you feedback. He also gives plenty of extra credit options!
This professor is amazing and help a lot with the extra credit as well. he makes sure that you understand the lectures and the class materials.
This professor has really good lectures and allows you to receive feedback from exams and then turn them in again for another grade. He is flexible with turn-in days as long as you communicate with him. He does post a lot of discussion boards and quizzes often but I am in a 5-week course rather than a 16-week course so that is to be expected.
Super understanding but still strict and makes the course entertaining
This professor is always very engaging and makes learning fun, he likes to always include extra credit in everything and also gives multiple chances in quizzes and exams and discussion boards. He is very flexible with you and responds to emails very quickly in less than 12 hours. I love this professor, I learned so much, best professor!
I really enjoyed his lectures, they were both entertaining and informative. It was a lot of work but understandably so since it was only a 5 week class. He offered a lot of opportunities for extra credit and was always available if I had any questions. I would definitely take another class instructed by him!
I enjoyed his lectures and even though it was a lot of work, he always gave opportunities for extra credit and was available any time I had a question.
Professor Naylor gave great feedback to all of the exams we took. He gave us opportunities to improve our work that we turned in.
Professor Naylor is fantastic. I would recommend taking his class in person because it is a little hard to understand just by watching videos and reading information. Also, if you do not have much time for this class during the summer, take it during a long semester.
Great professor! Always available and offers feedback on all his assignments.
Professor Naylor is an overall really good professor. Gives chances to fix grades on assignments and extra credit to improve if needed. Amazing and informative lectures and makes jokes to make it more fun to be learning. Easy material and fairly simple course.
Marshall Naylor is a great professor. Answered all questions that I had asked and was there if I was stuck. This class is going to be very difficult if you fall behind once and is lazy with it. A lot of essays and quizzes. Overall, pretty easy class.
He responds well outside of class and he will give you great feedback for you to improve on your exams. He also provides extra credit as well. He is also easy going when asking for extensions. I definitely would take this class again 100% and specifically with this professor!
Personally, philosophy is not for me but needed it for my degree plan. However, Naylor was a great professor! I honestly believe if I took it with anyone else I would've failed miserably. Very understanding and his lectures are very easy to follow
He is very organized and will give you the necessary information that you need for the current lesson that your learning. He will give you feedback of your exam draft for you to be able to turn in a great exam.
Great teaching style, incorporated humor with assignments! Very understanding professor.
Professor responds to emails in a professional and reliable fashion. Professor extends deadlines when needed, just ask and be communicative; this is all they ask for.
He is very understanding and will work with you if you communicate in a timely manner. He provides feedbacks on exams and gives extra credit for submitting drafts. His lectures and modules are very entertaining and easy to understand.
Professor Naylor is one of the best professors I've ever had! this course was taken during the Summer so it was a lot of work, I've missed a few deadlines in his class and was able to email him and ask for an extension. he is very understanding when life gets in the way of school work and the best part is that he has a great humor.
Always stay on top of it, especially during the summer online course. This professor is amazing though and allows for growth and some opportunities to better your grades and extra credits. Make sure you read through and take advantage of the lessons, they are very in-depth and great information not just for your grade but for life in general. memes
the class is easy but the only problem i had was the exams which were hard to understand. I also had problem with true and false quizes because the wording was difficult to understand.
Easy class to take to fulfill your philosophy credit. I took it over the summer while taking 3 other classes. He is willing to work with you and you can even turn in stuff late for full credit. There is a lot of daily work that does take some time however, he made sure to let me know he was ready to help in whatever way we could. 10/10 recommend.
Professor Naylor is engaging with the way he teaches and instantly gets everyone invested with the course content, even with an asynchronous class. While there is a lot of work to keep an eye on, the subject matter is fun to learn about, especially with the professor's knowledge and usage of memes and pop culture references.
I took this class during the Summer and everything was fast paced. You have to be able to keep up with the modules, reading, quizzes and exams. Professor Naylor explains everything well in his lecture videos and he even makes it enjoyable. The work is not too bad, but it's just a matter of understanding the material and doing the work on time.
