I found her to be a great teacher if you show effort and attend class

She was great and very relaxed. Her notes are to the point and sometimes available online. Also, she is a great communicator.

Good humor, keeps things intresting and teaches it from a social perspective.

I've had her for 3 other courses, got A's in all 3. Those are probably the only 3 I've gotten at FAU. You either get her or you don't. She's the best psych teacher there in my opinion.

good teacher. If you dont go to class and listen and take good notes, you cant pass the tests. But she makes class really interesting and is always willing to answer questions. good videos. Gives students a good opportunity to get a good grade. Grade is based on papers, not only tests a good thing!!

The class is actually interesting at times but can be boring at others. The teacher is funny, and has a great sense of humor. Hubertz is an excellent teacher, makes the material as interesting as possible. She's very cool. I would definately recommend!

Motivated and fun. Would take another class with her any time! I was a lil distracted by her hands and foot disformation at first, but she is a great inspiration cause you would not be able to tell except for what you can see.

Class very fun and interesting

She's cool. Papers are easy to do and easy grade scale. It gets boring, but she trys to make it interesting. Tests are simple too. She gives an outline thing and just study that and you're fine.

Take notes and do the 4 essays and you'll have an "A"

you have 4 studies, which require a lot of attention. but overall i learned a LOT and her dry-ish humor is actually not so...dry. she's HILARIOUS and is SO REAONABLE and is REAL. she's not a walking textbook. her exams are hard but if you go to class and participate you'll have no problem.she's tough but she's the BEST and most FAIR. A++

Her tests are really hard. You have to know how to apply the material to situations and can't just memorize. She lets you write 4 papers and correct them for full points, so that really helps if you do them. If you go to class, study like hell, and do the papers then you'll be OK, but the tests will kill you! Do the papers to earn points.

I had her for Cognition and Personality Theories. She is very smart and will answer any question you have. I strongly recommend attending class unless you have a robust knowledge of psychology. She usually doesn't require you to purchase or read a book. I noticed most people who do not like her are the ones who never attend class and expect to pass

Good, nice teacher. Go to lecture it's helpful for the exams. She posts exam rubics, but they are not very detailed.

Good sense of humor and a good instructor. Lectures can be slightly boring, but I recommend attending, it will help for exams. Gives a mid-term, a second test and optional comp. final. 4 short research studies required, but not difficult to complete. I would recommend her course.

Great teacher, she encourages you to do better unlike other teachers. Took this class with a younger new teacher & she was not positive about some of the things she was saying. Confuse the students, seem unsure and studdard alot. After taking Hubertz this class seemed like a piece of cake. Come to class, do the papers and study and you'll do fine

She is a really nice teacher. I looked forward to going to class. If you don't go to class and just read the notes, you won't get higher than a 50 on the tests. She makes the class interesting. As the other student said, those that didnt like her were the ones that were failing bc they didnt go to class. She doesnt give grades away.

I LOVE Hubertz... I've taken 3 classes w/ her and they're always interesting. She does everything she can for you to pass... all you have to do is show up and go over the study guide before tests... papers are cake! If your thinking of taking a class w/ her DO IT!

If you do the assignments - which are cake - you get an A easily! The exams are straight from the notes & book. She's funny & always willing to help!

How could anyone say anything bad about her? I love her!! I've taken 3 classes with her. I think every psych major should take her. No reason why any student would get less than a b. You don't even have to come to class. all of her notes are on myfau. If you're not a good test taker, there are like 5 papers and you get to correct them.

respectful toward students. If you don't put in the time or effort into her class, you won't do well. I don't see how anyone could do well on the tests without going to class. aprox 70% of the test is from lecture and are application/critical thinking questions. She makes the class very interesting and cares about students that want to learn/care.

I took her class in the summer so it went very fast. Attendance not mandatory but go to class and pay attention it makes the tests much easier. 4 studies due throughout the semester but they are not hard and really help your grade. lots of extra credit. It was my first psych class and i got an A+. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for cognition!

Had her for both Cognition and Social Psychology. She gives very laid back and fun lectures. Her notes and lectures are all you need to be successful in the class, which saves a lot of long, boring textbook reading time. Both her classes were very interesting, and rather easy if you study... Luvd her and would definitely take her again!!!

She is an awesome teacher, she makes the classes very enjoyable. i took her for cognition and i loved it. she treats everyone the same which is good. she is very sarcastic during class so if you do not handle scarism very well shes probably not for you...i highly recomend her to everyone that is taking any psychology courses. =)

There is a few homeworks from the book but they honestly are so easy just follow the instructions and its 5 easy 100's. Def. take her if you can she is freaking awsome!

Had prof. hubertz for cognition, and again for an elective. she is hysterical, and unbelievably straight forward. attendance isn't required, but I would definitely suggest going. she can be strict, but she's fair. definitely my favorite psych. professors at FAU. taking her again in the spring!

She was cool. I never went to class. It was most everything learned in a general psych class, but with slightly more detail. The papers were annoying and time consuming, but helped my grade a lot. I got high c's on both tests and a 95 on the 5 papers total and got a 77 as a final grade, but the optional final is going to bring my grade up a lot.

