Very helpful when you had a question and very understanding about late assignments. The best teacher I have had by far at TCC.

very helpful and nice. wants the students to truly learn. fair in grading. you will learn a lot by actively participating in her class.

She is just great in teaching, and always clear when she is trying to state her point. However this class is hard if you are trying to go for an A. Because she will turn the papers back after first grading, and we will turn in revise after a week, and after the second grading, she will average it out. And I think the first grade is pretty tight.

She is by far my favorite teacher at this school. I had her 2 years ago and still talk to her on a regular basis. She is very helpful and one of the nicest people I have ever met. I love her and wish I could take her again.

She was always very clear on assignments. She always went out of her way to help when needed and her office hours were great. She treats her students with much respect. She doesnt expect you to be a good writer, as long as you follow her directions. Wish I could of had her for eng 102

She is very accessible, flexible, and helpful provided you meet her halfway! Her class incorporates real world experiences in the community through service learning. Kudos!

Very good teacher. I got an A- out of her and thought I should have gotten an A, but that's the way it goes. Very helpful to students and did NOT play favorites by any means. I would recommend Mary for anybody, whether or not you are a good writer, because she will bring out the best in you!

EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND A VERY SWEET INDIVIDUAL. SHE IS ALWAYS WILLING TO WRITE RECOMMENDATIONS AND EDIT PAPERS FROM OTHER CLASSES. QUIZZES ARE EASY IF YOU PAY ATTENTION.

Mary is a great teacher. She makes her classes fun and enjoyable. She can be kind of disorganized. She kept changing due dates and if you miss a class you may not know whats due when. Overall she is a great teacher and I wish I could take her for 102.

She is one of the nicest teachers I've met, and very willing to do whatever it takes to get you a good grade. However, if you're on top of English, don't take her. It was a very elementary class, and EVERYTHING is done in groups. Even individual assignments/presentations.

Mary Fox is a great English teacher. If you've taken English 101 with someone else in the past and you didn't do well, retake it with Mary Fox. You'll do great and she will help you to really understand what you are supposed to be doing. She's very pleasant :)

She is one of the best teacher in TCC! Her classes are filled out really fast so it could be harder to get in but it is so worth it. She is really nice and people who knows her would know that I'm not lying :) She helps you with all the things you need help with and she makes everything easier for us. Mary is a great teacher. While she may be scatter-brained at points, you will enjoy her class. The weakly debates are fun and interactive. Mary is funny and will make you want to come to class. English 102 with her is an easy A, but one you will feel accomplished with. I would definitely take another class with her.

She is a very kind teacher. She can be very helpful but a bit lost herself about specific grading criteria. Each required paper that had to be written was very vague. Debates were simple enough. There was no final and the tests were easy if you just read the material. The only issue is that the writing assignments were very vague.

She was really nice and funny professor. Have any question? just ask her. 2-3 discussions/week with 3 responses are your homework. You have to go to class, participate, talk, and enjoy class or you will lose your points in this category. She will make you wants to come to class. In general, she's nice but a tough grader.

Mary is a friendly professor who is amazing at making the class feel like a safe spot. She has us free write to get our brains running and ready for writing, and allows us to choose our own topic for paper that we write. We can also write at our own pace, which is beneficial as well. This class's a hybrid class, and we had online activities.

She is really sweet teacher and caring. The only thing I would say needs more improvement is time on essays. We should start the first essay after the first week. Then have more time for others harder ones. Her expectations are very high for essays. She lets students turn in their essays for help and she give you feedback before they're do.

Best English teacher at tcc. We were only graded on 3 papers. About 2-3 discussion posts per week which are pretty easy.

She puts so much effort. An experience where you are able to be successful. She is very well structured and very clear. Helpful if you seek the help. In her class you have to be able to meet her half way and not expect her to just help you. Like anything in life, if your car gets a flat tire dont sit and cry, ask for help !!

Mary Fox is not only a teacher in class, she make sure that everything is going good with you inside or outside the class to be a success student. Most of the student knows her well because she will be more than happy to help you even if you done with her class.

I actually took ENGL 103 with Mary Fox. I recommend taking 103 instead of 102 with her. Everyday we discusses our learnings from the previous readings of the night before and how its relates to ourselves. This class was definitely fun and not too hard. We have discussion posts twice a week, and a weekly reflection. Two papers and one project.

Mary was one of the best teachers I have had. She is so helpful if you need any help and she truly cares about each and every student.

She is a really good teacher who has a good work ethic. late work you can get for partial credit which is nice. She makes sure to communicate with the class about what the assignments are and how she can always improve as a teacher.

