Grading policy fair; explains concepts and problems well ... clear and very helpful; she won't put you to sleep, the way she teaches keeps your mind from wandering...highly recommended!
Her lecture is great, and it's clear...But most of my friends, who got A for Math5A and 5B ,got B in her class...=.= .....She don't drop the lowest test score...
She's very good at explaining the material and offers lots of help outside the classroom. Some disagreeable aspects of her class: She doesn't drop the lowest test score and homework is due almost every day.
I like her...she is good ^_^ 1 thing bad is u have to do a lot of homework...but that is how u learn Math, by doing HOMEWORK!!

i had her for spring semester and shes the best math teacher ive ever had! shes so clear about everything and is already ready to teach. i advise you guys to take her class bcuz shes a good teacher.
She is a great teacher!!! Very clear in her explanations, and very helpful. You can tell she likes her job.
her calss is easy-going~~~
She's fair, Very clear and offers help all the time. Good teacher.
Very clear and patient, and very helpful! She's nice, but you must do the homework, which should go without saying in any math class. Probably the best math professor I've ever had. She's not easy, but it's for your own good, and you will learn.
Very helpful teacher. Enjoy having her as my teacher.
Very fun teacher ... easy going ... her lectures are clear and interesting ... her tests are not very hard (not easy either)... you will enjoy the class with her ... and you will learn so much and have fun at the same time ...
AMAZING. For math you need a clear and organized and patient professor and she has all those qualities.
Possibly one of the best math teachers I have ever had. She's extremely clear and organized in her lectures. Her tests aren't exactly easy, but she gives lots of partial credit.
good teacher but hard grader....i was dissapointed she's kind of unfair when it comes to final grading.
She is not a easy grader, but there is nothing to worry about. Because she is a very good teacher, who gives excellent lecture. Very knowledgeable. She is the best math teacher I ever had. If you care about learning, I highly recommend her.
will do everything to help. but she's very tough. tests consist of only the hardest questions and she takes off every little point. lectures are clear, but she makes math very hard compared to other math 131 teachers. overall, very smart and friendly.
shes a GREAT teacher. she KNOWS her math. she grades hard but her lectures and techniques to teach are great. she even color codes her stuff on the board so you can understand better. i would recommend u take her. shes GREAT and you'll learn.
Best Math teacher I ever had. Very fair on grading. Tests are not hard if you do the homework. Clear lectures. Highly recommended.
BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!
not as good as others mentioned
ONE OF THE BEST MATH TEACHERS IN PCC! HIGHLY RECOMMENED IF YOU WANT TO GET AN "A" EXPLAINS VERY WELL, THERE'S NO WAY YOU WON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT'S GOING ON. VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. GIVES OUT REVIEW WS BEFORE EXAMS. AWESOME TEACHER!
Nice teacher and likes to help students. Too much homework and the tests are extremely hard. It has nothing to do with the problems from the homework. She does give part. credit on tests, but like I said. Too tough. Only easy if you're a Math freak.
She is very kool. She gives out 3 or 4 tests the whole semester. Other then that, you just have to do homeworks to get good grades. She is very nice, very helpful, and do whatever it takes to help u. I got an A.
One of the best 5C teacher

Really good at explaining the math concepts but hard on tests.HW not worth enough perecentage.I guess if you're really patient take her.Pros-clear lecture.Cons-hard tests. You be the one to judge.
Some people were born to teach, and she is one of those people! She has the gift of making math fun and understandable. I am not usually good at math, but she makes it fun for me. She explains everything and if you don't understand seriously, just ask! Take her!
She's a ****. Good teacher. MUST do your homework or you will not do good in tests. Tests are NOT easy. You must understand your homework and ask questions if you dont. It's not an easy class and the homework load is fair. I recommend taking Roger YANG over her, but she IS one of the good teachers.
Maybe she can teach Math 5A and 5C or even Math 9 but she just can't do a good job on Math 5B. She is very discouraging and mean!! Start with 28 class and end with like 14. Bad Bad Bad!!
She is a nice teacher, but she is strict, mean, and hard! Not an easy A.
very hard and mean. If u want to challenge urself, go take her. i don't recommend her.
Her lessons are very clear to understand. there's HW everyday, but not too bad, tests are OK, she throws in a couple of tricky problems but doing HW and coming to class for lectures really help. 5 tests not including final; 2-3 quizzes only to see where students are at(nothing hard)
she is a nice & good teacher but the most of tests are the worst tricky.
