great teach .. test are 90% notes out of class. What she gives for notes is exactly what you see on the test. she doenst make you show up for class but you really need to go to this class to get a good grade. Awesome teacher..

I took this as a telecourse. SHE IS GREAT! Study the study guide as she preaches to you and you will have NO problem! Same questions on test. There are quite a bit of essays to write but they are easy. Best professor I've ever had!

she is a great teacher will take her for 2211 she gives you plenty of chances for extra credit. gives study guide and everything off the guide is on the test. you can tell that she loves what she does if you want an easy class take her.

I the the telecourse. The videos are very boring, but prof. Hinson will help you if you are stuck with something. Her tests are multiple choice, make sure you read the study guide that goes a long with the videos. I hope they change those videos. As boring as the videos are the class is not bad.

Great class. Very interesting. There is a lot of writing and essays, but they are mostly just copy and pasting. She gives you a study guide for the tests and the tests follow it exactly. I got an A on all 3 tests and was exempt fron the final!!

Great class, easy A. I took as a CD class and all you needed to do was watch a video, fill out a workbook, , and write a few essays, 250 words a piece. Just do the work and you walk with the A!

Dr. Mary Hinson, An Artist in her own right she has the passion for perfection and is not timid when it comes to demanding it from her students. She is funny, spontanious,and maintaines a good eye for talent in each of her students. Enjoy the creative process with her, by opening up and experementing. You will be glad you did!

Fantastic Teacher, the book isn't used that much, tests are all very planned out with study guides. Lot's of talking and slides in class. Come to class, study, and you will get the grade you deserve. Very caring teacher, gets to know students who talk to her. Also teaches art/design classes (her forte). An asset to any College.

This class was a lot of work but you can get an A if you do everything. You do quizes which are hard, a couple of easy discussion boards, a group project which was not that bad, and writing assignments which do take a little time but she is easy on grading and a very nice professor.

This Humanities teacher was one of the best online teachers I had ever taken. If you do your work and read over it one time you will make an A in this class. Never had one problem in this class.

I have taken everything Dr. Hinson offers. Humanities, Art History I, drawing 1, 2, and Interdisciplinary Studies three times. She is crystal clear in her instructions, fair in dealing with students, an excellent teacher and an outstanding human being.

I loved this class. She was extremely helpful and easygoing. There's a pretty good amoung of writing, but she is not critical on grammar - as long as you have decent content. Dr. Hinson is really knowledgeable and very down to earth. I really enjoyed ARH1000.

Very helpful and understanding professor. Just watch the videos, complete the workbook and tests are directly from the workbook. I had a very family issues and Dr. Hinson was VERY understanding and flexible. She will even call you :) Also allows for xtra credit with additional essays. Would take her again.

I have taken both ARH2050 & 2051 of Prof. Hinson's online classes. She has made it very easy to take a class online. She is extremely helpful. Make sure you turn your work in on time. I would recommend her to anyone.

Fantastic professor! My class was all online - highly recommended if you have the dedication. A lot of reading, fair amount of web-based research, but very do-able. You only need 900 pts for an A, but she allows up to 1016 to be earned.

I had Dr. Hinson before for Art Appreciation, and that was a face to face class. She is just as fun and helpful in an online class as she is in person.

If you have to take humanities take this teacher!! I did the CD based class & as long as you listen to the cd lectures, do the workbook & essays it's an EASY A!!! Your test are based on the EXACT same ??'s in the workbook! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER! She is also great about responding to emails.

Prof. Hinson makes the subject very engaging and interesting to her students. It shows in her teaching that she knows and she loves what she is talking about. The class makes you want to travel to places!

Humanities is absolutely the hardest type of class for me 2nd only to English. Dr. Hinson makes the subject as ejoyable as it can be. Print the PowerPoints, 3 to a sheet and take notes in class. If she draws somethine, copy it and study it because you'll see it on the test. You must study and DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!

TAKE HUMANITIES PRIOR TO THIS COURSE! You will know a majority of the content! Study guides make the tests extremely easy. If you score A's on all 3 tests, you are exempted from the final. Extra Credit is a must! She provides 15 points worth for each test. If you love art, this will be a very interesting class for you because she knows so much!

