Very informative & knowledgable. She's always willing to bend over backwards to help you. If you attend lecture a majority of the time & put in a decent amount of study time, it is easy to get an A in her class. I do agree that tests are long, detailed & in-depth, but they're ok. Great Professor!!

there were so many students in my class that like to complain about how Mary was tricky or hard. IT'S COLLEGE!. Mary is very straight forward, helpfull and smart. She makes it impossible to fail if you only put in the effort. Extra credit, handouts, study guides, online notes... Mary was sweet!

good prof. clearly and interestingly states material....tests are hard but go ok if you study her notes.... give LOTS of xtra credit. I got C's on 2 of the 3 tests and a B+ on the final and still got an A

Good teacher. She is very nice and will take time to explain material you don't understand. Gives you lots of oppurtunity for extra credit. You do have to study to pass her tests though.

fox is sooo great, all the extra credit boosts your grade, now shes even giving attendance points at the end of class, even if your answers are wrong. i highly recommend her over dr meyer who i had first quarter. she understands that we are human too! things happen and all you got to do is TRY

Mary is one of the best professors I've ever had. She's so understandng and really wants her classes to be something you learn from, not something you resent having to take. She makes effort to clearly answer questions and give good feedback.

Very in depth coverage and covers as much material as possible. Extra credit opportunies really help. Go to class, take quizzes, look over notes, pay attention and you'll do fine. Very prompt with email response, always seemingly available. She makes sure you are well prepared and have the resources for exams. Follow the materials she gives = an A!

Extremely helpful! Prof. Fox will do as much as she can to help her students become successful. A lot of extra credit and is very helpful to the grade. If the effort is put forth, any grade can be achieved.

Very good explanations, printable fill in the blank notes so you know what to bring to class and what to exactly study for class. Easy A if u study the notes from class. You will learn alot in this class. Highly reccomend!

fox is one of the best A&P professors! she really explains how things work and relates them to medical situations etc...she is also willing to help you outside of class. lots of opportunities to get points, exams are difficult though so study!!

Great Professor. She explains processes and concepts in the easiest possible ways, which is easy to understand and comprehend. I took Anatomy with two different professors and Professor Fox was by far the better of the two. Her lecture notes go right along with her exams which makes it easy to study.

Dr. Fox is a fantastic lecturer, and makes the complex and detailed subject of Anatomy & Physiology a true pleasure to learn. The exams and lab practicals are hard, but they are based on the material covered... so if you study you will do fine, and learn a lot in the process. Dr. Fox is one of the best professors I've ever had.

lectures are boring, exams are long and she annoying. Test are loaded with questions that are a paragraph long each and there are 5 multilple choice answers for each that are a sentence long. I've time it and a person using the total aloted time has 37 seconds per question. then she has th nerve to lecture us the next day for getting them wrong.

What can I not say good about Dr. Fox. She is the most helpful teacher I've ever had and is very approachable. She's very straightforward about what you need to know. She explains things well and is just all around a great teacher!

Anatomy is not an easy class by any means. Prof. Fox is very nice and answers questions for students. However, she doesn't give alot of extra credit anymore. Her exams are pretty hard. If you do your study guide you should be able to do pretty good.

Lectures have a lot of rambling in them that do not have anything to do with important concepts. Loses students' interest quickly with her rambling. Tests on average are 100+ questions. Will often double relevant material for an exam the class before the exam. Avoid her if you can.

There are quizzes every single day of class that account for 25% of your grade. The notes are all online but attendance is mandatory just to take the quiz in the beginning and the end. She does not make clear what is important yet presents tons of information during class while one is trying to focus on the powerpoint notes, making it hard to focus

Very nice lady. I first had her in lab as a TA and was very helpful. Then had her in lecture and much better than my previous teacher and really helped me excel. Very good teacher and i reccomend her

Difficult teacher because you had no idea what to study for on tests. Class was mandatory for quizes that were 10% of our grade. She was incaple of teaching a lecture of 250 students if someone was talking which is necessary because she expects you to know the information that she's teaching like a grad student and note 200 pp slides in a class.

She is awful! Yes she gives you the notes with just blanks to fill in. But she talks so fast it is impossible to write an extra information down or in simpler terms. She focuses on making sure you memorize all of the information and not on helping you comprehend it and how it all works together. Her tests include everything.

So easy and straightforward. She asks PRS questions for attendance and posts notes on Blackboard with blanks for you to fill in. She gives a ton of extra credit- around 40 points which is pretty much an entire letter grade. Plus she is very nice and approachable.

