She makes the content easy to understand and includes notes, so you can pay attention in class instead of scribbling. Note: Easy to understand doesn't mean easy to remember, so study.
She is one of the best professors in the nursing department. FAIR TESTS, with a lot of CONTENT! She is amazing!!
she is the best teacher ever.
i was very disappointed with fassetta. she does teach well and is a fair test giver, but i felt she was condesending at times when sought out for help. she also strayed off topic way too much. wouldnt take her again
OH MY GOD, SHE IS THE BEST!! She is so enthusiastic about sharing knowledge with us, you can see that she enjoys what she's doing; and she is so smart. We're one week before final and so far i have a 98% point average for her class. I will take her again for Pharm. Tip: Use Delmar or Mosby in the computer lab and watch the videos before her tests!
awesome professor. highly recommend
Great professor. Very entertaining pleasant to take anytime.
She was great!! taught patho in a really easy way, highly recommended!
Too much story telling in the classroom.
Fassetta is cool, she doesn't really use the text books because she makes her own notes. Her notes are excellent and never throw them away because they will be helpful in med-surg. Fassetta makes patho very understandable if you pay attention and use her study guides its an easy A
The material was very difficult for me, Professor Fasetta was ALWAYS receptive, concerned, and helpful. She is truly what a teacher is supposed to be like. Not afraid to put in some extra time to help give you to where you need to be. TAKE HER CLASS - AND IF YOU NEED HELP, DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK HER!!!! :)
Professor F is really sweet and very knowledgeable. She knows everything that is related to the health field. Her tests are all from her powerpoint. Pharm is basically ALL memorization! Just memorize all the medication and you will be getting A's in her class! Also, she is a little anal when it comes to homework grading!
Overall, a good teacher, but only take her if u can listen to a LONG LECTURE. She tells alot of stories, but that's how she emphasizes a point. She is quirky. You can't leave the room until break, chew gum, or do anything that annoys her. Seriously, if she is annoyed, she gets very fidgety.
Quirky? I am annoyed too if someone disrupts the class and puts his shoes on the chair after walking on a filthy sidewalk, full of sputum and spitted chewing gum. Professor F. simply remembers times when students were more considerate and had respect to each other and the faculty. I highly regard prof. Fassetta for her professionalism and manners.
She's very intelligent, approachable and wants her students to do well. She is willing to meet with you to go over things you're having trouble with on exams and papers. You can pass just by studying her notes, no need for the textbook. She tells stories that relate to whatever she's teaching so it makes hard concepts easier to understand.
Prof. Fassetta is an amazing professor and person. Extremely smart, funny and kind. The class content is hard by nature but her stories are very helpful and you will remember them long after the class is over. Very approachable and works with you. Would definitely have her again if given the chance.
sweet lady. everything is from the notes, i never used the book. unfortunately everything is on her exams so u have to study everything. But they are not difficult, just study. the only thing that was annoying is that she didnt always have her notes up for you to print so you had to copy them in class. def recommend taking her otherwise
The best teacher
Professor Fassetta is amazing, she is extremely intelligent and knows what she is talking about. She may go off track every now and then with her own stories but she always manages to cover all the material. Her tests are fair, except that her final had too many "choose all that apply" in my opinion. Must take her, she is amazing!
Had her for both Patho and Pharm 2. She is a GREAT professor. Very intelligent. You will LEARN A LOT from her. Must take her.
Had her over the summer and loved her! She's very sweet, approachable AND a great teacher. She made the classroom fun. It's a tough course, so I'm really glad I landed in her class. Study her notes and listen to EVERYthing she says in class. If you do that, you'll pass, no problem.
she is nice. Everything is from her power points so study those and you'll do fine. Make sure you know everything from the powerpoints. Patho is boring but the class isnt bad compared to other professors. She's not easy in pharm though
Had her for Patho and Pharm. I suggest you record the class because what she stresses in class is what is on test. I only studied the coursepak and focused on what she said in class and got a B. She TELLS you, if I didn't say it on class, it won't be on test. Study and you'll be fine. She's friendly, too.
Had her for pharm and patho nice lady patho she was a little tough would take her again
had her for patho and pharm1. i like her better in pharm than patho. she knows her stuff and is a good professor but her tests are a lil hard. she ask you stuff that is not in her notes. she does talk a lot and it gets a lil boring but she is really nice.
love the way she teaches. Listen attentively, and take a lot of notes! Everything you need to know for her test are in the notes! No text book needed She is very approachable and she knows her stuff! She takes the time to slowly explain the disease processes in a manner in which you would remember it weeks after. I would highly recommend her!
Half the class is failing... Missed a lot due to hurricane sandy and a lot was packed into the few lectures we have had.... 30 meds on one test is ridiculous...
She is a great professor but she does not mess around. You MUST study and take notes. She is extremely thorough and will test you on small details but they are important.. You'll learn a lot. I got an A studying mostly her notes and the homework scenarios/ques (always showed up!)Know all the little details! Great professor but she makes you work!
She is a little disorganized. However she is a nice lady and knows the subject well. A real tough grader on the paper.
