Very pleasent and always willing to discuss course material.
I found that reading the study guide thoroughly was sufficent. Tests can be difficult.
Tests extremely difficult and not comprehensive. Only a small percentage of the class understands.
She's a little loopy. Probably pretty cute in her day though. Material was easy, she was fair enough.
She is a VERY horiable teacher. She is not comprehensive and does not understand how fast she went through the course. No one in the class passed. With a typical exam, 10% got A's which was only 7 out of 70 or so. I suggest you taking this class at OCC
She was very unclear when explaining the material. Her study guides were good but, did not really help for her difficult exams
She is awful. Never really goes through the material at a reasonable rate. You have to put in more hours studying outside of class than needed to just pass the test.
Didn't order books for class until 3 days before, then ordered too few and screamed at students who didn't come prepared. Boring lecture that has nothing to do with the hard tests. Avoid if possible, if not, stay out of her way.

i would not reccomend this teacher to my worst enemy!that is how terrible she is!! she is very hard. she jumps into things too fast and skips a lot. she gives study guids, but they dont correspond to the test! this class and teacher made me change majors.

I think shes a good teacher
she is absolutely horrible, she unorganized,and ver hard to understand. She is so smart,and know the material so well that she has no way of teaching the material. she has this horrible starrng problem. good luck if you take her clss you will need it.
She is hard its only suppose to be a 100 level class and she teaches it like we should have learned this all in high school it seems easy then you take the test and its like wow its a crazy class

Worst teacher I've ever had. Does not explain the material well, unaproachable, test questions are retarded and do not accurately assess knowldege of material. Avoid taking her at all costs.
Talk about nap time. My first 3 weeks she makes u fall asleep. Her notes do not seem to be covering the readings very well. The first test about 75 percent of the class failed. So my advice: RUN AWAY!!! AS FAST AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!!
she is very helpful if you GO TO HER. she seems really crazy at first, and is very flighty with her thoughts-she isnt always there. if you study hard and know the material it isnt too bad, but u have to put the effort in it or youll fail for sure.
She's by no means an easy teacher.. but you pay attention in class and study the study guides exactly, then you will have no problem ace-ing the class. I think she's a good teacher- just stay on top of things.

This professor integrates both her lecutre notes as well as the text. If you think of the topics on a broader scale than exams are pretty simplified. She allows text and notes for the exam, so there is NO reason to fail. Benificial to attend office hours!
Very difficult exams, fail one and you're pretty screwed as there's nothing for points but exams. Study the notes every single day or by exam time they're 30 pgs or more + text. Seemed kinda crazy too...Not a good class for a first semester student.
Very flightly, and usually runs over the time limit for class. Tons of work, plus two lab books, that arent worth anything for points. Got really embarassed during the female reproductive, it was so funny.
Shes nuts. Easily embaressed when it somes to reproductive systems. Her review sheets are not whats on the tests(Very hard). Lectures are pointless. She also stops talking and gives you a dirty look if you get up to use the bathroom.
Worst class ever taken. She is so extremely boring, when she answers questions she gives you this look as if to say what a dumb thing to ask. Lab was extremely pointless and not very helpful or clear outside of class. DO NOT TAKE!!!

Do anything you can to get a diff prof!She is not nice,she yelled at me on the 1st day because I didn't know how to go about adding a class(I was a transfer student)Her lectures are not very clear, you never know what she'll test you on.She's just spacey.
SHE knows what she is talking about, but nobody else does...she is nice, you just have to know how to talk to her (she has her own little cooky way!) I would not suggest taking her though...I worked REALLY hard just to end up with a 3.0!!!
Took this class during the summer semester and it still wasn't too bad. She hands out her notes beofore the lectures and gives pop-quizzes for extra credit points before exams. Sometimes unclear, but the book can clarify. Good prof.
You need to be willing to work hard in the class. She often confuses herself and teaches at a much to advanced level for a 100 level course. GO TO CLASS...or you won't make it through the class becuase the book is somewhat confusing!
Very difficult professor. She has horrible notes and everything you discuss will be on the exams. The most in depth material are on her tests. Her test questions are very unclear and comfusing. Do not take her. You'll be in for it!
DON'T TAKE THIS TEACHER !!!!!!! Not only is she very hard but she is uncaring and cold. In winter 04 she had a class that was about 150 students and she failed or gave low grades to 70 of them.I am now taking this course again along with many others.

