Would take again

I don't really get the hate here. Took an accelerated course, and had 15 quizzes. That was it. 5 of them had extra credit questions, so that really helped. She also sends out reminders about an hour or two before the quiz is due if you didn't do it, to help remind you. Definitely recommend taking accelerated courses with her, lightest work ever.

So condescending and unkind. Would say things like, "You should double space your assignment so I can provide feedback, or would you not like me to provide comments." Grading was unclear, no assignments were provided until after the drop date, which feels intentional. She is milking the system and should retire. Do not recommend.

Legitimately the worst teacher I've ever had. She doesn't teach and assigns readings followed by quizzes, which are all derived from Quizlet. Grading scale is horrendous. She doesn't care about her student's situation and doesn't grade her assigned essays. All is done by your classmates. Also when I emailed I would always get a facetious response.

The quizzes were frustrating because they didn't align with the textbook material, and you could only take them once, making it hard to prepare. Professor Irwin's teaching style was rude and pretentious, and she lacked understanding of students' personal matters. the class was taking up too much of my time for a GE, I dropped, Take Sullivan instead

I will come back and rate differently if I feel different by the end of the semester but I doubt it.This professor does not understand students or take the time to even help come with a solution. She is mainly just very horrible with her grading standard and doesnt recognize effort. cannot stand this teaching style.

I had to drop last week. This professor is evil and has no good intentions for her students. Sets very standards for assignments, barely any assignments on top of that so if your late on even one quiz she doesnt allow you to take it after that. even if ur one minute late, even if you have health issues. I am disgusted and will be reporting her.

Iam A student and this teacher wanted to give me a D just cause I was a minute late on one quiz... I even had an excuse. How does one get a D even though they put in all the effort?ridiculous. This teacher ruined everything I worked hard for and I hope she gets a taste of what she dishes out. She has no regards for students with home/health issues.

Hi, a lot of these reviews are very harsh. I just wanna come on here and say I do think professor Irwin is just very specific with her grading techniques. She has quizzes through out the semester and a few blue book essays that are hard but doable. Sometimes it just doesnt match whats in textbooks, which throws everything off.

I tried several times to contact her; she said I didn't use the 24-hour window that she never said was needed. i had waited a day and sent another messege I requested a simple exam to be opened early, as she said was fine in previous messages.

but would only give me a few hours to complete it if it was opened earlier and not have 2 full days and began to actually behave immaturely and argue with me. It was extremely childish and a disgusting display of a power grab.

The class is curved downwards from the get go (94+% is an A, so a 93% is a B). 47% of your grade are chapter quizzes that have the answers posted online in Quizlet, they're not proctored so just look up the Q on your phone. 18% is classmate responses, fairly easy. 35% are harshly graded essays. Really condescending in giving feedback.