My least favorite class. I didn't like coming to her class. She is all over the place. She doesn't hand out her notes. If it wasn't for everyone just sharing their notes with each other, I probably would have failed. She is also a tough grader, she doesn't curve her grades like many other professors.
Fairly good professor-you have to study her NOTES for the exams. write down everything she says! read her questions carefully they can get a little tricky. First exam is easy, but don't get lazy because exam 2, 2 & the final is a lot harder and very specific. Study hard, she's not afraid to fail you, but her class is not that bad if you study
She doesn't use the textbook at all. Do her homeworks and study everything that you can that you can gain from her from class b/c that's where the majority of the info is coming from. Be careful and take your time when you take her exams - she words her exams TERRIBLY!!! If you can avoid having her as a professor, do it!
God help you if you are registered for this Patho class. This woman is painful. Her exams come directly from the powerpoints, but she doesn't share the power points with you, so be prepared to speed type. She moves the PP's around all the time telling you that you don't need it all, but YOU DO! Try to avoid her if you can.
If you don't want to fail stay away from her. Very disorganized doesn't use text books, only uses her power point for test and she doesn't give them out. So you better know how to speed write. No compassion for anyone, doesn't curve at all, even though we had a natutal disaster and missed a lot of class time. Stay away.
She seems like she would be nice upon first impression. Then you realize she is ruthless, has no compassion and will fail you while smiling to your face. Her exams weren't fair b/c they come from info in the powerpoints which she DOES NOT ALLOW YOU ACCESS TO. Impossible to copy them down b/c she switches them before you're done and she doesn't care
OMG! If you dont want to fail, stay away from her! Takes a long time to reply to her emails. Disorganized, all over the place. TOUGH grader. And you better know how to write a paper, she will tear your paper apart! Stay away from her for patho.
Steer clear of Fassetta if you have ANY interest whatsoever in passing Patho. She is not clear at all in her teaching; she tells you more familial stories than anything... Overall a HORRIBLE professor. I can't even fathom why Molloy still has her as a member of the teaching staff.
Take notes, study them, know them in & out. That's what her tests are strictly on, she tells you what you need to know, if you know the notes you'll do good.
really isnt that bad people are just lazy its like any other nursing class you have to study and read the textbook if you do that you will be fine
Great professor. Teaches you everything you have to know, prepares you for tests, no surprises.
Dr. Fassetta is amazing , she is so knowledgeable, she knows her stuff she is very helpful , and she work hard at getting us ready for our exams , and teaching us what we need to learn, just show up, listen and pay attention, study practice ur math and you will do well.
Professor Fasseta is really good. She makes you learn your stuff. She is very organized but the content is very difficult. Shes a tough teacher and you have to work your butt off but you know your drugs when its all over.
Worst professor Ive ever had. She doesn't give the power point slides she puts up so she expects you to frantically take notes while listening to everything she's saying because SURPRISE, what she specifically says in class is on the test! Shes rude does not care about the students and down right unfair.I was always an A+ student until i had her.
worst professor ever. does not give you the notes or enough time to copy the notes. repeats herself several time. gives you a bunch of medications the last 2 classes. write down everything she says because she'll put it on the test. homeworks are an easy 100, tests are challenging because you'll never have all the notes. didn't use textbook
Prof Fassetta is great! She does not hand out notes but goes at a steady fair pace, if your lazy prob not the class for you. I recorded her which helped alot because the examples she gives in class will be on the test. The class isn't easy but if you take good notes and study hard an A is absolutely obtainable. I feel more than ready for Pharm 2.
Prof Fassetta goes at a quick pace but as long as your not lazy and take the notes you will be fine! I recorded the lectures to make sure I didn't miss anything. Barely used the textbook, as long as hw's are done its an automatic 100. She gives a review sheet and extra credit. I liked her very much and feel the bad reviews are not fair.
Had for pharm 1. Absolutely terrible. Lectures were torture to get through. I feel like I have not learned anything. All over the place and treats students like we're 11. Sweet but not a good teacher. Heard she is better for patho and pharm 2 but no way would I ever voluntarily take her again.
Took Professor Fassetta for Pharm 1. You will learn more about her long list of medical problems then you will about any pharmacology needed for the course. We have two classes left and we have not even learned a single medication. Brace yourself if your a human being who uses the bathroom because she will get personally offended by that.
She is the patho lady! If you are taking patho she is great. She tells you exactly what she wants . If you know everything she says in class and look through the textbook and do the paper you will pass.
Did not learn anything about disease process. Biochem heavy. Didn't follow course calendar. Everything was rushed on the last day, didn't even finish everything (but was tested on it). Doesn't give out her notes, impossible to keep up with her lecture (too busy writing everything she has on the board - don't miss anything, she won't go back).
Professor Fassetta is a very nice lady. Though she may at sometimes be a little bit unapproachable, I am very happy to have had her for patho. She doesn't give you the notes, but in the end, it helps you. id advice you to type your notes to be able to get more down. take her, you wont regret it! Her 3rd test is hard though, so be prepared!
be prepared to study! LOVE THIS WOMEN! dont even bother using the text book, take down everything she says and study!
I had her for Patho III and for Pharm. I would never have passed my boards or been prepared for the "REAL" world of Nursing if it wasn't for her. Yes, she expects a lot. You're in college now preparing to take care of someone's mother, father, child. How good do YOU think you should be? She may be hard, but there isn't another Prof like her!!
