she is NUTS! the class is given alot of work but fair amount of time to get it completed. shes very nice but she is crazy. if youre shy, you might be intimidated by her. shes very helpful with reviewing drafts for your essays.
shes very upbeat and crazy. you have to write a lot of essays, but they arent long. shes always willing to help you with classwork and gives you a lot of chances to get extra points to help your grade.
Mary is absolutely one of the craziest teachers i have ever had. She is really passionate about helping students suceed in their writing.. If you are willing to put in the extra effort she will match you. If you can put up with randomness and having the teacher as the craziest one in the class then she is the one for you.
She loves creativity... you can truly be yourself in this class. The class can be challenging for some, but fun if you let it be. Sometimes she gets confusing in her enthusiasm. She'll work with you and do what it takes to help you succeed at your writing.
mary was the craziest professor i've had yet. she likes to talk about random things and her grammar lessons are pretty funny. you have to write about 4 essays, but they're not too hard, especially if you took an ap english class. you also have to do journals, but they're easy too; you can write anything you want and she'll give you credit.
Mary Kim is very enthusiatic and loves teaching. The class was really easy, but some other people had problems. There are 4 essays, but none of them are very long and she gives a lot of help. Lots of extra credit and she lets you drop the lowest grade.
If you have taken any English course ever, you will most likely find this class easy. She does her best to make the class fun, but if you already know how to write a thesis paper etc it is boring. She expects you to be very descriptive, and will grade you based a lot on metaphors etc
WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Gives out assignments and is completely incomprehensible on what she wants. Her grading is something i have never seen, she breaks grades down weird. overall, if u want to learn anything you have to teach yourself. her attitude during class is completely strange and unhelpful.
absolutely crazy. she does this weird thing with her eyes and it makes me want to vomit. she also uses the word "frankly" way too much and is very unclear about assignments. a very random grader, too.
She's okay. The work is easy, only a few essays that don't take much time at all. She's a slave to the system, however, and is completely unforgiving when it comes to tardiness, even if it's beyond your control. Her grading is a little strange and she's pretty vague with her instructions. Either way, it's an easy class.
shes amazing! she does whatever she can to keep you interested in the boring topic she has to cover. 3 projects the whole semester and she helps and corrects it for u so u can make corrections b4 its due. she brings in snacks and offers girft cards for prizes. best class i had. definetly take her. she is crazy tho lol. so fun tho
She's a fun teacher but you have to be enthusiastic about being there to stay interested. Sometimes the lecture gets long and boring but she tries her best to keep you interested. I love having Mary as a teacher its very enjoyable. I took this professor out of a recommendation from another student and I'm glad I did it was definitely worth it
This class is an easy A. Prof Kim may seem a little off-the-wall, but I found her to be kind and funny. She's a very motherly figure.
Kim is a very kind woman, however she is a bit too vague in her assignments and does not really answer your questions. but you will have fun with the sign in sheet at the beginning of class. If you are not good at writing DO NOT TAKE HER if you only need some polishing then she would be fine
She is really nice and funny. Sometimes she brings snacks to class and offers gift cards as prizes. She's very entertaining even at 8am. However she marks tough although she does give opportunities to make up points. She also doesn't tolerate tardiness. Oh...and her syllabus is nicely spaced out.
If you, like me, have problems remembering assignments which are only mentioned verbally in passing- then don't take Kim. She also has strict deadlines and her enforced rules contradict the ones she gives at the beginning of the year. I was an hour late on turning in a rough draft for an assignment, and as a result was not allowed to do the rest of
She is very kind and has unique expressions. I would recommend taking her for an 8am b/c her PowerPoint lectures and talking can get kind of long. The essays are fun and interesting topics. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER BONUS JOURNALS. These are easy to do and help your grade so much. Her grading is very fair as well and helps a lot to learn.
she is so nice and really wants you to do well, she will boost your grade all over the place. DO NOT BUY THE TEXT BOOK! you wont use it, its in the library just photo copy the 12 pages you need. Some people find her hard to understand but she lays out all of the rules so you must be brain dead not to, and she makes class fun TAKE HER
Don't try and understand Kim. She is kinda in her own little world. She is nice enough, very energetic but honestly I didn't learn much at all. Her class is pretty easy, two papers and a group project. If you do the work you're pretty much going to get an A. Also if you have a 95 and don't miss any classes you are exempt from the final.