Ms. Uyekawa, along with Dr. Yang, are two of the best math professors I've ever had at PCC. I applaud her excellent and clear lectures. Very organized and able to use technology to demonstrate concepts. Exams are tricky and she does not tolerate people who doesn't do their homework. Can be mean sometimes.
she is a so nice teacher and explain everything very clear. It is easy to get a A if you finish all of her homeworks.
She lectures SO clearly. I would often preread a calc section, have no clue, then come back from her lecture and understand everything perfectly. Her tests are difficult but doable. Math 5A is challenging but if you pay attention she preps you for the next level very well. Math 9 is not hard if you had a solid trig and algebra background.
She is a very organized professor. As long as you can do her homework, you will be fine.
Hard teacher. Does not give enough examples. More theoretical. Want a challenge? Take her.
I think she really challanges her students and is pretty difficult. Her tests are challenging. She explains pretty well. Overall, she's a tough one.
Her test is very difficult!!!!!Besides that, she also gave a lot of homework to students!!!~!
probably the clearest teacher i've ever had. she explains EVERYTHING very thoroughly. not easy, but very doable. she is awesome. crystal clear lectures and states EXACTLY what she wants. take her if u actually want to learn, not impossible at all, i got an A, just pay attention, study, and do the homework.
For some reason it could be that her Trig classes are more difficult. She simply expects too much out of her students. She's unreasonably hard and unlenient. If you can't put in solid hours consistently and daily, don't bother taking her class. You will fail.
hard tests. hard grader. seems helpful, but not too clear.
Mrs. Uyekawa is a very challenging professor. Her tests is so complicated. She helps u understand the material through her lectures. But damn, the tests...only if it wasn't soo daaamn complex and hard, i'd prolly reccommend her. But if ur not becoming an engineer or any other majors that requires math, i say find a differ. teacher.
She's a hard grading professor. Her lectures are ok (not as good as the rating here suggests), but her tests are pretty challenging. She's somehow helpful, but doesn't really encourage you to make you work harder. Overall not bad, but i was expecting more from her.
nah, she's not the one.take somebody else.250 marks for finals??20 qns for finals?? no way one can finish confidently in 2 hrs!though the qns are not very hard, the time given is too little! she doesn't drop one test also. a very not flexible teacher.only sees in the grades and rarely the effort of her students. cannot b even 1 min late for class too
Her tests are quite straight forward. Do your homework and you will be fine.
I took her class in winter, as somebody written below, her lecture is clear and easy to understand. The test wouldn't be difficult if you really pay attention on the class.
she is a very good professor.......if u do all the homework carefully and spend time on studying, u will get A....i love her..but u have to be good in attendence...
Took her in Fall 2005.Great teacher.Gives clear lectures.Always willing to help.Homework everyday though, but hey,it's math.Test are not hard if you study.Kinda strict on Attendance.Does give you points for trying.Let's you use a Sci/Calculator on Test.Overall:Excellent!Don't take if ur lazy or very weak in math.
She'd be great...if only she offered extra credit.
Knowledgable and kind. Somewhat of a tough grader but is always willing to answer questions and help you. Excellent teacher.
Makes lectures easy to understand.. test will be easy if you study your notes and show up in class daily... she is strict with attendance but it plays a great part of your lectures and assignments .. overall very nice professor .. she knows what she's doing
she is a great math teacher! best advice: do the hw, get to class on time cause she does take role but either than that shes awesome. her curriculum will consist of her giving test for each chapter. overall she is great and makes it all look easy! I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND HER!
Mrs. Uyekawa was the most helpful, caring math teacher I have ever had.
she's clear, organized, helpful, and care about her students; her tests are not hard. After all she's really nice. strongly recommand.
she is a clear professor. She knows exactly what she's teaching. Assigns a good amount of homework. Tests are pretty difficult in some cases.
Mrs Uyekawa's always willing to help and she knows what's best for us. Her lectures are very clear, tests will be pretty easy if you take good notes and pay attention in class. homeworks are not that much~ Great teacher for an intersession~~~~
she is a grade A person! lectures are clear and methodical. word problems are a focal point; will not let them go! the tests are above anything i've encountered; the worst kind of difficulty. pretty extensive homework. the math begins to come together toward the end of the class. by the end, you will know this subject, if you can afford the B
Not an easy class, but she knows her subject well and teaches it well. If you do the homework you'll do fine on the test. However, while she does give partial credit on the test, she is brutal and takes off a good number of points.
she is very clear and organized with her notes. just pay attention in class, do the hw and be sure to really look over everything for the final so you'll be able to finish it.. because it's only 2 hours.. don't slack off.. i'd highly recommend her..