Dr. B is a bit quirky. It isn't impossible to do well in her class, but you do need to put the effort into understanding the material because she isn't very clear-cut. If nursing's your major, take B. for BIO 111 because you're going to have to take her for 121 and you might as well get used to her.
This course is in great detail. She is good tescher but her exams are hard. But if you study her notes and exam review sheet, you may survive.

Class takes a lot of work but I learned a lot. She has a look in her eyes like shes crazy, but seems nice enough.

Her tests are never what you expect them to be - always focused nearly 100% on something that was barely covered. Notes are decent and well organized, but she cannot answer questions in class too well. I went every day, read the entire book and still got a C. I am retaking this course...

I do not recommend this class to any one. Not even those looking for a challenging Bio class, it is not worth it. She expects you memorize the text book and then some. How much ever you study, be prepared to get a lower grade than you anticipated. Be prepared to retake this class for your GPA.

Her tests consisted of 50% easy questions, and many difficult questions. For a 100 level class, 80% of the questions should be easy, and the rest should be of medium difficulty. I don’t recommend this professor.

Yes she is crazy...you don't need to go to class b/c the book is easy easier to understand and follow. Her notes don't cover half of what is on the tests and the tests are super hard unless you study a lot. Overall she's not too bad except for the fact that she's a crazy ****.
She is a bona fide fruitcake, but that's what makes the class interesting. Her tests are very fair; no surprises and nothing she didn't cover. Yes the class is tough and fast paced, but if you take good notes and read the material you should be fine. Don't take unless you're a bio major.

Put your time into studying, pay attention in class, use the study guide notes for the tests and you will be fine. If you have questions, see her during her office hours, she offered me all the help I needed.
Class is pretty hard recommend read the book because her lectures only cover about 60% of the tests so jus do fair on the test and really good in the lab and u will get a good grade.. She is pretty nuts tho... total random teacher

Take her in the spring, she will let you use your notes and open book, she is very lax. She gives 14 quizes a semester on a video she shows, but they are so eawsy. I ended up with a 3.8 in the class, i'd be disappointed with less than that especially considering that the exams and final were open everything!
Bednarski is a great teacher. I learned so much and got an A. The people who don't like her are the ones who did not go to SI and did not read the book or study. You have to study and SI is a huge help, but Bednarski was always willing to answer question. Remember, this is a 100 level class and it is meant to weed out the slackers.

She doens't give a**** about her students or their grades, she has a huge failing rate. Hse makes it almost impossible to good becuase she covers so much at once, without teachign it well, and her tests are ridiculous
Terrible teacher! Always late to class, looks like she rolled out of bed, took a shot, and jumped in her car. Very often there were things not covered at all that appeared on test. Is not leanient at all for missing tests. Be prepared if you must take her at all!
I recommend going to the SI sessions if you want to do decent. only 30% of my class got a C and higher so maybe you should just avoid her at all costs
She covers a TON of material, and then her test questions are VERY specific. Studying my notes, or her notes for tests was not helpful. You basically have to memorize the book. Most of the class was failing.

Dr. Bednarski is highly intelligent and completely wacky. Her lecture was always entertaining but her notes were completely useless for her tests. A previous comment said it best...you basically have to memorize the book to to well on her exams. She teaches 200 level courses at a 400 level. Be warned.
I had this crazy woman for 111 and should have waited for a different prof. She is absolutely imposible. She tries though, if you go to her office or ask questions in class shes more than happy to answer them..... unfortunately she rarely gets around to answering the actual question whilst shes veering on her tangent. If you don't do well with her you aren't going to do well in graduate school. Get over it. She's helpful if you know how to approach her. I've had 111, 207, and 322 with her. Got a 3.7, 4.0, and 4.0 respectively. Yes you have to read the book, but the professor is not there to teach you everything.
She is not only confusing, but she talks in circles and she avoids answering students questions. Also, her test questions have nothing to do with her lecture.
Her lectures are always a lot of fun to go because she is crazy but they are meaningless. Study everything on the review sheet and you will be fine. Although her exams are very specific. She is helpful if you ask questions at the end of class. Get over the fact that everyone says she is hard and just study and you will pass.
Good professor who encourages her students to work hard. The material is difficult, but interesting. Everything you learn is necessary because it will be needed for higher level classes or grad school.

