Her lectures was really interesting but her tests are ridiculous and she treats the class like Jr. High students. Not very friendly, said "Have a nice life" to all of the students when we turned in final. Not worth all the work.
Sis Woodger didn't spend a lot of time on each topic, but when it came to test time, she put the powerpoints on blackboard. She knows and has interviewed most of the Apostles herself and she is an overall funny lady. Barely got an A in the class because I studied hard for the final. There's tons of reading each night, but it's enjoyable reading.

I didn't like her as a teacher. She was very cold, and she didn't seem to like girls that much, she always favored the boys in her class. I wouldn't take her class as a boy or girl.
Sis Woodger has a great sense of humor, and is pretty bold when lecturing-not rude, just not afraid to say gentle things. Vey educated and discussess highly intellectual religious topics. Lot of reading for the class-but not hard or anything. You grade yourself. She really helps you develop a personal relationship with the apostles and the prophet.
Interesting class...I learned a lot about the apostles. There is a ton of reading, but as long as you do it you should be ok. She tries to scare you at first but we never had a pop quiz and you grade yourself at the end of the semester on your preparation for class.
Sister woodger is an amazing teacher, I learned so much from her. Just stay on top of the reading and attend classes and you will do fine in the class.
Sis Woodger was kind of hard but a great teacher. I learned a lot and really enjoyed the class. Just stay on top of the reading and go to class and it's not too bad.
I didn't find it hard at all to get an A in this class. You grade yourself on all the reading, none of which is necessarily "necessary" to pass the tests. If you study your notes from class, and have some common sense, you should do fine.
Woodger has great intentions, however, she really is not an effective teacher. I did not feel that the class was intellectually stimulating. She has a very closed-minded perspective. Woodger tests on ridiculous information (seemingly unimportant details) and admits that "most students don't like her after they take her first test." She is difficult
Sis. Woodger is a horrible teacher. She gives millions of lists, expects you to memorize them all, and then tests on two of them. She tells stories about the prophets and apostles, which is great, but her facts aren't right. She is very one-sided and tests on her opinion. Don't take this class from her, even if someone pays you to.
Worst professor I've ever had. She will actually change her voice pitch to talk down to the class. And if you ever need to meet with her, she'll do it to you individually. She expects automatic respect but will treat you like a 2nd grader. She tests on trivial things like, "Who liked to remodel their house before their kids got married?"

i've never been so glad a class was over. she tests on pointless facts that have no bearing to the TEACHINGS of the prophets (who's father wasn't a member of the church? who cares?). on top of that, she's rude. someone said she doesn't like girls, but she just doesn't like students and makes it obvious. unhelpful, belittling, rude. avoid her.
Wow. Just don't take it from her. She's really hard to take. Treats her students like elementary age kids and it's obvious she couldn't care less about the students. She's pretty condescending, too. It was difficult getting up the drive to keep going to class in keep up the 90% mandatory attendance. Had to drag myself at the end of semester.
Wasn't so bad. She does talk down to students once in awhile. Does have an abnormally high attendance requirement. The tests were really easy, but filled with stuff you wouldn't think was important. Didn't hate it, but I'd suggest Bro. Freeman. Teaches more pertinent info.
This was a great class. I really enjoyed having Sis. Woodger as a teacher. She knows a lot about the living prophets and taught it very well. She is also a really fun teacher and the class was great.
The best class I have ever taken at BYU! Midterm was harder than I thought it would be, but learned from my mistake and did much better on the final. She has met all of the living apostals and taught me to love these men. I have a much stronger appreciation for our latter day prophets now and I HIGHLY recommend this class. Amazing!
I really enjoyed this class. The tests were difficult, and were mostly on kind of random facts. As far as instruction, though, she was excellent.
I loved taking this class! It helped me develop a stronger testimony of the apostles. It is definitely worth your time! Sis. Woodger is really passionate about the subject, which totally helps.
