Very nice and helpful professor! her test are very basic, if you do your HW ur'll past.

Very good teacher- thoroughly explains problems and helps you understand why. i wish there were more teachers like her
if you are not good in Algebra do not take this professor. I took both 1305 and 1310 and still struggled through this course. I passed but with a D. if you are looking for a easy algebra class, this is not the one to take!
I was one of two people that made A's on all of her test. She gave me a B because I didn't turn all homework in! That sucks!! She makes you do it online and turn it in by Midnight Sunday even if you don't have class until Tuesday. Some people work and have families..HARSH
Chalhoub was very visual and explained the material very clearly. She is one the best math teachers i've ever had. If you do your homework, go to class, and SPEAK UP if you have questions, you'll get an easy A. Math classes always take alot of your time if you try for an A, so expect a few hours a week outside of class to go over the material.
She is Awesome. I love her accent and her personality. I loved going to her class, tho it may had something to do with how i like math but she most def. makes math entertaining. Just know how to solve a quadratic! :)
She is very cooperative teacher. I really enjoyed her class. She is really good at remembering names and picking students at the classroom to ask questions. She explains you in detail what will be on the test she will go through everthing before the exams. Have fun! but keep up with the Math lab, extra credit and homework to do good in this class.I
Great professor. I strongly recommend taking her business calculus I class!
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS IN MAYMESTER!!! She is a great teacher, but i would not reccomend her class for maymester. She explains things clearly and is very helpful if you have any questions. Her test are alot easier than the examples she gives you during your note taking.
Class was hard because I had feno clue, but Prssor was great. I was averaging a D but pulled off the C thanks to all her help. Great Teacher!!! Would take her again, but thankfully am done with math requirements.
Tried taking this in Maymester and found the proff to be unavailable and incredibly unhelpful. To be honest was down right rude if we let her know we were having trouble and needed help. Would NOT recommend
She is a really great teacher, and she explains things in a way that makes since. i'd take her for another math class!!
She is a really great teacher, and she explains things in a way that makes since. i'd take her for another math class!!
Excellent professor. The best instructor I had since High School, I made a B but it was my own fault. She was very clear in explaining and wanted always to keep the class on the same pace. Only 2 people dropped. I wish she would teach Cal III. Highly recomended. What I learned in her class was more important to me than my grade.
Martha Chalhoub is wonderful!!!I was nervous at first but she knew everyone's name by the second class and made algebra clear and easy! I would recommend her to anyone!!!
Amazing teacher, great with remembering names, pretty handwriting on the board :)
She is so cool :)
Scared me with the name tags on the first day of class but turned out to be pretty good
Professor Chalhoub is very helpful and is very knowledgable with the material. She will go the extra mile to help you understand the material being taught. I am very glad I took the Maymester class because she was able to teach everything very clearly in the 2 short weeks compared to other professors who need the entire semester.
SHE'S A GREAT AND FUN TEACHER. TESTS ARE ONLY 6-10 QUESTIONS LONG SO THE QUALITY OF THE TESTS ARENT THAT GREAT BUT I THINK YOU'RE GOING TO REALLY ENJOY HER CLASS!
She knows her stuff...but DONT READ her review bc its not helpful on the test...just study on your own. if u Speak SPANISH..she will be your best friend and not grade hard on u for missing little things on the test...but be cautious with her..its NOT A EASY CLASS!!!
I was totally freaked out on the first day with the whole name card thing. Then after a couple of days i really started to hate the class! She calls on you in class (which i hate!) and i just felt totally stressed out in her class! her tests are like 10 questions and im already bad at math so that didnt help!
Prof Chalhoub understands math well and explains it even better. She wants all her students to succeed in math and in their college career. The comment about her favoring hispanics is totally FALSE.She follows the syllabus and always has a review before any test.I loved math in her class because it made sense. She is the best in CCCCD.
Best teacher to take if you hate math. She is always their for you if need her. Must study but she reviews the day before so its not hard. I had an "A" all the way through and got lazy and didnt do my homework so ended up with a "B".
this professor genuinely cares about her students and provides sufficient help to guide students toward success.
