Honestly... it really depends on the person. He makes a lot of jokes which sometimes are funny (sometimes). The only thing that I really disliked about him was that he makes you feel bad about yourself for being born in an advanced technology generation. Tests are not multiple choice. Makes you work for it, but I can't lie, I learned A LOTT!!!

He offers a unique insight to American History that makes his class enjoyable. He lectures and you take 3 exams, and offers extra credit. He's pretty funny. He makes fun of the students he likes and knows that they can take a joke. He doesn't trust anyone though, so don't make any excuses or reasons why you could not do something.

Despite the pandemic, I even enjoyed his class more online! He put a lot of effort into getting our class up and running quickly. Despite being outside of a traditional classroom, his lectures still entranced me. Prof. Ennis had few homework assignments, and based his quizzes and tests mostly on his lectures while using the reading for background.

Its shocking how many people cant function when the professor doesnt give you a multiple choice test. There are no papers, no getting into groups to talk, just him lecturing on the exact material that will be on the test. The tests are short answer and he will give you credit for any info you put down. My favorite professor

Probably the most passionate prof. I have ever had. Seems like he knows anything and everything surrounding his lessons and will answer any questions you have. Lectures are funny and well planned, better to watch live. He gives amazing feedback on papers and as long as you can write and get your facts correct you will pass. I highly recommend.

Teaches via modern cultural movies. Continuously insults his students. Promises extra credit, them does not give it after the work is done. He often got facts wrong or was unsure of the facts. Learned very little, if anything. Easily the rudest person at Grosmont. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Great structure (despite the difficulty of online classes), absolutely hilarious with interesting lectures. He always gave me great feedback on writing assignments, and I always felt comfortable going into assignments. Strict grading while being simultaneously laid back, always offered extra credit. Looking forward to taking another class with him.

With Professor Ennis, it's like nothing was ever enough. I took his online class and the lectures were highly long, repetitive, and boring. He grades so incredibly hard and I've never had this problem with any other professor. He wants every tiny detail and nitpicks like CRAZY.

Any written answers were never enough, no matter what he'll pick things that he didn't ask you to talk about and dock you points because of it, I did well on all my multiple choice questions but would get much lower scores whenever he would grade my papers

Not the worst professor, given an online course, some good jokes in the lectures and overall they are informational but quite repetitive. My main issue is his unmerciful writing assignment grading, he will nitpick your writing to the bone and will find something to mark you off for, i usually get A A+s on my papers but in his class i got B A-s

Professor Ennis has a unique teaching style that may not suit everyone. Lectures can be lengthy, but engaging if you stay focused. The grading is strict, but fair feedback helps improve writing skills. unstuckstudy can be a helpful study companion.

He rants about how humanity is inherently evil and lazy and broadcasts his political opinions at least once a day. Goes over like 5 slides a day rambling about history things not germane to unit. Very condescending and cruel about students who aren't "hard workers." Textbook is basically all you need, but he doesn't tell you what to read, you guess