Sis. Woodger was an amazing teacher. I looked forward to class everyday. She's really blunt which I found refreshing, but I suppose if you're touchy it could be taken as rude. You do have to know a lot a little details about apostles lifes, but I found it helpful in gaining new insights into thier teachings.
Everyone freaks out about her seating chart, but it's not that big of a deal. She just wants to learn student's names. Her tests were kind of difficult. Just do the reading, and study, and go to class. Not that hard. She has met most of the GAs personally and has great insights into their characters. I learned a lot.
trust me, i always look for the easiest A possible, so i was little wary from some of the ratings on this teacher, but she is much nicer than people say and the class requires limited effort. sometimes there was a lot of reading but not very often. tests had some tricky questions, but there are only 2 tests & 0 assignments the whole semester!
I loved Sister Woodger. She's great. Kinda hard--you need to do the work, but it's a really interesting class and you'll learn a lot. Doing the study questions will help a lot.
Sister Woodger is the one who gets to interview the apostles for their bios and she really knows her stuff! :)
Sis. Woodger is a very nice lady, though at times I felt like I was in Jr. High. There is mandatory reading every night, sometimes up to 2 hours. She did bring the spirit into class every day, and I learned a lot. Lots of studying required for tests, but she does tell you exactly what to study which helps a lot. Great class overall.
Sister Woodger takes her teaching seriously. She is very well prepared and is a great professor! Her classes are the highlight of the week.
uh, LOVE this class. you learn so much about the prophets and apostles. sister woodger has interviewed several of them and can add insight into their lives. it's not hard, just read the talks and biographies, listen in class, and you'll do great. she gives you review sheets for what's on the exams, just study those and you'll get an A.
Sister Woodger is an amazing professor. It's very obvious she strives to teach by the Spirit, and so classes are the highlight of the week.
Sister wooder is an interesting person. Sometimes I really didn't know how to take her, but she really does know her stuff and lectures are interesting. There is a LOT of reading though for the class. It's two tests and then participation, you have to write in an ensign, you dont hand it in though. Good class, but you need to put in the work.
Sis. Woodger has an intersting personality. I felt the spirit ever day, but she is scatter- brained. She takes attendance and there is a seating chart but its not that bad. She definitey knows what she talking about and its awesome to learn about the Prophet and apostles but if you don't read the ensigns and other material you WILL NOT do well!
She's a strict motherly type teacher who "Spanks" you when you don't do the reading. Her tests are impossible to cram for, my usual study method, since they are based on so much reading. Do the reading, take time to write notes on what you read, and you'll get a good grade.
Sis Woodger realy knows her stuff. I loved listening to all of her personal stories andthe knowledge she shared. She gives review sheet for the major tests. Her class is about average in hardness, but she gives you the tools to succeed you jus have to do them.
Sister Woodger is AMAZING! I loved this class! Absolutely the highlight of my day! She really does know her stuff and is just simply amazing! Graded on 2 tests and participation. There is a seating chart but it really isn't too bad. She just wants to get to know people's names! I highly recommend this course to everyone!
I definitely learned a lot in the class and felt the spirit. The first midterm just about killed me though--I didn't realize you have to be able to memorize lists and regurgitate bullet point lists. I think she meant well and she SEEMS warm and fuzzy in class, but one-on-one I found her extremely cold or just weird. I barely got an A.
She is incredibly socially awkward. The class felt like high school seminary rather than a university course. She is out to prove her importance rather then actually teach. Be prepared for frequent name dropping. She likes to threaten to hold you after class. Despite the seating chart, she knows nothing about most of her students, including names.
Professor is engaging and a breath of fresh air. The work takes time, but it helps when it comes to the tests. Woodger has met almost every one of the members of the first presidency and the quorum of the twelve so she knows what she is talking about. I learned so much!
amazing/inspirational class, excellent professor. she can be intimidating and her tests are very hard. require a lot of study and out of class reading but if you put in the effort totally worth it. she is extremely smart and hilarious, highly recommend
This class is great! It's a break from scripture-based religion classes. Sister Woodger is less than warm, but is a good professor. Being an RM is a plus in this class, especially if you admire and enjoy learning about the brethren. I didn't do ANY of the reading, and got an A-.
