she is very easy, and nice. lots of workshops that are fun and easy writing assignments. this class was a breeze and i will take it again. most of the time we left early.

She is such a knowledgeable down to earth teacher. She knows what she is talking about and makes the class fun with the workshops. At the same time, she is able to teach us the information that will carry on into future classes.

If you are looking for a teacher that will talk to you in a down-to-earth nature concerning the readings, she's the one. She'll actually sit down with you and help you organize your papers for a better grade. A big plus is you'll still understand even if you're not good in english classes of any sort.

I took her summer class. She's very lenient. She will answer any questions during and after class or email. The only time I saw her get upset is when students did not come prepared for class (more than once). Read what she assigns, it will be reviewed in the next class. In her words, "...it's your education....". Be prepared and the rest is easy.

A good person and a GREAT professor! she really tries to engage you in the poems and short stories you read. It's a good experience to be in her class.

I look forward to this class all week. This is the reason I'm taking on-campus courses instead of using the internet - she's extremely bright, insightful and engaging. Unlike many of my other classes, nearly everyone participates in the discussions. If you have the choice, take her class - you won't be sorry.

I took American Literature after 1865 with Dr. Galvin, and while it was easy, it was very, very boring. Take notes so you can write your journal entries - that'll make it easier. Write well and make a good presentation, and you'll be fine. Is very nice if you have to miss class for college-related reasons. I got an "A."

Professer Galvin is an excellent Professor. She will give you a good grade if you make a little effort. You can afford to miss a couple of her classes, just don't miss in class essays/writings. Just listen to what she has to say and you will get through. She is a very nice lady with a good heart.

If you want to learn, while enjoying literature, please do your self a favor take Dr. Galvin. Now you will need to act fast because it only takes a few hours for her class to be full. Amazing, and very smart teacher, she actully make me understand poetry.

Dr. Galvin is a terrific professor. She is very intelligent and really enjoys what she does. I took her class for the summer, she only assigned 2 papers and 1 research paper.... easy A. She even dropped the final exam which was really nice. Just don't miss more than one class and you'll do fine, I got an A.

She is one of the best teachers i've had. She was extremely helpful, and very devoted to her job. She is very calm and patient. her prompts were easy and her class discussions on poems were interesting. If you get an A on every paper (which is not impossible, because i did) she will give you an A for the final. I highly recommend her!!!

She seems like she only likes a certain thing, since she talks about how much she likes horror and whatnot, but she doesn't judge writing based on subject and she's actually far less terrifying than I thought. She helped a lot and I really recommend her writing class. She doesn't blunt the truth and will definitely help you improve.

Professor is the best English professor at Palm Beach State college. She is always willing to help,whenever a student needs help. I would definitely recommend her. All you have to do is try to read the poems that she assigned to the class so that you can participate. I am definitely going to take her for ENC 1102. Outstanding, intelligent professor

This class is so boring. Attendance is not mandatory because she never takes it. All you do is sit in groups all class and think about being ready to go home. She gives you about 1 month to write each paper. By the way I got an A in her class but I didn't learn anything and I was bored every class

SHE IS WONDERFUL! I love Dr. Galvin, she is a great professor. Honestly American Literature is not interesting to me however I grew an interest while taking this course. Lots of writing but it is worth it. No test, no quizes, and extra credit avail.

Dr. Galvin is so nice and helpful! She creates such a comforting and supportive atmosphere for her classes. I took her creative writing class and I really enjoyed it. Not too much homework, just a couple of short writing assignments. I highly recommend her creative writing class if you need an elective.

Mary is a good ole' New England gal. She's real and relaxed,and you just feel comfortable around her. She's so lax and nonjudgmental I sometimes wished she were MORE difficult. You could probably write or say anything and it wouldn't phase her. So, so cool. I just hope more students take her class seriously, out of respect, and not take advantage.

She's super into writing. All you do is four essays 2 pages era he but you get two weeks on each and sit in groups to have your essay evaluated. But when she grades your essay she leaves the most helpful feedback I've ever received from a teacher. You actually learn rather than writing the same way each time. TAKE HER

What a great teacher. She loves writing and allows you to work through your four essays at your own pace and you peer edit them multiple times in class. She is understanding, and will help you as much as you need during your writing. You will get an A if you show up and put effort into writing your short essays! Highly recommended!

She's a real nice lady. Class isn't too difficult. Just do the assignments and you should be fine. Class, however, is long and boring. An easy elective if you need the credit.

Professor Galvin helped me so much to open up in my writing, before her id write my essays how I was taught intro, first, second, third conclusion. In her class I learned that it was okay to explore multiple styles of writing. Just don't get too comfortable she WILL tell you what she does not like to help you improve as a writer. Shes the BEST!

I really loved Dr. Galvin. I HATE reading and she really gets you into it. Even if you don't want to read you should because she wants you to talk about it in class if not she might give you a exam or pop quiz. I do not want to say she was easy because If you do not put in work then your grade will reflect but she was there to help in every step of the way!

