a VERY smart man...great prof

A very intense and engaging prof. You'll hear stories about his business and his kids. One thing is that his short answer quizzes are quite difficult.....getting perfect is definitely something that doesn't come often. Keep up with his notes........

He actually made me want to go to class, kept it interesting.

Martin is the best teacher for these courses. He has a unique way of thinking and if you go to his classes and keep up on his notes you will understand it-if you don't, he makes time to help you. I learned so much more than just HAP & HDP from Martin:)

Martin is the best teacher that i've ever had in the anatomy course. He is always helpful and easy to reach however, u've got to study for his tests and especially the quizzes, since they are always short answer questions. Martin, I love you!!! and good luck in future years to come!!!:)

Martin is thurogh and clear in his teaching skil. He IS a text book. His explanations arenot complicated. He is very approachable and friendly. His S.A. quest force you to really put the information you know into the right words.

Great Proffessor.... But wach out for his quizzes and tests as he loves to give only short answers and marks them hard.

I love Martin! He is a hard marker, but if you study you can pass his quizes with good marks. He knows what he is talking about and you learn a lot from him. Be prepared to write a lot

He is a great teacher, very funny and has a lot of knowledge. His tests are hard and so are his quizzes. It is very hard to get a 100% on his quizzes. Study hard for this course. However, Martin is one of the best profs I ever had. I have learned a lot.

Watch out for his quizzes because they can be difficult. He does not use the textbook so all his exams/quizzes are through his notes. NOTES ARE IMPORTANT. Great prof. The best that I've had EVER. You'll enjoy his class :)

He is the best teacher I've ever had! He doesn't use the test book because he is brilliant. He writes down his notes for you on the board so it is important for you to attend every class and get those notes because all of his quizzes/tests are straight from his notes. Hence, if you know (aka study) EVERYTHING from his notes.. you will get an A!

Great professor. If you listen, everything will make sense. If you ask him anything he will give you the most crystal clear answer. Great professor (did I say that again?). Tests are all from his notes so textbook is not required. Tests are difficult. Key to success is to memorize EVERYTHING in his notes.

all I'm going to say is that after our section finished the course, people were saying: "When I grow up, I want to be Martin Galloway!" He is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. A really good teacher, I really hope I get him again!

Amazing professor, best analogies!

He is the best~ very helpful and explain things well. I found that his quizzes were harder than his test. Memorize all his note- I got A in this class and did not buy a text book :) You will be very lucky to have him.

Such a pleasure to have as a professor! Extremely knowledgable and knows how to teach. Tests are not super easy though. Also very funny and has awesome stories. P.S love when he puts on that English accent! LOL

he is an AWESOME teacher. if you go to his classes and write everything down you'll easily pass. never opened the textbook even once. he knows his stuff and loves to teach! I wish there were more teachers out there he's so funny he makes the class interesting. he is really helpful and you actually learn in his classes. AMAZING WONDERFUL AWESOME

Amazing, Amazing, AMAZING teacher. best teacher i have ever had in my life. He makes anatomy and pathophysiology an enjoyable and very easy to understand subject! Extremely interesting individual as well! His stories are hilarious :)

The BEST prof. one of the classes I learned the MOST in. All information is relevant, makes sense, & from his notes. Hes an expert. What you need to learn is crystal clear. He makes the class very interesting and engaging and you enjoy coming to class. He is quite an individual, you would be fortunate to be in his class and hear what he has to say.

One of Seneca's finest professors. He is truly an amazing teacher and human being. His tests are all based on lecture material. Show up to class, review your notes and you will be fine. P.s his stories are THE BEST :)

Questions are a bit tricky on tests/quizzes. Great lecturer though and extremely knowledgeable. Pleasure for both parts of pathophysiology. FINALLY YOU GET TOUR CHILLI PEPPER JUST LIKE YOUR SON! :D

most interesting class, time just fly on his class, but his question are tricky, and hard. :( i failed in his class by few marks.. :(

Doesn't use book & posts his own notes with exactly what is on tests. Seemed easy enough but was failing this class till the end of Nov because I thought I could pass with just reading the notes once. He started tutoring a few of us & showed us how to understand patho & not to just skim thru notes. My mark went from 0-100 real fast after that.