There is no way to study for her tests. Her review sheets are no help, read EVERY single page in the book and you will pass. She's very confused and strange.
I don't know a lot about anatomy or the terms, so it was bad that I could tell when she was making mistakes. She is a space cadet. She gets upset when students come in late, I can't blame her for that. However, she also gets upset when students ask questions. If we asked a question everytime we needed to clarify something, we would talk as much
Exams are pretty hard, lab exams are easy. Long, boring lectures & never lets you out early. It is hard to pay attention to her because of her voice & facial expressions. She gets off topic frequently & skips information. Sometimes gives wrong information.
Bednarski is ditzy, NOT clear about expectations and labs are totally useless!!! I had her for Anatomy and felt that I learned more from my high school A&P... awful professor.....
What a freaky lady!!! This woman comes to class high on drugs everyday, so it seems. Her tests are near impossible, and it seems no matter how hard you study, you fail. If at all possible, take a diff professor... they need to get rid of her.

Prof. Bednarski teaches a class considered by many to be very difficult. In my opinion, her teaching this class convinced me to become a biology major. The class is very tough and reading the textbook as well as attendance are necessary for a good grade. Also make sure you do the lab reports (they are easy and little) and take detailed notes.
Awesome prof. Her lectures are off of a very organized powerpoint taken right from the book. If you read the book and review her notes you'll get all A's. Plus she gives extra credit quizzes at her lectures, so go to class! Expect to study because the class isn't easy, but she is very helpful and wants her students to succeed.

This class isnt as hard as everyone made it out to be. The lab exams are pretty easy as long as you study. The lecture exams are harder. Study from the book and power point notes because it is hard to stay awake during lecture.Dont bother buying the $40 dollar CD's because you can definetly pass the class with out them.Take another prof if u can!
I love this professor. If you go to her she will explain any and everything. As long as she see that you are trying you will be fine...she's soooo sweet

I walked into her lab one day for class and she told me to leave because I had interrupted her (class hadn't started yet, mind you - 15 minutes early I'd say). I had to join a different section because she was confused. all her tests have nothing to do with things from lab or class. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE if you can, she's totally crazy.

Suck it up! I took this class last semester & it was not that bad. Read the book, do the extra credit worksheets, go to class, & study. You actually have to study in a college class, who would have thought? Don't go to graduate school if you can't get an A. Ask her for study sessions when you need them. I got a 4.0 but I studied my butt off.

Mary is not a good teacher. But she is the only one who teaches bio 121 so if you want to get into nursing you've got to pass her class. Don't get behind the reading and memorize all the coloring book diagrams for the lab tests. It is possible to do well in her class with a lot of hard work.
I personally got along with her great. I studied very hard and made sure to keep up with all the material. This is a TOUGH class and she can be a bit quirky. But she provides you with plenty of material to get a good grade. If you don't use those resources, your going to struggle. She's a nice person and was always very helpful.

She is crazy. Avoid her at all costs. The class is very difficult but if you work your butt off, you can make it. I got a 3.6 so it's possible. Double check your grades tho, cuz she screwed up a lot of final exam grades.
Professor Bednarksi is extremely brilliant. Yes, this class is more difficult than some, but it is completely possible to do very well in the class. She is more than willing to offer help outside of the classroom and even offered extra credit points before each exam. If you are looking for just an easy class, than maybe this isn't the one for you.

I thought she was joking when she suggested dropping the course if you had anything else going on in your life or were taking any other classes. I should have listened to her advice, would have saved me over $1000.00 that I lost in tuition. Oakland needs to hire another professor who is capable of teaching this course.
Don't listen to the terrible comments! I read these same ones prior to the class and enrolled anyway and I got an A with barely any work! Go to class, listen, and keep up with the reading in the textbook (do the worksheets she gives you, they are extra credit) and you're fine. Inherently a lot of material but great class! Powerpoints are helpful.

