does not know how to write tests, therefore entire class fails, grades papers easy, attendance mandatory

Dr. Petrucci is a very interesting and educated man, but sadly he is basically too smart to be teaching such a basic course. His tests end up being at a much higher difficulty than you could even begin to be prepared for.

likes to subtly talk about himself a lot, but his humorous, too. comes off as difficult but ends up being a VERY easy grader and cancels most future assignments. helps a lot in conferences. i recommend him, overall. i'll be getting an A.

The class is pretty easy but he tends to be strict when it comes to grading.

He's great. His class time could be cut to 30 minutes or less. Grades fair. Intersting past and you'll know all about it. Take His class if you can.

GREAT PROFESSOR! You should definitely drop whoever you might have and get him! I've never liked literature, but I love it in his class. He will work hard to explain anything you need and give great help during office hours. I'm getting my 2nd A in GB!

He doesn't like Auburn or the South. Worships his homeland of Massachusetts and the Greeks. But, despite his past behavior, I believe he has only our best interests in mind.

He is a genious! he opened my mind and we actually had real life conversations. He taught us more than just the importance of literature but value of reading and talking in class instead of just listening.

Dr. P is one of the best Professors at AU. Simply because he understands students. I highly recommend him. Gives Papers and basically gives a due date, turn them in on time and you should make an Easy A or B. First professor at auburn that I met, who actually has a personality.

What in the world is wrong with these reviews? This man was awesome. He was funny, let us out of class alot, made us read only one book and it was a pretty damn good book at that. Ignore those Unhappy faced reviews. I stronly recommend him as the best English teacher I've ever had!

Doc P is an awesome proffesor, he's very misunderstood, but is really a great guy. He doesnt spoon feed you the material, but his handouts alwys explain the requirements for each assignment. If you dont mind a little work and a couple days off to complete your assignments i recommend his class.

Petrucci, is an awesome teacher!!! I really learned a lot and thought that he was an easy grader. He gives you a lot of days off and loves to talk and get to know you! I was really scared of World Literature, and it ended up being my favorite class b/c of him. I would definitely recommend him!

Awesome guy, very funny and laid back, and an easy grader. He cares more about the actual writing than the "rules" of writing. I highly recommend taking Dr. P

Easy teacher, fun class, take him

I liked him a lot, but the class was rather difficult. focus on the papers and you will be fine!

classes aren't too boring, and he loves to give you crossword puzzles. you get them every friday and when you finish you can leave so class only last about 20 minutes on friday. you have essays every week, but they arent intense and his grading is pretty fair. he goes for content and signifiance over grammar. take him!

Overall, I thought a lot of the man. Yes his quizzes are hard, no lie. Being a Harvard graduate and professor he uses words I've never heard of. He's a smart man and I respect him for that. He does insist on getting in study groups to study, I eventually got one together and it really helped! As far as grading papers go, he's fair. I got a B-

I got C in the class, I could have done better. The quizzes are really hard. It'll do you a lot of good if you can get them from someone who's already had him. The questions were short and vague. He had to throw like 2 quizzes out because of the low scores. Overall he's a good guy. He's actually a nice guy, just go for help if you need it!

honestly one of the best teachers ive ever had! we wrote a paper every week but they're always a different form, laid back, and fun. his grading is fair and classes aren't boring. fridays you do crossword puzzles. if you ever have questions, he is always willing to help! he's a very smart man and knows what he's talking about! def. take this class

This was an easy class. My only suggestion is to read the assignments because he gives random quizzes. The question are straightforward if you read. Crossword puzzles on Friday! He gives a week off for each paper to meet with him.

Class was EXTREMELY easy!! He is very laid back and understanding. We did papers about once every one to two weeks, but they were very do-able. He gave a lot of outside help and credited you for going to the English center. Crosswords puzzles every Thursday!One of the easiest if not the MOST easiest in the department! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!

I love Dr. Petrucci! He's a very intelligent, well-read Harvard graduate, so don't think you can get a great grade with mediocre material. However, he's very helpful and willing to work with you. If you have a natural inclination for lit then you should be fine. Just know plot details for the quizzes. USE WHAT HE SAYS IN CLASS IN YOUR PAPERS!

great teacher learned a lot

I love his class. At first he was kind of intimidating but he is so funny once you get to know him. Lets you out of class early a lot of the time. Talks about random stuff but overall is a GREAT teacher. He knows what he is talking about. As long as you follow his examples of papers you should get a good grade. I have gotten A's on all my papers.

