Great Calc teacher

You need Statistical Methods I? She's the instructor for you. You won't be disappointed!

This instructor is entertaining, easy to understand, and clear. She makes statistics fun and easy. Great instructor!

She is an excellent teacher, she makes you learn the stuff. She explains things clearly and slowly to make sure everything sinks in. But dont take her for stat because I want to be guaranteed a seat in her class, cause I still gotta take it.

Veyr professional teacher. Easy to talk to and discuss classwork. Very helpful even out of the classroom. Great teaching style which caters to everyone. Tests coincide with material covered in class. Recommended.

Definetley one of the best teachers at SCC...If you have to take calc or statistics take it with her! If you want an "A" you need to do the homework, which isn't that bad, and she is always availible to help out.

Wonderful instructor! She's helpful and grades very fair. Distance Learning syllabus may seem overwhelming but if you adhere to calendar and study the course is a breeze.

Mrs. Goshaw is an excellent math teacher, she is absolutely the very best. She is also a wonderful person. She actually shows where the concepts are applied in society,which are learned through hands on projects. Justifies learning math. Very practical!

Took online statistics with her. She is, by far, the most organized and well received online teacher I have had at SCC. She knows her stuff. Loves babys and birthdays and cares about YOUR success in her class. If you take online stat, be sure to study her notes because they are similar to tests.

Great Prof. Easy to understand and gets through the material very thouroghly. Uses her website to great use throughout the course. I would take her again.

Material was HARD! But she helps throughout the entire class. Wants students to pass and presents material in a organized and well to do fashion. Take her if you get the chance.

I think she is a really good teacher. She knows how to communicate with her students, despite the fact that we only see her three times out of the semester. I would recommend her to anyone. I think the book used for this course is very helpful and Prof. Goshaw knows how to efficiently utilize the book to make us understand the course material.

I recommend Mrs. Goshaw for in class as well as online class. I had her online and she is not only helpful but she puts the most guides and helping tools on her site that any teacher I have ever had in five years does. She really wants you to succeed and you can tell that she is for real.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this teacher. She is the sort that you remember long after you graduate. Even if math isn't your subject, she will get you through it no matter how much extra help you may need.

Not as easy as I thought is was going to be but Professor Goshaw was always willing to help and did provide opportunities for extra credit. Online format for statistics I dont know is the best method... she though is great!

Online course was hard. The study sessions were very helpful, I could have done better if I was in a classroom.

Absolutely amazing teacher. Great at what she does and deosn't try to trick or confuse you the way other math teachers do. Upbeat and so helpful. Would highly reccommend to any student, math savvy or not.

She is a great teacher, a very nice lady and overall a wonderful professor. I really enjoyed her class and it wasn't difficult at all, just do and submit all the mini projects on time and go over the test reviews before the tests. Major project was also very easy.

Online class takes lots of discipline, if you get lost its hard to get help, but Ms. Goshaw is always ready to answer emails and calls. Class was tough for me but she will help you understand

I took this class online. I was kind of nervous, but Mrs. Goshaw makes you feel right at home. She is very helpful, understanding, and willing to accomodate almost any situation, as long as you let her know what is going on ahead of time. She is very encouraging, and really wants you to succeed.I would recommend taking her for anything she teaches.

I took Calculus online, it requires a lot of discipline and it was very easy to get behind. But it was not bad and Mrs Goshaw was great. Go to her review sessions before attempting the tests - it helps. I am taking her again for Statistics.

She is probably the best math teacher that SCC has. I have another teacher for math that is good but Goshaw is Great. Very understandable and helpful. There are a lot of assignments but as long as you keep up, you will do fine. ask questions and learn from response. sometimes she is pulled thin but she really cares about her students success

Great teacher. Very understanding, knows life happens while your making other plans. Barely did any HW and did great on the all of the quizes. Gives great examples for all Stat problems. Grades everything and always answers emails in a timely manner. I am so glad i took her. I will def be taking her for Concepts of Calc!!!

This was a good professor. Being my first online class, and that I am not very computer savvy, I was a little nervous at first. She was very patient and gracious in her help and motivation. Anyone who needs to take this class should take it with Mrs. Goshaw.