She is the best teacher i have every had,Her tests are pretty easy just do what she told u and i am sure u will get an easy A.She is very organised and very helpfull
I took her Math 5C at fall 2006.OMG~Such a good professor i ever seen and i cant love her anymore. Her notes are pretty helpful and tests are mostly based on HW and notes. you'll be fine as long as u pay attention to it(A is not that hard).MOST IMPORTANTLY,she teaches by HEART!
She's the best professor i ever met. She's very helpful and her class is not that hard at all. Most of the exam questions are based on notes and HW. Do yr hw and review yr note. A is not that hard at all
Great teacher. Her lectures are very easy to follow and she knows what she's doing. Best math professor I have taken so far. I'm just disappointed she's not teaching 5B in the fall.
Yes, she teaches by heart. Her lectures are crystal clear. Tests are not that hard if you understand lectures and do your homework. Final seems harder than tests. Make sure you do well on tests so that final will not be a big pressure to you.
The final is definitely harder than the regular tests, so be careful. On the other hand, she is lovely, smart, extremely clear. I got intereted in math because of her.
She is good before the midterm, after the midterm, she teaches so fast and rushes the concept! That's not good.
She is an amazing professor. She tries to accomodate for everyone and her lectures ar clear. She takes her time but sometimes hurts because she rushes a little in the end of the semester. Overall, I recommend her
great teacher. very clear with everything. u will definately understand math if u take her. she has pretty strict rules but theyre basic. she does give allota hw and doesnt accept late hw. overall, i say take her but be serious.
I really like professor Uyekawa, and she is an awesome lady. If you don't understand something, she will try to clarify the most she can in class. If not she does have a open door policy. But be adviced that she is not an easy A, so if that is what you are looking for. Forget it!!
she's the BEST teacher i have ever seen!!!she made me love math! she's soooo clear, sooo helpful, sooo nice..u can understand everything in class.. in one word she's PERFECT!
You need to put a lot of effort into this class if you are not profecient in math. Determination is they key and this professor is willing to give you the energy to try the best. She explains everything and has a lot of partience. She loves MATH and make you want to love it as well. THANKS PROFESSOR :)
She's a wonderful professor, a real teacher. A lot people say she's hard, but she's not, really. She just requires you to do some solid work, put in solid effort, and have solid understanding of the material. Her tests are absolutely doable if you really paid attention in class and did your homework. You will really appreciate after taking her.
she's very helpful.the best math teacher Ive take in pcc.i took her 5c in winter, very clearly lecture.do all hw n write down all notes, not very hard to get A. but you must study, lets say, if you want to learn and ready for work, take her, and you will get A.
She explains things better than any math teacher I have EVER had. She is definitely not an easy teacher, but if you are willing to work and you want to LEARN, take her. If you are a slacker, you won't like her cuz she'll give you a hard time.
Good teaching skils! Very dear, nice and helpful. Detailed notes and explainations. Very straight forward. Always know what to expect in tests(from hw problems & notes).10% hw 60%tests, 30% final. Definitely A if you work hard and focus on her lecturue.
i'm taking her trig class right now. explains things really clearly and is totally cool with tutoring. gives a lot of hw, but the harder you work in the class, the more you get out of it. all the work has to do with the tests and the final. just keep quizzes. recommend her 100%
She is not easy at all! But lecture was clear, and class was funny. She is a very nice lady, but just too care about the details of the procedure for everything question in the exam. And will take out lots points even though you get everything right but the final answer is wrong. If you are looking for easy A, no recommend.
Well, she's really nice, but most of all, it's hard for you to get an A because she give you a lot of question in the test when you don't even have enough time to finish it. So if you want A, better not take her....
I love Mrs. Uyekawa!!!
Super nice teacher, very helpful. I really like her. But you'd better to finish all homework if you want a better grade.
hard class but extremely helpful teacher! gave us 2 take home tests out of 4 tests in total! she is willing to help anytime!
Very nice person.Sometimes problems are complicated when not needed but makes up for it with her helpfulness!Exams are 60% of final grade,10 for homework and 30 for final.Read syllabus and visit her website!Do all homework, worksheets, sample exams, extra practice on MathXL and you will pass.Extra credit only if you find something new for her website.
super nice teacher, always there to help you. she cares about attendance a lot. lots of hw. 4 tests and she gave us 2 take home tests but you gotta work real hard for an A...easy B or C but have to work REALLY HARD!
