wonderful prof! loved his lectures and discussion! makes me want to teach!

I had him for a 3 hour night class, and we were always laughing. Great teacher.

Hilarious Guy! Very relaxed class setting, easy class, makes you enjoy going, & ndex cards are not so bad.

He is a great guy. Very funny. He makes the class fun. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, and easy to understand. I would definitely suggest taking him

He has this rude habit of asking a question, calling on someone (using his index cards) and then rudely talking over the person trying to answer, or right when they start to answer he'll begin rephrasing the question making it longer and more complex.

He's a very funny guy. Not a lot of work to do in this class, but don't expect to do nothing. Asks really long, unneccessarily complex questions, you can just make up something because there's never a right answer.

It's an easy class. If you don't like rambling tangents and want to learn, take thermodynamic physics I. He's a relatively easy "A" and when it boils right down to it, that's all we care about. If you want a challenge change your major :/

Definitely has unique ways of getting people to talk in class... be prepared to answer a lot of questions... there's no right answer. His study guides are really helpful.

I do not understand why anyone would give him a bad rating. I loved his class, he makes it fun and you get to know everyone really well in class by the end of the semester because he encourages group work:)

not a hard class at all, very long winded prof tho. Everyone must answer questions b/c he rifles thru his little index cards and kamikazes some poor unsuspecting student. Tests are picky but not hard. he seems to talk in riddles at times

prof speaks in monotone which is borderline annoying but the class/assignments are fun & easy

this professor is a really nice guy, however he is a little on the weird side. He writes his notes from right to left on the board and he tends to be monotoned, however he is a good teacher. Everyone should have teh experiance that is Marty.

He's a great teacher. His class was very structured and the dates things were due were specified and followed. He made the class fun and encouraged group work.

Easy class, we did the same thing every day. Get into groups and talk about our feelings towards diversity.

Oh, come on guys. Marty's a good prof. True, he can ramble a little but compared to some of the other profs I've taken he's one of the best. Assignments are fair, fun and easy. What more could you want?

It seemed like no matter what our views were on something, we were wrong. But he just did that to get us thinking about defending our views.

I loved this class and this prof. This class was so easy. A few group projects and some activities in class and thats it. His tests are simple. People say that he wants everyone to hold his views which is untrue. He just likes to argue w/the students and get them to actually think about their views. If you are closed minded do not take class.

This prof. was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed him. He asks for your opinion and then sees to make sure that's what you really believe. He just wants you to back up your answers. His tests/quizzes are very simple and the projects and group work is very easy. This class was a lot of fun! Movies everyday! Take this prof. You'll love him!

Such a nice man. Interesting lectures. All I have to say is...Barbies!? Wow.

Interetesting and funny guy. Class is easy. Very little homework, and very little reading. There were only 2 tests and 4 assignments, so if you don't do pretty good on all of them your grade will suffer. I would take him again.

I think he is a great prof! He is super nice and gives us a broad range of info on the topic we're learning about. He is good about letting us voice our opinions on topics as well!

The topic is diverse, there are no right answers to the questions he asks, so I believe students who did not rate him highly were looking for something concrete from a subject that is anything but. The idea is to make you think and develop your own philosophy.

He was my favorite professor all semester. He only assigned three quizzes all semester, including the Midterm and Final exams. There were only two big papers which were fairly easy, but time consuming. Regardless of what other students say, he is great to have as a professor, funny, and makes it worth your time to be in class.

Lets his classes decide when things are due and also lets the class decide when an amendment to a due date needs to be made. Unfortunately lecture is a part of the class you can't skip but he was entertaining enough to hold my attention through 3 weekends of classes. Fair grader with lots of feedback. Would definitely take him again!