Great Teacher. I took prof online. The exam reviews on campus are very helpful. The powerpoints will help as well. I would recommend the class. Teacher is very willing to help. Great Teacher. I definitely recommend her. 2 exams. 1 major project. quizzes for each chapter. Discussion questions every week. Overall great teacher and course.

Ms. Goshaw is the BEST! I took this course online and was surprised at how much I learned and how well I did in the class. Read the chapters, do the practice problems and the assigned problems and then read Ms. Goshaw's classroom Powerpoints and the problems should be crystal clear. If not, Ms. Goshaw is available and willing to help.

Online statistics- I was expecting disaster in this class, but her notes are wonderful. I got an A in this class by following her notes and doing practice problems from the book. Good class.

She is an awesome professor. I took her for Statistics and just completed Calculus. She is always willing to help and easy to understand. She made the class very enjoyable for me. I had a B average on the tests and quizzes, but had an A on homework and class activities and came out with an A. Do all homework and this class will be a breeze!

Prof Goshaw is the best! She goes the extra mile, offers review sessions and study guides for the tests/chapters. Just don't fall behind and you should do fine in this class.

This is a nice professor and does help you, but don't do the extra credit because it doesn't help you. She also missed at least 5 days of class which is cruical since we met one day a week and there was no one there to replace her. To save you grade go with another professor.

Very nice! I am terrible at math and was very nervous about taking calculus online, but her hw assignments are easy (usually only 5 q's). Her test reviews are very helpful and she returns assignments promptly with notes on what you missed. Glad I am taking her. I should finish with an A or B. Only thing I would change is more time for quizzes.

Online Stats class. All quizzes and homework submitted online. Only two test you must take in class room. She gives great notes and teaches you how to do everything in excel or on your calculator. Never had to learn a formula. She isn't very easy to get hold of or communicate with through email, but her notes are great. Easy A if you try.

Took Ms. Goshaw online.She is a little slow responding to emails/posts but does keep office hours if needed. Don't need the book, just a copy of the formula sheet. Her notes and pp are more than enough to pass. Got an A--even if you're not a math wiz I would take stats online w/ Ms. G. As long as you do the hw & practice probs you will do great!

This was my first math class taken online: not a good idea. I'm the type who isn't interested in math but do well for some reasons. I think this class is better taken on campus w/ direct interaction w/ professor. She is very helpful and looks out for your success as long as you put effort forth. The class itself was fine, the material a bit tough.

Took online, really not hard, just read her notes she puts up and check the student board, classmates really help, midterm and final on campus, she quickly grades and responds to emails, sweet as can be, really cares, would take her again.

I'm taking her online, and she's amazing. Has lecture notes that outlines everything, homework is easy and can submit multiple times. If your not good at math you just have to study. Martha is willing to help whenever you need her around her hours. People are just being ridiculous, she answers emails, and is willing to work with any student!!

Prof Goshaw is an amazing professor. I took this class online and she provided us with great notes to make the material easier to understand. Homework assignments also really helped. She lets you use formula inserts and calculator on exams. I thought the class was fairly easy as long as I did the work.

This class rocked! Just pay attention and do ALL the work. Redo what u messed up and own it :-) Keep trying and don't miss anything or you will regret it. This class is hard but it is doable. MG will help u as much and as long as u are willing to do the wk. She is awesome. I took her Honors class and it was great :-)

Took the course online, not very easy to do. GREAT professor, really wants everyone to succeed, but this is a difficult class to take online. Exams are on campus and are not too difficult. I love the multiple attempts on HW and the professor is VERY quick to grade and answer all Emails and forum questions. I'm struggling, but love the teacher.

Great teacher. She is very sweet. Was very challenged by this class. I would recommend this class if you are able to self teach and not rely too much of waiting for email response. Tutoring is also a great option. Stay ahead of work and you will do great! Start project early;)

Hybrid Class- She is an outstanding professor who wants her student to do well. However, the material is hard so YOU MUST put 100%. PRACTICE before doing the online HW and Quizes then you'll find them easy. Her labs are long and Tests(in classroom)are not too difficult if you studied. The Final is worth 20% and it is hard.

