Mr. Jackson is a cool teacher. his class is easy if you pay attention and attend on a daily basis. He does not take any crap. overall hes really cool and good looking
Yay!! He is finally up, haha. I requested for his name to be up. Anyhow, Mr. J is frickin' super! I adore his teaching and plus he is quite a looker. Besides that, he is extremely fair with grading. Cell phones off or put to silent because if not, the whole class will pay a great deal for that. Don't be rude, he dislike that. I was in Hist 17A.
This guy is the man. Very interested in what he does and is happy for you to test his knowledge. He gives 50 pts of extra credit and the study guides are a duplicate of the exam. Overall i recommend him. Even if the class is full he'll take you. By the way the he is extremely humorous.
Mr. Jackson is awesome....and mega hott! That's all I gotta say about that. Totally take his class, it's super easy. :)
he is a ok teacher he is some sort of coach for delta football right above a water boy and all of the retarded football players take his class for easy grade ? not sure about that he outlines every test and gives you all the info but spends to much time talking about how he will be at bar that part is for females in class over all a ok teacher
I have never enjoyed history, but Mr. Jackson puts emphasis on knowing the information, and is entertaining while teaching. His test are multiple choice, and easy if you listen and read the book. (BTW, I enjoyed his book more then any other history book). If you take the class, do the work, and attend and youll get an easy A.
He's pretty cool
Acts like a student. not helpful at all. Is rude to some of his students. notes are hard to follow because he doesn't finish them.
Respect him and he will respect you. Don't try to be sneaky with extra credit or anything for that matter. He is on to those games. Study guides are just like test & quizzes. It is an easy A if you apply yourself. He offers 50 points total for extra credit. And TURN OFF PHONE DURING CLASS cuz the class will get extra assignments if it rings.
VERY KNOWLEDGABLE WITH SUBJECT AND TAUGHT WITH GREAT PASSION.
I am most grateful for Mr. Jackson and his teachings, prior to being in his class I obtained little knowledge of Black History. However ending the class I can say that I gained alot of information on Black History to be able to pass on to my children, being as tho there's a lack of education on Black History.
Mr Jackson,is a greatprofessor and very clear in what he is teaching. If you do your reading and the working giving, there is no way you will not pass his class. He is very passionate about teaching and that you the student are learning. If you have an issue, he is there for you.He has so much hope for everyone.Need more classes,a C&D,to learn more.
I took Jacksons History 30A & B classes. From my experience, Jackson's a great professor. He's gives you all information that you will ever need to pass his class. Never leaves you blindsided about anything. If you literally read chapters pay attention in lecture actually do your study guides (not copy) youll pass Thats how I did. Got an A+ in both
Blunt, down to earth, intelligent, well spoken professor. He's easy and is very in depth of the topics he jumps on. He isn't afraid to be controversial and will have an intellectual convo with you in class. If you fail, it's on you. Alot of xtra cred and lots of ways to make up. Put the time in and it'll pay off unlike other professors in delta.
This man is a total bigot! He refuses to hear or listen to anyone's opinion but his own. SARCASTIC and prejudice (calls woman bipolar). I would totally avoid taking his class unless you have low self-esteem and no self-worth ladies. I took his American History class but it felt more like Black History because that's all he would talk about.
Mr. Jackson is a great teacher! He calls out students randomly to answer questions. So I highly advise you to read the chapters before class. There's 4 tests he drops your lowest score, 10 quizzes and a 10 page paper. Just study read the text book and you'll get a good grade.
His class was awesome. He taught with confidence and precision, definitely has a low tolerance for BS. Hates students that are late, that text throughout class, and really hates when students dont read the material. If you do what you're supposed to, there's no reason why you shouldn't pass.
Cool, Funny, and young with lots of potential knowledge.
Mr.Jackson is very smart and his lectures were very informative. You just have to read the book and put in the effort. If you can do that then you will get a good grade. I do agree with some of the other comments, it did sometimes feel like at times that the class lesson was more focused on Black History. But overall great instructor and class!
He's a slacker who doesn't want to show up to his classes. He cancels class because a few people talk, and says "This's what happens when y'all mess wit' Mistah Jacksuhn."
Not sure why my other review did not show up, but this man seems to have personal issues with anyone who is not African american. He always, ALWAYS makes jokes that are borderline prejudice; picks on white people and women in general. This is an American History class but 99% of it, he talks about the black struggle. Easy A, but IMPARTIAL teacher.