I took Algebra because it's a requirement. Not being a mathmatical whiz by any stretch, I was nervous going in after a ten year layoff from school. Prof Chalhoub cares about her students. She encourages questions in and out of class. She cares about her students understanding material. Fast email response, friendly, all around highly recommend.
Hello my name is anonymous. Ill post my progress here.Professor Chalhoub has so far listened to the class and she cut down some homework cuz some people said there was too much. So far if you do your homework(easy 100), and study for tests, you should do good in this class. Im making a B+ so lets see how it goes. Its my fault I didnt study for 1st
Professor Chalhoub is an extraordinary math teacher. I am horrible at math, and I am making an A in this class! Not because it is easy, but because Mrs. Chalhoub had done a wonderful job teaching, helping, and encouraging me. She is a blessing in helping me succeed in this subject which is so difficult for me.
Hello, =From Anonymous. So far the class has been going well since my last review here. I am still at a B and I think it can remain that way for the rest of the semester.
Excellent Professor, if you dont end up with an A it's because you didnt try. I think i only opened my book twice and thats bc she gives really good notes, and goes through examples very thoroughly. Overall one of the best professors ive ever had.
You have to enroll in special Ed if you do not pass her class. 4 tests and 1 final. First test was super easy. second was alrite. 3rd was HARD. Half the class failed so she gave us points for corrections. The final consisted of questions from the 4 tests. On top of that Tons of bonus points. I dont think you can fail this class even if you try!
Even though I enjoy math, I must say this professor is a must-take! You will pass with a descent grade(an A easily if you put your best effort), and walk off with a greater understanding and appreciation for math. Be generous with visiting her office hours, because she is willing to help ! Write notes, read your book, and LISTEN! :)
Professor Chalhoub was my favorite professor by far- she's great at explaining course material and takes time to help students that are stuck. The homework that she assigns is online and super easy- you can repeat problems until you get them wrong, so you always get a 100. If you're taking calculus, you should take her class. :)
What a great professor. She really cares about her students and is willing to put in the effort if you are. I found her classes interesting and even though I hate math, she was able to make me appreciate it! Highly recommend you take this professor!
Chalhoub is the bomb! even though i love math, she makes math that is usually hard for other people just as easy for me. Explains things really clear, we didn't have to buy a textbook. You get 4 tests then a final and homework is just 15-20 problems a week. piece of cake. definitely recommend!!!
Calculus is a very hard class, but she makes it sooo easy to understand!!! She was the best math teacher i have ever had! i wish i would have taken her for the classes prior to calculus and wish i could take her again!! Makes sure you take notes and don't procrastinate on the MyMathLab and you'll pass!
Chalhoub is the best math teacher i have had lately. She makes math fun for everyone, she clearly explains, and she works with things that happen. I broke my writing hand a month before class was over and she worked very well with that.Even though math comes easy for me, she is BEST MATH TEACHER AT COLLIN,TAKE HER YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU DID SO.
I guess I'm super biased considering she's my mom butttt she's the best professor ever and I wish she had been my teacher at UT! She's patient and she understands how to explain things and she's an excellent tutor. She genuinely cares about her students, but always show up on the first day! She remembers if you don't and she won't take you seriousl
I think shes a great teacher but I must warn you that she will randomly call on you in class so you better listen! It made me feel uncomfortable and I dreaded going to class because of it.Exams are 10-12 questions so its either you know it or you don't. Its not an easy class. Show up and listen! She goes real fast. So read before you come.
Awful Experience. Got a C only because I went up to the school for extra tutoring constantly throughout the semester. She expects everyone to know the material already and does not give homework assignments. Do not recommend unless you want a C for th class, if you're lucky.
Great professor. If you do not succeed in this course, it is because you did not try. Between office hours, classroom time, and the math center, there are plenty of opportunities for help. She does a great job off explaining the material if you pay attention. Take good notes and do practice problems from the online homework. I got an A doing this.
do not take her.....she is not that good....I study so hard the whole semester and I end up with a C....I had to repeat the class and I made an A with another instructor..so don't take her...