She is terrible. Hands back assignments last minute (after the final), talks about her own problems instead of teaching, patho is not a subject she should be teaching
Professor Fassetta is a great professor. Her test are right from her lectures and notes. If you re-read your notes while studying you will do great.
These comment's do not give her any justice. Just take notes along with her lecture and the tests are literally from you're notes. She also gives you BLUEPRINTS. Which are identical to the exams. This is nursing school people, of course it's hard. This professor is VERY generous compared to other patho professors!!
Dr. Fassetta is a great professor and person. I was very lucky to end up in her class. Her test are a little tricky but, study is a most. She gives BLUEPRINTS review's for each test which it helps you to focus in what she wants. Other professors throw you to the wild without anything. make sure you go to writing center to correct the paper.;))))
Pharm is definitely not her strong suit - she is slightly unclear with her delivery and she doesn't give you access to her power points. She does give you a blueprint before each test so that makes the tests easy to passdo well. You need to learn the skills and math on your own because she hardly goes over them in class.
Very sweet woman. Her lectures aren't hard to stay awake in and the way she teaches with her sense of humor is really great. Never opened the textbook once, MUST take notes because she doesn't give hers out, and listen to what she says in class (some of her stories end up being test questions).
must must record her lectures if you want to do well on the exams because the stories and things she says are possible test questions. She is a lovely lady, she can go on all day about Pathophysiology. Her lectures are long and boring but you need to pay attention, she doesn't give you the notes.
Professor Fassetta is an awesome teacher. She understands what she is teaching and really makes the effort to get students to understand. She draws diagrams and gives review sheets for the exams. Take good notes and you will do well in the class since tests are basically the notes. Paper is mandatory but she is very helpful. Recommend her for patho
Had Fassetta for Patho. The class in general is hard and packed with a ton of information. Her tests are directly from her notes. She uses power points which you should always write down because she does not post them! There was 1 paper which was fairly easy. Never opened the text. Basically don't miss class and study the notes.
The absolute worst 289 professor in the world. She needs to stick to just patho. Throw out the textbook. Her questions are confusing and her stories have nothing to do with what the course is meant to be. Lectures are long and boring . It is ridiculous how students do better in med surg than they do for this class. 289 is supposed to be way easier
This was her first semester teaching this class. I thought she knew a lot about what she was teaching but her tests were really tricky. I did better in med surg than this class but she was still a good teacher regardless. You do have to study for this class can't get around it without putting in some effort for her
love her, approachable and great
LOVE her! Bring your laptop to class and record her. Never recorded a prof before but it is ESSENTIAL to passing her class. Her recordings are what truly helped me & her notes. She doesn't give notes until the final, you have to type but it is doable. Fassetta truly loves & knows her pharm and I would take her again. I wish I took Pharm1 with her!
She does not give out her power points so unless you record her you will be writing like crazy and so busy by that you can hardly pay attention to anything she is saying.
I enjoyed her class. I learned a great deal from her lectures but her tests can be tricky! I made a lot of silly mistakes on exams. I am taking her for two classes next semester. Grades have not been posted yet but I am pretty sure I will end up with a B+ (My lowest grade at Molloy so far). You will have to work hard, know notes inside and out.
She doesn't give out her slides and when asked questions in lecture she usually responds with "it's in the textbook". She isn't helpful when asking for clarification. If you are not a teach-yourself kind of learned I would advise against.
She really is such a nice lady and very bizarre which makes her funny. The first 2 tests were good but its the 3rd and the final you really need to watch out for. For some reason she makes them tricky. You don't need the text just copy her powerpoints. And make sure you do well on her paper. its easy just a hassle. Only 40 questions on tests
Prof. Fassetta's notes were straight forward, she does not provide you her notes so you must copy them. Her tests come straight from the notes. She can be a bit condescending with a smile on her face and her class gets boring very quickly.
Record her lecture. Take good notes because she doesn't post them. Study hard for first three exams because final is ridiculous. Her lectures are very good and informative.
does not give out her notes, so bring laptop. And record (she uses lecture examples from her personal life). Does not curve grades on test, WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE POINT EVEN IF YOU'RE RIGHT. Gave paper in ONTIME, 6 weeks later... STILL NOT GRADED.
It's the last day of class and she has not lectures Musculoskeletal, pain or Neuro meds. She tells us "we have the notes" and she will test us on it for final. She is unrealistic and uncompromising.
Do not take this teacher, she doesn't give out notes, never finishes the material, puts questions on the exam she never went over, gives a huge paper that takes up the majority of your time all semester, all other patho classes have minor papers , she should talk less about herself and more about course material ! Avoid avoid avoid avoid avoid
Lecture can be boring and I would fall asleep at times. She's an okay person. The paper is a big grade booster so take it very seriously. Do all of her review sheets for her exams and it will help prepare for it. Take good notes as well because she does not give them out at ALL. Prepare yourself ahead of time for all the exams and study hard!!