Professor Hubertz is an amazing professor! If you are looking for a class where u don't have to do work or where the work is done for you then her classes aren't for u. LOVE LOVE LOVE! Hubertz is hilarious and really made it a great class for being at 8 am. I wouldn't say it's extremely difficult, nor would I say it's easy. I struggle with psych courses for some reason, so I have to always put a lot of effort in. I'd say if you study the notes, you should be fine (w/o textbook). We were offered 23 extra cred pts.

Prof. Hubertz is and will always be a great Professor. She combines videos and guest speakers within her lectures. She has a great sense of humor and is very passionate within her field. I highly recommend her for all courses she teaches. She makes sure you learn the material and if you read and study her notes, you will pass the course.

She is hilarious and a great teacher! Class notes are on blackboard, so all you have to do is add to them. Write down all her examples that she uses to explain concepts, you will see them on the tests. She offers extra credit as well.. All in all, very good class and I would recommend taking her that anything that she teaches not just SOP 3002

She loves her work and cares about the students grades and understanding of the material. I didnt open the book once and got an A. Sniffy is mandatory and make sure u do the extra credit. She.makes her own notes and is hard to pay attention to but the test is based off her notes. Best class ever

She makes class so interesting and FUNNY, relates the material to real life situations so that you can make sense of it. 2Exams with an opptional final (drops lowest grade if you do final) has Sniffy's assignments which are annoying but an easy grade booster. 1 Essay (very flexible with grading). Dont be scared of cog. take her!

AWESOME!! She makes 8:00am class pretty interesting and funny. There are 3 sniffy assignments that are tedious but can boost your grade a bit. 2 exams with optional cumulative final. 1 small essay but she's more than fair in grading. She gives you her notes that are on the exam. I-clicker required. TAKE HER!

Professor Hubertz is one of the best lecturers at FAU. You're not going to be bored in this class nor will you want to skip it. It's informative but in a very comfortable way. Professor Hubertz evaluates via tests and assignments in order to give everyone a chance to do well.

She is great! I also had her for Social Psych and she is very good about making concepts clear. She doesn't just lecture but encourages students to discuss the topics during class. Exams are conceptual and not definitions. She does not use the book so if you don't go to class you will not pass. Pay attention to her examples, they will come up!

She is the person to take Psych lab with. She's a great professor and offers great insight and advice.

As long as you show up and click into class, you will be FINE. this is such an open discussion class, and as long as you COMPLETE the assignments, she is an amazing grader. there are presentations in which you do with a group, and i have the biggest fear of speaking, and i still got an A on all 3 presentations. just SAY SOMETHING. she is super cool

Dr. Hubertz is AMAZING! She makes her lectures fun and extremely interesting (unlike most professors). Anyone that rates her poorly is completely WRONG!!! I took social psych with Professor Hubertz and she was a great teacher. Uses lots of examples and explains things very throughly. There are 3 test and an optional final. The optional final you can take to replace your lowest test grade. It only benefits you and can't hurt you. She also give a lot of extra credit. Take her!!!!! Really hard to fail

I am not a psych major. I took this class as an elective. There are three exams and an optional final. Attendance is not required, but if you show up consistently and follow her notes the tests won't be too hard. She makes the subject really interesting, her humor is a bonus. If you are don't pay attention or work hard this class is not for you.

Professor Hubertz is a fantastic teacher. Her class is very easy. She is the most honest teacher, you will ever have at fau. She gives extra credit, I advise you to take advantage of them if you don't plan on doing all the assign homework. There are debates in class which is very fun and interesting. There is no final for this class. A+ teacher!

Get ready to write a lot and talk in front of the class. It may seem daunting, but as someone who is terrified of public speaking, I can assure you that it's not as bad as it seems. Hubertz is a really chill professor and she helps students who may be nervous. If you HAVE to take this class, definitely take it with her.

I hate group projects but these were great! You get to grade the slackers! Over 80% of the class got an A or B so great grading as well!

Such a great experience!!! Loved this class and loved the professor! Some of the others in the class were lame and since there were group projects that made things worse.

Martha is the most amazing psychology professor at FAU! I took her human dev lab, and I had such an incredible time coming to class and working on the group research project. She is truly a wonderful human being, and I will definitely be taking more classes with her! 3 debates, 1 group research project, and a final reflection paper. HighlyRecommend

This class was super easy! most of the class got A's & B's and she built on our other classes! She also have us detailed notes so undid to even need the book! She's funny and is really smart!

Exams make up 60% of your grade, but she adds curves and gives 3 exams with an optional final if you're not happy with your grade. Discussions are simple and she allows you to do video post instead of papers as option. Heads up S-L means its service learning course which means you have to do 15 hrs of volunteer work.

Best professor I have ever taken, she actually teaches! I have had her for Developmental, Social and Forensic Psychology! I never write reviews but this lady deserves it, if it was up to me id have her as my professor every class every semester. I took her online, she gives you 2 tries on exams, 4 discussion posts, and, weekly short quizzes 10/10!!

Martha Hubertz is a fantastic professor. Her classes are engaging and she genuinely cares about students' learning. I found the weekly quizzes and two-try exams really helpful for staying on top of the material. unstuckstudy was a great study tool too.

Such a sweet teacher. Gives extra credit throughout the entire semester. Tests are open note (online course). Make sure to complete yellow dig. You would have to put 0 effort in if you fail this class.