I love her!! Super clear lecture, very helpful. Although she gives a lot of hw, it helpful for the test. Super nice pro.
Best teacher i have ever had. Not easy by any means but she makes the material so easy to understand that its hard not to get a good grade!
Hard teacher, but her lessons are easy to understand. she gives a lot of homework, drops one of the lowest test scores. very helpful, lots and lots of work!!
best prof ever. take her in summer,Lota hw, but give out sample tests for review b4 test and many helpful animation examples. Clear lecture, but quite tricky test somehow. Not an easy A though, well the class itself not easy either, definitely gunna take her for 5C
veeeeery hard to get A. Her lecture is clear and give the sample test which is very helpful. However, she won't give partial credit, won't curve, won't drop/replace the lowest grade. Once you have a little bit wrong on the answer, you will lose lots of points. She cares about details, once you make mistake on detail, you also lose lots of points.
She cannot teach. Only goes over the basic concept and does the book examples in class. Assign tons of hw and everyone in the class is lost because she never went over the different types of questions in the book. If you really want to learn calculus, stay away because you'll be copying from solution manual all day.
awesome awesome awesome! she really care about her students and even asks how u are doing if she notices your grade slipping. take her! u wont regret it! i hate math but had loads of fun in her class. also extremly helpful in her office hours and happy to see students show up
One of the best math teachers ever. Great lectures and explanations. Always there to help students understand further. Highly recommend her. Just be prepared to work, no slacking.
She is so nice that willing to help if u have any question. U just have to do all ur hw problems, and the test is based on that. I take a lot of time studying for this course, and I did get an A. It not that easy, but not that hard.
Prof really explains the lectures clearly. If you ask a lot of questions like I did, do hw, and most of the review she gives you, you'll understand the material no prob. I got a B.
Great professor, test might be a little hard but study groups would help. I enjoy her class and she is a cool teacher.
Her lectures are crystal clear.I love her class because the way she presents the material just makes things easier. She loves to help you out and she makes the class environment very joyful and pleasant. You need to work hard for an A.She's not easy but fair.
Great teacher, lectures are crystal clear and is also very helpful during office hours. She keeps the class engaged and makes even the hardest material understandable. Class requires a bit of studying but you will learn a lot from her
the best math teacher ever!
She will help you understand the material as long as you ask. Good lecture, but she expects you to read the book for additional materials. Demands understanding of topics not just memorization. GREAT PROFESSOR, I learned so much in 6 weeks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND esp. if you want to learn and be motivated.
GREAT PROFESSOR! You have to be willing to do the homework and ask questions - if you do that she will take care of the rest! Her lectures are very good and crystal clear. You get a lot out of attending class so don't skip. Her grading is strict but she always explains why and makes sure that you know what she will be picky about on the test.
She is one of the best math teachers I ever had. She explains everything clearly.
Great professor. Explains with clarity and enthusiasm. However, nothing close to easy. I'm an A student with a full load, did good on all the assignments and however managed only a high B in both AB. She's tough. Would have really appreciated curves and extra credit as we are students needing to transfer and ultimately not at a university yet.
well organized. take up hours to explain simple things. Missed a lot of other important material. Little to no examples (90% comes from the book). Mandatory in NOTATION. Hard Test;NO REVIEW. Homework turn in everyday but just check for complete, whether correct or not. Class is very boring, no group work. few Interaction.
I actually liked the teaching style in the class. At this level, your professors should be training you to be independent. With no sample tests, review packets, and homework grading, this class required students to be independent alright. Besides, UC's expect you to be self-sufficient once you get there so the way she runs the class is good for you
Great professor, math is never easy but she is really helpful and grades fairly.
Yes, Ms.Uyekawa is one tough lady. So far, in my 10 years of public math education, she is the most articulate and the clearest math instructor i've ever met. Remember, Linear Algebra starts off with 4 dimensional vector calculations and goes deeper into uncomprehendible concepts. Give 110% and she will show u Lin Alg. But absolutely brutal in HW
She is hard but she explains everything clearly and as long as you follow her instructions u will be fine
The best professor I've ever met. As long as you do all the homework and listen to her, you will get an A. Her explanation is super clear! Definitely gonna take her again for the next classes until I finish my math in PCC :)
sample tests provided, solutions to sample tests provided, crystal-clear lectures given..... no reason not to get an A. you just have to do problems. .....And she's hawt boss.