DO NOT TAKE HER!!! She can smile in your face, tell you your doing fine and fail you. Her notes are not online, neither are her power points. Knows her material. Has ridiculously high expectations. Tests are tricky
Believes she's royalty at Molloy because her aunt taught at Molloy. This woman needs a reality check because nursing is hard and she has unrealistic expectations. Take her at your own risk! Make sure you work hard on the paper because she grades harshly.
I honestly disagree with the rest of thestudents. Seems like they were looking for an easy A.I took professor Fassetta & I must say I didnt even open the text book, I just study her notes. Her tests are straight forward if YOU STUDY!!!. take good notes and record her!! start working on your paper ahead of time. For the final focus on new material.
Not sure what the others are talking about. Take good notes, & do the study guides. Was expecting to have a miserable time with this professor but I honestly like her & learned a lot. Exams come straight from the notes + extra stuff she mentions in class. Just review your notes often & you should do well. 3 exams, 1 paper, + a final.
She's a nice lady I'm currently taking 3 courses in the summer and I felt like I learned the most from her! Tests are a little tricky by study her notes, and record her and you'll do fine! I really enjoyed her as a professor and I was very hesitant about her because of some of these ratings. She's great just do your work!
Professor goes on too many tangents and goes way too slow. Test 1 was very easy on women and male reproduction drugs, Test 2 only on cardiac pretty hard, Test 3/Final was everything else in the course. MADE TO FAIL! So beyond all the other Nur259 classes! Nice lady but needs to stay on topic and go faster on material that shouldn't be dragged upon.
Extremely tough course. Questions on test are mostly just give a name (only, not what its used for) of the medication and you have to recognize type and effects. More trouble than its worth for a 2-credit class.
Professor Fassetta has all her notes on powerpoints, so it is difficult to understand what she is talking about and copying everything at the same time. Recording her helps though. Her lectures were pretty boring, big research paper that she takes forever to grade (still haven't gotten mine back), tests are decent. I don't recommend taking her tho
Shes not bad, its just literally impossible to stay awake in her class, So recording her lectures and reading over her notes are key in order to pass.
Very hard class. Shes also not the kindest. You have to type/write pages and pages of notes since her notes are not accessible outside of class. My hands were just about ready to fall off. Its hard to pay attention because shes quite monotonous. Try to take a different professor.
Dr. Fassetta's class is not bad as these reviews. She DOES NOT give notes. However, record her or write down EVERYTHING she says in class. She also tells stories, which can show on exams. Review sheets are also given. If you listen to her and take notes, YOU WILL PASS. Her class is doable.
very kind and caring professor that really does care about her students. She does not give you copies of her powerpoint which is annoying but not the end of the world since they tend to be around 10 to 15 slides. She really knows what she is talking about and is one of the only professors that actually teaches and doesn't just reread what is up
6-8pg paper. 5 ati hws. Rest of grade is all exams. No extra credit. Exams were very challenging-not straightforward. Lots of material. Must read textbook. She does not give access to PowerPoints. Posts study guides which are way too cumbersome. Horrible at responding to emails, took 5 days. Very little office hrs
try to avoid her like the plague. she doesnt put the powerpoints online, so u have to take the notes yourself. She also talks so its almost impossible to write whats on the board and what shes saying. Her exams are hard and she grades on very few things.
Doesnt put lecture slides up online so make to write everything. Sometimes goes too fast with the slides and was not able to write everything down. Wouldnt take her again
Had her for 239 and 289. Had both classes secured until the finals. For Pharmacology she unloaded a lot of medications on us last minute when she was suppose to be doing that throughout the semester. Gives NO extra credit. NO homework. She will assign ONE PAPER, and pray you do good when its highly unlikely. Do not recommend.
Refers to herself as "reactor-woman" since she has taken legit every drug on the market; her stories really help. Doesn't post powerpoints so attendance is important, & make sure you do review sheets. DO NOT MISS AN EXAM!!!! I planned to do a makeup b/c of an emergency and she changed the 50 multiple choice to half fill in's without telling me!
The worst nursing professor ive had at Molloy so far. I would avoid her at all costs. Throws way too many meds at you because she runs out of time. No extra credit. Barely any office hours. The tests are all or nothing. Good luck if you take her.
Dr. Fassetta's tests are very case-study based (for NUR 289). They are not straightforward at all, and she doesn't give review sheets, so you have to do a ton of practice questions to do well. She doesn't give out her slides, so the whole time you copy notes, you can't pay attention to what she says. Also a VERY TOUGH GRADER! Avoid if you can.
Had her for the summer. All of her tests are straight from her notes, and the one paper we had was graded fairly. She has a lot of supplemental notes and videos on canvas that help. If you put in the effort to study and take notes, this will be a great course.
really hard grader
she is the worst nursing professor so far. would not recommend her at all. talk a lot. does not give powerpoint, talks fast and and don't give you enough time to take note. she really goes hard on grading her paper
I am currently taking the five main classes. Dr. Fassettas patho class I did not worry about all semester. She uses powerpoints in class, but yes, does not have them on canvas for you. Personally her class is not that bad as others make it seem. show up to every class to RECORD HER LECTURE, TAKE NOTES OF HER SLIDE, USE THE TEXTBOOK. youll be okay
I already left her a bad review but one bad one doesnt do her justice. Just avoid her!! If youre a self respecting tax paying citizen and value your education and time, take anyone else. If the cafeteria lady offers to teach you, take her before Fassetta. Wish I had 2 more thumbs so I could give her 4 thumbs down. Ask anyone who has taken her.
