She is a really hard teacher, but this is a really hard subject. If you don't want to Invest time into understanding this class....a lot of time, your not going to do well.

I can't believe I had the same teacher as you all. She was very nice to me and willing to go over material with me that I didn't hear in class. I think she is wonderful:P

some student try to kick her out. they wrong, she best makes me work and see how accountingwork in business and life. be ready to work.she expect yu to do homework. she expect yu to partisipate evry day. she hard and fair. she alsways try to help and nice to work with. yu want to lern take her. yu want easy course don take her.

great teacher. makes it real for me more than any other. never had professor work so hard to make sure i understood. if you take her you have to work hard but worth it. good examples good real life situations fair test lots and lots of homework when yu get done you know the stuff or you dont get out

WOW.I'm shocked at the responses.So you're saying a teacher s/n't expect you to read the ch. before class??? She also helps during the exams,holds study sessions and if you ASK her,will meet with you outside of class. I agree that the ACC is challenging, but say that.Y bash the teacher? She is HUMAN & u guy s/b ashamed.

the course requires a ton of work, however, if you keep up and focus, you can pass the class.

Don't be so quick to judge.This material is difficult and if you're having problems Mrs. Welden is always happy to help.She offeres great insight and will work with you until you understand. She honestly wants to help students, but if you're not willing to seek out the help than that is no fault of hers.She is a great help and is a very nice person

Ms. Weldon is very knowledgeable and intelligent teacher and earned my respect by taking interest in the students and patiently making sure everyone understands the subject matter. She has always approached the subject with an intention to help the students to learn and think. I found the course more interesting because of her.

She is a very intelligent professor. That being said YOU MUST go to class, do homework and do 3-4hrs of studying a week in order to pass this course. If you don’t put in this amount of time, you will struggle. The class is possible and the professor is very helpful. Be prepared to do work for this class.

Although the class required quite a bit of work, I think in order to master a subject one must put forth the time & effort. Seek help and ask plenty of questions all of which Mrs. Weldon offers. My opinion of her, she's very knowlegable & enthusactic about acct. She demonstrated a very nice & respectful decorum throughout. I like her.

Overall she is a great Professor. She knows the material inside and out. If you need help she is willing and really wants her students to pass. The material or the course is by no means easy. You will need to put some serious time into the class if you plan on doing well. Talk to her early in the term if you think you need help!

Prof Welden is caring, gracious, amicable and accommodating. While the course material is dense, she works very hard to assist you in understanding the concepts. Regretfully, she relies heavily on oral communication and PowerPoint slides as opposed to the board & marker. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend to course and the professor.

Prof. Welden is a great teacher. She is very helpful, and makes herself available to all of her students. Some people don't like how she uses the Socratic method, but if you do the homework, you have nothing to worry about. She really does want everyone to pass, and there's no reason you couldn't.

Here's the deal: The people who struggle in her class are also the ones who leave halfway through the lecture and don't have the book until the eigth week. Yes, accounting is hard, and she'll let you know quite bluntly if she's displeased with you, which is unprofessional, IMO. Yet if you treat her with respect, she'll do the same in spades.

She is a great, knowledgable, helpful professor. Come to all the classes, DO ALL THE HOMEWORK, and ask questions if you dont know, even during the exam. You cant fail. I hadn't taken accounting in 10 years and I passed with a B. I highly recommend this professor.

Good, fair, & friendly prof! Disregard any old comments, whatever issues there may have been in the past are no longer present. Maybe life sucked and she was not at her best, idk. It's not an easy class; you will have to attend and do the problems to learn. I ran out of time taking tests but she gives opportunity make up 10 points the next class.

Great Professor, always willing to help... she comes off as as at first, but she is really cool always there for help if u ask and she is really funny

She is one of the best professors I have had at Wayne. You have to attend all the lectures and do all the homework. Professor Weldon is ready and willing to help with any questions you may have. I liked her method of teaching. She asked you questions until you came to answer your own question or the one she asked. She is also funny and friendly.

