profeesor ramming is a pretty cool teacher. she's brutally honest and might embarass you in class a little but she means well by it. the only thing that i didnt really like was when she is talking one on one with you, the whole class can hear. other than that...i recommend her.

Excellent professor. Took her English 1102 online and made an A. 3 literary analysis and 1 project. Because of her I can write a literary analysis with my eyes closed. She is fair and even allows amnesty on one assignment. I would love to take her for another English class; I finished a better writer than I started. Highly Recommend!

This class was very interesting. The discussion post are over the top for 10 points. She is very helpful and will be available for any questions. If you love poetry, this is the class for you.

Very down to Earth and very relatable. Be prepared to know what has been discussed. She does pop quizzes, but hints when they may come. No BS allowed though. Turn off your phone, no texting, DO NOT stroll in late. Overall though, a very great experience. I would take her classes anytime.

Pay attention and participate in class discussions. Her class is only as hard as you make it and she gives alot of extra credit so there's no excuse to not make an "A". I wish I could take her for something else :(

Excellent instructor. I was not that good at english but if you do exactly what she says by the required deadline you can easily get an A. She is always available for help on assignments and gives you ample direction for improving your grades. Even if you have english, she will make it interesting.

This class in the summer was grueling and alot of work if you're taking it with other classes in the summer because it's so demanding. Be prepared to written on a higher level in this class but it is college. Get familiar with MLA and writing critical analysis because you will write. Teacher is serious @ English but helpful..try hard youll be ok

I had an A in Engl 1101 but Engl 1102 was proving to be a challenge because of the poetry analyses.Even though I am an online student,I went to her campus class and my life changed forever.I was unsure how to effectively use GALILEO before her class but she taught me and now I'm a pro.She knows her stuff.Listen to her and you'll know your stuff.

AMAZING TEACHER!sarcastic!she knows her stuff and makes you think outside of the box when reading the short stories and poems.although she does give alot of assignments,they get easier towards the end of the semester since you do them so often. she expects a lot from her students and any grade received in the class is surely earned not awarded

Mary Helen Ramming is one of the most awesome English teachers ever. And I've only said that about one other English teacher in high school. But don't get it twisted, you're not going to get by just trying to get by. Her class does require work but it's worth it the end because it'll definitely help you with future, more advanced English classes.

She is one of the best teachers in GPC, her class is fun, but her papers do require some effort. One of the major grades is making a book trailer, so if you arent into technology, dont take her.

I took Professor O'Conner I teach class We used ipads in this class which was pretty cool Only big thing was the digital project that you had to do with the ipads We did a lot of discussions online and we met up for class only once a week so therefore the rest was online She is very strict on meeting the deadlines so make sure you turn things in

If your not planning on going to graduate school or to pursue BA then i'd advise you not to take her, great teacher but beware if you come to class unprepared she will quiz you on the reading covered. She just wants the best for students and doesn't sugar coat or hold your hand, just do the work, talk in discussions and you will get an good grade

I just finished this Hybrid course( with Ipad ).She is good teacher.(No too much work, no quiz, no exam)Just readings and discussion on icollege. +2-paperson on turn-in and 1-movie project.BUT she is so very very super lazy on grading papers and assignments on time.She takes 4ever to grad..she just posted some of the grades on last day of class.

Very simple.. Just listen to her. When she wants you to do something, do it immediately. Don't be a slacker and do it last minute. She'll want you to read whatever book, and the books are great reads. Read a chapter a day, she'll also want you to go places, like art exhibits. GO. Extra credit.

I highly recommend this Professor Ramming, I am a non-traditional student I have been out of school for 30 years. this was a ITeach class where you had to use a IPAD. she was very helpful and if she saw that you were really trying she gave you all the help you asked her for. Professor O'Connor is one of the best teachers I've had throughout the years I've been in college. She breaks away from the boring teach from the textbook format which isn't effective at all in my opinion. You have fun while learning the new material through various projects. You can easily pass her class with an A by simply being creative.

Pretty much, come to class on time and do some video project, nothing is in class. everything is take home. HIGHLY RECOMMEDNED

Ms. O'Connor is an awesome Prof. Her i-Teach class was a very interesting and rewarding class- lots to learn. You must follow her usually very clear instructions, and meet deadlines (due dates) . You have to work hard, but every step of the way of your assignments and projects, she is there with you, with tons of extra credit opportunities.

Dr. O' Conner is an awesome teacher! Non-traditional and very engaging. You will have to work, but doable. If you're not tech savvy, you will be at the end of the semester. Take advantage of all the resources she suggest and you will do well. English is not my favorite subject but I would take her class again!

Dr.O'Connor added me to her summer rotation as a directed reading student, and I learned a ton. I got a good, practical understanding of where I want my degree to focus, and how to best understand the community I want to work with in a compassionate and practical way.