So I got an A on both exam's, and did all of the homework, which yielded a 91% in the class. But because of attendance, my grade will be dropping to a C-. She takes attendance VERY seriously, as if we are still in high school. She was also very rude to me when I didn't understand her instructions for how to turn in the final.
Her tests were a bit hard, but if you study exactly what she tells you, and I mean really truly study, then you should get an A or a B. I loved Sister Woodger! She was funny and offered great insights about the general authorities. She knows her stuff, and I enjoyed the class.
Sister Woodger is awesome. She knows what she is teaching really well. Do the reading... it doesn't take that much time and will maek the class much more worthwhile.
I took Living Prophets from her. It's not that hard of a class--I got an A, and didn't really read a lot of stuff. She loves to name drop and is really cold. Especially to the girls in the class. She's pretty unpleasant, but it's not that hard.
She is a timid person but is really nice if you can get her out of her shell. You read about all that you buy for the class. She will tell you what to expect on the test and it comes from what she talks about in class. I loved the personal stories she had about the brethren.
She is the best religion teacher I have ever had at BYU! She teaches with the Spirit, and gives you examples to back everything up. Be prepared to read A LOT!! Your grade is based on on 3 things. Your evaluation based on numerous things, including reading..., one midterm and then the final. Getting an A is easy if you work for it and keep up.
I loved this class! She has met most of the apostles, so she was able to share personal stories about each of them. It really brought the general authorities to life for me. It completely changed the way I watch general conference. Just do the readings and take notes in class and you will do fine on the tests. I really loved this class!
Sister Woodger is great. She teaches with the Spirit and can be hilarious as well. Be forewarned that at the end of the semester YOU rate yourself on what you did throughout the semester, and that rating is worth a third of your grade. If I had known I would have read more and filled out the study guide. But she is very lenient with grades.
As a disclaimer, I want to say that I enjoyed sister Woodger's class. However, I will add my review to simply add two warnings: First, it is NOT a fill in schedule w/ easy religion credits class. It IS involved. And second, she ripped my class for collaborating via google doc to fill out class study guides, which I found strange. Good class though.
I went into this class with LOW expectations. I wasn't excited at all-But I really enjoyed this class. It's a lot of reading, but if you do the reading-it's pretty simple. I studied and didn't think the tests were too hard or obscure. You cover everything in class. The spirit was really strong an my testimony grew. Take this class!
By far the WORST CLASS I have ever taken. DO NOT TAKE IT WHATEVER YOU DO. Assigned seating chart, she MAKES you sit in the seats. Asked if I could switch, she was mean and condescending. After that she graded my midterm really unfairly. I found my answers in the book and they were CORRECT. I only got a 63% though. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS FROM HER!!!
Easily the worst teacher I have EVER had in my educational career. She ignored our emails ALL semester so NO one knew what was right. Her lessons were all Horrid. her syllabus was all over the place, listed assignments that were actually other things just with different names but no one had any idea then we didn't end up even having to turn them in
By far one of the best religion classes I have ever taken. Something about the course just reinstated my testimony more about the living prophets and apostles. Professor Woodger has an offset humor that once you pick up is quite hilarious haha! Would highly recommend her class again.
I think this is a great course, but I would recommend taking it from someone besides Sister Woodger. She is a great lady, but I was often frustrated because I felt she was teaching more of her opinion than fact/doctrine.
If I could, I would have used four tags and added "Would Take Again." I loved going to Sister Woodger's classes, but the reading during the first half of the semester was more dry than the second half.
Sister Woodger is a great teacher. I really enjoyed going to class and listening to her talk about the Living Prophets. A lot of her lectures come from personal experiences she has had with them. A lot of reading! She is also really big on integrity.