Professor Bednarski is not as terrible as everyone says. I took this class with a different teacher before taking it with Bednarski and I raised my failing grade up to a B. She even puts the whole lecture on powerpoint and posts it online if you miss class. Nice lady just a little loopy. Take her, study lecture and end of each chapter to do well!
Don't listen to the scare tactics. This class is definitely do-able if you put some effort into it and study. You get out of it what you put in. If you are going into nursing please see the worth in this course as pertaining directly to your future career. Bednarski is a little loopy but knows what she's talking about.

Wow, for an intro course, it is an overwhelming amount of info. to remember. The professor is a little bit crazy. Don't worry about all the comments. She's really not that bad. You do need to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING...you need to read the ENTIRE BOOK and do your COLORING WORKBOOK, she does offer extra credit for lecture/lab/and more.

she's not the best teacher i've ever had, that's for sure. she's... weird. i like her teaching MUCH better in labs than in lecture. this class has an insane workload, don't take her if you have no previous anatomy background, you'll struggle.
I am currently in this course and I am sure she is a very knowledgable woman, but it seems her teaching days need to end. She gets lost in her own train of thought. She doesnt ever respond to emails with important questions. She pops into lab and scolds students for wrong answers, she doesnt try to teach so we can learn.

Her lectures are aweful, half of the time she doesn't know what is she talking about. I like the lab very much because of the T.A. My T.A was indian girl name Sejal and she did awesome job in teaching and she was cool too. I hate lecture and did not learn anything from professor.

Her lectures are useless. There are many surprises on the test. If you want to do good, you have to teach yourself and memorize the chapters from the textbook.

A veritable battle-ax with no sympathy. Unaccommodating to students, especially in the wake of O.U.'s recent faculty strike: gave students no direction whatsoever during the strike, yet lambasted them for not having begun studies when classes resumed. PATRONIZING: treats students in her lab like preschoolers. Knowledgeable, but very disrespectful.
She says you need to live and breath, eat and sleep anatomy and this is true. The only people who complain about this professor are the one's who don't do their work. She is knowledgeable, helpful, and intense. Her attitude is taken for disrespect, but really she has no time for ?'s you could answer yourself if you read directions, or the book.
Clinical anatomy and physiology is a tough subject altogether so no matter who your instructor is-you have to work hard and be a good student. Dr. Bednarski is a wonderful proffessor! i truly enjoyed having her! she explains the material well and is a very sweet woman! she will hold you acccountable to your work and will push you to be responsible.
great professor. Many classmates didn't like her, but they didn't do the work. She was a fair grader and there were never any surprises on her exams
Very hard professor. You're better off staying home and reading the book/teaching yourself than attending lecture. She is a nice lady but she doesn't know how to teach. Tests are VERY hard and none of it relates to her confusing power point slides.
I liked her class a lot. (Maybe that's because I don't like teachers that "spoon feed" to college students...) I'm a little worried about my chosen profession (Nursing) when so many students need object to being asked to study!...If in trouble, just take time to talk with her after class and get some tips...
She is absolutely crazy. Was NEVER on time, as in, 10 to 15 minutes late for an hour long class. Her lectures are broad overviews for tests that cover minute details. Be prepared to teach yourself absolutely everything. She tends to test over things that she never even mentioned in class, so be sure to use your book. A lot.
Plain and simple, Bednarski's a fruitcake. I would not be surprised if she were taking Valium or some other downer. It's a tough class, so hope that you get a great lab TA and READ THE TEXTBOOK! Do the questions at the end of each chapter; she uses them on her tests. Even though she's completely bonkers, she's pretty cool outside of class.
lectures are useless, BUT the tests are NOT difficult. If you simply READ the chapter (not study, just READ) you should be fine. For every exam I did nothing more than skim the chapters then look through the chapter review for a few hours the day before the exams and I came out with a 3.6. There's a ton of extra credit too, though I didnt do any.
While I'm sure that Prof. Bednarski was a great professor in her day, I strongly suggest that she retire. Her grasp of the information is still strong, it's her ability to teach that information to others that concerns me. Her train of thought is derailed before it leaves the station, leaving the student who asked for clarification stranded.
oh.my.gosh. i have nothing positive to say about this "professor" lectures are pointless. read the book, teach yourself the chapters and memorize them. lab tests are scanned diagrams from the coloring books. which you label. spelling counts. good luck. your gonna need it.
When you take the lab with this class. STUDY all the diagrams from the coloring book because they are the exact copies on the lab exams. I hated her lecture exams because she was never clear on what to study from. She definetly has some sort of personality disorder and can be very rude, where other times she was sort of friendly.
Dr. Bednarski isn't the greatest professor and she can be very rude, especially if you aren't understanding the information. Personally, I think she singles people out and can be a bit degrading. But, as for the class, the labs aren't hard, memorize the pictures in the coloring book, her lab exams are always a surprise. She focuses on minor details