Nursing classes aren't easy in general but I felt this class was one of the easier ones. Yes, she doesn't give you the slides but she does give study sheets for the exams. Everyone saying she's a tough grader on the paper most not of followed her outline since I got a 99. Her exams aren't hard but the finale was pretty tough.
Dr. Fassetta knows her stuff and doesn't give you everything on a silver platter. She does tell too many stories that aren't particularly relevant re: her exams, but it's good to know and learn from. You REALLY have to put in the work, but like every nursing class, you get what you earn. Don't be intimidated by what everyone else is saying.
Fassetta was a terrible 229 professor. Her lectures are the worst thing ever. You sit thee for 3 hours and learn nothing. She babbles on for THREE FULL HOURS. She only likes to talk about herself and every disease and illness she is diagnosed with. Does not give you any power points. Gives review sheets. Try to void her if you can.
Her exams are straight forward and directly from her lectures. Listen to her examples and stories because they will be on the test. Literally listen to every word she says. No textbook needed and be specific on the patho paper.
She is by far the worst professor I have ever had at every College I have attended. Do not take her if you want to pass.
She doesnt care about her students, doesnt answer emails. Awful instructor. Im a self learner but had to get a tutor to help me cause she is all over the place on her notes and talk way to much about her personal life rather than do her job. Even my tutor felt bad when I showed the pic of her slides. She needS to be clear and straight to point
Don't listen to anyone who says she is a bad professor- she is AMAZING!! Her lectures are very in-depth and she explains everything very clearly. She speaks slowly and relates the medications to patho so it's easier to understand. Her tests are fair and she is very passionate. Her stories relate to the topic. Take her, she's great!
Professor Fassetta is very nice and cares about her students and wants them to do well. That being said, she does not post her lectures for the students online. To do well you HAVE to come to class and take notes or record her lectures. All her tests are based off of the material she talks about in class. The class is doable but you have to work.
I only had her for 289, and it wasn't bad at all. Make sure you record her lectures bc the stories and examples she mentions in class are on the test. She gives a lot of good feedback for the paper so make sure you follow what she says. You have to study a little even though it might seem like you already know the material.
If you want to do well in pharm RECORD HER LECTURES and spend the class time copying the notes from her slides . after class I would rewrite the notes while listening to the lecture and add info she would say. Questions from her exam come straight from what she says. Taking that extra time really makes the difference
Please do yourself a favor & don't take her. For the sake of your mental health & time. Ask her question after class? she rambles on for 10 minutes without letting you speak. I got 90s (209 & 139) but for her classes i got in the 70s (229 & 239) on 1st test. She & her friends have a plethora of medical conditions & she tells you all about
Avoid taking her class at all cost! Nice woman however her study guides/material never match the exams. Ask her a question for clarification and she gives you the most vague answer or goes on to tell the class about all of the medications shes on. Basically the entire semester is her telling the class about her and her friends health problems.
Take any other professor if you have the option. Youll pay thousands of dollars to take her class only for her to lecture about the medication shes on. Exams are tough and her review sheets dont correlate to them.
Will go on long tangents about medications. Boring lectures. Only took her at the time because there was barely any pharm classes. Generally avoid
Professor Fassetta is alright, she def talks a lot but please pay attention to her. Ik the topic is boring but if you listen to her stories and try to do well from the beginning, you may pass. I hope I pass. I f-ed up the 3rd exam bc I had personal problems going on, but ik thats not an excuse. Took a final today, was ok. paper is difficult tho
The professor goes off on a tangent, deviating from lecture to her personal life. Her 3-hour lectures are long and boring. If she doesn't talk about her personal life, she'd probably be finished with the lecture at the halfway point. She has a few tests that are heavily weighted and make you put the work in.
She is a pretty good semester, always came to class with a good attitude. But like everyone mention before she LOVES to talk about herself and her friends during lectures. Sometimes it is great (helps for the test), other times I just need her to get to the point. She a tough grader for her paper so I would recommend going to the writing center
Dr. Fassetta is a very nice, caring professor. If you pay attention in class, participate, and review her panopto recordings, you will do well in this class. She will lecture you to death, but she will not test you on material she did not discuss in class, so pay attention. Course is like 75% basics and 25% drugs, so it doesn't get hard until late
Fassetta is very sweet and caring. Her powerpoints, panopto recordings, and additional sources prepare you for exams. She will only test you on material that was spoken about. Some concepts are difficult, but most is understandable. She is always open to questions and concerns and responds well to emails. Pay attention and take good notes.
Doesnt give extra credit. Tests are ridiculously difficult and unclear. Multiple long study guides that do not correlate to the tests. I was always unclear on what to study and I normally get As. She also graded my paper ridiculously low when Im a good writer and she claimed. I used words that didnt exist, which they do. Seriously dont do it!
Professor Fassetta is very kind and caring. She is very scattered and falls way behind on the syllabus. Make sure you study all her notes and write down the specific stories she talks about because she tests you on them. She is a tough grader on the one paper given.
