I agree she is a bit flighty, but a great teacher overall!

I'm a journalism major, so i like to write, but i loved her class, didn't miss one! Has a lot of energy and is ready to share it with you.

Mrs. Ambrose is an absolutely enthusiastic and innovative professor. She inspired me from the beginning. If she were my professor 15 years ago, I wouldn't have had to retake this course. I feel as though I left her class more educated than upon entering. I give her an 'A+'. ~Tony

Wonderful and interesting. One of the best prof's at edison!!!! She is tough, but is always willing to help a student. Even if you do not enjoy the subject, she makes it worthwhile.

Professor Ambrose is awesome, I reccomend her to everyone who ask me about a good comp professor, and even to those who don't ask. Ambrose is very fair. I just love her, she's a classy lady.

She's clear, kind, patient, super helpful, and organized. She explains what you did wrong and praises what you did right. She doesn't pile up assignments either. She's a tough grader, but she's great overall.

Prof. Ambrose encourages the thinking and writing process to a new level. She is extremely sweet, tough, but fair. Her classes are a blast, and as long as you put something of yourself into it, you will get a lot out, and more than just a grade. She genuinely cares, is a published author and has been teaching at Edison for twenty years. Take her!

She is very calm while teaching, very peaceful and educated tone of voice. She is always there if you need help and her papers are not that hard. You have a draft,then she corrects it, you rewrite with corrections. Easy A

Prof Ambrose really is an amazing teacher. I cared very little about lit before this class, but she made it fun & easy to follow. The assignments are very straightforward and she grades very fairly. She is always there for you and actually does care for her students. If you want to take a lit class and enjoy it (without too much work) take her!

Prof Ambrose is AMAZING! I took American Lit and she taught it very well! It was very discussion-oriented and she was open to all opinions. We actually used the textbook quite extensively, too! The tests were a breeze if you actually paid attention in class. She was funny, and always around to help out! Easy A. I'd totally take from her again!

Amazing attitude! this class in general is so fascinating but with the group teaching she uses with her colleges Swanson and Chase..this class with ambrose makes it a must take! no HW, only take home exams which are so easy. As long as you keep up with the readings you will do excellent! any one that takes this class leaves being a new person!

Professor Ambrose is the best professor at Edison, hands down. I've taken her previously as well, and no matter what she teaches, she is wonderful at it! Very understanding and makes learning fun and enjoyable. LOVE the writing assignments! Take her over anyone else! She's the best!

This professor means well and she is a very helpful teacher. Although, considering it was a blended class, you did not really have to attend her class at all, because everything was posted online as well. This class was such an easy A!

BEST PROFESSOR AT EDISON BY FAR! She is very nice, cares about you as a student and person. Open book quizzes and tests. 3 Papers. 1 Final Exam Paper done in class and that's it. Easy A if you know how to be nice, lively, write and take open book quizzes. She is the best professor I have taken so far.

I truly adored Professor Ambrose. She was a fantastic teacher and very thorough when explaining assignments. She stresses using the text book so you don't feel like you wasted your money on the book.Selected great works of art to analyze.Relaxed atmosphere and loved attending every class.

Took CRW 2001 -- Online. It was great and Prof. Ambrose helped me to improve my fiction. The class wasn't hard, but learned alot. Totally recommend her and the class.

Prof Ambrose is one of those teachers who touches your life and teaches in a way you love learning. The class is fun and I had confirmation I should continue writing. Also that my personal editing skills are improving.

There is only one word to describe Professor Ambrose: AMAZING! Actually, words can not describe her. She is an experience that should not be missed. Once you have taken her in anything she teaches, I guarantee you'll never forget her.

The professor was very sweet and loved for students to speak their minds in class. There is no textbook for this class, simply 3 books that you read throughout the semester. Attend lectures and class meetings, read assignments and it's an easy A.

Great Professor, class is easy but interesting, extremely helpful, understanding, and fair. she tells you exactly what you need to do and helps you do it. She is the best professor I've taken at edison. 3 essays you do at home (700-1000 words), 2 in class essays (500 words), 1 final essay about how you have improved, and a couple of assignment

Professor Ambrose was extremely helpful and kind. She reads over essays before you turn them in and gives advice on how to improve. In-class discussions were very interesting and were why I looked forward to coming to class. I would highly recommend this professor because she really wants her students to succeed.

Wonderful professor. Great class discussions. Truly loves literature and cares about students' success. Assignments are simple, only one paper was more than 500 words. Exams are easy, if you read. Class requires a good amount of reading, but she keeps it very doable. Easy grader, and willing to work with you on assignments.

She is one of the best professors I have come across. She is funny, kind, caring, and really helps out everyone. She is not strict and is very laid back. I took her for great human questions and I ended up liking the class (even though I don't like humanities.) She is always open for feedback and is loved by all. I would take her for everything!

This is an essay writing class, so you will be writing no matter who you take. However, she is very nice and her syllabus is crystal clear. I took her during a mini-semester, and the writing got a little overwhelming, so make sure to work ahead. Follow her instructions carefully. If you ask her questions, etc., she will get back to you quickly.

