She makes Humanities very interesting. She likes to engage in class discussions. As long as you pay attention, or even do the study guide you will pass the tests. She likes to hear about YOUR opinions. Very lucky I had her for Humanities.

Murdoch is a very interesting prof. Her Humanities class is interesting in the 6 week course, and it would have been amazing in the full term. She really encourages putting your own opinion and feeling into your work. As long as you do your study guides, you'll do great.

She is an amazing teacher, always willing to help, and loves it when the students ask questions. Her tests are simple and she goes over everthing you need to know for them. There is no end of semester paper, only six really easy journal entries, five tests, and one powerpoint presentation. Take her class if you want an 'A'.

I took this professor last fall (2009), and she was as good as advertised. You can glance at the book and still pass her tests with at least a solid B. She does get a tad critical on the journal entries, but its constructive. And not only did I get an A, I enjoyed my time learning from her. That is the mark of a great teacher. Highly recommend her.

She is the nicest teacher, but she will bore you to death with her lectures. Most of the class is asleep by the end of the period. Although if you ask questions during the review, and you study the study guide (which is everything you need for the test), there's no way you won't ace them. Interesting class if you don't mind her monotonous voice.

Humanities is pretty cut and dry. You either get interested or you don't. This professor sticks to the book and gives awesome preparation for her test. Not alot of studying is needed as long as you stay focused in class. I strongly reccomend taking her class. I failed humanities twice before Murdoch because of difficult teachers.She is great.

The only way to fail Prof. M. class is by not showing up and totally not studying. She tells you what to study, and prepares the exams on that exact material. Wonderful clear instructions.

This is an amazing professor. She lectures, but they aren't boring. She gives you notes to copy on a slide show. You copy them and read the chapters. The study guide is self explanatory. You'll get one for every test! You're sure to pass. Very helpful. Absolutely no problems. Worth taking!!!

Professor Murdoch is one of the best mentors I have ever had. She is not intimidating, like some professors at Polk State. She gives out study guides and they DON'T require intensive research and review. What's on it is what she tests for. Exploration papers diverge from the normal academia-type essays and truly facilitate creativity. Great!

Very monotone. Although her class is very easy. Grades papers extremely easy as well as your "huge presentation" I did terrible and was nervous and still got a 98 A on it. Everything on the test comes straight from the study guide... hint hint; study the study guide. Definitely taking her again next semester.

Ms. Murdoch is a very easygoing professor. If you try in her class it is hard to receive a grade lower than a C. Her tests are relatively easy, and she doesn't grade essays and presentations harshly at all. The class may get boring at times if you don't like listening to lectures, but as long as attend class it won't be hard to pass.

Just a great person overall. A true joy to be around. Very helpful during office hours and explains things extremely well. Bring your humor & creativity to this class. This is my first semester at Polk and she is my favorite professor out of everybody I'm taking. 3 Papers, 5 Tests and a Presentation all spread out so you have time to do it. Awesome

She talks with enthusiasm during lessons which makes it easy to stay alert and focused on what she is teaching! A+++ professor!

I really dug Professor Murdoch. She is a very interesting person and probably has something in common with everyone. The books aren't necessary for class, per se, but they will give you the study guide answers - which means you will have the test answers! She's always upbeat and her subject-related experiences are fun to hear.

Professor Murdoch is a great teacher. She gives you study guides for all of the tests at the beginning of the course. There are 5 tests (super easy), 3 papers (1,000 words each), and a presentation on the Middle Ages, Mozart, Ancient Rome, ect. Very easy grader. She is very straight forward. If you have ANY questions at all, she will tell you.

Lectures take up the class, so be ready. No make-ups nor drop-grades, so what you get is it, but tests are easy if you used the study guide. PowerPoint is 20% of your grade, but is easy. 3 Papers (1,000 words each) are 10% of grade each, but are not research-type papers, so no citations needed. If you show up for tests, you get snacks!

She is one of the best professors at polk state!! The presentation that was required was super easy and the assignments were not challenging at all! Never received anything less than a B I passed the class with an A. Her lectures are LONG But they are interesting because she is passionate about what she is teaching!!PLEASE TAKE HER.