She is a nut! Although attendance isn't mandatory she does give out extra credit. You will need the extra credit so make sure you do it all. but if you ask her SPECIFIC questions about what is on the tests, she will tell you... Also, if you ask her for help, she will help. It is not easy, but it's the LESSER of three evils for PHYS profs...
She really isn't as bad as everyone says she is. She gives a lot of extra credit and i found the tests to be kind of easy as long as you read the chapters and go over her slides. The labs are super easy and the lab exams take a lot of studying but the pictures are the exact ones out of the coloring book. keep up on the work and you will do fine
I love this lady! She is so nice and can be really funny too. She knows what she's talking about but sometimes has a hard time communicating difficult concepts. However, if you talk to her one on one she clarifies everything very well. Overall, she was a great professor. i would love to take her again! Curves on tests are pretty big, labs are easy

She was an ok teacher, she teaches from powerpoint slides and the exam questions are partially from the powerpoint and most of the questions are from the book, so you have to read the book to survive. If you do the reading, the exams are not that hard.
you do need to look at the stuff in her powerpoints and to better comprehend it look in the book for further explanation. She has questions on the test from the back of the book and for the lab part just study the diagrams they are exactly like the coloring book. I got a 3.4 so I could do it and so can you.
Hard class but is possible to do well in if you try very hard. Must devote time to this class. Bednarski is nice if you get to know her.

Very good anatomy professor. if you want to pass exams study powerpoints and review questions at the end of each chapter in the book. for lab exams study EVERY diagram and you will get a 100%.
Lectures are boring and hard to pay attention to but GO for the worksheets they're extra credit and you'll need it. She knows a lot about a&p but can't lecture well. Read the chapters, study power points, practice quizzes from text book online and you should do fine..it takes effort but it's all interesting information and worth knowing
Not worth it. This woman never finished her thoughts and was exceptionally boring. The only good thing is the extra credit she handed out. I studied extensively for each test, but they were just overly difficult. Never again. DONT TAKE HER
Her exams are very hard. She donest explan things clearly. One day she comes to class all happy and nice. another day comes to class mean and RUDE. she can be very Rude. I highly dont recommend her. I got a 3.3 in the class and I studied all from the book and it was all my effort not her teaching! DONT TAKE HER.
She did not deliver the lectures clearly and she was off the subject repeatedly. she seemed moody at times and can be disrespectful. the exams did not match her level of knowledge transfer. I do not recommend her for this class.