Lots of homework, but very forgiving if an assignment gets turned in a day late. Let's you retake quizzes and resubmit revised exams. 10/10.
Professor Marshall Naylor was a very great teacher and I would highly recommend him. His lectures and quizzes are easily accessible and understandable. He does work with you and your outside life and understands that sometimes we are busy. As long as you communicate with him, and he does respond as fast as he can, the class will be a breeze.
Great professor, really enjoyed his class. Wish I took it over the fall or spring, a lot of information was covered in a short period of time due to it being a summer class.
Professor Naylor is a pretty regimented professor who is very involved with students as long as you reach out. The biggest issue was stuffing a 16-week course into five weeks. Had it been 10, or even 8 weeks, it would have felt less jam-packed. If you are juggling other classes and work, I don't recommend it unless you're comfortable with writing.
This professor grades pretty harshly and the language that the professor uses is very scholarly so it can be difficult to understand/decipher.
Professor Naylor was great! I took his class in the summer. He made it easy and fun to learn. I love his gifs in every lecture video or in the course readings. I learned a lot in five weeks. He provides resubmissions, extra credit, and opportunities to retake your quizzes. I recommend him. If I had the chance I would take his course again.
I like Professor Naylor! He gives brief, straightforward lectures that are quite simple to understand. The task should be simple if you watch the announcement videos and review the lecture, at least it was for me. However, aside from that, I really liked his online class.
This professor was amazing! There was a lot of extra credit that was given so it's unlikely you will fail the class.
I signed up for Introduction to Ethics in the summer and we would have quizzes, discussions, and written exams due each week. Everything was well organized, posted, and graded in a timely manner. We would watch lecture videos throughout the week. Additionally, I enjoyed learning the material and the professor does a great job of explaining things.
Took this class during the summer. Work load is heavy since we only had 5 weeks but he makes it very simple. Lectures are interesting and he makes everything easy to understand. He offers extra credit and provides help when you need it. Would definitely recommend and I would take him again for another class.
she was very helpful even when i was failing and helped me get my grade up.
She gave amazing feedback and gave me the chance to fix my mistakes.
The lectures he gives over the weekly topics help alot. Be prepared for him to grde the exams hard though he gives redo so it helps alot. Overall a good class and woukd take it again.
Professor Naylor was amazing! His lectures were great and funny which made this class not boring. Naylor does give out lots of quizzes, but they're not hard. Extra credit opportunities will be given, which will help in the long run. Looking for an online Ethics course with a great professor? Take Naylor!
10/10 I do quite like this professor. He is very responsive in email.
This was probably by far the best online class I have taken. Lectures are pre recorded but contain a great amount of detail to give you the information you need.
Very understanding and respectful, he understands that life happens and its not always under our control.
Introduction to Ethic's was an interesting class where we learned about various moral theories. Professor Naylor gives us module with the weekly readings from our text, lessons we are going over, and weekly assignments. He gives clear instructions and grades fairly.
Very professional and overall a great Professor. You can clearly tell that he really cares about the student. When he does his lecture he makes sure to add a few jokes here and there.
Marshall Naylor Is A Professor That Wants To See You Pass Greatly In His Class. He Will Work To Ensure you Understand The Content!
Overall a good class experience! However, I spent a chunk of the semester ill, which likely impacted my opinion, as Naylor was more than helpful! The class had humorous lectures that tried to include all students. They, at times, could be overbearing it did help in remembering the content.
Great Professor, gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities, and redos assignments/exams. I would defintely take the class again!
Predictable lectures, a professor who knows what it takes to do his assignments and will tell you exactly how. Great professor for an intro course.
If you see a class available for him, take it immediately. He one of the best professor I ever had. He is very chill, charismatic, and is very passionate about what he teaches. If your someone that is looking to fill up your credit hour, I would highly recommend taking this course.
I really enjoyed this class. Professor Naylor made it fun, engaging, and easy to understand. He answered all of the questions we had, even going as far as to make it relatable to real life experiences we have so that it was easier to understand. He gave excellent feedback when requested and was always willing to help whenever needed.