She is great!!! Statistics alone is hard, but she is so helpful! Definitely recommend her! Funny, personable and willing to help.
I had SUCH a blast in her class!! Do NOT get me wrong, it was plenty of stress especially with it being a 5 week course; nonetheless, Chalhoub responded to questions and emails IMMEDIATELY and did everything in her power to ensure that I and the class understood what it was the homework asked us to do as well what the exams required. She's AMAZING
She was great. Very helpful and just a lot of fun. She also wanted to make sure you understand something if you do not. I would take her again in a heart beat.
This class is very fast paced! I took MWF. I'm not straight out of high school so it's hard for me to follow about half of the time, but the instructor is very helpful. I guess i just prefer the longer class periods.
This class was really difficult. I usually make A's in math, and I failed this class. She goes really fast and doesn't give enough homework. If you don't understand the first time, you will be left in the dust. Her office hours are minimal, so if you have other classes, you may not get to talk to her. I recommend someone else.
Calc is a very hard class. she makes you go to every class. youll need it, shes very enthusiastic about the subject. makes it somewhat enjoyable, 4 tests and mathlab homework for every section. 4 labs that are combined for test grade. good class
Nice&enthusiastic prof. She begins class on the dot, try not to be late b/c you miss alot in 10 mins. Super fast pace; learn a new thing every class w/ minimal review. Online hw mandatory=one exam grade. Each exam is 10 quest long. Believes you either know it or you don't. Really pay attention. Passable class but you have a lot of resp as a student
I hadnt taken math in over 20 yrs but prof Chaloub made calc enjoyable. Do homework problems in book for each chapter! This will help on tests. Prof is very helpful and pleasant. Not an easy class but is very possible to make an A.
She is ok,not the best. I have had better prof. before her. I would not take her for calc. class, you have to study hard for an A. if you want to get a good grade take jammie von holstein. Good luck
Great professor! Take her
Best Math teacher ive ever had! Tests were sort of challenging but homework and labs were a breeze. would take her for every math subject if i could
she is a really good teacher but you have to study really hard and do a lot of practice problems
BEST TEACHER EVER!!!!! i wish she was teaching business calculus 2. Go to class, do the online homework and study plans. You can do well in the class! Tests are very easy! Do problems in book and on study plans and you can't do bad!!! My lowest grade on a test was a 96....!! TAKE HER! you wont regret it!!!
If you're no good with math, don't take this class online. I taught myself how to do the homework, which was on MyMathLab, and I had very little direct communication with the teacher - she didn't really teach at all, and there were no recorded lectures or anything of the sort.
Very Very helpful teacher. She knows what she's talking about and she makes sure you understand it. Got to do homework and lab.
TAKE HER!!! Awesome teacher!!!! As with any calculus class you have to put in the work to make the grade you want. She will answer any questions you have without frustration. Take advantage of all extra credit and go to the math lab for extra help. She doesnt count off if you miss class but you will miss alot. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED INSTRUCTOR!!!!
Professor Chalhoub is a wonderful and gleeful lecturer. She is genuinely interested in the subject and your grade in the class. She gives up to 20 points of extra credit (the class is based on a point system of 800 points). Having said that, you have GOT to study and practice for the exams. The class isn't so easy, so be prepared.
Very good teacher. Calc is hard, but if you do exactly what she says you will do well. There is a good balance of homework, classwork, group work, and board work.
4 assignments per week 35-45 questions. Every 4 weeks, 45 question review on top of those 4 assignments all due Sunday. Then the Exam is due by the following Thursday while still having 4 new homework assignments due Sunday. Thanksgiving we had MORE work than the previous 3 weeks. BAD ATTITUDE WHEN YOU ASK FOR HELP! I like math but this was BAD!
Mrs. Chalhoub is to the point and direct, she will ask u to go up to the board so PAY ATTENTION to her lectures. She does explain very clear, and does not skip any rules/previous knowledge u should know, which is how math should be taught bc there's so much to memorize! Tests are extremely hard, lots of hw & labs WHICH helps ur grade if u do them.