Arrogant and Self Centered
He can't write grammatically, and test questions he writes are therefore so clouded and confused by his juvenile level of coherence many answers must be guesses, because who knows what he meant?
So lousy a teacher that he's probably looking for another teaching job. He took a week off toward the end of the spring semester.
Read the material, do your work, and don't take things personal because it's not. In general his intentions are good and wants his students to succeed. A man with a good heart with a unique way of showing it. He took a week off towards the end of the semester for a conference. Study guides provided, test are just like the study guides.
Overall great teacher. He will help you if you just ask. His jokes are funny and who ever takes offense to them has no humor. Just do your work plain and simple
I put zero effort into this class and I just calculated my grade to be a 91%. His exams/ quizzes are to easy, but the answers are incorrect every once in a while. He's really easy going and understands that students are only taking his class for the credits. I would recommend his class to anyone who has a busy schedule .
Very easy class, but this professor is strict so don't talk and turn off your phone.
Class is easy just that the professor is strict about turning in late work or talking in class especially when a phone ring during lecture...
I liked how Professor Jackson loved the subject he was teaching. He is very thorough and answers all questions. I totally recommend him for any history class.
HE IS HOT literally! class was half online and live. He DOES take attendance seriously! no talking called out to the front of class; no phone ringing essays to write. 1 term paper SUPER EASY, 3 exams & he drops the lowest score &10 quizzes super easy! DONT SEND HIM THRU EMAIL UR TERM PAPER, HE WILL NOT ACCEPT IT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
My favorite teacher I ever had. Make sure to set up an appointment to get to know him personally, he'll help with whatever he can. All I can say is delta is fortunate to have such a great instructor. P.s he speaks spanish and is really intelligent
Mr. Jackson is a very laid-back instructor. I don't like history, but he makes it very interesting. Attend class regularly because he will put you on the spot when you show up the next day. Easy class to pass, just don't talk when he's talking, don't let your phone make a sound - he has a 3 strike rule otherwise he will have you write a paper.
Although wasn't the best professor I've had, Jackson's class was really easy. As long as you do the study guides and come to class there's no reason you can't get an "A". He encourages class participation, and gives pretty thorough lectures. He gives most of his tests online, but coming to class is necessary to figure out when the tests are.
Mr. Jackson is a great history teacher. His lectures are interesting and well organized. He is strict with attendance, so try not to miss any classes. This class requires one research essay. I would recommend that you start your research as soon as you know the topic. The first exam is very important, prepare well.
Jackson is one tough, funny man. Great class! Class mainly consists of Online quizzes (8) , a 2 part midterm, and 2 part final. All but one of the quizzes and exams are online, mostly untimed, so yes you CAN USE THE BOOK. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING THE EBOOK VERSION, since it's cheaper, and YOU CAN SEARCH PART OF THE QUESTIONS.
Professor Jackson is an amazing teacher and he's also very easy. His lectures aren't long and he explains everything very well. He is always surprising his students with something when you take him you will know what I mean. Great teacher take him!
The best part about Jackson are his lectures
Only 3 test and he chooses the highest scores. Exams are done online except one is half online half in class. Exams are fairly easy. 10 quizzes mainly online. 1 paper with specific guidelines so it's easy to pass if you follow the guideline.
You have to go to class to pass isnt so bad but isnt so easy !
Professor Jackson was amazing! He made everything we did in class was clear and super insightful, he could make any discussing interesting. He was open to questions and discussions. Participate in class and he will remember you, which is usually a good thing. I'd definitely recommend his class!
There are 10 quizzes, 2 exams, and 1 essay. If you are a bad class though, he may make you write more essays, luckily we weren't. Most quizzes are online, but he randomly chooses to have some in person, which you can't retake if you're absent. I would say to get an A in this class, you must show up everyday.
the quizzes are so easy just do the study guides in which all the answers are in the BOOK hidden you need to look for them. Tests are just the study guide questions Also the research paper is EASY choose the civil war AS LONG AS YOU DO GOOD ON ALL THE QUIZZES AND EXAMS AND PAPER GURANTEED A (You do have to put work not a lot but work)
Professor Jackson is a great professor. He gives a different perspective on history than the mainstream version most of us have come to know. He provides study guides which makes the quizzes and exams pretty straight forward. If you show up, do your reading and complete all the quizzes, exams and the paper you'll succeed.
Professor Jackson is one of the best professors that I have had at Delta. He is super clear and gives you all the materials that you need to succeed. My only advice is to take his class in a forum. I took him in the west forum and my friend who took him in a regular class had a much tougher time than me. Take this teacher!!