Although my grade was not what I hoped for he was always available. Never had a problem with reaching out to him, he also gave me so many chances to redo everything. The grading was a little hard all exams I failed but I got to redo them many times again.
He is one of the best professors I had this semester He gives out many extra credits, usually extends the due dates when the students request it, has well-answering emails, and gives good feedback on the exam. He gave us several chances to raise our exam grades by giving us re-attempt assignments. I highly recommend the course with Professor Naylor
He was a really funny professor and I would take his class again. I would say the only thing to watch out for is making sure you watch the online lectures. He's a bit of a rambler and, at times, can be difficult to understand, but he was always available, gave lots of extra credit, and honestly made it extrememly difficult to fail this class.
Naylor does a great job at giving back feedback and making sure you understand what you did incorrectly. However, I believe Naylor's way of teaching can at times come across unclear and without a clear direction.
Great environment in the classroom. Super flexible. Do the extra credit!! You'll thank me later. Offers plenty of chances for corrections. Email him, he will answer.
Naylor offers a lot of chances to redo exams and time to complete course work even if you've missed the due date. He gives a good amount of extra credit throughout the semester, you can get extra points just for sending in drafts. He responds to emails usually within the same day if not the next.
The professor put a lot of efforts into this class and the in person lectures are engaging, funny and new. Personally, the teaching style didn't work for me but the videos and material he created and provided were helpful. Pay attention, study and take every chance to improve your grade. If you do those three things then you will definitely pass :)
Professor Naylor has always been one of my favorites at TAMUSA. He is very funny but also makes sure that we are all at the same pace in class. But one of the best parts of having him as a professor, is the videos that he post through out the course module. Normally it would be like a song or a movie that is connected to whatever subject we were o
Professor Naylor is, by far, one of my favorite professors. Always made sure class was interactive and engaged during lectures. Understood life happens and made it a point to communicate w him if there was anything we needed in class. Overall an amazing professor, made sure class understood material and gave personalized feedback when requested.
Professor Naylor is hilarious in his approach to the topic and his informal and formal style of teaching made the otherwise difficult topics easy to understand. Would very much take this course again if given the chance.
Incredibly generous professor. Animated, engaging lectures. Very communicative and utilizes online platforms proficiently. Coursework is more than manageable, but pay extra attention to exam prompts and guidance. This was something I struggled with, but Professor Naylor will work with you to get you where you need to be.
Professor Naylor is here for your success! There are so many great opportunities in his classes to work with you as a student and human being. The course is great, and filled with so much dense material! I highly recommend you taking him as a professor! The course teaches you a lot about self discipline as well!
He is an hilarious professor that gives you multiple chances to correct your grade. And gives a lot of extra credit.
For his lectures, Professor Naylor combined personal anecdotes with the concepts of ethics in order to make the topics relatable to real world situations. It was apparent the moment that he spoke that Professor Naylor had a great grasp on ethics, but unfortunately, he had trouble conveying some of the material clearly to the class.
Good and cool proffessor lets you retry exams but takes a while to grade them.
This was such a great class. We met once a week as well as online interaction with video lectures. Professor Naylor makes it almost impossible to fail the class! He provides multiple chances for extra credit throughout the semester. He is very communicative, understanding and overall wants to see all of his students prosper in his class. 10/10
As long as you understand the material he is putting out and are able to understand how to compile it into discussion post and answers on exams you should be good. However make sure to write down notes from the zoom lectures he puts out as those are what help you the most on any of the quizzes he put out.
Naylor is such a GREAT teacher!! My favorite so far, he keeps the class fun and is VERY lenient. Talk to him about anything, he is understanding and compassionate.
He is a great professor in the way that he teaches during his class lectures. He jokes a lot while still being able to stick to the material that he's teaching so time flies while learning about ethics. I would definitely take another class taught by him if I got the chance to choose one.
Prof. Naylor is one of the best professors I've had. He really works with you and actually cares about your education. He's hilarious and gives extra credit.
Naylor will always work with you if you feel like it's getting too much for you. I highly recommend talking to him, if you have problems outside of class like work, taking care of family, etc. There is no shaming in asking for help and Naylor will do everything in his power to help you.
