Professor Calegari is a nice lady, she is the best accounting professor i had in sjsu. she teaches everything so clearly. Yet, students still have to study and practice on their owns. her tests are not easy to pass without study nor easy As. but overall, she is good professor. i plan to take her again on 126 this fall semester.

i took her last spring. she was extremely clear on teaching the concepts. also, she was helpful in answering all questions. The only bad thing about her was that she liked to challenge students on tests. so if you don't plan to put some time to study, don't take her class!

SHE DOESNT TEACH, JUST READS POWERPOINT, HER CLASS IS A JOKE, SHE JUST TELLS JOKES AND COVERS THE BASICS, NEVER TEACHES THE HARD STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THE EXAM. MOST PEOPLE FAIL HER CLASS, YOU WILL TOO IF YOU TAKE HER.

She's very good at explaining concepts and makes class entertaining. You won't get bored in her class. Her exams are not the easiest. She is very fair with grading, you get what you deserve and she is straight forward about grading guidelines. Little extra credit points here and there go a long way. Good prof for those who really want to learn.

She explains concepts well. She does not teach. Which is it? She explains things well in private to students she wants to help. She does not explain things well to students she does not to want help. Does not prepare you for the test, which is why they are hard. Speeds over the power point. Tests are harder than problems or class material assigned

Hardest acctg class ever! Intermediate acctg and and everything else were not as hard compared to this class. I ended up with a C+ in her class because of the final. Take the quizzes she hands out x 3 is how much harder the exams were. The second exam was doable. Don't know how to tell you to study for this class because I didn't do so well.

The best instructor I have ever had in SJSU. She is personable, nice, ready to help. I can't say she plays favorites,I don't understand why people feel that way. She helped me a lot after class. I would even say She always help when you do your best. She wants you to succeed in her class. Take home quizzes are great!!!

Best accounting teacher I've ever had. Her classes are difficult and take a lot of studying but I've actually learned more in her classes than in all of my other classes put together. MUST do the homework and quizzes several times to get a good grade on her tests. Knowing the material inside and out is a must for this class.

i think a lot of people dislike her for giving challenging exams. But i love her teaching skills, she taught everything clearly when i took her couple semester. That's important as there are some professors in school cannot even teach clearly. also i don't think it's impossible to pass her class, just understand and practice a lot. should be ok

She thinks she is a good teacher. But by no means she is. She wasted a lot of class time preaches her teaching philosophy without practicing them at all! She does not spend enough time preparing the class!!! Lazy. Therefore, you can expect she wasted time either looking for her materials or just murmuring "ok" "alright" "uhmm"

She gives very little extra credit. total about 5pts. It's true the class is super hard, and she tests you on actually knowing how to do the concepts. Lots of calculations. she seems a bit lazy on teaching and tells you to just read at home. She also plays favorites. She is rude to those she does not like.

She's a very tough teacher. In the beginning i didnt think i could pass the class, but as the class went on I got the hang of how to study for her exams. You definitely need to spend hours of studying for her class or else you won't pass. As a teacher shes not that great.I had to teach myself everything using the book.

Professor Calegari does everything she can to help students. She is the ONLY professor I've known to host review sessions on weekends. You'll almost never find professors that are willing to take their time off to help students. She wants everyone to succeed. The key is to review all the in-class assignments she gives you while doing practice.

Took Calegari in the Fall, you get 3 midterms + non culm final. Her method of teaching is easy to understand, just pay attention in class. She drops the lowest two quizzes and offers a take home portion for extra credit on each exam! She also hosts exam reviews the weekend before the exam and exams are fine as long as you study her study guides.

Extremely tough class. Everything taught prior to each exam is fair game, so be prepared to practice a bunch. Overall grade is comprised of three exams worth 100 points each, homework assignments/classwork/worksheets totaling 120 points, and a noncumulative final exam worth 100 points. Hosts weekend study sessions prior to exams.
