Boring. I have to pinch myself to stay awake.

Easy A if you stay awake and takes notes during review session.
Other comments are correct. You DO get great grade if you do the work.
she bores herself, but very easy
no tests, only papers. very easy but boring. mad easy grader

Shes a nice person, helpful, and a good teacher. But her teaching lacks energy
very helpful and nice.
great, really interesting
nice and always able to help, but should make the class more interensting
She really knows her stuff and makes it interesting. I highly recommend.
Funny and simple teacher. Shes not boring, History is. Good Professor.
Awful! Screamed about her ratings in class.
She exceeds excellence in her field...she's the BEST! I highly recommend her!
Easy A. Had her in '93. Best thing is nevr took attendane but knew all the names
has a hard time concealing the fact that she does not know history
great professor, gives great notes and paper assignments a month in advance
Good teacher. Knows her stuff. Lots of notes but easy assignments. Fare grading.
Very helpful: her guidance helps with papers a lot!

Boring!
you'll need to drink 50 cups of coffee to stay awake in her class,
Really nice and helpful. Not the most exciting but good. Good sense of humor.
intelligent, very wise on subject, very helpful definitely u wont regret it!
great professor gives you the questions for essays a month ahead and the final.
REALLY good Professor, highly recommend!
Drink a lot of coffee before you go to her class
Very knowledgeable, u have adapt to her style of teahcing if u do u r fine
Intelligent women, fair/easy exams and papers, and very interesting class!! A++
very good, just take notes, don't obther with the book
hard to not fall asleepwith her monotone voice, other than that very nice prof
history isn't always fun but she is knowladgeable and helpful with papers
it's good she goes slow. don't know waht to concentrate on. confusing
I have graduated a few years ago, but still remember her... Great sense of humor and knowledge of her subject.
Very helpful when it comes to term papers.
She's very easy. Three essays, midterm and a final. she gives you outlines for the essays and basically writes the papers for you! Take her!
Very good professor. explains well, knows what she's talking about, very helpful. do your work and u will get an A.
Just great!
extremely unhappy!!!
Very nice lady, easy grader, helps you write your papars. But bring a pillow to class.
Such a doll! Explains history in an easy to understand manner. Doesn't expect you to love history. Essays are easy, but you have to be thorough! Really nice professor. Available for help whenever you need it.
She makes history very easy to understand, is always available for help and will correct your papers if you hand them in early for her comments, guaranteeing you an A when they're due
My god! Her glasses is just too big and heavy. She teach directly from the book, doesnt know anything by brain! The class is with 30s students, however only 10 show up everyday..so u no how boring she is!!
Ok this prof is unbelievably boring but sweet. All she does is read history facts from print outs, occassionally putting in some additional facts. All you will be doing is writing, writing, and more note writing..Enjoy!
She knows history is boring, so she knows ur bored. But she is knowledgeable. She can make it more interesting, but its her style. easy grader, big glasses, which makes the class more interesting. Take her, easy A. Just bring a pillow to class :-D
Bring a pillow to class and bring a pillow for your pillow. She is not an easy grader at all, so don't listen to people claiming easy A's. She is nevertheless fair and gives good preperation for papers and exams. Fair class.
I just love Alberi, she's an excellent teacher, extremely helpful and interesting, doesn't give you too much work at all and is kinda lenient with due dates, TAKE HER!!
She's a good proffesor! She's very helpful, looked over my paper as a first draft, and corrected a lot of mistakes. She's quiet type, but good lectures, very clear, take good notes, and do the reading. Listen in class...you'll do good, also very calm.
She's a great teacher! She'll always help you out with any problem you'll have in class and will go over everything you don't understand.
3 papers, an exam, and final. However, she's a difficult grader. Definitely try to finish your paper early and let her make comments on it.Overall a very nice person.
Great proff! I really liked her. Really nice and willing to help. She looked over every single one of my papers before I handed them in. Go to class, take notes, read and have her look at your papers. Should get a good grade
Very cool class. Take notes, she's awesome. Might get a bit boring sometimes but that's ok since she's awesome.
Very straight forward, attendance not required ! Just write short papers verbatim from notes.
She is an excellent professor. Pay attention, take good notes..you will be fine. No homeworks, just need to write three or four essays in the entire semester. Very helpful..knows what she is talking about and respects everyone's opinion. She is just great. I dont think anyone in our class got anything lower than a B. Excellent!!!!
Dr. Alberi's lectures are very clear and the readings are interesting. Tests are straightforward, but she's a meticulous grader when it comes to papers. Try to use her office hours for help. She's very thorough. Take a lot of notes in class. Sometimes she has a sense of humor with her sarcastic remarks. Highly recommend her.