GO TO CLASS AND DO THE HOMEWORK!! She will like you if you do that. FYI she asks the whole class questions and if you don't know it she will ask you more questions. Be Prepared.

She is smart, but very mean and arrogant. She thinks she is funny, and cannot relate at all to students. Her lectures are pretty good though, but can be condescending when u ask her questions sometimes. Tests are no joke, but she does give ALOT of extra credit if the class does bad. She actually gave a pop quiz on the first day. Who does that?!?!?

this is acctg no matter who's teaching the class it's gonna be hard and ur going to hate ur life especially non acc majors. Prof weldon may have her own snese of humor get frustrated but she's AWESOME! don't just go to class and leave. go to class be involved and get to know weldon. she'll bend over backwards for u to help you if u show ur trying

Professor Welden is a really nice person if you talk to her during office hours, however she puts on a "tough-guy" front for class (for some unknown reason). THE hardest class I've ever taken, and the tests made me want to drink poison.

She's hard nosed and tough. Definitely the hardest class i've ever taken. Her exams are killer! I'm so glad i took her though. She's a great person who pushes you to your limit. Not the best teacher in the world but she made me better and made me work hard. I love her and would take her again!

Weldon is AWESOME!!!!! She is the best Accounting professor at WSU. She makes sure you understand the concepts and she is open to any questions you have. I wish she taught all the accounting courses.

Peculiar sense of humor that turns most off. STAY ON TOP OF THE MATERIAL & BE PREPARED!! Ask questions specific to material and participate in class discussion. If she is given free reign of lecture, she will subject class to rambles. Weldon is tough and demands graduate level expectations. She refuses to spoon-feed course material to MBA students.

Loves to talk about her dog, call you out in class, and talks non-stop while drinking 40 energy drinks. But, is helpful, will lead you to the answer, very smart mouthed and impatient. Hardly no breaks, but will answer all questions. Do your homework, ask questions, and attempt to understand and you will do fine.

I do beleive that she is a good professor who is tough but also always there for her students. She helps out with making sure people don't fail by offering an extra credit assignment that is done in groups after the exams. Its added to your overall score and boosts your grade significantly. LOVE that woman!

Just ridiculous. The homework will take you hours, but be sure to do it or your grade (and exam scores) will suffer. She just yells at the class the entire time. It's bad when the teacher is less helpful than the lab instructor (Sandee...go see her for ANY questions). Go to the bar with her after your final...your grade could depend on it!!!

I dropped a class when I knew that she would be teaching it the following semester because I knew that I would walk out of there know what I should know. those complaining about being there for

Pretty good. Her style can come off as abrasive at first, but she is just trying to show you where you made a mistake. There is a lot of homework in this class. Nothing unexpected on tests, but they are long. If you're willing to put the work, it's not too hard to get a good grade, especially when you consider how much extra credit she offers

In the end, you have noone else to blame but yourself. Most will hate b/c you arent spoonfed the material, but welcome to college-its time to grow up. That is what she teaches you. EC saves ur life. USE THE RESOURCES SHE OFFERS! Make friends and study w/ them. Earn your grade-learn the lessons shes trying to teach you. Shes knows more than ud think

i have mixed feelings. IN class she is very obnoxious, she wastes time and is rude to students. but one on one she is SO helpful and kind. i feel like she'd make a better tutor (like sandee) than a professor. class is extremely frustrating but if you talk to her on your own (or ask for help during exams) she will help a LOT! DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!

I can't believe her! She makes you do things that most students hate... Thinking! Accounting is a logical subject, and she will make you think about the why to get to the what. If you do what she asks you will be happy with what you come away with. Work load is extreme though.

Great professor! I enjoyed this class. I put off taking this class because I have never enjoyed history courses or the loads of reading that generally come along with it. Professor Welden made the course exciting and we had interesting activities throughout to keep everyone plugged in. No textbook, but 2 short novels and additional short readings.