Half of the lecture is routinely wasted covering hw questions. Tests are difficult even though she provided sample tests, which don't reflect real tests b/c sample questions are reworked to have slight twists in them. She doesn't give enough time to finish the tests. She isn't that much a superior teacher to warrant taking her given her difficulty.
Very clear teacher, I don't know why she works at PCC she should be at a private college... But i'm glad I had her. Excellent class!
One of the best math professors I have ever had. Her passion for teaching shows in every lecture. Higly recommend to anyone seeking a strong understanding of math rather than easy grade.
great teacher!
Super awesome teacher, the best teacher in my life so far. Anyone who complained surely are not trying hard enough. Tons of people got As and Bs. She's hard but super fair on grading, took 6 classes and never once I was able to argue with her gradings. She loves math and her students, be respectful and you'll enjoy everything.
Lectures are very clear. She is patient and helpful. Tests can be challenging, although sample tests are provided. She is also not very generous when it comes to partial credits. If you want to actually learn, take her. If you want an easy A, she is not the option
Average teacher really. Tests are heavy, very little time to finish up. No partial credits. Overall inflexible.
Very helpful, passionate, and motivating about learning. Not extremely easy but very clear. Take this class! Professor uyekawa is a life-changing teacher.
Out of all the teachers and Professors, I've ever had (even since grade school) she is the most proficient and caring. She really wants you to succeed in class. One time she even came in on a Sunday to help prepare us for a final. I honestly never heard if a better teacher or person. I hated math before taking her class, and now I am a math minor.
Professor Uyekawa is certainly one of the best professors I have had here at PCC. And this is why I took her for all of my math courses with the exception of math 55. If you are a student that continually makes excuses and blame the instructor's for not understand the concepts rather than seeking her help, you do not belong here.
I highly recommend Prof. Uyekawa to anybody. Her teachings are not theory heavy but just right and more practical explanation, which I believe is good for most student. Math 5C's test are challenging and tricky but 10's are much easier. But ofc u need to still complete assigned HW and study a little out of class. No extra credit.
Tests are heavy, very little time to finish up. No partial credits. Average teacher really. very inflexible.
Prof Uyekawa is a great teacher. I took her math path class for math 5a-5b. Her class is hard bc you have to do hw to get 10% of ur grade. Tests aren't too bad, you need to memorize the right formula to get the answers. Final is harder than her tests but covers the important material from the course. I recommend taking her bc you gonna learn a lot.
Lectures very well. Walks the class through hard problems so it makes the homework a lot more easier to do using lecture notes, and sometimes they will appear on exams. Pay attention to the details she asks for. The final and tests are kind of hard ,but she has practice exams for all of them. I recommend doing the hw twice it's a hard subject.
4-6 hours of homework on a daily basis. Tests are too difficult to get an A in. She gives 10 questions and makes one near-impossible to answer. One time she gave us a problem even she couldn't figure out. It's ok though, I transferred into one of the top schools in the world. I saw some smart people fail, flunk and withdraw. Chose teachers wisely.
In all honesty you get what you put in. Not an impossible class to get an A in, but does require you to study. Test aren't impossible and she hints at what hard problems are going to be on the test... PAY ATTENTION
Not inspiring and doesn't try to put concepts into perspective (unless she's talking about how Engineers need to know this, etc.). Barely any intonation of voice. Rarely takes effort to write down theorems on board and would much rather just project it onto the screen before promptly ripping it away from view. To do well, study ahead.
Terrible teacher I don't recommend taking her at all lectures suck and she assigns way to much homework that's due the next day and her tests are ridiculously tough!!!
Professor Uyekawa is the best professor I've had at Pcc. She is hard but she explains the material well. If you put in the work there is no way you can fail. As for her office she is always available. Who ever said she isn't available is, probably doesn't even know where her office is.
Not a bad teacher at all, math path in itself is what makes this class challenging. Regardless to how I do in the class I would have to say I did learn quite a bit and the teacher was engaging. As for office hours I couldn't say because I never really went but thats just my prerogative and has nothing to do with the teacher.
Great prof., def. makes you work for your grade but that only makes you feel proud of what you get! She is willing to help and goes out of her ways to schedule office hours before tests, even if it means she come in early! I took 7ab with an econ class while working 22-25 hrs. part-time and did well but I was in tutoring everyday and slept litle!