Clear Grading criteria, Amazing Lectures, There for you, Respected and Remembered, Hilarious, Would definitely take any class he teaches! Nursing students who are lucky to be his students in the fist and second years of BScN program, savor every minute of those lectures, no prof out there is better! We all missed him greatly when moved on to York.

Honestly, the best professor I have ever had. He reinforces course content with stories which really helped me have a better understanding of pathologies. He is very fair with his tests and marks, and will go through anything you might have questions on. He made my third semester of Nursing great!

Great professor and really knows his stuff. His stories are funny too, but sometimes gets off topic haha. Definitely go to all his classes to see what he highlights from his notes that he posts online. Only complaint is that sometimes he has grammatical mistakes in his notes like a brain dump so it helps to rewrite them.

You need to go to class and listen. He outlines important information from his notes. Memorizing his notes really helps for the exam, but understanding them is obviously important. He is very charming and his stories are so funny and interesting. The course is obviously hard, so its not going to be a easy mark to get. You have to study for it.

Great teacher. Funny and interesting. Tests are tough, and you can't pass them by memorizing. You have to understand the material. Probably my favourite teacher in seneca.

he is a nice person but unfortunately he makes his quizzes/tests too hard and frustrating for no reason. Wish his teaching was more similar to D. Anderson's. would probably recommend to switch to another professor if you end up getting him

Honestly one of the best profs you'll ever meet. Never miss out on a chance to attend his lectures. His tests are fairly simple, given you read his notes. Best yet, no long, dry, textbook readings.

He has his own way of lecturing, you must attend class to pass the tests/quizes! Amazing prof!

Throughout all my years of being a student I have never appreciated a prof so much. Martin is not only the smartest teacher i've met, but the most interesting. His lectures are awesome and he really breaks it up with a funny story here and there. Memorize his notes pretty much word for word and understand them WELL. He's approachable for questions!

The best prof. ever. Very smart and dedicated. Wants you to do well. Easy to communicate with. Tests are OK, but not easy. His lectures are lots of fun.

he is the perfect example of amazing teacher. he comes to class and just talks from his head and its so easy to listen to him. he does not believe in textbooks and power points, just come to his classes and listen and you'll be fine. he also posts notes which are not long and very clear. best teacher I've had.

One of the sweetest professors that actually tries to help you succeed in the course. Very interesting stories. He's a tough grader when it comes to short answer on the test but I definitely enjoyed him.

Best professor I've had so far. He really knows what he's teaching, he doesn't use the textbook or read off of PowerPoints, everything is from the top of his head. He's lectures are amazing and he always has stories to tell. He prepares his own notes for you to study off of and adds a few points throughout his lectures.

He is not only an amazing professor but amazing person. He is a tough grader on short answers though. Make sure you go to class. If anyone who reads this is struggling in the course go talk to him in person. He will give you advice that will help you go from failing to an A++++ very quickly but you have to put in the effort.

Study his notes and regurgitate what he ask back to him with short answers you won't have a problem. He creates stories that you will remember when doing midterms and finals. Forget about test banks he WRITES HIS OWN TEST QUESTIONS>

This is the ONLY class i'll tell you guys to go to for Nursing BsCn. Every other course is easily self-study, but this? You don't go to his class and you'll have a pretty tough time getting a good grade on his quizzes and tests. Mainly because a lot of his content is from stuff he actually says in class and not in his notes. P.S don't buy the book.

He makes a class heavy in content enjoyable and understandable! He teaches using his own notes and telling stories that apply to the content which really helps understand the content in a real-world scenario. He's very funny and always wants to help you understand. Martin is awesome!

a great guy, but gets off-topic sometimes talking politics. make sure to memorize any powerpoints/word docs and you're golden. u could skip every class & still do well as long as u memorize the material he posts, but sometimes he gives extra info/examples in lecture that are not on the docs he uploads.

The best teacher I've ever had, he gave extremely hollistic lectures which had me leaving with understanding. Extremely down to earth and caring. He understands his students learnign needs and has amazing charisma rare in people let alone professors that keeps you engaged. The least hostile teacher imaginable and has left great impact on me.

