She likes to lecture but she curves the tests. You only have to take 3 out of 4 tests, if you have an A average or are happy with your grade.

Great person, very fair in everything, also very helpful. Boring at times, but you can tell she really does enjoy teaching. She knows her stuff, and that's all that matters. Easy grader (wahoo!)

Her tests scarred the buhjesus out of me but she's a fairly lenient grader and a VERY nice lady. As long as you don't miss more than 3 classes you'll have no trouble getting an A, even though her tests are scary. She's REALLY helpful too and open to everyones comments. She's an excellent teacher

Easy Class. Very helpful. If you do bad on a test she lets you make corrections to pull up the grade.

Shes real easy but class is boring. You watch a lot of movies and she doesnt really care if you sleep, everyone does. Shes a sweet lady

the class was easy, simply because we really didn't do anything except watch movies. but she as a teacher- was terrible. she knows all of the information, and could explain it to you, but she just never gets around to it.. so if you actually want to learn something, take a different teacher. if you want an easy "nothing" class- take her.

Mary Ellen is a great teacher! she really cares and wants her students to do well. You don't need the text book for class but will definitly need it for studying...doesnt give much notes so you have to read the text for the exams. really easy class...show her that you take it seriously and you'll be fine. definitly take her if you have the chance!

Take her.. developmental Psych with her was a piece of cake... hard work is needed but. This teacher is wonderful and she knows her stuff. I passed the class with flying colors.. text used once in a blue! Her permanent smile will make you smile. She never forgets a face.

This is the best professor in the school. She is extremely helpful and cares about all her students. Only two tests throughout the year and they are easy to pass. She is definitely my favorite teacher in the psych department. She is also my advisor. The class is not hard just a lot of information you need to know, just read the textbook, and do chapter outlines. We had a Midterm and Final, and a child study paper due at the end of the year. Proud of my A in this class

Dr. McMonigle is such a sweetheart. She is a very intelligent woman yet as the same very modest. She gave out treats and is always willing to help. Her exams require studying like all courses do. The textbook wasn't used a lot. She allowed the students to have their space and speak whenever they are comfortable. Don't chatter or sleep in her class.

Great teacher! Multiple choice test and 3 essay questions but provides a study guide and tells you whats on the test. We watched videos A LOT in her class, she sometimes gets off topic. She is very helpful, and fair with grading. If you study and read the textbooks pgs she tells you, you will get an A. Extra credit is also avaible. Intelligent lady

She is the best teacher I have ever had. She is very empathetic and wants her students to pass, I wish I could take her again. She wants to be there for her students in and out of the class room. She is the nicest women, she is very clear on material, and generally cares about her students. Her tests were easy, but you do have to study. She gives a general study guide for each exam. You do not have a final, only a midterm. Attendance is mandatory, and her lecture class is kinda boring, but not terrible. I strongly recommend taking her class

Basically a modern day saint and wonderful person. Her kindness motivates you to do well in the class. She takes the time to explain concepts thoroughly and gives a wide range of examples. If you take intro to psych and don't plan to pursue psychology any further, concepts are basic enough that internet resources can replace the $200 textbook

Intro to Psy, really interesting and little to no textbook use if I am remembering correctly. Developmental, textbook is a must have, very good class. Dr. McMonigle is Great. She is one of the best professors I've had at La Salle. She wants you to do well and understand the material, so expect to outline each assigned chapter to be turned in. If you study and do your outlines, there is no way you can fail her class. Midterms and finals are not hard. The class itself was rather interesting.

Incredible teacher and incredible class! Dr. McMonigle not only teaches you a lot about the study of psychology but just life in general. I found myself applying what I learned in her PSY 155 class to everyday situations. No writing or out of class assignments--all grades come from her tests which are exactly like the study guide!

Professor McMonigle is amazing. She is the sweetest professor I have ever had. Very understanding and will work with you. There wasn't much to do in this class besides read chapters and write summaries. There were two big papers: a reflection paper and an essay. She's an easy A.

MEM is a great professor who gives study guides for the midterm and final exams. Also, she is very kind and understanding. Also, for the final exam, there is 20 multiple choice and three essay questions. Overall, she is good teacher.