Super sweet lady, but incredibly stern at random times. Learned a lot, but feel a lot is opinionated rather than doctrine.
She's great. I always felt the spirit in her class and learned A TON. You read a lot, but it's all conference talks or interesting things, so it's not that bad. She always tells you when something is her opinion. Love her!
I may be biased because I'm really into Church history, but I enjoyed this class (not many seem to take it). Sis. Woodger's teaching stylepersonality is indeed a bit quirky, but you get used to it & her lectures are interesting. Tests are pretty reasonable. Not much HW. Make sure to go to class (she doesn't post anything online, & takes roll).
Professor Woodger is an excellent teacher. She has a strong understanding of the modern day prophets and apostles and has great insight into their roles and responsibilities in the church. This class made me look at the general authorities in an entirely new light. This course requires a lot of work but it is totally worth it!
She was fantastic! I always loved going to class, your respect and love for the Prophet and Apostles grows every class.
My testimony grew a lot during this class. Sister Woodger gives interesting and funny lectures that always hold your attention. You can tell that she cares about her students. There is reading, but it's all conference talks. The test questions come from the study guide, so as long as you do the work, you'll get an A. Great class.
Sister Woodger has a different personality, but that's what makes her class interesting. She is very knowledgeable and balances teaching facts well with application and discussion questions in class. Participation is helpful- she bumped up my grade because I participated well in class. Lots of reading- weighted toward front end of class.
This class was great. There is a ton of reading. She is awesome though. Really understanding. Class only has four grades, midterm, research paper, self-evaluation, and a final. Really a great class. Not hard and spiritually rewarding. I highly recommend it.
There is a lot of reading, but I thought it was very informative. The tests are kind of specific. There are only 4 graded assignments: midterm, final, topic paper, and study guide. She has great experiences with most of the Quorum of the 12. She is careful to let us know when she is giving her opinion. I loved the class!
Sister Woodger helped grow my testimony on modern day revelation and the prophets; wonderful class for life long learning. She is very reasonable when it comes to grades. Attendance is mandatory (I loved that she rewards this, but if you don't... don't take it). Her papers are extremely picky, but just follow the rubric. Study in groups for tests!
She is funny. You will read A LOT in this class. She basically tells you what to study for the test, and the TA reviews are equally as helpful. Helped me strengthen my testimony of our living apostles. Memorization. I loved her class more than any other religion credit at BYU.
Sister Woodger is amazing, I really liked her and this class. My testimony grew a ton and the class is not difficult as long as you read and show up to class. The reading in the beginning is a boring but it gets better as the semester goes on. Changed the way I look a general conference. Getting an A is very attainable.
My testimony grew a ton in this class. Made me a million times more excited for general conference. You absolutely have to go to class and read. Tests and papers are straight forward. She ended up bumping my grade in the end because I always read and participated.
She cares about her students and helps you gain a stronger testimony of the prophets. If you do your reading, you'll do fine. She does like to share her opinion, but she doesn't act like it's doctrine (I enjoyed the insights). She tries to learn her students' names (so there will be assigned seating).
I'm sure Woodger is a great person, but I can't say the same thing about her classes. She doesn't teach ANY doctrine, she purely teaches her OPINION which make the test difficult. You're tested in so many unnecessary things. The readings are very inspirational, however the class is always stories about herself and the experiences she had with GA's.
A very nice professor with a memorable personality. Reading: the whole conference ensign, and two thick packets. The tests focus a ton on memorization of facts and quotes, and if you didn't take notes on the right things in class, you will miss points on the exam. Your grade is: Participation, 1 paper, and 2 tests.
I loved this class. There is a lot of reading, but it's really interesting and inspirational. Sister Woodger's lectures had a lot of really great insight. There are only 4 graded assignments. Her tests are really specific, and the study guides don't help much. I don't regret taking this class though. It strengthened my testimony of prophets a ton.
