cool teacher READ THE BOOK

She's the best psych teacher i've ever had

I had trouble with this class, but she was very nice and lectures were interesting.

Awesome Professor! This class was a breeze and really raised my GPA. Just go to class - she does powerpoint lectures that are interesting and easy to understand. Highly recommended!

Difficult class, but very approachable outside of class, and is genuinely concerned with the success of her students.

i absolutely loved this class. she's so energetic and enthusiastic. however her lectures just summarize the book,her exams are all ESSAY, and she always talks about Japan. and be prepared to do a research paper. very hard class but intersting

You will learn alot, but it is only because you need to know every page of BOTH text books, like the back of your hand. ALL essay question exams, and are graded very hard, for no reason. I would not recommend to normal students, but great for the nerds.

She is fun and energetic, & actually knows what she teaches. Her exams are all essay, & take a long time, but she grades fairly. I did good in the class, but had to study a lot for the exams. She is approachable and friendly. Good prof, take her class.

Anyone who has anything negative to say about this teacher is out of thier mind!I had her for about a month as a sub, and she was amazing.friendly, very helpful, EASY if you pay attention, and tests are not that bad if you listen and read the book.I wish I could of had her for the whole class!

Dr. Eberly is a wonnderfulmperson and professor and she is good at what she does. For the people that said she was difficult maybe you should study a little more. She is a very good professor.

Dont take this class if you are lazy. If you do the work and go to class, you wil do fine. If don't really want to learn, what the hell are you doing in college any ways. Well organized but covers a lot of material.

Ok, I'm not sure what these people are complaining about. I went to all but 3 lectures and PAID ATTENTION and then reviewed notes and skimmed the book before a test. I got a 3.5 (and I'm not a psy major). I personally like her personal teaching style, and I would say her test are actually too easy!

She was okay...had her for a month and her tests were a little tricky. Lots of theories...no easy test questions. Ok personality...

Eberly really is a nice person (don't believe what u have heard in the past). But, she is a tough instructor. She is REALLY big on application questions....so u HAVE TO KNOW WHAT U ARE TALKING ABOUT. This is good b/c it prepares u :) She is also willing to help diligent students!

Really good instructor, nice, easy to talk to- just really down to earth. Exams are challenging but her class is fun and she is always open for suggestions, and help out-side of class.

You people need to stop complaining about how hard classes are - u are in COLLEGE! She is very passionate about adolescence & knows a TON about it. She is hard but as long as you read the material, come to lectures you take good notes, you'll do fine. Everything on tests comes straight from notes.

I learned so much from this professor, and she's really in to what she teaches. She is very helpful and willing to work with students. I am an english major who had to take this class for a teaching requirement, but I still got an A. Just come to the lectures and you'll do fine. Awesome professor

lectures are full of info, she gives examples of how theories apply and then expects you to do the same. Not a real warm or approachable instructor, she will give some help but doesn't want to be buddies.

This class isn't an easy class because there is so much information you need to know.Likes to talk about her family and go off on tangents about things. First test very easy but dont let that fool you. The rest you NEED to know the information from all the sections. If you apply yourself you will do well in this clas. Use CD that came with book.

I thought she was a good professor. She wasnt too hard, but she did expect a lot. If you listen to her and go over the notes you should be fine. I took her class in the spring and without really studying I got an A, you just have to pay attention in class.

This is a great professor. She is very educated in psychology and she loves to teach. The class is generally easy. There is a lot of information but most of it is common sense stuff. Her notes are good, and if you study and attend class it is an easy A.

I dunno about some of the other people's responses, but personally I loved this professor. Her notes are awesome, her tests are hard, but you just need to keep up w/the readings. If you go to her office, you just need to get to know her a bit- she is more than welcome to help, always. I would definitely recommend taking her for this course! :)

As long as you do the internet study activities in the book you will get an A. She is awesome!