I took her CD based course and it was an absolute pleasure. Don't buy the textbook or the CDs because the book wont help you and the CDs are provided by the website online (look in the syllabus). ALL YOU NEED IS THE WORKBOOK. You watch the videos and fill in the blanks of the workbook, and the tests come directly from it. Easy! I got a 99.7 A+!!

Online class. There is a lot of work but it isn't that hard: 8 tests from the book, 9 250+ word essays, 5 online discussion questions, 1 final project, no exams. Just get the work done and you will pass. She grades fairly. If you work ahead, you can finish the class early. I got an A and would take her again.

SHE WAS AWESOME! i took her for art appreciation and it was fun. She helps you out alot if you need it. there is always extra credit that is easy! her tests are easy as long as you study! all her powerpoints and study guides were on blackboard! TAKE HER CLASS! I took Dr. Hinson for on line summer Art History course and had very little trouble passing with an A. If you don't mind the reading and essays through Internet research then this is the class for you. She provides positive feedback. I would take her class again.

Dr. Hinson is the best! I've had her for two hybrid classes.You need to go to class to see slides (she also posts them in blackboard) and to get points for attending. I took Mrs. Hinson's online Art history class and it was great! It's a bit of work, you have at least one paper, discussion or test to do a week, but they're very easy. You can work ahead, just don't fall too far behind. She is very timely in her emailing too. Keep up with your work and expect an A, I definitely recommend taking her classes.

Prof Hinson is a great instructor, she makes online learning easy, she grades fairly, she's very helpful, her instructions for assignments are easy to understand, she reponds to emails quickly, and she'll give you extra time to complete an assignment if needed. I recommend her for face to face and online classes.

Took course online. Class was a 16 week course but at times felt like 8 week course. Enjoyed the class but would have preferred more time spent on chapters and did not enjoy tests as they had a lot of trick questions.

I absolutely love Dr. Hinson. I'm in ARH 2051 with her right now and I hope to take ART 1300C with her at some point. Even taking it online, you can tell this woman is passionate about art. This class is one of the easiest I've taken. The test questions are, for the most part, right out of the book. Just read the material and you'l be fine.

Online class was pretty easy. However the required book is HUGE! Very intimidating. She gives you about 2 assignments a week and one project at the end. Overall easy, can Google most of the activities instead of using the giant book. She's prompt with email, and will work with you if you're behind or stuck. Great teacher

I would gladly take her again. Easy A!!! I took online and there was 7 tests (but most answers can be googled), 3 Discussion boards, 2 timed 1 paragraph answer questions (which you will need to read the book to be able to answer), and 1 project that was pretty easy and you have the whole semester to work on it. Take her and you won't regret it!

I took the 12 Week online class, I had 8 multiple choice tests, 3 discussions, and 1 project due near the end. Very easy workload, you can work ahead and get it done. The book itself is LARGE & a lot to read. I just skimmed and could answer the test questions from that or google. She's there if you need her but you pretty much do your own thing

Very good instructions, answers emails promptly, very organized and easy to understand. 7 tests, 2 GER, 2 small projects, 1 big project. Test are pretty tough but all answers are in the book.

i took this class online and it was my first online experience and she made easy and successful. there are 8 tests and 5 (500) words papers , one project, three discussions, and two GER. everything you need to pass is online except for the tests you gonna need the book because you going to identify art pieces.

She is an excellent teacher took her classes online, and passed both, do a lot of quizzes, reports, and projects. Plus the reports and projects was kinda fun.

I took ARH2050 8 week hybrid course and really as long as you do all of the work (which is all online) before the last day of your course you will get a good grade. She grades easy as long as you do it you will be fine. Textbook isn't necessary as long as you know how to look up answers for the tests. She does not count attendance as well.

Easiest class I have ever taken! she pretty much gives you full credit as long as you turn them in on time. I took this class online and she gave us plenty of time to get assignments done. There are 8 quizzes, 3 discussions, 2 projects(very easy), 8 assignments, and 1 essay. Barely used the book. I would take her class again!