I love Sister Woodger! She was so kind, inspirational, and funny. Her class just made me happy. There is quite a bit of reading, and if you don't stay on top of it it will quickly add up. You need to go to class. She takes off points if you miss more than 3 classes (or 2 in spring/summer). I would definitely take another class from her.
I learned so much through this class and Sister Woodger helped me so much with this process. Great teacher and a great class.
I was really excited to take this class but ended up disappointed. I didn't learn a thing from her lectures other than random facts and stories about GAs. She penalizes your grade severely for not attending class, which I think is reminiscent of junior high or high school, not a college-level religion class. Overall very disappointing.
This class is so ridiculous. I was so excited in the beginning, but she just rambles about her opinions and false facts. It is not doctrine, it is biographies and facts she deems to be worth your memorizing. She is extremely scatterbrained and puts NOTHING on Learning Suite, save her horribly done slides.
This is my second class from Sister Woodger and it was just as awesome as the first. One of my favorite professors here at BYU.
Sister Woodger gives awesome lectures and has lots of experiences that are really special. There is not too much reading if you keep up with it.
Sis Woodger is the BEST! She teaches pure doctrine backed up with quotes and shares some amazing facts and stories of the lives of the General Authorities. She is hilarious. She makes it clear when sharing her opinion. There is reading involved, but I learned so much! She is very lenient with grades! But you do need to attend class. TAKE HER CLASS!
This class was ridiculously hard for 2 credits. Sister Woodger is all over the place and expects so much. She acts like her class is the only one you're taking. She's very unclear about what she wants and she changed dates for tests and papers multiple times. The material is cool but take it from someone else.
I enjoyed this class but it was frustrating at times. The information on tests were lots of just random facts and with the amount of content covered in every class, it was hard to keep up. She doesn't use learning suite AT ALL and shared a lot of random stories and opinions that didn't always seem relevant or appropriate.
Sister Woodger is one of the BEST religion professors I've taken (and I've had class with Hank Smith and Brad Wilcox, seriously she's awesome). Her class is way doable. She's extremely loving. You read a LOT of material, but my love for the brethren has only grown bc of her class. TAKE HER CLASS! You won't regret it!
This class is designed for her to brag about all the prophets and apostles she has met. Much of the class is knowing pointless facts about each apostle, and not much doctrine is learned. She takes attendance and gives assigned seating. She is very unreasonable and causes contention with students. The class was easy, but not worth my time.
Super boring class. Attendance is mandatory and feels like you're back in middle school. Not much content to her lessons. Most of what you learn in class is basic, but the tests are all about the apostles bios. Super frustrating.
Very nice person. She genuinely cares about the learning of her students. Interesting class. Shes a unique person but has very good intentions. Tests werent too bad. Only downside is she doesnt use learning suite. assignments are very unclear. shes very unorganized but very lenient.
Honestly, this class should be a breeze. But not with her. Prepare to sit through long lectures of "story time" and read lots and lots of general conference talks. Great class, but I would recommend you take this class from a different professor.
Sister Woodger is a very caring but stern teacher. She stands up for the brethren of the Church and is not willing to sway in her beliefs from the zeitgeists of today. I believe she has unique creditable credentials; which allow her to be bold--in many ways men cannot be today, without being a pariah. I greatly appreciated her. I recommend her!
This class is like sitting through a seminary class. She goes off on topics that are not based in facts or doctrine in any way. Then her tests feel like Trivia Pursuit Mormon Edition. Don't take this class if you are actually expecting to learn about doctrine. If you want to memorize random one liners from Elder Widtsoe then this is the class.
Please please please do NOT take this class! This is honestly the worst religion class I've ever taken if not the worst class I've taken at BYU. Prepare to get loaded with mounds of papers, talks, and reading that you'l have to do! Sister Woodger is the worst and gives horrendous lectures and always includes her non-doctrine controversial opinions.
This class was much harder than it should've been. Tons of reading, I was constantly stressed about getting behind. Only grades are midterm, final, one paper, and then a bunch of other stuff you put a lot of work into that ends up being one self-grade. Made me feel like I did all that work for nothing. Tests are very specific and stressful.