I loved having her as a professor! At first I didn't know what to think but the longer the semester became, I grew to love her class. It's mainly a lecture with power point style but as long as you take notes you'll be fine. She puts all of her study guides and information for tests on PAL so you'll always be prepared.

Very kind professor and does her best to keep the class engaged. Sometimes she sways off topic and then some days she goes on forever about a topic. Her lectures get lengthy and she shows lots of clips. Participation counts and helps move the class along. I never used the book as she gives handouts. grading is tough but you don't have many papers.

I love Prof Murdoch! She is such a chill and humble person. Her classes are done through slideshow presentations and through the book. Just takes notes and complete the study guides she uploads to PAL and you'll pass her tests with no problem. A few papers but all very creative and interesting. Taken every class she offers.

Prof. Murdoch is an awesome teacher. She assigns 2 papers and a powerpoint presentation for her HUM2020 (along with tests) and as long as you show up and do the tests, papers and presentations as she asks on the sylabus you will get a good grade i just recieved a 100 on my presentation and a 95 on my first paper so she is an easy grader.

Murdoch is very knowledgeable and she knows Humanities very well. She can seem kind of monotone, at times, but she goes over everything on the study guide. Her study guides are pretty much replicas of her tests. Overall, she is approachable, and this is an extremely easy class with her.

There were 2 papers, 5 tests and 1 presentation. The papers were the easiest A's ever, you don't even need to meet the word count. For the tests, as long as you do the study guide, you'll pass, they are identicial. The presentation was super easy as well. Her lectures are boring and the book teaches you everything but she takes attendance.

She's a good professor who encourages the class to ask questions and she makes sure the assignments and tests instructions are 100% clear. As long as you fill out the study guides and read them once or twice, you'll pass her tests.

I had Prof Murdoch for Intro to Humanities and really enjoyed her class. We wrote 2 essays, gave a PowerPoint presentation, and had a few tests. She gave us study guides for the test, so there was no reason to do poorly on them unless you didnt study. Also (maybe this is weird) her voice was very soothing and it always made me feel relaxed.

Easiest class! There is no reason not to pass her class because the tests are just like the study guides. Use the textbook to find the answers to the study guide and go over it once or twice and youll be good for the test. Apart from the tests, you have weeks to finish your 2 papers so get that done. Shes also pretty lenient with grading.

There are two 1000 words exploration paper which are easy to do, 1 powerpoint and a couple of tests that are an easy A if you study the study guides she gives you!

Very nice, laid back and caring. Don't necessarily need to read the textbook, I never did & I still got an A on every assignments and tests. It can be hard to understand the subject at first but it is interesting. It's mainly art, history and mythology. She grades very well and directions are clear. 2 big papers to write but very easy topics.

I took this class online due to the pandemic, but never had a problem. Professor Murdock is amazing and put lots of effort into her class even when it was online. Her assignments were very straight forward that I did not have to contact her once to clear up any confusion. Her discussions are very easy and so are her papers. Really recommend taking!

I have never liked history, but I loved this class. I took this online due to covid in the fall and she gave study guides that were exactly the test. She assigned two big papers but each one were so fun and simple to write. Discussion post were easy to write. One powerpoint project was given, fairly easy. Overall I would recommend her to anyone!

I would 100% recommend taking her for your HUM2020 credit if required. There aren't many assignments and the ones assigned are very easy to complete. Just pay attention in class for the quizzes and do a little bit of additional reading and you will do fine. She is chill and nice as well.

This was my first year under Professor Murdoch. She came heavily recommended by several of my friends who had previously been enrolled in her classes. There was only one major project. There were 5 tests, and a study guide was provided for each. There were a handful of easy discussions with other students. She was a wonderful professor!

2 big projects: PWPT and a paper. Both extremely easy. Tests have simple questions if you study- take good notes & utilize study guide resources. Initially enforced honorlock online but ended up taking it off entirely. Very knowledgeable. You will learn a lot. Weekly discussions for a little over half of the class. Mini lecture videos are amazing!