Naylor was the best, he such a caring professor and always made sure to help you understand the subject. The subject itself wasn't too hard but because I over thought most of the subjects it was a bit harder for me. Other than that, its a great subject!
It is apparent that Mr. Naylor knows his material well, and cares about his students' performance. He tries to present his material in a manner that accommodates younger students. His approach, however, seems more appropriate for a high school audience than a college audience composed of variegated adult learners. I find his mannerisms distracting.
He was an amazing Professor he helps you out when you need more time as long as you email him. He is super funny in his class and it really helps the material stick!!
He was such a great professor!! He gave great feedback and also was super funny during his lectures, which helped the material stick! Overall amazing professor
One of the best professors at TAMU. He deeply cares for his students and wants to get to know every single one of us. His lectures are interesting and his online videos are very knowledgable. His exams are a bit difficult but if you watch all his video lectures you will be ok.
The professor keeps you engaged and he also gives out several extra credit opportunities to supplement your average.

He is very student friendly!
He gives you all of the material to be successful in this class. Funny, interactive in person and virtual lectures.
Naylor gives you all the materials you need to be successful in this class. If I had to take this class over, I would choose him. He is funny, helpful, and understanding of student's outside lives.
The material is hard to understand, but he gives you everything you need to be successful in his class.
The material is difficult, but he gives you everything you need to be successful.
Mr. Naylor is a great teacher. He is so smart and funny and keeps the class engaged.
Mr. Naylor provides all material needed to complete assignments. Material is difficult to understand and not a structured but he is definitely always available to help. He provides plenty of opportunities to succeed. I would take one his classes again. He is understanding of life events and helpful.
Very great professor. Has your attention 24/7 during lectures. Gives discussion boards and quizzes every week. 4 exams in total. Gives a lot of extra credit opportunities even for exams. I would for sure take him again.
I would for sure take him again if I could. I highly recommend. He is very flexible.
TAKE HIS CLASS! He's a easy grader, reliable, understanding, homework is optional, he also takes late work just let him know, he answers his emails, and it's never a dull moment in his class.
Professor Naylor is a very interactive teacher. His engagement with the class is best described is unorthodox. He is a caring professor that understands that every student is not only taking other classes but we also have lives outside the classroom. One of the best professors in my opinion is definitely a memorable one in a positive way.
Definitely recommend taking ethics with professor Naylor. Lectures were always fun and he taught the course material very well. Everyone has a chance of passing his class as long as you complete assignments. He was also good at answering any questions his students had and he provided great feedback for exams.
His lectures were great and helped a lot with the exams, which are essays. This lecture videos and modules were also so great and helped to understand the material better. He does give extra credit opportunities and is easy to reach through email.
The material is difficult to understand, but he provides you with everything you need to be successful. I recommend attending his in person lectures because they are really helpful.
Professor Naylor was amazing! His class was always interesting and never boring! He gives a lot of extra credit and its impossible to fail his course.
Professor Naylor has a very fluid ability to make Ethics a very interesting subject to study. His understanding of the subject and the ability to bring practicality to his lectures and allowing us to full grasp and be able to apply the subject matter.
This professor made sure we understand modules in class and he also made 20 minute videos about everything we learned from our class. When he was explaining the assignments or modules in class he used relatable examples that we could understand .
Mr Naylor actually cares about his students being successful. He will work with you and help you with anything you need help with. You have to do the work though..
The professor was pretty funny and offered to help the students.
His in-person lectures are very entertaining and engaging in the course material. I took his hybrid class so there were multiple sources to look back on such as the in-person lectures, learning modules, and zoom videos. He is Funny and cool to talk to.
The professor is professional. He is very laid back and will help you. Does a good job teaching. Exams are a little difficult.
Taking this class was honestly such a fun experience, and it was truly a vigorous learning experience every day with Professor Naylor. What I liked the most about this professor was that he was flexible and understanding. We had the opportunity to ask for an extension anytime we wanted, and we also had the chance to redo many assignments.