This professor really wants her students to learn the material. She is very helpful and will go over anything if you need her to. My class was a hybrid the relied heavily on work over the internet but we met for about an hour each week for clarification.

Would absolutely recommend this Mrs. Goshaw! I had her for Calculus & it is evident that its very impt to her that her students do well. She went out of her way to help me improve my grade several times through out the semester. She is great about responding in a timely fashion. Communication is key! Best Proffessor I've ever had!

She really wants you to succeed.I took her online class and she is slow to respond.But when we went to the campus for optional reviews she is an amazing classroom teacher.I would take her classes again but not online. Take her class! She is one of the most helpful teachers I have ever had. She let me bring in HW late a few times when I ran into some personal issues. She really cares about her students doing well. Simply do the homework and quizzes, you should have no problem passing with an A or B. Her tests are really not that hard compared to online HW we did.

Took her online Stat class. I don't like math at all but Prof. Goshaw is a GREAT teacher. She provides a ton of resources (hint: StatCrunch is your friend!) She gives good feedback even if it sometimes takes a while. If you take it online you have to study hard, but you can do it. I was afraid I would fail this class but I got an A!

I took this Calculus class online and was shocked at all of the discussion postings required. I can understand having a forum there for help but required? I didn't have much trouble with this subject as an online course but it is definitely for someone who can learn on their own from the book. Not much involvement from the instructor.

Took the Hybrid Statistics class. Moderate level of work outside class. I struggled with the homework but made up for it on the tests. You can do everything using stat crunch on the computer so if you know that program you're pretty much set. If i was able to finish all the assignments I would have gotten an A.

There is a lot of work and time that is required for an online course, more so if it's a math course. Expect to spend a lot time completing work. Professor on the other hand is extremely helpful and makes adjustments for you if needed, I don't blame the professor for this hard class. She's great!!

Professor Goshaw is great. She honestly wants to see you succeed. She does what it takes to ensure you receive bonus points and that you actually understand the material. If you need to pass the class . . . Your best choice is to go with her. She's the best.

I only met Professor for one of her review sessions and the final exam. She is very nice and accommodating to your needs. However, this class requires a lot of your time. It was a teach it yourself kind of course which I struggled because of it. I would have preferred to have taken it on campus because of how sweet she was and how clear she was.

I took the hybrid class and struggled at first. There were assignments due every two days. LEARN STATCRUNCH! It is very similar to Excel. The formulas are insane in the later chapters. Professor is very clear and is willing to help. Take advantage of the extra credit.

This professor's hybrid class is great! The textbook is confusing but she does a great job explaining difficult concepts. She is extremely helpful, gives lots of extra credit and truly wants her students to succeed. There are a lot of assignments and quizzes, but if you put in the work and really pay attention, this is not a hard class.

Professor Goshaw is AMAZING!! I cannot begin to describe in only 350 characters what an awesome professor she is. EXTREMELY helpful, she will always take the time to help any student who will help themselves. I have always been a very poor math student and I got an A in Statistics w/ her. Put in the time and effort, you can easily pass this class.

Very organized and I never once questioned what needed to be done or when it was due. Unfortunately she is retiring but she was by far one of the most amazing professors I've ever had!

Dr. Goshaw is amazing. You dont have to be good at math to do well in her classes. She is very patient and always makes sure everyone is on the same page. Always give reviews before exams and lets you bring a cheat sheet of formulas into tests. She does give a lot of homework but honestly it ends up boosting your grade at the end. LOVE Dr. Goshaw.

Dr. Goshaw is amazing, and makes calc a little less miserable. Her online calc homework has unlimited attempts to get the correct answer, which carries your grade. She goes over a lot of examples in class, and her lectures are very clear. She has a great sense of humor and is very caring.

Professor Goshaw was an awesome professor! The weekly online homework held up our grades and was very helpful for the tests, it also had unlimited attempts. She is a great all around professor but make sure to show up to class, attendance isnt required but absences will lead to a lower grade.

Goshaw is a really nice lady. She teaches things pretty slowly, so if you're a slow learner it's good but if not it can get dull. Great professor, though and she really cares.