I have her now and every class we get into groups and either discuss a topic from the book we're reading, I am Malala, or if we had a paper, we'd peer edit. She really cares and wants you to pass , and for the most part we chose our paper topics, which really helps

Dr. Galvin is an awesome professor. She's very soft spoken, but also stern. She enjoys her students, and participation doesn't feel like it's forced on you. Her essays are very open to interpretation, as she just wants to have you write about things that relate to you. I took her in my first semester and would absolutely recommend her class.

I loved taking Dr Galvin! She asks questions on the reading to see who read and most people usually didnt. So to them it might have been a somewhat easy and dry class. But if you actually read or find audio for the readings theyre interesting and discussions are wonderful if you care. One big assignment, not hard, and 2 2pg essays. Taking again

I've never had any professor as beautiful as her soul. She truly loves her profession, and her love of English shows in the way she talks from her heart, and how well she connects us emotionally & intellectually with her readings. Her soul is like a feather upon parcel, well stained with ink and a beautiful read.

Dr. Galvin is the best professor. Even if you feel you cannot analyze the reading, she breaks it down into terms that make it easy to understand. I took the 6 wk summer online class, a lot of reading in a short period. She organized the class to make it easier for success. Good feedback from her and others in the class help keep you on track.

Professor Galvin is one of the best professors in PBSC! There was a lot of readings. Some of the readings are hard to understand, but she breaks down everything and makes it easier for you to understand. She is so sweet! and knows the information she is talking about by heart. Wrote 2 short essays, a research paper, and one presentation.

I took her online for AML 2020 and her teaching methods were vague. Plus, she wants a direct answer based on the reading material rather than an opinionated answer, so be prepared because she can come off as a critic. The reading material is good, but if you take her in person she might explain things better. Also there is a research paper due!

I took her for the online 6-week express session and it was *a lot* of reading every week. As long as you do the work and put in the effort you'll pass.

Such a great teacher, takes time to give you feedback about your essays so you can do your best. She assigns short readings from a book and you discuss them in class with groups, and I had overall 3 essays. She takes her time to teach you if youre struggling. Take her class!

I took this class online during covid and she is so sweet and caring! My class was struggling with an essay and she pushed it back another week so she is very understanding. Homeworkeasy discussions about someones essay or feedback to your peers on their essay. Quiz/testNo quiz and test just a few essays and discussions! I 100% recommend her (: !

Prof Galvin is wonderful and I would definitely take her again. Shes kind and caring towards her students. she allows plenty of time for students to write, review and submit their papers. she is a pretty fair grader. ( make sure to go over your work on gramarly before turning in your paper because she also uses it to grade your paper!) Recommended!

She's highly respected, authentic, and very equipped for Philosophy and Writing. She has clear grading criteria and will give you extra time to complete assignments if needed. I took her for the Fall semester- very easy-going teacher and could easily have taken her for Summer.

My experience with professor Galvin has been great! She gives you a clear layout of the assignment that are to come. It is a lot of reading but any literature class will be. She is VERY understanding and willingly to work with you if needed. Just do the discussions, give feedback to your peers and you will pass!

This class was held remotely online. It took a bit to getting used to but I'm glad I decided to take ENC1102 with Professor Galvin! She is an amazing professor! The class was very straight-forward and all her assignments and materials are well organized! If you put in the effort, you'll definitely get an A in return! I recommend taking her class.

Professor Galvin is very sweet and easy going and would most definitely take her again. She is very clear on her grading and how she wants her essays to look. The homework discussion boards are very helpful when typing your essays. If you are falling behind she will be more than glad to extend the due dates of assignments. I recommend her.

She is very good at what she does, You don't write many papers in ENC1101, I only had to do 4 essays and the rest was discussion board posts where you communicate with other students about topics in class or assignments. She is also lenient when it comes to due dates, I would definitely recommend her!

I love literature, so this was an easy A. Dr. Galvin is an incredible professor who cares about her students as well as the content she teaches. She's also super helpful! She wasn't uptight about the due dates for the discussions, but you do have a lot to read for the posts. As long as you don't procrastinate you will be golden.

If you're looking for an English teacher, This is the one! She's not strict on the amount of work for her class and is very lenient. All you have to do is get your work done and you'll get a good grade, She also casually extends essay assignments but don't take that as an opportunity to procrastinate :)

Her classes are super easy. You read the assigned poems and stories and then participate the discussion board. You have three main papers. The first two prepare you for the final paper. They are not hard at all as long as you really try and read the assigned stuff. Not a hard class again, I would take her again.

She is the best I would take her class again if I could. She answers all questions and is very understanding. The papers are half as long as most professors, if you need extra time just ask and she will most likely allow it. She does have some books you need to buy but she tries to help you save money where she could. take her you won't regret it.
