Awesome teacher. Had actual experience in the field. Makes the work and reading so understandable and applies it to real life. Take her classes she rocks.

I took her class online. She gave so many different materials to use to study for the test with other than the book. I did not put all my time and effort into this class so I did not do as well as I should of but I learned a lot and passed the class. She is not a hard teacher nor an easy one. Her test consisted of 50 questions.

Ms. Daly is very responsive and she is clear about what is expected of you, from day 1. Class consisted of 4 unit exams,and 4 discussion board assignments (1 per unit). No final exam. SOC 210 online class - Fall 2009.

She is a great professor. The class is never boring and she teaches in a way everyone can apprehend. The most understanding, realest, laidback, and coolest teacher ever. MUST NOTE* THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR THOSE WHO ARE EASILY OFFENDED.

She is an open book and I find that I can ask her anything without fear of judgement. She has a big heart and wants all of her students to succeed in their endeavors. She tries her hardest to make sure she doesn't offend but is not afraid to "broaden" your horizons. She is the best professor I have ever had the pleasure of learning from.

This is the best teacher ever. She has four tests and four assignment the whole semester. She drops one of the tests and the end of the semester. Tests are 100pts; assignments are 25pts.All points in the end of the semester equal 400. She is a great teacher and she keeps it real. She will always break it down so we all understand. Take this class.

One of the best teachers that I have ever had! Mrs. Daly wants her students to succeed and isn't just saying it. She will do what she can to help you pass her class. If you pay attention in class and turn in the assignments and show up for exams. You will get an A in the class. She really made Sociology fun and interesting. Take her classes!!!

Loved this class! Go into class with an open mind. Actually go to class too, there are extra points sometimes. She really has an invested interest in students and will work with you to a point.

The greatest thing is that I never opened a book for either class I took with her. Be prepared to listen to stories and have an open mind to everything. She makes this more of a daily discussion than a class. Test are easy, just study the notes she gives you. You have all the answers right there, literally.

Online summer class-just 8 weeks. Sociology is a reading intensive class anyway so, I knew I would be reading my book all summer, which I did. Ms. Daly was EXTREMELY prompt and helpful, provided us with extra credit and allowed us to retake ALL exams! I followed her syllabus so I didn't need to retake ANY! Great professor and interesting class!

Awesome! I took her class online and I'm so glad I did. It was a breeze, but then again I'm the type that doesn't need to study much for an A. As long as you put effort into your assignments and retake the tests until you get the grade you want, there is no reason not to get an A. She gives you everything to succeed! Great teacher!!

Awesome.. Def one of the highest rate prof at cpcc.. Imo should be teaching at Chapel hill.. Very down to earth.. She just hates chronic lateness. Be respectful and she will help you until you understand everything...Would take again.. Tests can be kinda tough to study for.. But an A is def obtainable with the strong will to work...

I took this class online& discussion board easy.The TEST were VERY DIFFICULT-she will give u 3 attempts& u will need them ,even aftr reading the WHOLE BOOK,bc u will. Had no clue where the question came from; let alone the ans.Pretty much have to guess @ all the answers. ADVISE "DONT TAKE IT online"

Its been great knowing Mary and I have enjoyed all the knowledge she has shared. I'm a better person because of it.

I took this class in the summer. There was just 4 discussion board assignments and 4 tests. It was pretty easy.

I absolutely loved her class!!! She is very energetic and kept my attention for the entire class period, every single day. I was always excited to go see Prof. D!

Prof.D that is all I can say. She is the best professor you could ask for. She is there for the students not the money and she will build a bond with everyone she meets. She gave me a nickname last semester and I barely spoke out in class. She still sees me and we talk a few times a week. She will expand your mind, you will love her and the class!!

Easy A. She does not post her letures online. So unless you have a class buddy you have to come to class to get the notes. Loved the subject she made it very interesting and easy to understand. Test were EASY EASY if you studied her notes. I just wish she would have spent more time on the subject and less on her personal life.

Mary Daly is passionate about her subject and loves her students. I learned a lot from her but she does share a lot of her personal life with big classes. As in we usually started class 10 or 15 minutes late while she talked about some guy, her ex husband, or her weekend. She's approachable and helpful. Not everyone's cup of tea.

Prof Daly is very funny. Her class was the easiest class I have taken in CPCC so far. I enjoyed all of her lectures.

Prof D. lays out what to expect from the beginning. She definitely listens to opinions, but the class and subject are factual-based. In terms of being a Christian, be aware she is going to pick a little, but if you put aside any sensitivity, you should be fine. Besides that, she taught me a LOT and I now love sociology and want to major in it!

Proffesor Daly is an amazing teacher. Her teachings is based on her experiences for better understanding. Her tests are 12 questions and you only have to answer 10. She's very caring of others and was the best teacher I ever had. If you are very sensitive on religion, life views, and cursing don't take her otherwise take her class (in-person)!

Great professor! It's important to attend class because her tests questions are composed of the notes from class. She's experienced & teaches from a sociologist perspective. Her lectures are interesting, you must have an open-mind. Her tests are not hard if you study! They're short answer questions. She's really funny too!