She is a very intelligent professor, but expects you to be just as smart. The class is tough but study hard and you will do alright. 4 tests that all weigh equally, and she doesn't give any extra credit.

dont take her unless you wanna work very very hard. lectures are useless. so u wont feel like going to the class. i feel i was wasting 7oo some dollars for this four credit class cos i m not gonna pass this class even wen i studied three fourth of the textbook

Pretty clear on what will be on the tests. She just only takes a few topics from each chapter and goes in depth with them. the tests are just m.c. you have to really thing about. essays were easy. she isnt completely clear on details for the papers until the class before its due. i hate that.

Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be-seems intimidating at the start but as long as you kept up with the readings & came to class it was manageable. The required lit review was done in steps so it wasn't too bad & it was worthwhile to get the experience writing, even if it was painful. Lectures can be long but she gives test hints so take notes.

She was a great professor. Not as hard as expected (maybe just a bit more challenging than what OU students are used to) but she helps along the way and makes things very easy to understand.

I enjoyed her class and found the material to be very interesting. She is very passionate and enthusiastic about this subject. She can be long-winded at times and her tests are not exactly easy (questions are more conceptual rather than memorizing facts from the book) but not impossible either. She was always willing to answer questions as well.

she started with talk about the paper being hard and blah blah. but really i dont think she graded that hard at all. i felt her directions were vauge at times though and was frustrating when doing some assignments. but everythign i ended up doing was fine, meaning she isnt strict w/ grading.& what is going to be on the exams she makes very obvious.

After reading your bad comments you freaked me out for my first test, but I found it easy and she has great lectures ,time seems to fly by. She is very helpful, high energied . If you review the sample tests in back of book study and read , go to class its actually too easy. So Im not sure where you got your imfo from, or should I ask your ages.

Great teacher

Great Professor. If you go to class and listen and are interested in the material to begin with you'll get an A in the class. Her lectures were good and so were her examples. Not at all boring...I work nights and had no problem staying awake in lecture.

I was always very interested in her lectures and enjoyed class. She is an excellent public speaker and very intelligent. Her tests are NOT easy.

I thought this class was pretty easy. Her lectures are pretty interesting. Be sure to take the sample tests that the book offers on the internet! She uses a lot of situation problems...like John and mary are in a fight, when mary hits john she is showing signs of *blank*. If you can handle that you'll do fine!

Great Teacher, very dedicated. Had her for numerous classes in undergrad. Would definitely take her again.

Easy to understand, as she used various methods (such as relatingthe topic she is teaching back to our personal lives, through examples, and how it affects us) to enhance learning. She is also very captivating, in gestures and speech. Relies heavily on the book, online quizzez, and in-class lectures.

TRUST ME!!! don't take her, she is difficult and plays games, on the syllabus for the exams she skipped out, and didnt put chapters on there that were on the exam, unless you like studying hardcore, dont do it.

I can't say i would recommend this class. I took it for a general ed. requirement and because im interested in PSY. The professor is well educated and teaches with all power point. You have to take A LOT of notes and make sure you read EVERY chapter in the book. the negative about this class is THE TESTS ARE IMPOSSIBLE. Bottomline.. :(

One of my favorite professors. She's really passionate about the psych. Use her three pen method of highlighting it helps. Take notes in class, read the book, make your own study guides. Know the terms, definitions and a few examples and you'll do fine. Trust me. My lowest test grade was an 85% and I didn't study...when I did 94-95%.

She didnt always get the material coverd in class. what she did cover she went over well.

I went into this class thinking that it was going to be horrible because I heard she was really hard, but as long as you pay attention and actually go to the class it should be no problem at all to pass this course. All in all she was a great teacher.

She's all about terms so make sure you know them all. Reading is a must. If you don't read you won't pass the class. She talks a lot about her husband and her personal life which is a little annoying and off topic.

class was very hard, but interesting. ridiculously hard for a 100 level class. tests us as if we were majoring in the subject

Her Class was a challenge for me. Very difficult and nit picky with the papers. Overall she was one of my favorite teachers. You have to work really hard to get the grade you want. But she is so nice and friendly and willing to help you if you need it. Very good teacher. Recommend to anyone!

She was a great professor. If you read the text book and look over the slides, you will do well in class. The things that were in her powerpoints WERE ON THE EXAM!!! The other people that said that they weren't were peobably too lazy to look over them. She used examples that made harder concepts easier to understand.