Super easy A even if you aren't good with English. The class could have been completely online she was slow to get grades back but she gave a little feedback with all the assignments. you only have 3 papers and 2 discussions every week, they never to more that an hour, only ones that did were rough drafts.

Writing essays is extremely hard for me, though w/ Mary she made it super easy to now what words I should write spew out in paper. There are a lot of chances for extra credit. She is an angle and really cares about her students ability to to be good at writing, she also has an outside job in teaching writing to juvy kids.

Hands down the beat English teacher youll ever find. Professional, uplifting, always finding ways to help students no matter their writing level. She will sit down one on one with students to help them improve their writing. Go over your work even before you turn it in. She is all about your success.

Personally, I think Mary was a good professor. Due to covid, all my classes were online so email was the main source of communication. Mary will reply quickly to your emails, and if you have a specific question, she will reply with in-depth answers. Mary genuinely cares and will help you if you reach and show that you care as well.

Prof. Fox was a really amazing professor. There was quite a bit of writing, but she provided lots of help and good feedback, and really cares about the students' thoughts and analyses. Very kind, very helpful, and we covered a lot of good subjects. It was obvious she really cared about her job and students. Highly recommend.

Apart from being an awesome teacher, Mary is a really sweet person and always checks in to see how her students are doing. There is a research paper in part with the government class if you are in learning community with polsci202, and it is long but she grades fair. Discussion post, easy quiz, and writing assignment each week. I loved her!

Ms. Fox, and I am not exaggerating when I say this, is the most compassionate and understanding professor I have ever had the pleasure of encountering in all my years of school. She will go out of her way to help you to her best ability when you have any trouble and will encourage you to do whatever it is that's hard for you to your best ability.

She is very kind, inclusive, and flexible. Sometimes the instructions for assignments can be vague, but she is responsive and gets back to you quickly if you email her a question. If you are struggling with at-home difficulties, she will give you extra time to work on assignments. I wish the class would've been in person.

I took her class the prior quarter. Now this quarter I'm in a Humanities class that makes Mary and her English class really stand out as an instructor. She is socially conscious of her students. She encourages participation in an organic way. Her communication skills are clear and compassionate. She cares about you and what she teaches.

Mary is one of the best instructors Ive had at TCC. She provided a lot of detailed feedback, shes quick with grading, she provides all of the reading so no textbook is required, and if you do the assigned work you will pass. 10/10 recommend!

Mary is really the best English professor anyone can ask for. I'm taking Engl&102 next quarter and wish she was teaching it. All of her feedback are so great bc knowing I'm terrible at writing her comment lift me up. All of my past teacher had always made me feel terrible bc of my writing but this class you will get all of the resources you need.

I recommend Mary Fox to everyone. I haven’t been in college for years so I’m so happy I took her because she actually taught us the steps into writing a research paper. She made sure her students stay motivated & provided great feedbacks as well. One chapter reading/videos, one discussion, one quiz & one short writing paper each week.

She gives you so many resources for help, and always answers quickly any questions I have on canvas. She gives great feedback, and I literally can't think of any changes I would make to the class if I could. 10/10 easy money

Mary is a super kind and caring professor. For English 102 there was one paper you work on in a group and submit at the end of the quarter. She grades late assignments and is understanding if you miss class. Another thing to add, she allows all assignments to be resubmitted after receiving grading/feedback for full points.

Ms. Fox is a very understanding professor. She allows you to turn in late work without penalty, and she can give good advice if you ask for it. However, her class is very slow-paced, and most of her assignments are tedious and busy work. You have the whole quarter to work on one research paper, and there are many helpful resources she provides.

Mary Fox was one of my inspirations coming to this class. She grades very easy and her feedback is on point. I would definitely take this professor again if I had the opportunity. She brings in a diverse and inclusive environment and she would gladly help if you are in need of trouble. She also grades full points if you turn in missing work. 10/10

Honestly best teacher. Her assignments were VERY clear and understandable. She was honest with scoring and had tips for better grades. She made assignments easy and not much reading at all. She responded fast and answered all questions.

Professor Fox is one of the sweetest, most genuine teachers I've ever had. She grades very easily and accepts basically all late work with no grade penalty. She seems genuinely interested in reading your writing and provides good, supportive feedback. If I had to nitpick, her class was almost too easy. I love her though.

Very compassionate professor, who genuinely wants you to pass. Lots of small assignments throughout the quarter. There's only one research paper, which she has you start working on like halfway through the term. Overall, really great professor cannot recommend her enough.