Very interesting class, but a bit hard. You do get to redo papers, so thats a plus.
I enjoyed her class. Some find her boaring but she makes the topic more interesting. She's funny, and very clear. I would suggest this professor to anyone.
Dr. Alberi is nothing short of extraordinary. She is very passionate about the subject matter and is always available for help. The coursework is not a lot, but she can be harsh on papers. When writing papers, it's best to follow her notes. Some find her voice monotone, but if you really listen, you'll find the Medieval World quite fascinating.
my fav professor i think. she's really into what she teaches and you can tell she wants you to learn and understand. very laid back, nice, doesn't deal w/ bs though. makes you want to know more. excellent. take you if you ever get a chance.
Terrific Professor!!! She's nice and funny in a Medieval kind of way, all prior comments are true, however people are overating her "Easiness." She's a harsh grader. Very critical on papers. Doesn't really give A's until you rewrite. Be prepared to do some serious editing. Follow through on her comments and she'll count your best grade.
I've got C+ from this class. However, I'd still strongly recommend her. I could understand every single thing she said.
One of the laziest professors I have ever met. Grading system is choppy, but exam questions are given ahead of time. Recommended if you want a B/B+ for little effort.
OVERALL: 9.5/10 CONS: TENDS TO BE MONOTONE AT TIMES (PROS): EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT COURSE MATERIAL, EXPLAINS IN DETAIL, MAKES JOKES, DOESN'T MAKE ATTENDANCE MANDATORY (TRUSTS U TO MAKES SURE U PASS), LAID BACK STRESS FREE TEACHING STYLE VERY ENJOYABLE.. NOT A SHOW OFF .. QUITE MODEST EVEN THOUGH SHE IS SO SMART
Amazing professor. She's so smart that you don't even realize how smart she is. Likes kids who have questions. If your writing is organized and you know how to actually write a paper you will do fine. Do the readings. She's really funny too if you catch it.
This was a course on the crusades. Class itself: Easy, doesn't take attendance at all, boring sit there , chill back, relax. Work Wise: 2 papers, 1 midterm, 1 final. Really critical of papers. Buying the books wasn't necessary. The papers was the only tedious part. Her notes are all over the place. Take this class if you like to do nothing in class
Class is boring . It's up to the students to make it interesting. I chilled on my laptop most days. BUT, learned a lot through 4 papers (1 in, 3 out, of class) and she allows rewrites. Show interest and work hard and you'll get an A. I visited her during office hours at end of semester. She is actually a cool person-- wanted me to get A and learn.
She's awesome, sarcastic and funny. Her class is very boring at times and you have to bring your laptop to keep yourself from sleeping. Take good notes on the readings and you'll ace the papers.
Wonderful teacher. Very nice, understanding, slightly humorous.
Professor Alberi is a sweetheart. I'm constantly amazed by how much she knows and shares. I can see how people would say that she's boring, but if you're interested in the subject then you'llhave an amazing time with her. Very sarcastic and funny but must pay attention to catch it. I'll definitely take another class with her.
Boring at times. Easiest A- of my life.
Dr. Alberi is one of the best professors I have ever had. If I studied Medieval history as my focus i would take her all the time. Her classes are challenging but it is worth it - i learned so much, and she really cares about students learning. Rewrites help your writing too - i learned a lot from her comments.
Seminar to historiography. 1 Paper (8-10 pages) 1 Midterm. Oral Report on your paper topic. Easy Class, we just sit there and listen to her teach. At the end of the semester she ran out of things to teach and simply dismissed us from class. Take her classes if you don't like to do anything and just want to chill.
She's AWESOME! She has kept my interest and knows her stuff. Highly recommended!
Exciting!
Extremely passionate about Medieval Studies. In Historiography she makes clear that her goal is to prepare you for your HIS 499 Thesis. She liked my work and said I have a solid research foundation for my HIS 499 paper. She will work with you to polish your topic and your argument. Numerous rewrites are a necessary. Dr. Alberi is very helpful.
There is no homeworks, midterms, or finals. Just four opinion essays and each essay is 2 pages long and you have 2 tries. Easy A in the class
Professor Alberi is one of my favorite professors at Pace. She doesn't really take stupid comments lightly, but that's part of her charm. If you're acting like a fool in her class, she'll call you out for it. But she is clear in all her class instructions, is great with Blackboard, and an all around good professor. She is engaging as well!
She was such a great professor. Doesn't take stupid comments very well and she knows her Roman History. Late work is accepted and she allows you to rewrite essays for a higher grade. The midterm and final were take home papers and we had weeks to do them. Such a great professor and so funny. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Rarely provides feedback on work submitted very unclear grading system, if you are a history major she might be for you but she has an expectation that you already know most of the material
I had a bad experience a couple semesters ago with the this class; she had a habit of changing The reading announcements really close to the due dates. The main problem was that the grading system was subjective I ended up retaking the course and submitting the same assignments to another professor and that professor gave me a B+ ENOUGH SAID
Calling it a tough class is an understatement, Prof. Alberi is decent about putting stuff on blackboard but when it comes to class, if you don't understand it the first time she's not taking questions, if you wanna pass you pretty much have to learn it all on your own.
Very unclear, the majority of her lectures follow a scattershot approach with no real direction or goal, she grades harshly and is extremely strict with deadlines dispute never providing any feedback on how to improve.
I took her last semester, it's not the hardest class I'v taken but she leaves a lot to ask when it comes to teaching anything avoid her like the plague
Professor Alberi is an excellent professor. Her lectures are very informative. She has the ability to break down the information effectively. Her assignments are very easy and she is very helpful. I truly recommend her because you will learn something from the class. For those who give her a bad rating are LAZY (why do you attend college?) !!
This class was extremely easy and very informational. We only had to do three 3 page papers and she was a charming prof
Professor Alberi is very kind and understanding. There are only a few short papers, of which she gives good feedback and allows you to rewrite them for a better grade. There is only one book which was not very expensive but very interesting. Her lectures are interesting and clear. The class is not very difficult. Definitely, RECOMMEND to take.
Great professor. Definitely take if you have the chance, fair grader doesn't assign a lot, and she allows you to rewrite the papers. Class is not that hard, show up and give it your best effort. Definitely recommend one of my favorite professors at Pace so far.
Amazing Professor. Is extremely well read about roman history. 3 papers in total. Papers are graded fairly and gives you chance to redo them. 10/10 would recommend.