One of the best professors I've had here at delta. If you participate in class, he'll remember your name and be even more cool with you (the case with me). Would recommend and take him again. Fun lectures and does not sugar coat things, especially on slavery so it gives us a real look into how everything was.I missed 2 quizzed but I still got A!
All quizzes and exams (including final) are on etudes, and they're all easy. The professor drops the lowest exam score. There will be a research paper in this class, 6 pages, but he only grades on your MLA format. But don't think he won't read through your paper. He's the realest professor you'll ever meet. TAKE GOOD NOTES DURING HIS LECTURES.
Amazing!!!
I seriously Love Mr. Jackson. He cares about his Students, and whether or not the Criteria is being learned, and he will adapt to the class if they do not get something. He always answers questions Honestly, and He goes into a depth in his lectures that I have never seen in other History Classes.
please take this class if want to move on with A.A OR A.S degree because he will make it happen. his tests are straight forward. TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HIM AND AS A STUDENT CONSIDER YOUR SELF THE " LUCKY ONE".
I read all the negative reviews about Prof Jackson and disagree with all of them. Im a white female who took his class and LOVED it. His lectures make the material make more sense, and give it a personal connection. Those who complain its just "black history" well, America is rooted in slavery and also, why is it such a problem to learn about?
Lectures are in campus while homework, quizzes, and exams are open notes online. He gives unannounced class participation points when you show up on lecture for 10pts each, they are very easy. His lectures are clear and not boring, he's the best History professor I ever had and will take him again. Its almost impossible to fail his class.
BEST HISTORY TEACHER EVER! He is so hilarious, almost makes you pee your pants. Don't do anything to make him call you out, it will be embarrassing for you! Super easy, just do the work. Google is your BFF. Only one paper!
Love prof Jackson. He really brings the material to life. Participation mater so be sure to be active in class, also random easy in-class assignments. TURN OFF YOUR PHONE if a phone goes off 3 times the whole class gets an essay. 1 group proj. Exams were 1/2 online and in 1/2 in class. Stay on top of the revel quizzes and you'll pass no problem.
Jackson is by far my favorite teacher Ive had. his lectures are so much better than the book and he keeps you attentive and interacted every lecture. hes super funny and doesnt hide anything. he adds personal stories which are really funny too.
Professor Jackson sets up a fool proof class. If you do the bare minimum of what is required, you'll still pass. The class is super easy, but you still learn so much as Jackson is extremely passionate about what he teaches. 10/10 recommend his forum class. Can't speak for his classroom style, as I've heard mixed things.
Prof. Jackson sets up a history class that can be intresting. He does do participation assignments that you turn in at the end of class. So if you miss class you do not get those points that your missed. Their was only 7 total. By far my favorite history teacher at delta. His forum classes are easy to understand and he relates it to the real world.
Great teacher for history very knowledgable
This is one of the best teacher's I've had so far at MJC. His lectures are inspirational and he really makes you think. He goes by the syllabus so you always know what's going on and the home work is easy. you just have to make sure you read the material. there is only one group project and the tests are only difficult if you don't study.
One of the best Professors at Delta. Amazing lectures. Make sure to do all the quizzes online and come to class for class participation assignments. Doesn't not offer extra credit makes you work for a grade, but still one of the best Professors. Glad I took his class.
At first I was thinking what did I get myself into but it got better. He seemed pretty tough but I get that with 240+ students you have to be. Clear grading system. I maintained an A and I did not have to do final! Spring 2017
I took Professor Jackson during the Spring 2017 semester and it was a good/bad thing. First, let me say that if you appreciate a teacher always being on time to class this is not him. He would be late literally every day, this might be a pro for people out there who are lazy but not for me. Other than that he is a pretty good teacher who i grew to
This teacher makes you think, but don't take his class if you are sensitive to watching videos that show people being treated horribly;(very sad). He does teach very well, but will not tolerate tardiness, so be on time. In my opinion a bit of a control freak. In all ,do all of your work and show up everyday and you will pass.
Took Professor Jackson for a summer course. A lot of work to cram in. He's very clear on what he expects from his students and is strict. Great lectures. Attend all classes and you'll do great.
Professor Jackson is an AMAZING professor. There is a lot of reading involved. If you don't read, don't expect to get a good grade. There is a very clear grading rubric. As long as you do what he assigns, you will be fine. His lectures are very engaging and interesting. I always found myself looking forward to his class. Didn't have to take final!