Professor Chalhoub is good at teaching, and she does care about your grade if you do too. She does not give any slack, she grades really hard, and she's not lenient in her grading. She will offer to help, theres no make up work, & tests are never the same as hw . I think she cares about there students but needs to be more flexible on her grading.
Professor Chalhoub is one of the best math professors I have had! She responds to emails very quickly and answers any questions you might have.
Loved her! She expects you to put the effort in to memorize everything. If you don't, you'll have a hard time doing well. If you do, she makes it very easy to grasp calculus and get you ready for Calc. 2! 10/10 would take again
I took Calculus I with Professor Chalhoub, and I really enjoyed her class. Because she was very encouraging and made me feel comfortable with learning this challenging subject, I decided to take Calculus II with her as well. Overall, her class requires a lot of hard work and persistence, but with her help, it will be easier to do well in her class.
Great professor. Our Calc 2 class was very small, so she ran it kind of like a high school class, in that she would make you work problems on the board etc. she HATES when ppl don't come to class. gives at least 20 bonus points. tests are easy. tests are 10 questions. you either know or you dont. her class is 3 hrs long, so it can get difficult
Best cal prof at preston ridge, easy to talk to and helps out when needed. Test not hard and labs as well. taking her for cal II in the spring.
Best professor I've had. Every weekend I was emailing her for help and she was there. I'm older and very rusty on my algebra. It has been an uphill battle to relearn it and the learn the TI Calculator. I had to drop one of my jobs in even hopes of passing and was so far behind, but the professor encouraged me not to give up. I didn't and I passed.
Prof Chalhoub is an excellent instructor. Her exams are tough so you'll need to be thoroughly prepared & understand the material well. That being said, she offers a lot of opportunity for extra credit. Take advantage of every single EC. Go to office hours & math lab if you want to do well. More importantly, participate in class & DON'T SKIP CLASS!
Professor Chalhoub is one of the best Math professors you could possibly find. She is passionate about the subject and knows the material well. Her lectures are well planned out so they run smoothly. Whenever you start a new topic she will review all of the concepts you need to know beforehand. She offers tons of extra credit. Take her if you can!
I remember taking Chalhoub last year and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in math. I was extremely clueless and that class was 3 hours. She never gave us a break. I did awful on the first test and dropped out before the 2nd test. I suggest you take someone else.
Prof. Chalhoub is the worst math professor. She gives extra credits but it makes it impossible to earn any points. Tests are nothing like the reviews or homework. If you don't have any other classes or a social life, I recommend you to take her as she will keep you busy. She gives 4 homework assignments per week, plus lab and group projects. BYE!!
This class is difficult if you are taking four classes in the semester. There is a good amount of homework every week and the teacher is unreasonable. The reviews barely cover anything for the test. I would not recommend her, if you have more classes and a job.
She is very enthusiastic about math but not a great professor. Her exams are nothing like the reviews, HW, or labs. My biggest issue is that she will say a quiz is for extra credit then later on change her mind and not give any points. This is calculus and it be difficult but I believe her teaching style makes it harder than it has to be.
She is a tough grader on tests. There is no proper review for the tests, so you will be surprised by a few questions. Attendance not mandatory but I wouldnt miss bcox its 3hrs each class. Extra credit is offered through quizzes. Her lectures did not prepare me for the tests. Just Drop after first fail test bcox it won't get any better, i promise.
Unclear grading criteria. Side projects unrelated to math that are not in the syllabus. Inability to convey the subject material in an understandable manner. Either she doesn't understand the material or is just a bad teacher, she should stick to teaching environmental protection as she spends so much time in a MATH class talking about it.
You get to use a calculator on every test, which makes them fairly simple. There is an optional (entirety being less than 5 hours) out of class assignment that will replace lowest test above a 70. If you have a decent understanding of math, this class will be very straightforward.
Chalhoub is the best calc professor at Collin imo. Her lectures are really thorough and you have to do the work but it is definitely worth it! Take her if you really want to understand calculus.
