Just great.

Absolutely great, helped me to understand math--something I thought was impossible. Not a lot of homework-just enough to make sure that you understand. 3 exams. Very helpful. Study, ask questions and you will be fine.

The best...the kindest...the most helpful and understanding there is...and for the math department that is a feat! An all around good teacher and good guy.

This guy needs to be cloned and his clones distributed across the country's Math classrooms. Seriously. He got me through math where many, many others failed. Plus: he is a very nice, and sometimes funny, guy.

This man is brillant! I love him!!! I've failed math in the past and with him I'm getting atleast a B. He teaches so good and makes sure the class understands..He repeats thing constantly. He's such a great guy, his personality is just great!

I took this course with Prof. Scalia and was disappointed because she doesn't know how to teach. This professor is great! I know because I took him three years ago and still remember him. He is patient and speaks to his students with respect. I would take him again.

He's the best of the best..great teacher...should be the only math teacher in lehman...he's funny and makes the class interesting...i would take him again if i could..

He is great teacher and funny just like all are saying, just wish the guy would consider teaching the more advanced courses, need more teachers like him.

Hes one if not the best teacher i've ever had. He very helpful, 3 tests throughout the semester, checks homework 3 times (but always do your homework because it helps), he makes learning math fun and i extremely reccomend him. He should teach higher course levels because to me hes one of a kind.

Is an awesome professor and if you dont like math you will end it loving it. He teaches very good and answers every question., and yes his office time its suitable to anyone.

before taking this professors class,I failed just about every algebra class that I attempted to take and avoided math as much as possible. Teplitzky is an excellent teacher! Very humorous, light hearted and gets his job done. Hes very helpful and succint. Great Professor and is a bit attractive too! :D

For those of u who hate math, This teacher is great in making things fun and easy. He makes things simple to understand and is fair in grading. Only thing he demands is to know your times table and to complete your homework assignments since they are useful 2 u. He gives 4 quizzes, 1 final, and collects the hw 3x for the semester. Great Teacher!

By far the best teacher I had at lehman. Very cool! He actually made me like math! Test are very easy as long as you do his hw and study it as well.

Great instructor and great human being. I had to take his class to fullfill the teaching certification requirement. Never liked math but he made learning so much fun that I looked forward to going to the class. I think that no matter how hard the subject is, it would be easier if the instructor knows how to teach it and he certainly knows how.

I absolutely loved his class! 3 quizzes and a final, you really can't ask for more! I advise you to actually come to class, and do the hw (he does not check it btw) but its very helpful! I looked him up on rate my pro and seen so many good reviews, so I decided to take him and it was the best decision I made!

GREAT A in MAT 104 after i had failed the semester before with another prof. He makes you understand the work and is super understanding. If math was taught his way any one will like and learn math.I dont know why these prof.arent like him.

hate math esp algebra. teplisky is a great teacher. Has some flaws at times but is always willing to clarify, help,& is understanding. No1 makes u fail except YOURSELF. A great guy who likes cofee, big deal. stop pointing fingers & look in the mirror.TRY STUDYING & doin HW even tho he usually dont check it. I hate math but like this teacher

Great Professor. I had to take the remedial classes before taking math104 I'm really bad at math, plus I haven't been in school in years, compared to the high school students just graduating. He was very helpful and he makes sure you understand everything before he continues with the next lesson. I would definitely take him again.

He's a great professor. He knows exactly what he's doing and manages to teach many (much simpler) methods to approaching and answering said math problems. Not to mention he does share a fair amount of Non-Math related information which is just useful in everyday life. All while keeping well on topic with plenty time to review all the class material

AMAZINGGGG, hes super funny and makes class interesting. The test are directly from the notes and hes very specific when explaining the material, just take him you wont regret it.

Prof goes out of his way to help. During class, after, or e-mail. He's there and all he asks in return is you doing the HW even though it's not mandatory. I personally think that they should give him a raise or upgrade him to chair of the department. Made Finals EASY to pass. He's one of the few prof that over extends himself, don't ruin it!

He is an AMAZING math professor he really cares about his students to pass. His exams are from the notes and for the final he gives out samples on what the final would be like. It worth taking his class just go over his notes, study and attend to his class. You will pass and get an A or B.

Professor Teplitzky is the best professor in math! He explains the concepts clearly and is available after class if you have any concerns.He is very approachable and will take the time to explain things over and over again. No one believed that I could pass math except for him. He believed in me and because of him, I passed the course with a B.

The best math professor I have had in my life. Made me love math which I hated.Make sure to attend class and follow instructions and you will pass. He takes time to explain everything at least twice and offers extra help after class if you need it. Take him and you won't regret it.

Teplitzky is AMAZING people, He's very social and funny. He's not all about math, although he is serious when he teaches. He likes to make conversations with the class about random but interesting topics ! Its great. His teaching method is extremely clear and to the point. I wish he gave other courses because I would definitely take him again

TAKE HIM AND YOU WILL LOVE MATH! Best math teachers ever. Breaks his solutions down, proves why he got a certain answer, and is always open for questions! Although he might get off topic at times, talking about certain things he found interesting and telling us about cool things that are out there, the class is one of the best math courses ever.