Professor Uyekawa is the best math teacher I've ever had. She is very intentional in the way that she presents material - she is clearly experienced and cares about the understanding her students take away from class. Very approachable if you need extra help (though I did not). I could not recommend her class more highly.
Easy. Maybe because I'm a genius. But who am I to say?
Best math teacher I've ever had.
Cares more about her students than herself.
Prof Uyekawa is one of the best teachers at PCC. She is clearly experienced and she goes out of her way to help you. I loved her class. There is homework everyday 2-4 hours long. Tests are not hard, but study study study and you'll be fine. Wish she was teaching 5AB, HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!
To me, the only thing bad for her class, is that you cannot use formulas directly sometimes. She will require you to show your understanding in steps, which means she doesn't want you just memorize formulas without truely understand them. Tests are fair, and easy. Just do all the homework and rewrite your notes, Easy A for 5AB MATH PATH.
Great Professor
Professor Uyekawa is amazing and truly cares for her students success in the class. She is clearly experienced. Her lectures are crystal clear. Homework is assigned everyday and YOU NEED TO DO IT! Tests are tough, but if you review hw, notes, worksheets, and do problems from the book you'll be fine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
For the past two semesters, I've taken two Math path classes with her. I want you to know if you are willing to put efforts, professor Kathleen's class is right one for you. She is strong so as her teaching. I should put it this way: her lecture makes you Want to study more on your own. That's all I can say. It's that strong.
Very good at teaching, took her for mathpath! great class and experience :)
Not the easiest course, but well worth it. She can teach extremely well, taking her for 5C at the moment. Recommended.
She is a great teacher! She is always willing to help, but you have to put the work in. Math Path, especially, isn't an easy A.
Best Teacher at PCC!! I've had her for two math path semesters now and even though math path has a reputation for being tedious and daunting, I find her class to be my favorite course and I definitely look forward to spending hours on end studying math. If you work hard you will do well!
Do NOT... I repeat: Do NOT underestimate Math Path. Hogue is a solid professor and cares about her job but you must stay 100% dedicated to the class in order to succeed. I earned a solid A last semester in 7A but I struggled in 7B and received a 70%. I dropped out of the latter half (5A) after the first test. Only take Math Path if you need to.
She is one of the best math professors at PCC! She will do everything in her power to make sure you succeed and although her classes may be challenging, when you finish you will be so proud of how far you have come.
Professor Hogue is amazing. Although I had to drop the class in the middle of the semester, I spoke with her to get feedback on what I was doing wrong in class. She's caring and will REALLY make the time and effort for you. She will work very hard for you. Tests were fill in, lectures were great (answers a lot of questions), DON'T SKIP CLASS
Professor Hogue is a saint. She's bright, caring, and extremely personable. Her class was difficult but ultimately rewarding. Even If you don't understand the material, any gesture of attempting to understand it will be encouraged, praised and rewarded by Professor Hogue. She is an excellent teacher and I would advise anyone to take her class.
Very helpful and will spend plenty of time with you 1 on 1 during office hours if needed. Nothing unfair or unreasonable (no tricks) on tests.
I don't understand any of the (fake) positive reviews. Maybe she's easier in person. But her online classes are absolutely horrible. Tests that are 2-3x harder than her lecture and homework. She is also very nitpicky when it comes to grading. Additionally, she thinks that everybody is cheating. I would not recommend her online classes at all.
I loved Professor Hogue. If it wasn't her tenure as a Department Chair for Math at PCC, her careful, methodical video lectures and caring tone earned my admiration quickly. Kind, accessible, and patient, I really enjoyed learning from her, however I didn't like how her test problems got increasingly harder towards the end as the brain got tired.
Great professor to have. As long as you attend her lectures and watch her module videos, you will understand the mathematical concepts. Tests are fully based on what you learnt and there are no trick questions. She is more than willing to help you, and gives good feedback.
Prof Hogue makes the material clear and is very helpful during office hours. Attending lectures and using resources like Unstuck study really help with understanding the concepts. Tests are fair - no tricks!
Haha this page is full of fake reviews written by the Professor (or family members) themselves, it's very blatant. She is one of the WORST Calc professors at PCC and more than half the class drops throughout the semester. All of her exams have questions that go beyond the level of the class and they are not fair to the students at all. Fire her plz
She is one of the best. She brings like 6 different colors of markers to make everything so clear. She wants you to understand the material. Tests are has hard as hw.