We have that class for almost three hours and no break, not to mention that in all that time we only cover a couple examples and she expects us to "roll with the punches" on our homework. She waters down content in class and makes it seem like what's on our test wasn't even covered most of the time & demands too much for that class tbh
She knowledgeable in the subject, but she can't explain or understand the difficulty it is for the students. The class is 3 hours long, and she really overloads our brain and expects us to understand it on the spot. She thinks Calc is the only class we have and constantly overloads our weekends and free time with homework. She is a nice and outgoin
I really did not know what I was going into but, had a great time she is an acquired taste. Lots of homework and extra credit like 30 to 50 pnts I think. She wants you to learn and gives you hard problems stick with her and you will know cal 2 better than most. I have to say she made me grow as a student!
Prof. Chalhoub is wonderful. Cal 2 is not an easy class and will make you question your major, but that is the course material not the prof. She gives a ton of extra credit and the exams are pretty straightforward 10 questions, 10 points each, with a very fair grading system. If you can make it through the first section, the rest is very doable.
Professor Chalhoub is a fantastic professor. She is by far the best professor I've had so far. She's super funny in class and makes the material seem exciting. Math for me had always been something I had to do, but after her class I found myself really excited to learn. Tough grader, but gives points for work, and does extra credit.
Calculus is hard and therefore, is a high work load class so attendance is HIGHLY recommended. What alleviates the high stress of this class, is that Professor Chalhoub really cares about her students and is very reliable about responding to emails and being at her office hours. If you simply talk to her, she is more than willing to work with you.
The pro's are she offers extra credit, makes herself available, & is friendly. Con's: teaches more like an elementary school teacher. Tests can be frustrating since they're only 10 questions. I had a 4.0 before Calc 2 & didn't appreciate the comment that her class would be the one to bring down my GPA even when I had an A in her class at the time
I was never a math person before Calculus 1 buy Professor Chalhoub made me love math and I even left a math genius. She is the best professor I have had so far. She makes sure you understand the material and makes you look forward to the next lecture. If you want to enjoy math and pass as well she is the right person. Attend class and you will pass
Quite simply, she is a phenomenal instructor. Math is not my strongest subject and I was really worried going into Calculus I. Prof. Chalhoub made every effort to make certain her class understood every part of the lecture and provided ample examples of course material to make certain students were able to master each concept. Top notch professor.
Best possible prof for this class! I attempted this course and withdrew twice before taking it from her and received a high A in her class. She assigns a lot of homework and you do have to put in the work to do well. Pre-read the chapter and do notecards like she says. Overall, she really cares and wants her students to do well. Only eBook needed.
single & only reason I got an A: extra credit SO much extra credit. Chalhoub is the NICEST, most caring prof youll ever meet! Love her as a person but as a teacher meh. Some lectures were AMAZING but some were rushed and she never really taught it. amazing at math, but got my first grade below an 80 0n a math test partly blame is calc2, partly her
She's nice but does not actually teach the material. Homework and tests are way harder than anything done in class. She also acts like her class is the only one you're taking and gives way too much homework. Like hours worth of HARD homework. If you have a job or responsibilities or are taking other classes don't take her, you won't have the time.
I can't stress enough how much harder the homework and tests are than the things taught in class. The homework will take HOURS and the tests are SO HARD. It feels like you're doing completely different math in class than on homework and tests. She will teach the easiest part of the lesson, then you get completely different harder questions on tests
Ms. Chalhoub has been one of the most brilliant professors I've ever had the privilege of taking. She is truly a gifted teacher and has tons of patience for even the slowest of students like me. She speaks clearly in class! She is the one to take if you need someone to fully break things down. If you need to go slow, take her! No regrets!
Terrible instructor. Was not willing to help. Very rude. Very unprofessional professor that didn't seem to understand that people had lives out side class. Her online materials were not clear and did not offer any real help, even when office hours were available. I would stay away from this professor if you require Algebra, or any math.