Took this class and had a death in the family which required traveling. I came back and explained the matter and she let me make up the work. I started out with an A and ended with an F because I somehow missed 3 major assignments. Not her fault but my own, I should have kept checking to see if they were graded but they were never turned it.

Taking ENC 1102 with professor Ambrose was amazing. She really cares for her students and gives excellent feedback. We had book quizzes , extra credit, short essays, and 5major essays. She was always there if you need help with your papers. She made class so interesting. This writing intensive class was well worth it.

I took this course online, and passed with a B- after missing a couple of big assignments. Professor Ambrose is very helpful, and always responds quickly to e-mails. I loved this Comp course, challenging but not impossible.

There were very few examples of what she expected for your assignments. The descriptions were a little confusing. Sometimes you had to really dig around for requirements because they are not all listed in the same place. It was still an easy class. If you use Grammarly to get 100%, then you are likely to get an A from her.

I would definitely recommend taking her class because she gives great feedback, assignment requirements are clear, and the class discussions are very interesting. No textbook required but a USB is because you do have a couple papers to write. Great teacher with such a sweet personality.

Professor Ambrose is by far the sweetest teacher here at FSW. She is really passionate with HUM and gives excellent point of views and questions. If I could I would re-take her class.

Her lectures can sometimes get boring but she has a good heart and will work with you if you need any help.

Just like any class you are expected to complete the work. The writing in this class is not that complicated. I dislike writing intensive classes in general but was able to pass this class with an A. The teacher is understanding and is quick to reply to messages. I would absolutely recommended taking this class online.

This was a required class, but I leaned so much about poetry and literature. Good essay topics. The professor was so kind and always met with me if I had questions. Would definitely take her againgreat experience.

I took the class in the summer online and wrote three essays and a research paper. The professor let me re-write two of the essays for a higher grade because of some research things. Liked the poetry part. Good professor!

Professor Ambrose is kind and patient enough to be your Grandma! Lots of easy papers and discussion boards. She is funny, loves to chat with the class. She brought doughnuts on our writing days. She would also sit with you and explain what she wanted in assignments. Textbook, you CAN survive easily without it. She gave me a hug on the last day:)

Mrs. Ambrose was one of the most kindest woman I have ever met , she treats her students as people rather than work . The class is actually focused on learning and not busy work , I applaud her for that so take her if you have the chance.

This teacher is the absolute SWEETEST- she has positive announcements to brighten your day. She also had extra credit opportunities towards the end of my semester. I have good writing skills, but if you're struggling, she is the online professor to take - she will be understanding and help you reach your goals. Please take her class!

I have a language barrier and this professor was very understanding. She gave us extra time to turn in assignments and let us correct the ones that weren't graded well.

Took online class: very caring, encouraging, and appreciating hard work. Online recorded lectures were super easy to understand, emphasis on brainstorming to produce good quality essays. Not many essays. easy quizzes and tests. great feedback to help students learn. Overall, super easy class to get "A" if you put some effort into it.

Would 100% take Prof. Ambrose again. She was not a tough grader, was very understanding and lenient during/after Hurricane Ian. The only downfalls: hella discussion posts, and high word counts for the essays & kind of for the discussion posts. However, it is an English class after all, so I expected that. Take her class for sure!!

Professor Ambrose was incredibly insightful and caring. She often extended deadlines if students needed it and was always easy to get in contact with. Be ready to write! Lots of discussions and essays to meet word counts but overall easy. I am not the best writer, but she was always encouraging, and I managed to end the class with an A!

This professor is really one of the favorites I have had at the college. She is very caring and responsive. I took it fully online and even though I learned quite a bit, it was nothing I didn't already learn in ENC1101. It was a pretty easy credit to get, and she helps you the whole way through.

The professor is really great! She gives feedback on all your assignments and sends weekly reminders to help you stay on track. There aren't many essays to write, and the quizzes are averaged. Plus, she's nice when it comes to grading, so if you do your work, it should be easy to get an A. I would take her class again because she's awesome!

If you are looking for one of the easiest As of your life, take Martha's COMP 1 class! I mean seriously her assignments are interesting and this class is not work intensive whatsoever. Maybe two assignments a week (maybe). Four papers for the entire semester.

I LOVE HER! If you are taking Comp 1 please take her class. She is so nice and not to tough of a grader and is very understanding of the conditions of all of her students. It was a joy to have her as a professor last semester. Save yourself by taking her class.

I actually loved this class. This professor isn't a tough grader, and the writing assignments are engaging. The readings for the assignments aren't difficult at all. If you can write than this class won't be a struggle, and you'll learn a thing or two!

She is so kind and gives us so much time to complete our assignments and papers, She is very understanding about our situations and when hurricane Milton hit she gave us extended time to complete our late work. She gives a lot of resources to help and even offers tips, if you're a first year in college— I highly recommend her class.