Good summer school class. It was a hybrid internet/lecture type. Stay on top of work for the textbook, all online. Read all instructions and pay attention, participate and answer questions. He makes history understandable and interesting. You don't get a research paper over the summer. He gave extra credit for staying in class the whole time.
Great teacher but gets side tracked a lot. Funny and his work isn't to hard but he seems like he has better things to do.
Hes a tough grader and when it comes to late work there is none. Hes strict on phone policies and gives random pop quizzes when one goes off. His exams arent difficult just dislike his style of teaching and grading.
Professor Jackson was an amazing professor. He does give pop quizzes if someones phone goes off but Usually it is based off of the material you learned a day or two before. You will only fail if you do not put the effort in! Do the study guides provided and there will be no issues. I did not have to take the final because I had an A!
Good professor. Mostly every thing you need to know is in the syllabus and class schedule. Could've gotten a "B" but I mess around by skipping class and and not being able to do the pop quizzes which are pretty much all in class. He even gives you a study guide for the tests/exams. Overall good professor. Real easy, you just got to commit.
Professor Jackson is a fun, but tough teacher. He is clear when he instructs and will post study guides. He does do pop quizzes, especially if a phone goes off, so make sure to silence your phone!
Don't take this professor in class. If phone goes off, you have to take pop quiz. Also coming to class is pointless because the test only consist of the study guide which are basically terms from the chapter. Just memorize those for the test. There are random in class participation that you must go to or you lose points. Revel quiz are on quizlet.
Jackson is passionate about teaching. He is fair when you put in your work. He kinda holds you to university standards but he is amazing and I learned a lot from him. Made me passionate of African American history.
Professor Jackson one of the best professors I had so far in San Joaquin Delta College. Had him for HIST017B! A lot of studying to do, test are all written so make sure you STUDY and memorize the terms! Revel reading and quizzes are all online. Final was online. Make sure you turn your phone off in class. Loved his lectured, learned so much!
Lots of reading and weekly quizzes. Not that punctual and seemed a bit lazy. Strict on phones. 3 strikes pop quiz. Lectures and films are definitely interesting. More like African American history class. Tests are difficult ,but doable. Study the terms and answer like how he tells you. Do well on first 3 tests so you don't have to take final.
I took this class over the summer, so very fast pace. He is a very fair teacher. Be prepared for lots of homework and daily quiz's on line. He is very passionate about history. Lectures are intense. This class is not boring and will learn alot.
This class requires a lot of reading and the test are mainly written with a few t/f questions all from lecture. It's very easy Prof. jackson makes this class simple and respects all his students. 4 test but only counts 3 high scoring ones to your overall also a lot of Discussions. This class only has 500 points so failing a test can affect ur grade
Professor Jackson is the best history professor at Delta, his lectures were amazing. He's very passionate about history and you can tell from the lectures. Do your work on time and you'll pass the class.
So I chose this instructor based on his rating on here, but don't be fooled by it. He requires a lot of work and his tests are hard including an essay at the end of them and you're not given a lot of time for them. You also buy the online program which isn't even on his tests, it's mostly his lectures.
Rude. Dont take it online because he will never respond and if you do get the chance to ask him questions in person he makes you feel dumb.
Jackson is a solid professor. He makes his lectures fun and interesting. He really got me to appreciate American history more. Yes, if a phone goes off there will be a pop quiz but it is understandable, & as long as the class is respectful to him he is lenient with the phone policy and quizzes. Tests are based on lectures, and the book is mandatory
Prof. Jackson was a great teacher. Though we did get off topic here and there, he made the class enjoyable and made sure you knew what he was teaching. Thus, proving that he cared that you were being successful in his class. He was not lecture heavy but if there was a lecture, there were barley any words, you just have to listen. Overall, A+.
I do not, and have never enjoyed US History. Mr. Jackson's online class meant I could rush through the course as quick as possible and spend the minimum amount of time on it to get an A. There was still lots of work and for me at least it was very tedious. If I'd approached the class differently, I may have found it mildly interesting.
I highly recommend him, hes an amazing and wonderful teacher. 10/10 recommend
Took this class over summer and finished with 100.3%. 4 exams but drops the lowest one and they are easy if you attend lecture. Easy grader on discussions, just complete them. Lectures are online but has in class quizzes, don't miss lecture! People who gave a bad rating didn't do their homework or missed lecture. Half the class got an A.!!