Prof. Chalhoub has made me love math! She is caring and very respectful, will answer all your questions. Her lectures are amazing and teach us how to think about the basics. I had a very weak background but she helped with all the review materials. Always available! Has made me rethink my major and choose one with more math.
Best professor I have ever had in my life! Mrs. Chalhoub taught my brother also for Calc 1 and he was not too happy with all the homework but after he took Calc 2 and 3 he realized what a great professor she had been and how well she had prepared him for the rest of the math. I did not start too strong, but ended up with an A with her help.
Mrs. Chalhoub met with me via Zoom every week to go over topics I did not understand. I was very weak in algebra coming in and she helped me a lot. I would not have passed this class had she not taken the time to care. She also replied to every email in a timely manner. I have never worked so hard and enjoyed it.
I love Prof Chalhoub! She is dedicated to seeing her students succeed and will be there for anything you need. It is a difficult subject, but she is able to break it down and make it easier. I wanted to drop the first week, but she encouraged me to stick it out and I passed (barely) with a lot of work. Work hard, Prof C will be favorite Prof!
Sets the record for the hardest class I have ever taken in college. I can tell the professor cares but she is extremely heavy on the amount of work given. I am normally very good at this subject. Avoid her if you can.
This is the best organized online class I have ever taken! The professor was available and sent us announcements all the time to encourage us. It is a lot of work but I am actually learning math for the first time. She upload videos with clear explanations that really help me understand.
If you want an ez A--do not take! There is a lot of work to do every week there is homework. I thought I would not pass but I did. And I learned a lot along the way. The professor is caring, inspirational, and very available. I learned more here than in all my years in high school.
insane insane insane amount of work this teacher gives. should probably take her class in a semester with no other classes as she assumes thats all you should be spending your time on. terrible teacher.
midterm & final worth 60% of grade. 4 HW a week X 25-30 ?s . She CARES but syllabus says expect to spend 20 HOURS a week on this class. Its 4 credits. So if ur in STEM & ur 4 credit science expected the same (they dont), you'd be spending 40 hrs on 2 classes. W/ time commitments like tht STEM is impossible for ppl w jobs.
Prof. C will answer all your math questions. She has office hours on zoom and can also meet outside of office hours. The curriculum is long for any calculus class but she emphasizes key points in her videos and helps us use the calculator which you can use on all exams. Very intelligent and very organized. Also very caring.
Class is basically self taught. Lecture videos are straight from pearson + 1-2 of her own. Videos are little to no help when it comes to the hw. She states that all the videos are just so you know the basic concepts and be able to figure it out... only plus side to this is that she is very reachable. Take if youre extremely passionate for math.
does not offer any extra credit, claims its interwoven into the curriculum (sounds like empty talk). The homework, in textbook, is harder than what is on the test. "labs" which are practice exams to prep. no retake no EC. Lectures / Video offered online long and not to the point. When asked questions, does not give full answer just next step (why.)
horrible teacher. ur teaching urself, no extra credit, no grade drops, and doesn't respond to emails. find another teacher.
I took Professor Chalhoub online. She assigns a ton of HW. The tests are easier than the HW, but still so much more advanced than what she teaches. I ended up teaching myself through Khan Academy. Would recommend if you have the time, patience and motivation to put in excessive work towards an already hard subject, otherwise find another professor.
I made an A in this course to spite this professor's nasty attitude and impossible expectations. Professor Chalhoub constantly makes snarky comments. There is no extra credit or grade drops. The only thing she is good for is giving partial credit for missed problems on exams. Be prepared for a very frustrating and burdensome time in this class.
2nd time taking course and it finally clicked! Prof gives a lot of work but I realized this is how you practice the difficult topics taught in this important course. You need to stay on top of things day in and day out. Professor is very responsive and caring, gives lots of feedback. Can't say I love math but I now understand it. Take to learn!
Almost everything is done through Pearson. The only non-Pearson things are her supplements to the lectures, which are good. No extra credit, no drops, not a lenient grader.