Professor Fassetta is such a nice person but not a great professor. Beware, you may fall behind. First test was doable but she began to fall behind and it all went downhill after that. Tests are insanely hard, like almost impossible. She gives review sheets but you stress more on teaching yourself than reviewing. Good luck
Taken for pathophysiology and NUR289. Powerpoints are clear and specific, and were all provided on canvas at the beginning of the semester. Course outline and grading was thorough and transparent. Lectures go for full class time because she tells lots of stories, but they are relevant. I wish she taught more classes! Would definitely recommend her
I loved Dr. Fassetta. The way she teaches helps you really understand the information. Her exams are straightforward as long as you study and put the work in. She did fall behind the lecture schedule but only asked questions about what she taught. The paper is lengthy so start it ahead of time. 100% recommend!
Dr. Fassetta is such a sweeetheart. She really wants her students to do well. Her powerpoints are usually pretty clear/through and her tests are always fair. Do the study guides she gives you for extra practice and you'll be fine. She also posts panoptos which are almost exactly what she lectures in class, so you can always go back!
By far the worst professor I've ever had in college, and I have been enrolled in a few different schools. Her lectures are dreadful to sit through and her tests are insanely hard. Would not recommend her to anyone.
I had Professor Fassetta for pharmacology and pathophysiology and that was the biggest mistake that I ever made. They say save your two fails for patho and pharm but her class was much worse than I thought. Her lectures are long and dreadful along with her panaptos which are even longer. Her review sheets do not help and her tests are impossible.
One of the most unhelpful professors I've had. She puts material on her tests that she never once taught or mentioned. The one paper is graded VERY harshly. She spends most of every lecture telling us about every med she's ever been on for all her ailments. I don't know a lot about pharm after this course but i do know a lot about her med problems
Avoid her at all costs. She is a nice lady but she just reads off the powerpoint and talks about her personal life and experiences. Her test are difficult and they are worth a majority of your grade.
Do everything in your power to avoid taking a class with her. the information is not difficult she just wastes your time the entire 3 hour lecture and has no idea how to teach. she needs to retire
She will over explain a topic to make sure you know the information. She gives extensive resources to use if you are struggling in her class, and she is willing to meet with you outside of class. Her lectures can get boring, but if you listen to her stories about each disease, it will help you to study and do well on the exams!
a lot of people do not like this professor but i honestly really liked her. she is such a sweet lady who genuinely wants her students to do well. I wrote my entire paper wrong and i emailed her about it and she told me I did not have to redo it. My only complaint is I wish she gave more of a focus for the final
Professor Fassetta is a very nice lady. There are very few grading opportunities. Only thing that helped a little was her panoptos. Her lectures are very long and power-points are confusing. We were very behind the whole semester because she like to tell stories. Study guides are a waste. Tests are hard and everyone got unexpected bad grades.
Dr. Fassetta is so sweet. I had her for both patho and pharm. She is a little slow at times and lectures are long. But if you pay attention and study the powerpoints you will do well on her tests. Tends to go off topic sometimes and does keep you the whole lecture. However I enjoyed having her. Taking her for pharm 2 next semester too.
Please do everything in your power to avoid taking ProfessorFassettaHer study guides are extensive and have absolutely nothing to do with the testsThere are few grading opportunities and will not go over what you got wrongTests are impossible and no way to know what will be on themShe talks about what drugs shes on anhealth issues entirety of class
I felt like there was a reliable method to doing well in Dr. Fassetta's classes; she is very consistent. I studied her powerpoints, took notes during lecture, and listened to panoptos. Exams felt fair based on the powerpoint/lecture content. Memorable lectures. If you take the time to learn the panopto material you will do well.
Focused on powerpoint, panopto, and lecture content and found the exams totally reasonable. Electrolyte content was challenging - supplement your studies with outside sources. Tough content - but taught well and thoroughly. Didn't use the study guides or textbook.
Professor Fassetta is one of the worst professors I have ever had the displeasure of taking a course with. When meeting with her to discuss exam 1, she provided no feedback, only to watch the panoptos which i had done. She is very unprofessional, waiting 4 hours after grades were due to post our paper grades (due a month before final) DO NOT TAKE
This professor is one of the worst here. She posts study guides that do not correlate at all to exam material. Get ready to have no idea what the content on the exam will be, it is extremely specific material that is not covered in lecture. Title of the class is pathophysiology, yet barely any pathophysiology is taught. Take anyone else
Knowledgeable, but talks too much about herself and tells way too many stories about her past. Her Panopto recordings are great, definitely helped me in her class. This is a difficult class, you have to listen to all of her lectures. Don't bother disputing any questions, she won't give you credit. I did not use the textbook.