The course was a hybrid so videos would be posted discussing the unit/topic. The in-class lecture focused on review of the material and was open for questions. He made sure to go over everything so that we had it all at our disposal, even in writing on blackboard. Really cool and funny professor. Offered many chances for help to his students.
He a great professor to have. He is very understanding and does give many ways to improve your grade in his class.
He's weird in a good way
He is great with interacting with the students, but need to pay attention and read the material. Very tough grader.
Awesome Profressor super funny. Gives a lot of extra credit. Genuinely wants everyone to pass, but must pay attention because it was a hard class. Very tough grader. If you don't show up or watch lectures it will be tough.
He is a great professor, very engaging and knows how to do his job.
He is a great Professor overall. He really just wants everyone to pass and will help you if you just communicate with him.
He is a great professor overall and wants to see everyone pass at the end of the day. He works with you as long as you communicate with him.
This professor is very amazing, he cares about each students and will help them out when they reach out. The professor is very reachable and chill. He knows when to use humor to teach and made the class very fun and exciting.
Very big on communication, makes class a very fun learning experience, sends reminders for assignments and offers a great amount of extra credit! he definitely cares about his students and truly gives his all!
Professor Naylor was very understanding, he tried different ways to explain material for us to understand it, it was easy for us to contact him outside class and he was very fast at responding too, he always made class interesting, it was such a great experience to take this course with Professor Naylor. He's great.
The best professor that I had this semester, great and fun lecture's, personally I don't like philosophy, but the instructor made it really easy, I would definitely take his classes if I needed to. One of the best.
Professor Naylor keeps his lectures engaging through jokes and involving the class. He posts lots of online lectures that are helpful and even exam reviews. I had a tough semester as I had a health issue come up. He was the most understanding out of my other professors and gave me more time to catch up. Doing the extra credit also helps a lot!
Awesome extra credit opportunities!
He is a cool professor, really helpful. Also, attendance isn't mandatory but attending class is fun so who cares.
Great professor, would recommend.
Professor Naylor is not only funny, but has a good way of teaching through short stories and examples. This really helped me understand what was going on in the lecture. The quizzes can be confusing in a way since they're straighforward and sometimes doesn't make sense because of it, but other than that he's an efficient and easygoing professor.
Very funny and easygoing professor, would recommend again and take his class again.
Really down to earth and funny. Lectures are short and to the point. Work is really straightforward and simple, with a lot of extra credit available if something goes wrong. Definitely recommend.
Very funny prof, with simple and straightforward work. A lot of extra credit opportunities as well.
A lot of extra credit opportunities.
A lot of extra credit opportunities. Don't be too worried if you bomb an exam, he gives opportunities for resubmissions and offers notes for each point that he had deducted.
A lot of extra credit opportunities. Don't be too worried if you bomb an exam, he gives opportunities for resubmissions and offers notes for each point that he had deducted. He is very attentive in his responses to emails.
Great professor! Many opportunities for extra credit and very understanding.
Great professor! Many opportunities for extra credit and an understanding professor.
Make sure you check daily on emails and blackboard there is always updates and videos. I would recommended the redo's of exams or quizzes to get a better score.
Be on top of your email and blackboard as well of videos being uploaded daily. Make sure to do the redo the test and quizzes if possible.
This professor was really cool. He responded fast to my emails. He will work with you as long as you tell him what is going on. He tries to help his students as much as possible.
Overall, I liked my experience in Intro to Ethics course. It was very easy work you just have to pay attention and read (basic college things). Very simple class and he is very caring, he gives good feedback and gives you multiple chances to resubmit your work.
Awesome Professor! I highly recommend Professor Naylor, he gives multiple extra credit opportunities, allows resubmissions of exams and quizzes, and is super understanding! He wants nothing but for us to succeed in this class!
Best Professor! Super understanding, gives many opportunities for extra credit, allows resubmissions on exams and quizzes. He feedback is also really good! I highly recommend taking him for Ethics.
I wasn't really comfortable with the method of lecture at first. The little avatar creeped me out. But as the semester went on I was able to ignore it. Naylor is very helpful when it comes to accommodations and assisting when you can't get something done ontime or want a redo. He wants the students to pass which is a good thing.
