Attendance is a must! Professor Cavalaris covers a chapter per class and gives thorough explanation for all material discussed. Students must be prepared for class. Reviews for tests are given and tests are easy if one studies. Wonderful teacher, friendly, and cares about students progress

This professor is awesome!!! I had her a while back for ACG 2011 or something like that and recently had her for acg2071 in an online course. She is very thorough in class and very organized and considerate online. Either way, you can't go wrong...just pay attention and do your reading before each class to better understand the material.

Took ACG 2021V ( virtual college) with Prof. Cavalaris and it was a great experience. Everything was explained in the syllabus and the calendar was up to date. Study for the final.

Great Teacher....I'm taking her class online and at first it's a little hectic but after a while you get the hang of it. She's nice and her communication with e-mails is great!! HIGHLY REC.

This teacher is great. All of her classes fill up quickly. I was hoping to take her for another accounting class but I was too slow. All of u people stay away from this teacher until after I finish my accounting classes. She has too many students waiting to take her classes.

She is a wonderful professor! However, she will not baby you. You must read the chapters prior to attending class to have a clear understanding of the material. There are practice problems, which help you master and learn the material for the test. Tests are fair and reflective of material presented in books. Grades are based on EFFORT!

She is a good teacher you have to study in order to pass, she provides students with all the materials you need, as long as you do homeworks and quizes and STUDY you will be fine i took her for both ACG 2021 and ACG 2071 i got and A in both classes.

I took this class online and was very scared after reading comments on this teacher. To my suprise the class was great. The HW was difficult at times but was manageable. You had two attempts at each quiz so if you do your work you can easily pass. My final grade was an A!

Excellent Professor. I think most of the negative comments are merely because some students expect to sit back attempt no additional reading on the topic and pass this class. This is college, you want to succeed you need to study. Remember, she is preparing us for the real world, not just to pass an exam. Mostof the time, we get what we put in.

not everyone has the capacity to do well in accounting so for those who dint it's because it's just not in you. you cant blame the teacher if you just dont get it.she's a great teacher who actually knows how to speak english and adds value to the class by not making it so easy that the f-cking retards get by. i assure u she is not ****- im black

Online class and this professor is easy if you understand whats going on. Yes she do take a while to respond to your email but other from that everything is good. You get quizzes on each chapter and have 2 attempt highest grade counts, discussion postings, and assignments for each chapter with a final of 40 questions and have 3hr to complete.

I took her for lab, it was good, she just doesn't reply to emails promptly and doesn't report lab hours frequently.

extremeley easy class. i got an A with minimal effort. 3 tests and one final. trust me when i say the homework / practice problems are harder than the ones she asks in the exam. each test gives out 8-16 pts extra credit, and up to 12 pts in the final. do the homework and you should be fine, dont procastinate tho. extrememly helpful,when needed.

ONLINE CLASS. EASY CLASS. FIVE TEST & 1 FINAL. HOMEWORK IS ON CENGAGE-BRAIN, REALLY EASY. DO THE QUIZ BOWLS ON THE ONLINE LAB & PRACTICE TEST, WILL GIVE YOU ANSWERS TO THE TEST. GAVE US 3 WEEKS TO MAKE UP ALL MISSED ASSIGNMENTS.

I think she is an amazing teacher! It may be confusing when it comes to deadlines because there is a lot of work in her class, but once you understand what she is teaching then you will be fine. She goes over practice problems in class and even gives you a make up period. I recommend her to anyone that needs to take Accounting.

The online summer class was hard since you have to complete multiple assignments/quizzes each week.I read alot.Assignments and quizzes are organized with their deadlines. Online videos help but as a first timer in acg I had to work really hard.Lab is online. I really would have benefitted from a real person to ask questions.

Professor Cavalaris is a good teacher, gives you a lot of possibilities to get extra points. If you fail this class is because you really didn't put any interest in do so. Only thing about her, sometimes talk too much about irrelevant items, and when she realizes that the time is gone just rush the lecture and keeps going.