Martin is AMAZING. A genuinely caring and hilarious man. He had a way to make anatomy exciting. remember to come to class ready with your materials to take notes on, and be prepared to take ALOT of notes. At the end, it's all worth it because his exams are all based only on what he talks about in class.

Let me just say Martin is a kind and funny teacher. I was one of the few who were lucky enough to get him in my first year in nursing school (RN). He is accessible outside of class and gives you great studying advice. Didn't use textbook much since he gave us great notes that were summarized on the board. His drawings were great for studying.

Love Mr. Galloway. Yes his lectures aren't 1000% necessary but he is intresting to listen to and really knows his stuff. You can tell when someone is just teaching a topic with no interest and he is nothing like that. I genuinely wish I was able to attend more of his lectures during my semester

Martin is an amazing and funny teacher. He is able to explain topics in a simple way. His tests are not hard and are based on his notes and lectures. Just make sure you read the multiple choice questions carefully. I would definitely recommend taking pathophysiology with him.

Honestly, i just loved going to his lecture cuz he made it more amusing eventho he would get off topic at times, he manages to puts a smile on your face during our stressful times. BEWARE TO RE READ HIS TEST QUESTIONS! THEY ARE TRICKY! concepts on tests are basic but the way he words them can mess with you. Overall, can't hate on him, he is great!

After 15 years of post secondary school, Martin stands out as my most respected, & favoured professor. He knows his topic inside and out, answers questions thoroughly, provides feedback, and connects with his students - see crowds of students following him in the halls like Moses from the bible. I will never forget how he prepared me for my career.

nice prof, make sure you read his notes and listen to his lecture because sometimes he covers different content that is not in his notes. looks for specific answers in his tests.

BEST PROF EVER! He teaches AMAZING and really really CARES about his students. His tests wording can be tricky but study his notes ppt and attend lectures and its a breeze. He makes his test fair and you can see that if u know the content. Again hes the BEST!! take his class!!

I have never been able to thoroughly understand anatomy or pathophysiology or achieve a grade higher than a B (if that). But with Martin as my professor, I understand the content so well. The way he teaches is extremely helpful and he is probably one of the nicest teachers I've ever had. His tests and quizzes are tricky but def attend his classes!

I've had Martin for both 301 & 401, and I wish he was the professor for all of the courses! His tests and quizzes are not hard if you attend lectures OR read his notes. Most of the material on his tests are from his lectures (85%). He is an awesome prof and really teaches the material in the best way possible.

Hes adorable. Hes definitely not a tough grader, you really just have to listen to his lectures and read his posted notes to pass HDP301 AND HDP401. Everything from the lectures are in his tests, so if you watch or attend his classes, you'd do great in the class. He's a very understanding and sweet old guy who loves to share stories from his past!

Overall, Cool guy. The notes he posts are on the test, but I highly recommend coming to class because he mentions details that were not posted on the notes. His quizzes are tricky but if you read the notes multiple times the quizzes and test should be okay. He talks about his past which helps with remembering most of the content in my opinion.

Best Professor. Very intelligent and gives the best notes. pay attention his classes are content and lecture heavy but you will learn so much. Don't be fooled by the beard, he is the coolest, most inspirational man. I wish I had him for more of my courses.

Overall good!

He is a great person, but a hard teacher. You HAVE to go to lectures as he usually has quizzes in person every week. All tests and quizzes are based solely on what he says during lecture so write down everything. He is not impossible to pass, as long as you study word for word.

It has been 31 years since I was a student of Martins. He is still so very fondly remembered as my favourite teacher of all time.

Martin is the most memorable professor I know. He enriches lectures with captivating stories and personal experiences. He also grades very fairly. Studying is easy as everything you need to know for quizzes/tests are in his handouts!!! His multiple choice questions may seem tricky initially, but are fair and logical with careful reading.

An exceptional prof whose passion for teaching is evident in every lecture. Disappointing to hear about his retirement as I won't have the chance to learn from him next semester, but happy for him nonetheless. His engaging lectures captivate students and make learning exciting. Undoubtedly the best teacher I've ever had; he will be greatly missed.