She's really good with blackboard. She posts everything you need to know! She's sooo SMART and EXTREMELY helpful. She offers many open study session which you should attend. The subject isn't easy, but she makes it very reasonable. Study your notes because there are quiz pts to be earned at the begin of class! Lecture is big but it's interesting

She is a pretty cool teacher. Her subject is very difficult and you have to study really hard to do well in her class but she is extremely helpful and approachable. She posts all of the lecture notes on blackboard and is really good at posting grades. The quizzes before each class help your grade alot at the end of the quarter. NOT A SLACKER CLASS!

Fox is a very reasonable prof- you know exactly what to expect. She is very helpful if you go to her office hours and offers a&a sessions before each test. class can be boring depending on the body system. attendance is not require but there is a PRS quiz at the beginning of each class- easy points and it forces you to keep up with studying.

If you really want to get a good grade then she is the right teacher. Class attendance is crucial because of PRS quizzes. The xlass is hard but she makes it easy and fun. I would recommend her anytime to anyone who is ready to do smoe reading. Best so far.

Easily one of the best profs I've had, especially for such a big lecture class. She makes very complex ideas clear and comprehensible. The everyday quizzes help boost your grade and there's always at least 50 x-credit points available at the end of the quarter. She always makes sure you know what to expect on exams, also. I highly recommend her.

Professor Fox is a great teacher when you attend class regularly and take advantage of her SI sessions. She posts study guides which are ver batem what will be on the test. Get the PRS points because they add up to some bonus at the end!

I have only had her for lab thus far. There is a definite need to keep up with studying what happened in lab. DEFINETLY attend open labs as much as possible and you will do fine!

Mary Fox is GREAT! I've had her 2 quarters for Anatomy and she makes a hard subject my favorite. She gives fill-in notes for in class and daily quizzes but you really learn a lot. The class is not easy but she'll always help if you ask. Her tests are straightforward and she gives a study guide. Overall she's just a great professor!

Professor Fox is very approachable. She can do information overload. Somewhat difficult but she offers extra credit and. Very possible to get an A or B if you put forth the effort and prepare for PRS quizzes

What a horrible teacher! Teaches like we are graduate students. Test are loaded with everything possible which makes studying a hasssle and drag. Stupid pre-lecture quizzes that add up if you do bad. Fill-in the blank notes are literally the size of a book. Don't take her.

I had to post a comment after the last post. Dr. Fox is very nice & approachable. She offers PRS quizzes which are difficult but after 70 points & the rest are bonus. Since I went to class daily, I ended up with 25 bonus points. She had 6, two hour long review sessions before the final. If u go to class, memorize your notes you should get an A or B

She is honestly a great teacher. Always offering help to students. Her notes are super-simplified which makes studying easy. PRS quizzes in class are helpful because they are just like exam questions, and earn you a lot of easy points.

I was required to take A&P with this women for three quarters and it was absolutely dreadful. Her exams were made up of multiple choice questions where you have to pick the best answer. Lecture = all powerpoints everyday with PRS used for quizes and questions throughout class on topics you've never discussed. Recommend to find a different teacher.

Professor Fox has been one of my favorite professors at UC. The material she teaches is difficult, but she provides fill-in-the-blank notes, and does everything she can do to help you understand. I would not skip class b/c of PRS points. Very easy to get in touch with and extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend her.

I took her for all three quarters of A&P. She's a very nice person who really wants her students to do well. Provides her powerpoints in bullet point form with blanks, so as long as you go to class you don't miss a thing. PRS are easy points, and you get a lot of extra credit. Tests are pretty easy. Highly recommend. She's a great adviser too.

Fox is a super nice professor. She takes the WHOLE entire time. If you start packing up at 3:14, she'll keep teaching 'til 3:15. But she's helpful outside of class, holds her own review sessions. Her lab is pretty easy. Lectures are just fill in the blank worksheets that are almost identical to her powerpoints. PRS is big in the class.

I've had her for two quarters thus far and both quarters I feared I was going to get a B. Thank God for her PRS quiz questions though. As long as you do good on those and decent on her 2 tests and final, then you should be alright. She's very helpful but lecture is boring. Lots of bonus points!

Awesome gal-knows anatomy more than anyone. If you come to class, do your work, and listen to everything she says, I don't know how you can get less than an A. There is a lot of extra credit. Lectures are a must, and maybe even independent reading time. Tests seem difficult, but I needed <50% on final to get an A, which I did (both quarters).

She knows what she is talking about but her lectures are very boring and its hard to pay attention because she uses guided notes. Also gives you learnsmart assignments that take over an hour and are only worth three points each. Pretty easy to get a good grade in but she tends to make her students irritated.