I took Fassetta for pharm 2 last year and someone told me how bad her reviews are and I completely did not understand. She is a wonderful professor, she tells you stories about medications that make you remember & makes it easy to stay engaged in class. All nursing classes are hard, she is no harder than any other nursing professor. 10/10 take her
You will have to teach yourself in her classes because she spends most of it talking about herself and telling stories. If not, you will be behind like she is behind. she provides very in-depth panoptos & study guides. She graded the final paper a month and a half late & AFTER our finals. Exam reviews were not informative can't see what u got wrong
Professor Fassetta is the most unapproachable person I've ever met. Have questions about the exam? Don't bother asking. She will tell you to watch the panoptos and study the review sheets neither of which have any correlation to the exam. After the exams you cannot see what you got wrong, which is frustrating. Do yourself a favor and don't take her
I pay thousands of dollars for this class, i study my butt off, but you think you have the right to jam pack the tests with trick questions. Your lecture is a complete waste of time. So many things were on the test that you never said would be. Like you think someone who has been doing this for 30 years wouldn't be absolutely terrible. Just retire.
Not sure why her reviews are so bad , i was honestly scared when she was the only one that fit my schedule, im actually glad i took her for patho , YOUVE GOT TO STUDY and that goes for every class, not sure if everyone is just expecting an easy A or something , This is nursing school for you ! I advice to record all her lessons and youll be fine.
u need to watch her oanopts and read outside sources because u will not pass with using fassettas lecture alone
Pharm 2 is a hard class, but she makes it 10x harder for no reason. The only way to pass her class is to listen to her insanely long panopto's, and u better pay attention to every small detail she says bc u have no idea what she will quiz on. many ppl will be held back bc they failed out her class. if u can avoid taking her, i strongly suggest u do
She's an OK professor but she tries to make everything harder than it actually needs to be. If she's the only professor left take her cause you need the course.
She is my nightmare, the worst teacher I've ever encountered. I honestly don't know why she's still teaching, she might be good for some students, but her teaching style is very passive, she gives lots of resources but they don't really tend to help, and she makes the tests 100x harder than they need to be. Also, 10 PAGE PAPER AND IS A HARD GRADER.
she was the worst professor ever Its time for her to expire. she is horrible for pharm and patho all she does is talk about how she loves her dermatologist and had skin cancer. other professors laugh when they know you have her. she makes up her own tests questions that make no sense. she doesn't do office hours and her study guides don't help.
DO NOT TAKE HER! by far the worst professor/teacher I have ever encountered in all of humanity. Yaps for 3hrs and says stories that waste your time and money. Only graded assignments are exams and paper. Half of her questions don't correlate with what is the topic of learning. More than a 1/3 withdrawed and 1/3 failed. Don't even try taking her.
You're paying for this class to listen to her talk about how she's allergic to every medication and her health problems. She'll stay on one slide the whole class time. She'll also put the most random questions on her exams, which are not even on her powerpoint's. So many students withdrew. Please take anyone else but her she needs to retire!
If you struggle with test taking please choose a different professor. It is apparent that she loves Pathophysiology, but she has a tough time explaining things. Her slides are very unorganized and too broad to learn from. She will off on tangents during lectures and will tell stories that do not help. She is not helpful or willing to guide students
Do not take her, don't understand why she is allowed to teach so many classes when many students have had to withdraw from her class. It was literally more than half the class, unbelievable. If that's not a sign idk what is. Would not recommend. Try to avoid at all cost.
just simply don't take her. lecture heavy of straight three hours of bs. I cried way too much because of this class. I almost failed up until the final which I pulled my first ever all nighter for. I passed the class by one point. almost was the reason why I wanted to give up on nursing school because of how traumatizing her class was.
just no..
stay away, thats all
Whatever you do, don't take pathophysiology with her. Her slides are guidelines but you need extra notes from her lectures to do well on tests. Even with that, and studying an ABSURD amount, I still did terrible. Her tests are so much harder than they should be. The questions she asks are out of left field. I guess I'll be retaking this course...
As long as you write almost everything she says you'll be ok. She's very lecture-heavy with a boring granny voice but if you listen you'll get a lot from her class. She also has panoptos with the exact same "script" as class lectures but be ready to pay close attention and try to understand rather than memorize you'll do well
She teaches a lot of information and the exams can be hard but study the best you can. I would say patho is a harder class than pharm with her. :/ If I can pass you can
This Professor is sweet but SNEAKY! During the day exams, she sits by the computer and looks at everyone suffer. She literally is smirking because she knows that her students are having a hard time. She's honestly the worst Professor I've ever had and I never complain about professors. But she is just the worst. Whatever you do, don't take her!!!!!
Professor Fassetta's class is lecture-heavy and can be a real challenge, but the Panopto recordings are very helpful. To do well, you need to stay engaged, take detailed notes, and use tools like Unstuck AI for study prep. Not the most approachable, but putting in the work can pay off.
tbh don't recommend. wouldn't take her again.
If you must take this NUR 2290 along with other courses, DO NOT TAKE HER. Her exam questions are tricky. Even if you are fully vested you will have tough time. Her last two exams scheduled towards the very end of semester. so, it is difficult for students to withdraw earlier and save money. But, I don't think either Molloy or her cares about that.
Dr. Fassetta is honestly one of my favorite professors. Her exams are tough, but as long as you pay attention in class, you will do well. She is so kind and wants us all to do well. I would recommend her!
She spends the whole class/ semester taking forever to bet through lessons and we are never prepared for tests and quizzes. its the same as her patho class. stay away from her I had to drop the class, and it will only get worse because Molloy keeps adding more classes with her.