There was a lot of work, but it was not hard if you kept up with the reading and the lectures. I enjoyed the class and the teacher. I would take him in another class.
I really like this teacher. He provided good analogies of the topics he shared. Very funny lectures and kept me interested in class. The topic of the class was difficult to put my mind around but he made it clear and provides good feedback.
Provided good understanding on Ethics. I had a hard time getting started on some papers but he helped me with a lot. Very accessible
Professor Naylor is easy to listen to in his lectures. He attempts to put out roughly one 20 minute lecture a day. Class is heavily weighted on a few tests that are graded subjectively. He is responsive to emails and gives plenty of opportunity to improve on grades if needed. Great personality, and is very informative.
Professor Naylor's unique way of teaching stood out and made retaining the information easier. I would recommend taking his class.
It's very easy to listen to lectures (lots of them.) Grade is heavily weighted on a few tests that are basically essay questions. Prof Naylor is very knowledgeable in his field however may go a little too in depth for an introductory course. Helps you if you need to re-do assignments, get feedback, etc.
Prof. Naylor gives good lectures and is passionate about his field. He gives plenty of opportunity to get feedback on assignments and re-write if necessary. Very responsive to emails and is considerate of other obligations outside of the classroom.
Professor Naylor always gave great feedback when I asked for it.
Instructor taught the course and was on top of releasing the conduct and giving feedback on exams and discussions. Released lots of information and tied into pop culture to try and make the connection for the topics of the course.
Offers lots of extra credit. Exams are medium answer essay questions. Definitely take your time on those things. Quizzes are easy, and discussion posts are easy. Can redo lots of work. Standards seem high but this is college lol.
Personally, I do not like ethics so is hard for me to understand but this has nothing to do with the professor. He does post lectures everyday which made me fall behind a bit because I have other classes with big protects but he is a great teacher. He is very understanding and he tries to make ethics simple.
Professor is very fun and very helpful. He answers emails pretty fast, gives a lot of extra credit opportunity and the assignments are very easy. He provides plenty of time for us to complete the assignments and gives many resources that will help us with the material.
Professor released lots of content for each topic. The content was tied to pop culture to try and make the understanding of the topic easier. Gives Extra credit by letting you submit exams early for feedback. Lets you resubmit quizes and exam for a better grade.
Quick email response. Book was not required. Professor Naylor will post pdf files provide them to you. Will post videos everyday. Sometimes twice a day which are helpful and provide information that will help you on the quizzes and exams. Also, he does allow you to retake quizzes and exams for better grades and provides extra credit as well.
The layout for this class was really easy to follow along especially for online. Professor was somewhat of a tough grader but as long as you followed guidelines and the rubric you would get a good grade, the prof was ready to give feedback when asked and always responds to emails asap. You're even able to re do exams to earn points back
I disliked the avatar he used, I felt there was a disconnect but as the semester went on I got use to it a little bit. Professor Naylor was very understanding and helpful when it came to missed assignments and extra credit.
Quizzes and discussion boards throughout the semester. 3 exams that he is very heavy on grading. You have an opportunity to resubmit them, but I never received better grades. About 10 quizzes that did not really make sense, but he allows resubmission sometimes. Overall, he is a good professor who does try his best for his students to succeed.
Professor Naylor was excellent at explaining each topic we learned about. We had lots of discussion boards with our peers and he always gave awesome feedback.
Professor Naylor was extremely helpful in our course work and gives great feedback.
I want other students to know that this is a good class to take online.
He is really helpful in giving feedback on exams and quizzes. Although the topic may be difficult to understand at times, his funny lectures and digestible analogies provide good study material and never bore you.
Be ready to read. He works with you if you need more time to turn in homework. He gives you a clear idea of what he is looking for. I do recommend this professor. I fell behind because I was moving and he was willing to work with me. Honestly if you just talk to him. He understands
He is a very good teacher and allows retests to improve scores, so everyone should be able to do fairly well in his course. If you keep up with his video lectures and the material he puts up in the content section and go for all the extra credit that he gives everyone an option to do. To Mr. Naylor, I say Camsahabnida, Seonsaengnim!