In all it was a disappointment. To say her lectures are "rough" would be an overstatement. I love the material and ended up with a good grade, but she is incredibly difficult to follow. Oftentimes I was left confused after lectures. Plenty of extra credit and slack with a curve...
Very hard to follow. I came into the class interested in the subject and left very frustrated with it all.
She often rambled off topic for a while. Half of the things she said would be on her tests weren't. The only good part about this class was the lab test. The TA was very nice and helpful. Overall I would not recommend her. Some test questions she never introduced us to.
Very hard professor to follow. She often gets off topic with the lectures. Her tests are very hard. She gives out a lot of extra credit, so going to class is kind of helpful. Reading the book and printing off the notes don't really help your understanding of the class. I would recommend not taking her.
She's a brilliant NUTBAG. She's incredibly spacey and her tests were brutal, lectures were boring, and her tests came more from the book than lectures...my saving grace in the class was the extra credit worksheets and articles, so GO TO CLASS and suffer through her insanity to get them, or don't take this class until you have time to study a ton.
Hard teacher. Do not take this class with another science. I did have to withdraw because it was to much. She does know what she's talking about but isn't to clear about what she wants from students. All test questions are on end of chapter questions and lab test is all spelling. Ton of extra credit though and she is kinda funny.
I received a 3.6 in this class, all due to reading the book and spending atleast 20 hours a week studying. Attendance isn't mandatory but she gives extra credit sheets which is what helps. Very willing to meet to discuss grades and progress. This class is possible! I took it with CHM 201 & PHL 102 & worked 25 hours a week. You can do it! :)
She gives the driest lectures you will ever attend, she seems confused every day. You get nothing out of her lectures and the PowerPoints are bloated and useless. Go to class for the extra credit alone, they will help! Exams are difficult, but she curves them. Take her only if you must, I scraped by by doing minimal effort, but not very informative
She must be on drug! Was very rude and couldnt teach the class to save her life! I am retaking this class with yates and have already seen over 10 classmates that were in her class when I took it!
The worst teacher I ever had. She didn't explain things well and you never knew what was going to be on the exams. She didn't respond to emails so it was hard to contact her.
This professor was disrespectful to students, refused to answer questions, handed out the incorrect syllabus and refused to correct it or answer any questions regarding dates,she read off of slides and that was it. By far the least helpful or knowledgeable instructor I have had. She should review the definition of "teacher"
Professor Bednarski is actually a very smart person. She is good at what she does. All of the comments on here saying shes a bad teacher are because the students didnt try hard enough to get a good grade on their own and they wanted to blame the professor for it. YOU MUST study out side of class, and if you do you will be fine!
She's terrible! A crazy old lady that can be funny at times, but her teaching is horrid! She's confusing and doesn't know how to answer questions. You ask her a questions and she says, "What? I don't understand....I still don't understand." Study a lot!! Not much of a high curve at all! Do not take her if you value your life! You will regret it!

Doesn't explain content clearly.Tells you what you need to study for the test, but come test time,nothing she told you is on the test.She has her TA's grade the lab exams.Lab exams aren't graded consistently or fairly.TA's frequently graded incorrectly and Bednarski wouldn't correct their errors. Had to retake the class because of it. DO NOT TAKE.
Horrible. She's rude, told us all that we would fail and that we should all drop the class. They need to fire her because with her the fail rate at Oakland will increase. Her power points are useless and so is the book. You have to try and teach yourself on your own.
Great professor but its a hard class if you show her that you are putting the effort she will help you out. If you don't she won't care about or your grade
Probably the worst professor I've ever had at OU. She's crazy and goes off topic way too much. She's not an impossible prof, but you definitely need to self teach to do well in this class.
If you do poorly in this class it is not Bednarski's fault, it is your own. She is always willing to help you out if you ask for it and her attendance quizzes are great. Read the topics that she lectures on in the books and read the topics in the study guide and you will be fine. If you work for a 4.0 you will receive one.
You have to put the work in to get the grade you want! It is not an easy class, but a absolute must for future nurses!
Do not take this class with Bednarski. If you are registered for it winter 2015 drop immediately. There are 120 students in the course originally everyone dropped except 26 students. The class average is a 47%. PLEASE do not waste your time or money in this class. I am a 3.93GPA student and I am failing this course. Take this class with Yates at OU
I am a 3.0 student and got a 4.0 in this class. Although she may not be super clear in lectures she is always willing toavailable to help you. She wants her students to do well. She offers extra credit attendance quizzes that she adds onto your test scores which can raise them up to 11%! It's impossible to fail. Show you care and you'll do well.
What can I say? She is a horrible teacher. She has a sweet personality though. The only thing that helped was the iclicker and the pop quizzes. She doesn't know how to clarify the information. She read straight off the power point. She tells you one thing on the test and something else appears that you didn't even go over in class is on the exams.
She is very knowledgeable about physiology but she is all over the place. She is very hard to follow sometimes. Always double check your quizzes and test she is not a good grader. I was getting the question right and she would mark it wrong. She is not very nice when it comes to getting her to correct it. Would def not take her classes again..
She will tell you what to study for the exam if you explicitly ask her. The lectures are very boring and will probably allow you to get distracted easily, and I found I had to teach myself the material outside of class. The exams are difficult and expect you to remember many details. I felt I may have been successful if I had a different professor
She is good, start a dialogue early in the semester and utilize your TA!!! This class just has a lot of information and requires an unbelievable amount of study time, so plan an easy semester and focus on this course. She knows a lot about what she is teaching and has a lot to offer, so come to class well read! come to class, do well in the lab!!
There are 4 tests per semester. Each chapter she hands out worksheets in which you can turn in to receive points toward that test, around 1-2 points per sheet. That's the good. Other than that her teaching style is out of date and does not know the new material that the books PowerPoint's are presenting. Late to class a lot. Never answers emails.
Took this class with CHM 201, writing intensive, and PSY 100 and I earned a 4.0. Go to class, you can get extra credit points that can brings your test score up a LOT. She doesn't do emails but does phone calls and will always make herself available in her office. You'll get what you put in. Show some respect and effort and you'll be just fine.
She is very knowledgable and caring. If you don't understand something she is more than willing to help. Exams are pretty much based off of power point notes. Make sure you go to every class because she gives out work sheets that add points to your exam scores. I would definitely take her again.