EASY grader. Sometimes I felt like it was purely a completion grade. 2 creative projects where you created artwork then analyzed others; artwork was published in DB but analyzed in an assignment you upload, so if you're worried about criticism for art, don't be. A few DBs and a handful of short written assignments, but they all took 10-15 mins

Excellent! Very easy class, I enjoyed all the projects. Discussion boards are the usual. Seems to grade easy as long as you follow her instructions. Allows you to work ahead, which I love! If you want feedback use the teacher help on the discussion board! Very interesting class.

Amazing teacher!!! Absolute gem!! Took Professor H. class online I couldn't have chosen a better instructor. She responds to emails and always gives great feedback. The class could take some time, but she allows you to work ahead which is wonderful for working adults. Making an A is beyond possible.

I took Professor Hinson online and she was super easy, I am going to be honest, I turned in a lot a couple weeks late and she still gave me full credit. The tests are great because the answers are straight from the book. You do have to read A LOT though that's probably the only downside.

Professor Hinson is awesome. She's an extremely easy grader as long as you do the work and show that you read the material. There's 3 discussions, 5 essays, a prejection, and like 10 tests. The tests are all online and you don't need to use a proctor for them. I definitely recommend taking her!

Easy A! You have to write 5 essays, take a few tests, do three discussions, some small assignments, and one project. Sounds like a lot, but she's an easy grader and the work is easy. The tests are not worth much. The book helped a lot, but you could manage without it. I took her online and she responds to emails quickly. Taking her again!

Make sure to complete that Web Museum. Majority of the grade is that thing. Tests are pretty simple even though you don't have a book.

Really loved her. Took this course online, as a 15 week class. She was very understanding, and considerate when grading. Tests are taken online and there are I think 8 tests, 3 discussion boards, and 2 papers but it is separated very nicely and as long as you submit the work you are likely to pass. Oh and the textbook was a little pricey ($80).

I love professor Hinson only three discussions 6 assignments 5 are 500 words look online 8 test the answers were online but I actually studied and did great a web museum do at the end of the semester and two General education requirements 15minutes to do but very simple class could be finished in a month get the book cheaper on amazon or eBay

This was my first time using an online class and honestly I would recommend Mary Hinson if you need Art History, first online class and first time I felt the need to rate a professor -she gives feedback and is willing to help -straight forward from day 1 -web museum, 8 tests, 8 quizes, 3 discussions, 3 (g.e.r) -emails answered quickly -read!!!

This class is INSANELY easy. You just have to read the textbook and you will be fine. The quizzes are extremely easy and Professor Hinson will give full points on every assignment if you just follow the rubric. She is a tad bit unorganized in some areas and doesn't give much feedback, but overall the class is an easy A.

Professor Hinson is super nice and wants everyone to pass. The class was easy and felt like more of a participation grade; as long as you make a small effort you will pass. She did a great job in making everyone familiar with different art.

This was by far the easiest class. There is required reading and some essays but it was an easy A. Dr. Hinson is very easy to get ahold of and will try to help the best she can.

She's really an easy A, so long as you do the work. She's also a very generous grader, so if you honestly just show that you've put some effort, she will give you a good grade (A) for the assignment. Also got an A in the class and didn't read the book one time.

Cool professor. Exams consist of questions where answers can be found right in the book, only three discussions, and one easy written project. Lets you work ahead, meaning that you can finish the course as early as you want. Accessible outside of class; replies to emails in a reasonable amount of time. Had fun in the course and it was an easy "A."

Very sweet professor. The lectures aren't mandatory but she just likes for everyone to participate and talk. Only two major projects and she's an easy grader. Doesn't pick on you for grammar or format. Other assignments include discussions and small reviews of YouTube videos. Very easy class for the credit. Easy A!

She's a fantastic professor! The assignments were easy, and there were about three major ones. I was able to finish the class a lot earlier than expected, too. You can work ahead, which I love! She also gives feedback for pretty much every assignment you submit! She's super caring and I had fun taking this course!