A great professor, provides book for you. Easy to manage this class. Seemed harder to understand through online, but highly recommend.
Given multiple chances to redo quizzes and reasonable with work completion. Gave feedback for essays and allowed you to redo work, earn points, and get help. Communicate and he will answer!
Very communicative and works well with situations that arise
He gives multiple chances for many different assignments and gives extra credit and also is very communicative about any situations that arise and works well with you
Professor Naylor gives his students many chances on quizzes and assignments. He will give you feedback on essays if you ask for it and he truly cares what he teaches about. Overall, this is a good class to take.
Professor Naylor is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. There are 4 papers in this class along with quizzes and discussions. The papers have about four prompts that you answer. The good thing about the papers is that he gives you extra credit if you submit a draft to him which he then adds feedback that you can use on paper.
Professor Naylor is caring and understanding, as long as you communicate with him, he'll work with you. There are quite a bit of papers (4) but with each one, you're able to submit a draft and receive extra credit from that. There are quizzes and discussions as well in this course. The quizzes are open note and are true and false.
Great and quirky professor. He presents the information in an easy-to-understand and fun way which is important for a philosophy course, especially for someone who is not a philosophy major.
This class is easy you read and take the quiz which you can use the notes
This class is easy you read and do quizzes and you can use the notes.
Great Professor! Gives a lot of opportunities to turn in late assignments and retake quizzes. Would 10 out 10 take again.
Great Professor! Gives a lot of opportunities to turn in late assignments and retake quizzes. Would 10 out 10 take again. If this class does not fall under your career path but is in your degree plan I would recommend this class with this professor.
He is a very good teacher. He keeps your attention. Like his anime
a good teacher he allows you to redo assignments and exams or quizes
As long as you keep up with the lectures and the modules he posts his class isn't too bad and it is pretty interesting.
Nothing crazy, just study the best you can.
Fun class, a funny guy, and reasonable.
Good course, but I struggled understanding quizzes and exams. I believe this course should have some contact (like zoom) throughout the course. Instructor knows his material, but his anime character he used for his presentations did not go with the caliber of this course; and he interrupted his course quite a bit to tend to or talk about his dog.
I have taken professor Naylor for two years. He is overall a wonderful teacher and gives plenty of extra credit at the end. Make sure you read read read the power points, do the discussion boards, and watch all the videos. It is a straight forward class as long as you stay on track and do what is needed.
I have taken professor Naylor for about 2 years and he is the best. Make sure you read the power points, do the discussion boards, and watch the videos. At the very end, he gives plenty of extra credit which is awesome and a lot of help. I recommend this professor for classes.
Overall great feedback, exams definitely need a lot of attention but the professor works with you as long as you put in the work. Module participation was hit or miss, I often misinterpreted the modules, but the professor provided great feedback.
This professor is super understanding. If you have personal things going on and you need an extension Professor Naylor will grant it. If you have exams, you will get great feedback. Lots of extra credit opportunities.
Lots of pre recorded lectures and discussion boards. Also expect to have at least a quiz a week with a test/exam every now and then. The material was hard for me to understand but plenty of resources were provided.
This professor is very caring about all of his students as he can be very understanding. Professor Naylor is who I would take for any course and I recommend this professor 100 percent! (Online course: weekly module with quizzes, and 3 exams with 4 short prompts for each exam)
I took PHIL 2306: Intro To Ethics and I loved it. He uses a book as a source of material but you aren't required to purchase this book because he gives you the pages needed. He is also helpful with the feedback he provided on our assignments. The biggest thing for me was his online lectures because they were always engaging and fun to watch.
I've never left one of this reviews before, but Professor Naylor made me change that! These past few semesters definitely haven't been the easiest for me, but Professor Naylor was so kind and understanding. He genuinely wants his students to do well, and it's a great feeling. You won't regret taking him!
Professor is very accessible if you need help, and is always keeping good communication with the class.
He is extremely understanding and will make sure he is doing everything he can for you. I highly recommend taking this course with him.