Do not take this class. Sister Woodger is insanely immature. Her class revolves around her bragging about her experiences with the apostles. She does not teach doctrine and her tests are RIDICULOUS. She expects you to be able to read her mind. worst teacher I have ever had.
Sister Woodger is such a kind woman and she has good lectures. But the class has a lot of reading and she grades by few things. Her exams are pretty difficult, you have to know very specific things. But she curves them well. Overall, a good teacher and I enjoyed her class. Stay on top of the reading and you'll do fine.
Worst class I have ever taken. You only receive grades from attendance, midterm, final, and a research paper. Grading criteria/instructions for the research paper are sooo vague. Allowed 3 days of absence in class and every day after is -3% OVERALL grade. She teaches opinions and makes up stories. Provides useless study guides and exams are tough.
Sister Woodger means well but she is not a good professor. She asks questions expecting you to read her mind and makes fun of students' responses. To do well on her tests you have to memorize quotes word for word. If you work hard and participate you can still get an A but it's hard to sit through. Good material, but take it from someone else
Her lectures are filled with interesting information, but it is hard to know what will be tested. She is a nice person and wants students to learn. Not a lot of assignments to turn in, which is nice, but there is a fair amount of reading involved.
She assigned tons of readings. She gives us tons of facts in lecgture, and any of that stuff could be on the test - not much direction. Lectures aren't entertaining, she did say some rude things. Expects us to put in way more work than necessary. I did feel the spirit in her class sometimes. Wouldn't take again.
I hated this professor more than I've hated any teacher in my entire life. I am begging you for the sake of your mental health to take any professor other than her. The amount of work is ridiculous, especially for just a 2 credit class. I would give a 0/5 if I could.
My least favorite professor ever, this is the first review I'm leaving on this site just because she's the worst. The tests were all a joke, for a religion class they weren't very religious, and focused on minutia. There were more questions about what various apostle's parents did for a living than name dropped Jesus. That is not an exaggeration.
Literally the worst professor I've ever had. Mean and not good at accepting accommodations. She spends more time bragging about her interactions with apostles/prophets than actually teaching. The class centers on having no questions or complaints about any of the prophets or apostles.
I took this class on demand and it was not bad at all! There's a decent amount of reading, but if you do it and watch the videos from the course material you will do great. The quizzes and midterms are all open note and you can go back through the lesson material which makes it super easy. Sister Woodger is great and you can tell she loves to teach
Don't know who leaves a negative comment about Woodger's online RELC333 class because it was literally so easy. Woodger did a good job at outlining the class from the beginning, and it's straightforward as to what is expected in the class. Each section/module is easy, along with manageable assignments. Easiest religion class @ BYU. Take this class!
Just your typical online religion class! She doesn't grade too harshly and has a lot of great resources. Honestly, this is one of my favorite religion classes content-wise, and if online is what works best for you, Sister Woodger's class is a great option!
The class is super easy in the online format and very repetitive. Everything is open book/open note. There was some stuff in the lectures that is just straight up not true about the Church (i.e. that prophets never make mistakes) and that ruined the class for me.
Assigns way too much reading. Tests are about the most random things (ex. who's apostle's father was a world renowned chemist?) Papers are very long and tedious and her formatting instructions are very bizarre. She's a super harsh grader. When her powerpoint wasn't working, she told the IT guy that Satan was in her computer. Off the wall crazy.
Loved this class! Super easy but super insightful and inspiring. Basically just learning about the apostles' lives. Lots of conference talk reading. Assignments are different every week (except you always have a quiz) so you don't really get in a routine (could be good or bad), but the assignments are usually easy and cool! Highly recommend!
Sister Woodger is a great person. BUT, there were very few grades in the gradebook so if you do poorly on one thing, there is little hope to improve your overall grade. The tests are "most difficult" and they're very specific. It is possible to do well, but there are a LOT of details to remember and you don't know which ones are important or not.