Easy class, do your work and study and you will pass. Great humor and interesting lectures. Don't be an idiot and there will be no issues. Responds to emails quickly and ensures to answer all questions in class clearly. Overall great teacher.
He was very clear with what he expected and what you needed to do to pass the class. He didnt give us a cumulative final, only tested us on the last couple chapters. His lectures were amusing and he knows what hes talking about. I would totally take one of his classes again even though I dont need any more history credits. 10/10 would recommend
I was excited to take this class based on these ratings. He must have paid these guys! I have never had a professor who had to do an explainer video for every assignment, then only to show he can neither spell or type. He talks about black history so much that it is obvious he has reverse prejudice so bad it's ridiculous.
Hes a very firm dude, strict criteria. He is really funny and if you have stupid answers hell call you out on them. I passed with an A! Hes easy but dont skip class to much he does give out pop quizzes!
Professor Jackson is the best professor you can possibly take for History 17A. Most of the work is online, he has heavy lectures, and although attendance is not mandatory he has pop quizzes so be aware. Jackson is very funny and makes the learning material easy to understand. He is very SPECIFIC with directions so as long as you follow, you pass.
Jackon is an AMAZING teacher and made me appreciate American history. Dont listen to the negatives, because they are mostly false or of those who failed. Just show up, listen, and do the homework and youre fine. He makes lectures fun and likes to joke around with students. Totally would recommend to everyone
Although I only passed with a C, Jackson is the best prof I've ever had. He is very specific with instructions and how he grades. I'ts important to not miss a single assignment because each one counts(this was my mistake). He does offer extra credit but do not rely on it(Not much). He also does Pop quizzes about the lectures if attendance is low.
He teaches about places he's gone to & knows about everything he teaches about. He is amazing about making sure everyone knows what is being taught. His teaching style is a little different but I think it's easier to understand. 10/10 would recommend him.
Professor Jackson is very clear-cut on his instructions. I took this course online so it was a breeze. Gives instructional videos and descriptions for assignments if you don't understand how to use Canvas or Revel. I had no issues with this course personally, wish I had taken one of his courses on campus!
I took his class after looking at all the good ratings, and I regret it. I'm a 4.0 student and I'm really struggling in his class. All the work is online and he doesn't say when anything is due in class: EVERYTHING is online. He's very resistant to communication with students and does not seem to be very caring. It's super hard to get a A.
Not accessible outside of class.
Professor Jackson makes class very interesting. I usually fall asleep in my college classes but he made it fun to learn. His classwork is straightforward and the test are fairly easy if you study. On presentations, he is not a harsh grader. One thing about him, he does not tolerate disrespect. Totally recommend, most interesting class I've took.
I took this course to learn more about my heritage, and I needed it to transferhands down one of the best classes I have taken. The lectures are marvelous. Mr. Jackson is hilarious and very passionate when he speaks. Do keep up with your readings and homework, and you will pass.
Great professor!! He definitely takes his class seriously and in helping his students. The lectures are very educational and interesting. As for his exams, they can seem a little difficult due to all the different tasks you have to do but they are an easy A as long as you review your notes. Overall I would recommend you to take his class.
Lectures are pretty laid back, he explains history very well and often plays clips of interesting movies that relate to US history. Yes he is likely a liberal professor but either way this class can still teach you rich history
I am a Highschool student and took his class he's a GREAT teacher makes class really interesting.
Pay attention and take notes on lectures. You'll need this information for the exams. There's 4 exams, but the one with the lowest grade gets dropped. There are pop quizzes from time to time so do not skip lectures. I'm not very fond of history but I found all of his lectures to be interesting. All homework is done online so be weary of due dates.
Easy class, understandable teaches. Just be prepared for Flip Grids
This was an amazing class to take! Professor Jackson is great and the class is overall easy.
Took this class pre-pandemic during the first semester of my freshman year. His classes were chill, mainly consisting of slide show lectures, but the professor himself is pretty funny, keeping the mood light. There are pop quizzes, but exams were online even though class was in person. Online textbook is needed to complete assignments.
I took his class during the fall of 2019. He's a passionate professor. He's very specific on how he wants to run his assignments on canvas. His assignments/ tests are difficult but you need to study. Only flaw is he doesn't give his email out/have office hours for students to ask him questions or talk about their grades. And he does roll calls!
proffesor jackson is one of the best history teachers on campus . he is VERY knowledgable in mexican american history and gave very interesting lectures . all quizzes and tests were based on the lectures he gives daily so i would go to class or get notes from a friend if missed class. 10/10
Prof. Jackson is by far the best history teacher I've had since returning to school. I was put into another professor's class for HIST17A, and I'm struggling. I'm a history major, and hers is my least favorite class; that's saying something. I have requested Prof. Jackson moving forward. Excellent, down-to-earth teacher.