Very easy professor to work with and is nice and respectable. The work is challenging sometimes but he gives clear and easy-to-understand material of all content.
Workload is great, I had a good time in this course, but I wouldn't want to take it again. The discussions can be confusing especially when philosophy is not your strong suit. But overall, a good professor his methods are exquisite but make you think out of your normal atmosphere.
I was iffy about this subject because of how foreign it is to me, but he made it fun, engaging & entertaining. He definitely does his all to make the subject understanding and delivers his lectures amazingly. Plenty of extra credit opportunities! I would take this course again & any other with him.
This professor offers extra credit. Very reasonable and understands that life happens.
Great professor, just a bunch of lectures. Overall great class and engaging lecture videos nonetheless.
The overall class was interesting and informative, the professor was very communicative throughout the whole semester and was willing to accommodate and provided feedback for all assignments.
This professor was awesome. He was understanding and gave feedback on how to improve in the class.
He's a lot of fun and maximizes online teaching techniques and resources. He's also very helpful and easy to communicate with.
An amazing professor and extremely helpful. The more you communicate with him, the more helpful he is! I really recommend him!
Great class and great professor! I took this course online during the spring semester and the workload was super easy! He is very good at giving directions and examples, also gives his students many chances to redo work and extra credit!
Great professor, I enjoy his unique way of giving lectures.
Professor Naylor was great! I really enjoyed listening to his online lectures, as he made them more accessible and entertaining!
Works with you and is very consistent.
Always responds within reasonable time.
Professor Naylor was amazing. Not only did he very clearly discuss what we were learning, but he is very open to working with his students and allowing extensions based on issues that may pop up here and there.
Professor Naylor was amazing. Not only was he very clear about the content that we were discussing, but he is very understanding and willing to work with you on extension or of you are needing extra help.
Professor Naylor is a great teacher. He is extremely understanding and will always extend deadlines for you if you just ask him.
Stay on top of the readings and assignments should be easy. All lectures are recordings so you can always watch them again to refresh yourself on a specific subject.
Stay on top of readings and assignments are easy. Lectures were recorded and accessible.
He is a creative and understanding professor. Probably my favorite professor to date.
This professor is a simple man. He is very clear cut with his assignments and he makes it easier for the students. His feedback is great, so don't be afraid to talk to him and ask for feedback.
A very fun professor who knows how to teach a class well. He made this class better than any average teacher could. He also gives really good feedback.
Although this was an online class he was very present which I enjoyed. He posts daily lectures, there are some discussion post, quizzes, and three exams. His exams are probably the most difficult so make sure to watch the videos and take notes. He does offer many chances at extra credit which is great! He is also very funny!
I took PHL 2306 with Professor Naylor during my last semester as an undergrad here at Texas A&M University San Antonio and one thing I know for certain now is, I'm really glad I did. He's funny, flexible, and really considerate of his students. As long as you stay caught up with lectures, quizzes, and discussion boards, you'll be A okay.
I live a super busy life, so I like that he gave enough time to complete assignments and provided good feedback.
Naylor really does care about the topic he is teaching and is making an earnest effort to ensure that his students walk away with an actual understanding of how to use ethics.
This teacher had a lot of materials a video part, a module part and a PDF part and redoing work for more credit is a normal thing in his class and he likes anime I guess.
Naylor is an amazing teacher, watch his lectures and take notes easy class
Professor Naylor is such a great professor and make his class so much fun! Truly enjoyed having him this semester and would recommend everyone to take his course. You will learn a lot in this course and Professor Naylor with assist you with any problem you might have! He truly made my spring semester so memorable.
He is very difficult but very fair and very good
Professor Naylor's online lectures and modules. His lectures average 20 minutes and he provides the sections of the textbook necessary online on Blackboard to download. His grading system is one of the fairest I've experienced. You'll also be able to re-write exams with the chance to drop the lower grade. All Exams are written. Writing Intensive
All exams are essay based. You're given opportunities to re-written your Exams. Online lectures average 20 minutes. Text and modules available on Blackboard. You don't have to buy a textbook.