He is an amazing teacher, the kind you'd never imagine getting for math. He has extreme respect for his students and is very open minded about absences and lateness if you're sick. He is always checking to see if anyone has questions and offering to help. His grading gradually gets tougher during the semester, but he is a dream to learn from!

Sweet guy. Straight forward tests and grading. Always goes over test the next class. As long as you do know what you're doing and get good grades, he some overlooks absences. He gives some problems every day for homework. Not a lot, just enough to help you understand the material. He CAN stray off topic alot but entertaining. TEXTBOOK REQUIRED.

All you need do is attend class he answers questions and encourages you to ask after every class he gives home work to help you understand better and he goes over it at the next class In every class he always have an article from the New York times to talk about if you attend class and do the homework be sure to pass the class textbook required.

Really good prof. Just go to class and do the little hw he gives u and go the class notes over for 5 minutes at home and the 3 quiz he gives you which are only 10 questions each will b easy. Very sweet and understanding guy. I recommend him if you don't really like math bc it he makes it so easy. i would take his class again.

One thing i can say is that he is very passionate about his job as a teacher and he does justice to his explanation that even if you didn't know Mat, you going to understand. I very much recommend him.

Professor Teplitzky is the best math teacher I have ever had in my life. I was very worried going into this class since I struggle with this subject but he taught so clearly and I was able to understand the material perfectly. He is caring and willing to accommodate and reschedule in order to ensure you get a good grade!

Professor Teplitzky is a spirited and very seasoned educator. I'm not a fan of math but he made the subject not only tolerable but enjoyable. His clear explanations and nifty shortcuts were really helpful come quizzes (midterm of sorts). His stories he would tell in between lessons and homework review were always enlightening or funny. Golden guy.

I'm not a big fan of math but he definitely cares about his students and makes the subject fun. He's also very clear and goes over anything you ask. I wish I could take all my math classes with him!

Homework assigned for every class but only takes a couple minutes. He does get off topic at times to tell stories but it could be entertaining

An amazing professor who cares about his Students, just show up do the work and you will be okay, theres nothing to worry about, talk to him if you have any problems, never get discouraged and just keep doing your work, these rates only mean that his a great professor. But also follow your instinct and do what you have to do. Pay attention.

Professor Teplitzy is the reason I passed this course. As someone who is very slow at math, he was the best professor for someone who has as much difficulty in math as I do. He takes his time teaching, and wants you to succeed. He is straight forward with grading, and gives you little to no homework so you can spend time going over class problems.

Took him for College Algebra, and he is amazing. Very clear grading criteria, he assigns short homework assignments which he checks occasionally, but I would recommend doing the homework just so you understand the material. Tests are very fair and he cares about his students and wants them to pass. Would recommend. His lectures are very clear.

He was very nice, but too talkative

I found his class very enjoyable, take him. He's very clear explaining. Show up and pay attention and you'll do very well. You can ask all the questions and they will be answered. Encourages participation and will call on you if he notices you're not paying attention. Gives exam review and what you see in class is on the exam.

Mr. Teplitzky made math bearable again. He explains things so clearly and won't move on until he knows you understand. He tries really hard to make this class enjoyable and stress free for everyone regardless of your math skills. He talks quite a lot so class time gets stretched out a little and I honestly get quite bored. Other than that, EASY A+.

Math has never been a strong subject for me and I struggle. This professor at all times has given me encouraging words, hope, and never let me give up. As long as you don't give up on yourself, he will go above and beyond for his students. Giving up is not an option. He is a professor who truly cares for his students even the ones who struggle.

THE BEST PROFESSOR EVERRRR! He should really teach all of the other math courses. Lehman has some bad math professors so when I took his class I was surprised and he's by far my favorite math professor. There's a couple of quizzes and one exam, then the final. All that he teaches will be on the final, there' no tricks just study he's review sheets.

Literally the best math instructor I've ever had. He has this amazing ability to make the most difficult topics easy to understand in less than 20 minutes. Stuff that took me weeks to understand in high school became doable in one class! Just pay attention in class, practice the sample problems, and you'll pass with flying colors!

I took him during the pandemic, so classes were online, but he was so understanding through it all. TAKE HIM!! whether it is online or in person. he's great!!

Disagree with post dated 05/06/2021 about professor Teplitzky making errors! That is usually his way of seeing which students are paying attention. Important you know your times tables and have textbook with you. Very easy class & the professor helps you solve the homework qs. Professor Teplitzky is always available to answer questions. Take class!

Professor Teplitzky is one of the best professors I have ever come across. Its sad to say because ALL professors should be like this, but he really wants you to do well. Aside from being an awesome professor, he is an awesome human being. I had issues with connecting to his online class and he contacted me DURING class to help me figure it out.