Although I have not gotten a test score below a 95% throughout the quarter, her methods of teaching are (to put it nicely): horrible. With an overload of detail without enough supplied physiology, it becomes rote memorization instead of learning. I'm incredibly disappointed this and rather upset. Take Dr. Griff and you'll learn so much more. Cheers

I hate this women... She gives you a quiz every class, questions during class, and a quiz at the end of each class, homeworks due every class, 2-3 learnsmart assignments that take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours for each test and her tests are miserable. Her notes are unbelievable. She skips over sections of the notes. I DON'T recommend her.

Quizzes every class, homework daily, LearnSmart activities, must live in your book. This class is hell. And not only do you have to study you butt off for the lecture but the difficult lab practicals as well. If you do all the work, you will understand it, but there is a ton of it. She is a total trickster on questions. Ruined my straight A's:(

Personally, I think she's a great professor. Although, she does skip over sections in the notes, which is annoying, BUT if you're doing you're homework like you should be, then you should be able to fill in the notes by yourself. She's a very nice lady and seems extremmely helpful in emails and announcements. Be prepared to use your book ALOT.

I do NOT recommend her and it's unfortunate that she is the only anatomy teacher. Her class consists of never ending in-class quizzes, constant skipping of notes, and expects you to learn entirely too much on your own. She makes everything harder than it already is and it's too difficult to keep up with her class. You will be very annoyed.

IGNORE previously written comments that were good. She is a HORRIBLE prof. The 1st exam she left 23 pages of notes blank. She does not explain herself at all, she will just argue with you.PRS is harder than her actual test,if you do not get it right,it will lower your grade. She removed the option to check your grade on connect so you wont do well.

She is difficult, but thats to be expected anatomy is a difficult class. She is very friendly and will help you if you ask, but she makes class very hard to keep up with and expects nothing less than HOURS of homework a week. I spent about 10 hours preparing for each test alone.

Professor Fox's notes are useless for the exams throughout the term. I went to all of the lecture classes and they never helped me prepare for upcoming quizzes and exams. I do NOT recommend this professor for someone who wants to learn and receive a good grade!

Her class is hard, but it is Anatomy so I was not surprised. Her notes are helpful if you fill them out. Study for PRS quizzes and you will save yourself alot of time studying for exams. If you study it is not as hard as everyone makes it sound like to get an A. I have gotten an A on every exam. She is really nice too, just tricky.

She was horrible. Because of her class, I probably won't make it into my major. I went from a 3.8 gpa to a 3.0. The notes are useless, what she teaches isn't in the book. Good luck if you are unfortunate enough to have her.

Mary Fox is one of my favorite professors! She truly cares about her students success and is very nice and willing to help. Her class is very structured and the content is tough but if you follow her instructions and work hard you can most definitely get an A. People blaming her for their poor grades is ridiculous.

Not a fan. She tells you to bring the notes she posts online to class, but then tells you that you should have already filled them out when she goes over things too fast. She always stops class when people are talking, which is a lot. It was hard to learn when she kept getting distracted herself.

The majority of the course is you reading the book and (trying) to teach yourself the material. A lot of work is required for very little points, BUT they do add up so make sure you complete it! There are SI's for the course and they are extremely helpful but only if you use them. It is a challenging course with a headstrong professor.

Confusing as can be. Goes through at least 50 slides a class and goes extremely quickly. The only reason I got a B is because I studied like a mad man from the book because her notes are terrible. Highly discourage taking her course. You'll end up teaching yourself everything. Bad professor.

Her notes are horrible. Extra and unnecessary information!! If you take this class be prepared to do A LOT of self-teaching. Goes over about 1/4 of the notes in class and expects the rest of the VERY CONFUSING material to be completed on your own without any overview from her. Love anatomy, hated this class.

Her notes aren't helpful in my opinion, she only skims through material during class, and she purposely makes her tests tricky. Be prepared to study a lot because that's the only way you will learn anything. All I have to say is if you have the choice, get Dr. Nodzak for Anatomy. He is the best professor I've ever had.

I didn't think I would like this class as much as I did. I learned a lot and Fox is a pretty good professor. You just have to be prepared for class, by reading,and answer the learning outcomes.GO TO SI SESSIONS!! This class is pretty difficult because there is a lot of information and the SI sessions saved my life. Overall a pretty good class.

Professor Fox is a really great teacher. I had her my first semester of my freshman year, and she taught me great study habits that helped me succeed in all my other courses. She is tough, but very fair. Though there is a lot of material, she is always clear with what is expected of you. Attend class, or else you will lose unnecessary points!