I am going to be completely honest here, this class was not the easiest. I took his online history course and his quizzes were really annoying. They usually contain questions about a video that he assigned and the questions are always out of order. He also creates all the questions on those quizzes, so don't bother looking them up.
Professor Jackson was an awesome teacher, really caring and he has a passion for teaching history. I have learned a lot this semester from Professor Jackson. You need to have an online book and need to listen to the lectures take notes and that's it the answers are all there you just have to work for it. His lectures are very enjoyable.
SO MUCH HOMEWORK! Professor Jackson is helpful & accessible but there is a lot of homework in this course that your grade is entirely dependent on. You can succeed in this class if you put in the work.
Guy's a nut. Ignores a lot of the context behind the history he was teaching and spent very little time if any teaching important subjects like WW1, WW2, and Vietnam. Stated in class one time "I'm not trying to convince you of anything, but I don't think we went to the moon when we said we did." You're better off taking a different professor.
Honestly History is not my favorite subject and I always struggle in history classes. However Professor Jacksons class was great. Of course you have to study in order to passed the exams, but all the material in the exams is cover in his lectures and the readings from the book. If you do all the work and watch the lectures you will be fine.
Heavy workload over summer, but content is not challenging. There are MANY quizzes to this class, but it is important to actually read and do every assignment. The professor is very understanding and quick to respond to emails, and your lowest exam grade gets dropped (so I didn't do the final LOL)
Really easy class. Drops the worst exam grade you have.
An incredible professor. Very little homework that could be completed in less than an hour. And very easy going on exams and essays. As long as you watch and read the required material you will be find. Exams are multiple choice but also have long answer questions and essay prompts. The time limited given is just enough to complete.
Simple class, there is an online textbook that you do not need to buy as long as you complete all of the work and reading during the free trial period. Discussion/response-based assignments, exams with multiple choice and essay questions, the lowest exam score gets dropped. Not a difficult class, the professor has good video lectures.
I took his class (pre-covid) in person and he is a great professor. Passionate about teaching history and grades in a way where you must know the information. Inspirational in the sense that he is humorous yet very professional. I definitely recommend taking his class.
Professor Jackson is one of the best professors in the college. He is very kind and cares about his students. The course consists of discussions, quizzes, and four exams. Exams are difficult if you don't watch his lectures and read the chapters. He is not a hard grader. Take his class, and you will learn a lot about US History.
I recommend taking another Professor because his test were super long and honestly it was unnecessary. They were 50 to 75 questions long. It included multiple choice, free response, short answer, etc. On top of that you have to complete assignments on a third party website where you have to buy an access code.
Professor Jackson is a good professor. Put in the work and be prepared for discussions and test. The class is manageable. However, this is not a class to cruise
Great guy!
Professor Jackson runs an engaging course with fair exams. While there's a decent workload, his video lectures and textbook make the material manageable. For extra study support, I found unstuck study and ChatGPT helpful too. This class is a great option if you're willing to put in the effort.
Guy's a nut. Rarely knows what he's talking about and spent very little time covering important subjects like WW1, WW2, Korea, or Vietnam. Stated in class one time "I'm not trying to convince you of anything but I don't think we went to the moon when we said we did." You're better off taking someone else.
His class was pretty easy not too much work, and really nice professor.
This class is not very difficult, but there is a lot to read. Most of this class is composed of reading the online textbook which you have to buy unless you complete all the assignments in two weeks. 4 tests including the final, with 3 having an essay. About 2-3 assignments per week. He was nice enough to credit me for an exam mistake.
Cool lectures, fair grading and responds to emails
Professor Jackson is professional, kind, and understanding. I've never had such a great professor before. The class is for sure work heavy but it is manageable if you have good time management skills. His exams have a nice format, t/f questions, multiple choice, and a essay prompt. Easiest summer class ever. I would love to be his student again!
The professor is great. I feel like I learned a lot about true history with him during a time that it was taboo to talk about. My grade was a reflection of how much work I put in.
He's really great! the only way you'd fail is if you're lazy 😭 He's funny straight to the point, and just keep up with the assignments and you'll be fine! Teaches some basic things if you've never learned it before or just a refresher. Very sweet teacher would love to retake his course!