At first, I hated this professor. But as I started taking the class more seriously, I noticed it's really not all that hard. Just read a little before lectures and she explains and goes over everything. Her tests are also pretty easy and she gives so much extra credit, there shouldn't be any reason one should fail this class.

Prof. Cavalaris is an excellent professor. She is very knowledgeable and prepared,and she expects her students to be prepared as well. If you like Accounting,you are going to love her because she is really dedicated. She is always on explaining mood. She gives a lot of HW, but that is good practice for the exams. She is not easy,but you'll learn.

Great Professor! Not an easy professor, but if you really want to learn take her. There are online assignments from each chapter, some excel problems, 3 exams and a final. If you do all the assignments and study for the exams, you'll easily pass the class. Tip: Try to read the chapters ahead of time and be prepared for her class.

Took online, not easy because you have to learn on your own. Prof. is very helpful. I went to college and met in person. She offers tutoring through other students. Must follow calendar, do lab online, and assignments to pass. Quizzes can be taken twice, highest grade counts, and proctored final was fair.

She is the best Accounting teacher at North campus. If you are an accounting Major she is the person you need to take, she make sure you understand all of the material and shows you how to prepare using manual paper which is much better for you. One of the best professors I had to date. Dont expect and easy A you must do the work.

Great Professor!!!! You have to put in the work to pass obviously. Once you do your part I think an A is very easy. Homework and assignments online can be done over and over until you score a perfect score. I am an accounting major and i put in the work and got A+ on all my exams and got an easy A in the class! I loved and recommend her class. :)

Took her for ACG 2021 aced the class. Now taking her for managerial. Not an easy class. If your lazy and don't like to take your time studying and doing homework this is not the class for you. If you like a challenge, take her!! You will really know the material by the end of the semester!

This professor is Amazing , she is strict on expectations but knows the subject . Read the chapters and watch youtube videos. She will not give you the A you must work for it and do your hw. She will help you but only if you prove you have worked and done your part.

I love this professor, took her for both financial & managerial. She breaks down everything & helps you when u don't understand. she's always available when u need help. U actually learn & understand accounting once your finished with the class. U need her if your an accounting major. I'm at FIU & she's still helping me with the accounting exam

Amazing professor. Taking her for Managerial and took her for Financial. Tests can be difficult and there is a lot of homework. But she is amazing and as long as you put in the work, you will be fine.

I heard all the bad comments about her, but she seemed really helpful in my class. She was always there for anything we needed regarding assignments. She gave lessons on the importance of doing an excel properly for future job placement.

Great professor if youre a student that actually opens the book and does the work she assign to do. If youre a student that puts in an effort she is supportive and will help you whenever you need it. If youre a student who doesnt do anything, she wont waste her time on you, its simple.

She is not an easy professor but she will help you if you ask her. Her class is good for accounting majors and people who study. I would definitely take her again.

Professor Kavalaris is very caring and encouraging, she pushes us to do the work and practice, drills us weekly with an exercise she dubbed 'The Driller' which was knowing each account, their normal balance and which financial statement they belong. The classes are not easy, but if you practice and read the chapters it will become second nature.

Ms. Cavalaris makes her class simple. Just complete your quizzes, Cengage, and Excel assignments for you to get an A. As long as you're understaning what's going on in your regular accounting class, you'll be fine in this lab class. The assignments have specific deadlines so don't slack off.

Email's lot of reminders about assignment due dates including a more personalized one at near the end of the semester letting you know what you have left. The class was mostly a review class so it was super easy.

Took her for both lecture and lab, the lab was by far the easiest you just needed to pay attention in the lecture class. Attendance in lecture class and you didn't need to show up for the lab class time, no attendance. Homework was on CNOW (cengage). Final Proctored Exam based the lecture class.