I did not enjoy taking this class at all with Professor Bednarski. She would read lectures directly from a powerpoint, failing to explain the material. She gave out 4 exams and some weekly quizzes.
Unclear w/ her expectations&reads off 50 slide ppts. A ch per class. my peers&I asked q's while doing in-class worksheets, she said: well you should know that since I said it in the lecture. we have to consult google or the tutoring center. Allows 5x8 card for exams. Noncumulative final. open note quizzes, correct points added to exams. 2 papers.
Expect her to be AT LEAST 10 minutes late for class every day. The lectures and powerpoints are inconsistent with the textbook, and the exams cover the most obscure facts from the readings. It's insanely difficult to motivate yourself to go to this class, since the lectures are so boring. Would not recommend.
Retook this class for a better grade after taking it with Bahskaran and actually did worse. i am very serious about my studying but the study guides were given too close to the exam for them to be helpful. too much information, too little time; especially if you're taking it along with chem 201 and other nursing prereqs.
Do not take her under any circumstances. i now know better , and i wish i had someone to warn me like im warning you. you will literally end up teaching yourself and crying with a big bucket of ice cream. you have been warned.
She is a professor that reads of her powerpoint slides the whole hour or so of class. I recommend just studying the whole chapter and you will do well enough in the class. She curves the test very nice so that if you get a "C" you basically get an "A". The reviews are not really similar to the test so just study the whole chapter.
She reads from the powerpoint and is always super slow. Takes her one class period to do 20 slides, and each chapter is about 50 or more slides. Would not take her ever again. She does offer extra credit but only if you come to class. Her exams are not what is in the slides, mostly what is in the book. She makes review guides but they are pointless
Walked in her class, listened to her for 10 minutes, read her rating on here, dropped the class and left. NO THANKS, NOT TODAY. She was already irritating me and giving me anxiety and it was just the first day of class. No offense to her tho cuz she seemed sweet, just shouldn't be a professor.
Absolutely terrible! She is by far the worst professor I've had. The course material isn't explained thoroughly and she chastises you when you don't understand. She even went as far as asking a student, rather rudely, "Can't you think? Aren't you a thinking woman?" If you can avoid her, please do for the sake of you sanity and education.
I wish i dropped out of this class. Her tests are nearly impossible. I usually get A's and B's on exam, but i could not get anything higher than a C on her exam and that was with a curve! She makes you feel stupid if you ask a question. One time when I asked a question, she made me erase the board for asking such a "dumb" question.
Do not take physiology with professor Bednarski, her material does not coordinate with the book, the material is very disorganized. It is almost impossible to pass her test, I had a 3.5 Gpa before her class, and barely passed her class, I received a 1.5. Her study guides are useless, don't even bother using them.
Just Get surprised when I saw the ratings and comments!!! she is more than amazing. Her exams are easy... she simplifies the material in her lectures and powerpoint slides. She is sweat and ready to help you if you have any questions. More importantly, when it comes to recommendation letters she is the best. I good grades in her exams.
Worst professor I've ever had at Oakland. Late to lecture everyday, judges you if you come in late sometimes. Does not answer emails, tells you to study the wrong material for the test. She is very old and can barely speak. Even when I sat in the front row in the lecture I could barely hear her. Reads everything off of powerpointss.
Worst professor I have ever taken. She reads off slides that have little or no information on them and tests on extremely specific details. Be ready to read the book and teach yourself. During lectures she goes off on rants about topics that I wouldn't understand if I hadn't taken A+P in high school. Very belittling when you go to her for help.
