Professor Bacon is the best professor I've had my whole college career. She's energetic, funny, and very helpful. You actually have fun doing all the hands-on labs and she's never negative--always upbeat and all around fantastic.

Very perky... OARWETs are required and you'll find they're just busy work (aka: waste of time). Extremely easy to talk to if have problem with her class or classmates.

Excellent class, just do the work and you will get an awesome grade. The labs and classes are easy to follow. I thought she looked pretty hot in those tight black leather pants and I'm female and straight. Recommend taking

this woman drives me up the freaking wall. at first i thought it was cool that she was so into her stuff, but by midterm she just pissed me off. i find her annoying beyond believe. the class is easy though, if thats what youre looking for.

Hey Prof. Bacon is cool as hell, yes the OARWET's are useless, but I got an A out her class all you have to do is do the work. Her test are take home, now if you cant pass a take home test you are STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prof Bacon is one of the coolest profs here at Ferris...She not only knows what she is talking about...but is ALWAYS willing to go above and beyond when it comes to helping out students. Defn. Take her!

Professor Bacon is the best teacher! Tests are straight foward and she goes over them before you take it. Notes are easy.She doesn't accept bullsh*t as an escuse so don't plan on it. Must do a chapter review/summary every 1-2 weeks, but there is no other homework. Class is fun, interesting, and the shortest 45 minutes you'll ever take. Great Class!

Easy class that does a lot of hands on learning, which makes it FUN!! Dr.Bacon is a great lady who likes to make class as fun as possible--oh and she gives take home exams from time to time!! ;)

If you have a hard time in science classes, take Bacon. Shes very helpful and makes going to class painless. The labs are fun and relaxed.

Interesting and very easy. However, Bacon knows absolutely everything, you literally cannot tell this woman anything. It's annoying sometimes. She lectures about life a lot, and is very critical of students and their personal choices. Oh well, easy A...if you can stand to listen to her from the top of that huge pedestal she sits on.

She's quite a funny character, but I like her. Science & Crime is what I love so if that's an interest for you, you'll like the class and learn a lot. She's pretty easy going and she's clear about what she wants and doesn't mind helping.

Professor Bacon knows her stuff. She is full of energy and loves what she is teaching. She is helpful and always willing to explain! She was a great Instructor and I recommend this class to anyone in the CJ program.

Great professor overall. Very enthusiastic about Chemistry. Can sometimes get an attitude with student but then quickly fades to humor. Doesn't like it if your late to class. Labs are simple. Turn in each lab paper for 10 points each.

Great class. Lab is a lot of work, but it is interesting items to do. If you get bored in this class, you are in the wrong field! Learning a little bit about everything has definitely helped me in decided which are I want to specialize in the forensic world. Wish I could take it again!

One of the best Profs I've had here at Ferris State! I would recommend her for anyone, easy classes and you actually learn a lot of cool information unlike most other classes. Just do the OARWETS for each chapter & tests are easy- she basically tells you what's on the tests.

Dr. Bacon is an absolutely wonderful teacher. She is fun to listen to and always seems to be in the best mood. She really cares about the students in her class and tries to help whenever she can. She even saved my grade once from a bad lab partner and I am forever grateful for that.

As a non-science major, I just needed one more lab credit. Professor Bacon teaches in a way that anyone can understand. Usually, I feel lost in science classes but I actually enjoyed her class and learned a lot. There are weekly outline assignments for the textbook and be sure to come to class everyday for attendance.

Had her for lab, shes very hyper in the mornings & a very happy person. She explains labs pretty well & clarifies what we dont understand.

Technically class is not mandatory but she uses clickers for a couple of questions each class. (most points I got from those are 5pt per class, most you can get) Super easy questions because it's in the notes in front of you. She cares about you and the class is a grade booster. I'm not a chem person and there was little to no chemistry.

Mary Bacon is my favorite professor by far. She has a pep in her step and loves what she does. Although she makes lab mandatory, she'll be understanding and excuse you from the assignment if you email her ahead of time with a good reason. I feel like I learned a lot from her class and can now see things in a different light. Funny lectures too!

Professor Bacon saved my Chemistry grade. She was my lab professor and I am so glad. She does have quite a lot of energy, but is very positive. If you ask she will most likely give you the answer on the lab. She is a very kind, caring person who explains things very well.

Very energetic professor. The lectures and the labs are actually pretty interesting and you will learn a lot. Quizzes / tests are simple as she basically gives you the answers or it's in the notes. You DO need a clicker, the textbook and the workbook which has the labs and notes in them. If you need a science credit, you will want to take this one.

She is, by far, one of the best teachers that I have ever had. She is clear with what she wants. She engages with students and is always approachable. She likes to get to know her students and will help you succeed. You want to show up prepared to class not because you are told to but because the material is interesting. She makes it easy.

She was such and amazing professor. She was laid back and will help you throughout the lab. If you did something wrong she would explain what you did wrong and help you fix your mistake. She made the lab fun and made me want to be there.

Prof. Bacon is a good teacher. She is very excited about forensic science. All of the tests and quizzes are take home. Many extra credit opportunities. Labs are fun (she brings candy)! A good class for forensic bio majors/minors or if you need a science gen ed. Always bring a clicker & book for notes. OARWETS are repetitive but you learn a lot.

Take Bacon! Take this class if you are not a science major and looking to fill a requirement. All exams/tests you take home and fill out before it is due. 2 textbooks required. Attendance in person is mandatory. Lab sessions never run the full two hours. Decent amount of homework but manageable. Show up, participate, and turn in the homework = A.