Dr Petrucci is a very good prof. He knows what he is talking about and if you follow his guide before you write a paper you are going to recieve a good grade.

A little intimidating at first, but really a funny guy once you get to know him. Put a little effort into your papers and you'll do fine. He even admits he's one of the easiest marks in the English department. Assigns a decent amount of papers, but is definitely willing to work with you if you're confused.

Great Teacher!

My favorite class I've taken at Auburn. The papers you have to write are fun and don't take a lot of time to do and Dr. P is the coolest guy ever. I look forward to going to class for once and he motivates me to want to have a better understanding of English. He's like an intelligent version of Sean Connery.

I LOVE THIS MAN. He is generous with his grading and his assignments are pretty easy. he likes it when the class gets involved in what he's talking about.. sooo just do it.

easiest english class of my life! this man is absolutley hilarious...and is easy to get off track! it is really easy to persuade him into things and you get off class every so often bc he goes on wierd trips. he is a famous poet...and he's always got a comment about everything. oh, and fridays you get to do a crossword puzzle for the entire class..

Absolutely a pleasure to take his class. On several occasions bumped into him a foy and shared a lunch with him and had some fantastic conversations. This guy is one of the few prof. ive had that bar-none enriched me in a manner that will stick with me til the end.

This guy is awesome. He is so sweet and funny. He really wants his students to do well so he cuts people a break. All you have to do is read the texts and write a couple of decents papers. Going to class is mandatory but its ok becuase he makes it fun. I definetely recommend him

I recomend him! He is a really cool guy. He cancels class sometimes and if you go to all the classes and write a few decent papers it should be an easy A or B depending on how quality your work is. He is a great teacher and trys to get you to write relating to your major. He is very very smart and has some published poems and other works.

He is a great teacher! He lets your write about things that deal with your major and cancels class a lot. Also have class in the library sometimes but doesnt take attendance. He is really nice and interesting!

Day one you will walk in and he will scare you to death. He's a Harvard graduate, which is super intimidating but you will soon find out he really is one of the easiest! you write alot of short, easy papers that can easily be used in every day life. Wrote several papers with several gramatical errors and he still gave me an A, and he's hilarious!

Dr. P. is an amazing teacher!!! He is hilarious, you learn so much, and all he really wants is for his students to succeed! He even made it worth while having to walk across campus for class at 6:00pm!!! TAKE HIM! :)

Great teacher! Easy grader, never did anything in class. He rambles on in class, but he's a great guy. If you stay after to talk to him, he'll love you. You choose own topics based on your major. Highly recommend him!

This guy is crazy(in a good way). He is very likable, and he goes off on many tangents during class, so the classes are very much bearable despite it being English Comp. He is very helpful and is one of the few professors that you must have!

Why this guy isn't rated 5.0 is beyond me! The first week or so you may stay the whole time but eventually you'll show up turn in your paper and leave or show up recieve the next assignment and leave. Provide an outline with your paper and use current sources and you should get an A. Also he's an awesome guy to talk to outside of class. RECOMMENDED

I would definitely recommend Dr. P. He is the sweetest guy and the class is relatively easy. All your really do is write, so if you're a good writer it's a breeze. There are certain things he tells you to put in your papers and he looks for those. As long as you put in the effort he'll reward good writing with a good grade. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!!

I really enjoyed this class. I had a few when I took his course and he was kind and accommodating. He cancels class relatively often and his papers aren't too bad since you get to choose your topics. His stories are funny and make class fun. Go to him for help if you need it. Harvard educated and incredibly smart and helpful.

I had him for British Lit course. He is one of the few professors who is flexible and understanding! We only had one essay and the second was optional. I was nervous about taking a lit class but he makes the class enjoyable. Definitely go to him for help!

Dr. Petrucci is an amazing professor; he is very funny and has a lot of good stories. After the first couple of classes he let us out after around 15 minutes, even 5 minutes on a good day. You're only graded on your summaries and paper (no exams) of which you can expect to get an A if you follow directions. Very lenient on due dates. Take him!!!