I had chalhoub almost 15 years ago and still think about her. She changed my life and made me feel smart which is something i never felt. Countless hours at the math lab and meeting chalhoub in her office at 8 am to ask questions on the work and she always welcomed me with a smile. She is a saint in my eyes. Ill never forget her impact on my life
This teacher is way too hard
This class was a nightmare. 4 tests make 75% of your overall grade, so if you do poorly on one, you're screwed. I've always been a straight A student, and I had to fight to get a B. So much homework. Course moves very quickly so it's hard to keep up. She's encouraging and nice but always pushing for you to work ahead. No extra credit.
Chalhoub cares about her students' success and is very accessible. But what turned me off in this class is the burdensome volume of work. She says that you should spend 20-24 hours a week on the class but be ready to spend 40-50 hours/wk. If you need all that extra practice it may be good for you, but I was burned out by the work by spring break.
This was one of my favorite teacher but calc 2 too much work. If you contact her for help shell always be willing to help. Took her online, 4 exams, 2 homework chapters a week with 4 labs.
Selected average for difficulty because I studied everyday and watched all videos in course which made the material very accessible. Professor responds very fast and is willing to meet you on Zoom to answer more difficult questions. Very caring and knowledgeable. Will take again for cal 2--has review materials to prepare for cal course
poor course
Bad professor online + lazy. Do not take her if you actually want to learn math. Very poor at explaining, had more success with the tutors at Collin. Impatient and condescending. Just got annoying midway through the semester so I would ask anyone but her about math. Had more success getting help from others than her. If you like math, go elsewhere.
The class is challenging, but the professor is knowledgeable and accessible. Accessing unstuck study along with the provided videos and textbook can make a big difference. Expect to put in significant effort, but the support is there if you engage.
This class has 70 home work assignments worth 15 percent of your grade actually insane. She's nice and willing to help but you can't tell me this isn't abuse. After tests we would have to learn 5 lessons in 2 days some how. It is genuine torture. She is the definition of doing too much.
"plan to spend at least 24 hours a week in the course" quote Martha. Its like we aren't taking multiple classes or have lives
Very Bad proffesor and picky! Never take her
I did the Second test and she noticed my paper wasn't neat so she gave me a zero. She says if the work doesn't meet guidelines then it's just a half off on the test. But in my case it's a zero.
I don't know how she has so many good ratings. When most of her class drops it in the first week. We started off with 24 students and only 10 of us remain and were only half there.
NEVER TAKE this proffesor, she will fail you such a bad proffesor
Bad wouldn't take
If you have nothing else to do, then take her. Be aware going to funeral of a loved one is not a excuse you should bring your laptop with you
I studied so hard and am usually a straight A student, but I got a B. Every exam is a random combination of questions from assignments, and it is impossible to know every iteration of every problem. Every exam is cumulative with minimal partial credit. VERY difficult to do well and so much HW. The good ratings are written by her. DO NOT TAKE HER.
worst professor ever
The worst professor you could possibly take. Do not waist your time or money taking her course. She's incredibly unreasonable and the work load is absolutley impossible to keep up with. She also does not care if you pass or fail and will not try and help you.
She says she expects you to commit 24 hours per week on the course for a 16 week course.
My advice don't take
Never take this professor, especially if you've taken math online before and think it will be manageable. The amount of random assignments she will make you do is insane, studying specific learning concepts as outlined in Texas state law instead of, I don't know, doing calculus? So many random pointless assignments, would not recommend at all, 0/10
DO NOT TAKE, She gives entirely too much work, and expects us to do random assignments like write two pages on step by step solving a quadratic equation so the students know what she expects of us or whatever, genuinely do not take!!!!.
Exams make up 75% of the grade. If you mess up on 1 exam, you're done and she does not care. Don't take her. Idk why she has a good rating. She insists on u working ahead when its a struggle to even keep up especially if you're taking other classes. 1 hw assignment takes 2.5 hrs to complete and theres 3-4 per week. Also got discussions for math???
Single handedly ruined my gpa. UNFAIR class and exams. She writes fake reviews, so do not fall for the good ones. DO NOT TAKEEEE