This professor is horrible. This will not further your testimony at all, because it makes gospel learning monotonous. This teacher claims to care about you, while also piling on work and reading, and not allowing for second chances on tests. She is not understanding at all, and comes across as extremely arrogant. Do not take this class.
Please do not take this class. You will be quizzed on things that have zero meaning and are impossible to remember. She sees the apostles as heroes on pedestals and reveres and worships them, and this class is not oriented toward gospel learning. The homework load is much more than any of my other classes, including O Chem. Abysmal class
This professor does not care about her students at all. Her tests are extremely difficult and more about the minute details of general authorities' lives, not about what they've taught. She never connects anything to Christ, and spends most of her online lecture time bragging about her interactions with the apostles.
Don't take this class, pls. Tests were the hardest religion exams I've had to take so far. Were open notes, but so specific it would take you 10 minutes to find the info (which apostle nicknamed his kids "the redheads?"). Tons of homework and random assignments that didn't feel necessary.
She could not care less about her students. No such thing as leniency or second chances. This is the last religion class I needed to graduate and it was definitely the worst religion class I have taken. Not because of material difficulty, but because of her quality. Definitely the worst professor professor I've had in my college career.
Slides weren't updated which always bothers me, especially in an online class, but information is fairly straightforward on canvas. exams are open note and open book which is awesome. The class overall does give you the chance to learn a lot about the living prophets. assignments are basically the same every week which is nice and reliable.
This class is cake. You really don't have to do the readings cuz you can just control F everything for the quizzes and tests. However, Professor Woodger isn't an accommodating professor. Refuses to aid students with extenuating circumstances. Disappointing behavior, especially for an online class. Wouldn't choose to work with her again.
I took her REL C 341 class through independent study. It was too hard for a 2 credit class. She is a tough grader.
Takes the fun out of learning
Sister Woodger is super nice, and she teaches modern church well because she studied prophet's lives. She has a lot of readings, and you don't know what information will be on the tests, but she gives you a lengthy study guide. You only have about 6 assignments and they are usually short papers, and are not too difficult.
Please take a different religion course. If you just want it for an A, take it, but know that 95% of the material is memorizing random facts about the apostles. It was not a very spiritually uplifting or engaging class, though we did read one talk for each apostle. Professor Woodger seems very kind in her videos, and is an understanding grader.
I would recommend this class on-demand remote delivery for an easy religion class but she is easily one of the worst professors I have had. The online content is straightforward then her "insights" are just a repeat of all the same info. She uses old recorded lectures, but doesn't even know her own slides and blames her TAs for making them.
This class can be a mixed bag - the content is interesting, but the grading can be very specific and unforgiving. Utilize resources like the free textbook and unstuck study for study prep to stay on top of the details. Overall an average experience, but can be worthwhile with the right approach.
This class is totally doable. You're only graded by a few things but if you go to class and do the readings you'll be totally fine. She's also really nice and willing to work with her students if you communicate with her. I've never had a more understanding professor.
Not a difficult class at all if you know the basics of the new testament. I never studied or did any of the readings for the class and did just fine. That being said if credit is what you're looking for take the class for an easy A. But, I did not appreciate how Sister Woodger would treat the IT people or the way she would talk badly about others.
Professor Woodger is a very unhelpful & unkind individual. I was pretty disappointed by her & would not recommend.
She is completely emotionally unstable and should not be allowed to teach.
I loved my class with Sister Woodger. There is about an hour of reading with each class and a few writing assignments that I was able to do fairly easily and enjoy in the process. I learned so much about church history in this class and Sister Woodger always kept it engaging and spiritual. I recommend if you are serious about your religion credits.
I didn't have the best experience with Professor Woodger. She wasn't very understanding or kind in her responses, and it often felt like she didn't care about students' situations. The material itself was fine, but her attitude made the class unnecessarily stressful. No warmth or flexibility,.