This is hands down the best professor I have ever had, that's coming from someone who took three different courses with her and no matter the subject she's amazing at what she does.

I took this class online, the only things that made up your grade is four tests and four discussion boards. Super easy, never even read the book, mot answers can be found online for test and discussion boards are easy. You can take each test 3 times to make sure you get the grade you want!

Prof D is a great person. She's got a really dry sense of humor so don't take what she says too seriously. You will learn a lot about the material but she also tends to talk a lot about her personal life which doesn't always relate to the lecture. She tends to want to be friends with students so boundaries aren't always super clear either.

Prof. Daly sociology class was hands down the easiest class I have had this semester. You just come in relax talk about some social issues and share some thoughts and take some notes! There are only 4 tests, have have 12 questions and you can only solve 10 (you eliminate 2 hard questions, which there are none) and there are just 4 easy assignments!

Daly was an excellent professor who really cares about the education and success of her students. She has a very "matter of fact" attitude which I personally appreciated. Lectures were real life stories from her own experiences and those of her students. All test materials were given during class so attendance is important.

Ms. Daly is amazing. She doesn't grade heavy and the tests are pretty much straight from the book. As long as you do your work, follow the rubric and directions for assignments (they're pretty lenient), then you'll get an A. You get the grade you pretty much deserve. You get chances to redo and retake assignments!

I absolutely love Daly. She is the best professor I have ever had, hands down. She is caring, considerate, she gets personal to help us gain better understanding of her sometimes difficult material. Not a single complaint about her.

This class was the easiest online class I think that I've had at CPCC. Basically if you do the assigned work you're guaranteed an A. There is a Theory Paper that is assigned but you can BS it, as long as you turn it in you'll get a 100. She gave the class multiple attempts to take the tests and waved the final. You have to try hard to fail.

She is fun and honest. She talks about her personal life to relate the topic we are learning so it absorbs easier. She provides exceptional notes for students to pass if they study. If you attend her class, take notes, and study, then you'll get an A for sure.

She is very very fun she talks about her life a lot but she is an amazing professor I had her two semesters in a row and I would do it all over again.

This has to be one of the best professor's I've had at CPCC in over 10 online classes. She provides great feedback for assignments and provides a clear course layout with accurate due dates and there is only really one assignment most weeks.

This professor is very hilarious. I love listening to her real life experiences because she uses her personal life story to help you understand sociology. Ms. Daly talks about herself a lot and if you are one of those student who can't stand that, I would not suggest you take her class. There isn't much homework and studying to do.

Professor Daly is straight forward with her criteria, she will take the time to set meetings or respond to all emails if there are any questions on assignments. She loves what she is teaching which makes learning the material way easier than most college courses. I highly recommend her if you are planning on taking SOC210!

Daly is by far the most caring and funniest professors Ive had. Class was very easy; we were only graded by one discussion post per week and overall 3 exams. She gave us 4 attempts on each exam which consisted of multiple choice questions (it was also very easy). She asked us to buy the class book but it was never used (you could Google answers).

Daly was one of my favorite professors. Shes pretty funny and the class was very easy. Throughout the semester the only assignments were a DB every week, 3 tests, and the final assignments which was only 5 paragraphs. she also graded fast which I appreciate.

she was the easiest professors i have ever had. all you have to do are either a discussion board post or a quiz weekly. there is no final exam; rather, it's a week 12 quiz. she also attaches an outline over the reading and it covers the entire chapter in 4 pages. i never paid for a textbook, so i relied on the outline, and i passed with a 99.

Very easy online class and she's a very caring professor. Not a lot of work- either a discussion board or small quiz each week. She posts notes of each week's reading. She recommends we purchase the textbook, which I did, but I never really used it. All the quizzes and notes are available in the beginning of the semester so you can work ahead.

Professor Daly, truly cares about her students and has a passion in teaching Sociology! I took this course over the fall. Each week you have to read a chapter and do a quiz. (Fairly easy), 3 Discussion, and Signature Assignment. The SA is fairly easily just pay attention. She will forever be one of my favorites. Love u Big Momma!

Only had to do a quiz or a discussion board a week. Everything is either found in the outline or the textbook. Most of all, she cares about you. She sends an email a week just to check up on you and talk.

If you want a hilarious easy A class with a fun professor I couldn't recommend more. Take it in person! Every class is like a stand up comedy act. Easy work but I feel like I actually learned about sociology through Dalys crazy stories. You need to have tough skin or sense of humor though. If you can banter you'll get along great.

Very easy course. She is so nice and sweet. She gave inspirational emails every week. One quiz a week: 10 questions, unlimited time, two attempts. It's kind of hard to mess it up. You get the answers from reading the textbook she provides. Every four weeks, instead of a quiz, you have a discussion board but it is very easy and kind of broad.

Professor Daly is an absolute gem! Her class is a breeze with weekly quizzes and discussions. I found Unstuck study really helpful for staying on top of the material. Definitely take this class!