You will learn so much by taking her. Listen to all the pronoptos, take notes in class, and you will be fine. I personally loved her, and will always be appreciative that she was my professor for pathophysiology. Once you put in the work, you will be rewarded with knowledge and a good grade.
BEST TEACHER!! She is the sweetest professor and is willing to help. All these negative are not accurate. If you put in the work, you WILL do well. She is amazing! Take this class.
I would try to not take her if there are other options but she isnt horrible. Very nice lady but her lectures drag out. Watch the panoptos over before taking the test and take notes. She puts tricky questions on the exam so read carefully. Not hard to pass but you have to commit alot of time to her exams. She does zoom reviews before tests so attend
STAY AWAYYY. Had to drop her classes and Molloy doesn't take complaints against her seriously.
By far the worst professor ever , i regret taking her everyday. She is horrible and loves to watch everyone suffer during her exams. Her exams are all made up questions she makes her self and she tests you on outside information that isnt in the lectures prior. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!! she is the reason half the class is left back a semester now.
She is amazing. Lectures are very long. She uploaded review sheets before class and panoptos. I would fill in the review sheets during class as she reviewed the topics. I watched the panoptos and added that to my notes. I studied that and passed every exam with high marks. Put in effort and u pass. she also hosts reviews before exams which helps!
She is so bad. She makes her test questions so specific. I am worried I will not pass.
She rushes the 2nd exam cause she takes FOREVER to teach and barely goes over whats on the test. You have to guess basically and know EVERYTHING. Had to drop after the 2nd test i was not gonna pass. 3 months behind and i know if i had a different teacher i would have passed. she was the only option when picking my classes... set up for failure 😤
Horrible exams. She literally sets you up to fail. Has no empathy towards students.
Goes super slow for lecture which you would think would be good for pharm however the questions she puts are absolutely outrageous. U need to know every detail and for the final she doesn't even teach 4 of the topics since she goes so slow. First test was alright, second was brutal, and final studying doesn't even help. B+ was by the grace of God
She legit didn't help at all had to study every inch of the powerpoints. Even then only passed with a B+. She's not hard just put the work in.
She's a very sweet, friendly lady. But I would not take her again. SOOOO much material that my friends who had other professors did not have to cover. I had so many more units than students with other profs, and the units are DENSE. She gets real in depth with how much we need to know. Exams are kinda hard too. I would avoid if possible.
A COMPLETE JOKE OF A CLASS + PROFESSOR. DO NOT TAKE
Work hard and you'll do great!!
Worst professor
HORRIBLE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Class is boring, and her tests are difficult. Half my class failed. I've never had to study harder than I did with her. Write down everything she says and listen to her panoptos over and over again. Sadly you do have to memorize and teach yourself everything. But if i survived you guys can too. watch the simple nursing videos.
If you can get another professor, please do so. Takes forever to go through topics leading to not covering all content for the final. Her exams are extremely difficult and she is trying to trick you. When listening to her panoptos you will have to speed them up. Talks more about her own reactions to meds rather than teaching them.
Terrible choice! Tests are extremely difficult.
three hour lectures are a lot and there is a lot of material. if you study the slides and make quizlets you should be fine but you need to put the work in. she tends to keep u after exams to have lecture and then will just research again the following week bc she knows no one was listening. exams are straightforward and not nclex format questions.
worst professor at molloy. makes it impossible for you to pass. teaches you pretty much nothing you have to teach yourself everything
If you value your sanity, your GPA, or the will to live, do not take this class. I wouldn't wish this course on my worst enemy. The lectures made absolutely no sense, the assignments felt like they were written by someone who actively hates students, and the grading? Let's just say the lottery has better odds than getting an A here.
i have done nothing but study extremely hard for this class and am still failing. her tests are terrible. She doesn't teach, my whole class has to teach ourselves the material. She doesn't give any extra assignments to boost our grades besides one paper, which will take her a month to grade. SAVE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH AND AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!
Spends a lot of time on one slide but tries to rush through the rest when a test is coming up. The reviews and test do not match up. Half of the lecture material does not add up with the class. Does not curve or give assignments to help. Just no. Failing this class delays you a whole semester and she defiantly will.
Her teaching style definitely isn't for everyone, I rewatched her panoptos before the tests and never had a problem with the questions I feel like they were pretty fair overall. Definitely don't treat the class like its just an elective or something though, she expects a lot but gives you everything you need so stay ontop of it all.
Save your time and money! This professor's slides are very hard to understand and have many images that don't explain anything. She will give 3 exams, a cumulative final, and a paper. If you do not get over a 75-77% on your first test.. might as well withdraw from the class. The exams and content will only get harder. Study HARD to pass.
Fassetta is a rlly bad teacher, she yaps for the whole time and doesn't really teach or connect with the students. She constantly goes off topic about different things and her tests BARELY reflect what is taught or discussed in class. She loves seeing her students fail with a smile, and she is fully aware that her tests are not fair
She genuinely treats this like a HS class in the worst way possible. WE r paying for her salary yet she expects mandatory attendance, skip once n u might as well give up. She is very maniacal and her tests are completely unfair and she knows it. She js goes off topic. truly a grave mistake of me to take her for BOTH PHARM N PATHO.