Professor Kim is hysterical! She grades tough but fair, and she does a great job with relating English to art.
Words are really insufficient to express my outrage at this woman. I've never had trouble with writing - I got a 5 on the English AP and technically should have been exempt from this class (thanks SCAD for botching that up). She deducts huge points for ridiculous and occasionally arbitrary reasons. I've turned in all the work and still might fail.
Kim is a very kind and encouraging her professor. However, she is a basket case and impossible to comprehend at 8am. The power points are extremely long. She takes attendance twice, at the beginning of class and after break, incase anyone escapes.
Mary Kim is completey crazy; however, class can be fun because of this. Her lectures/powerpoints tend to be long and boring, but her class is an easy A. It isn't necessary to buy the textbook because there are some in the library and it is hardly used. You won't actually learn a lot of useful information, but if you want an easy class take her's.
she is sooo crazy. she gave me a 0 on the biggest paper of the class. just because i had the wrong sources on an outline. so i sat in class for 2 weeks doing nothing. she then got mad at me for sending her 6 emails within 2 weeks or something and yelled at me (shaking) in the middle of class.. if you get her run. she is stupid and knows nothing
If you pay attention, follow requirements, go to extra help/office hours when you need, her class will improve your writing. If you disrupt class, don't follow requirements, don't bother to gain help, you won't succeed.
If you don't meet requirements and disrupt class proceedings, she will let you know. If you follow requirements, seek extra help when needed--not after deadlines--you will do well. She allows students to choose paper and discussion topics, allowing a freer range of choices. If you are not morning person, don't take her classes.
Okay, I have 2 pieces of advice for this class, One: Particapate often and Never, Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever, tell her you can sing. She will make you sing. ALL THE TIME. She's crazy, not a bad thing though. Doesn't know what she wants, so grading is bad and confusing. If possible, get diff prof for class.
Try to find a different instructor. Her feedback is borderline incomprehensible. You can do the work, be a skilled writer, and still be struggling because she has a very hard time articulating what she wants. Previous comments amount doing well in AP in high school then struggling in her class are not inflammatory but true.
This professor is insane. I did very well in my academically inclined high-school and thought I knew a thing or two about english, but it's not helping me out at all. She is terrible at communicating what she wants. I have had to work purely based on the syllabus so I can understand the assignments.
If you want to pass Composition don't take this class.
I don't know what more she could do as a prof. She provides copies of the textbooks to the library for those who can't afford them. She provides free food, constant extra credit opportunities, in depth feedback, and immediate email response. She's a little goofy, but very engaging and friendly. I really don't understand the negative reviews.
She is spastic, which gives you the illusion that the class may be fun & entertaining...but it is far from it. I was one of the only people who participated and she still gave me crappy grades. I had perfect grammar and logical structure, but apparently it was too convoluted for her. Act illiterate and she'll like you. Wouldn't recommend.
Prof. Kim was an engaging and entertaining teacher. She is so smart and although her work is a little consuming and hard, she offers lots of extra credit and she reviews rough drafts. She is fun and provides food, energy and an amazing environment for a composition class. if you want to have fun and actually learn, take this class for sure
She's absolutely crazy. She might be kind of a tough grader but we could resubmit essays and she offers a ton of extra credit. It was an easy A and she was a very...interesting teacher and kept you awake.
I liked professor Kim a lot! She may be a little awkward but that's part of her charm. I used to struggle with writing essays but now I understand how to write so much better thanks to her. She gives you in depth critique with every paper and gives you a packet filled with outlines about how to write each one. MLA all the way!
She will give you a thesis to write for your paper and then proceed to dock points because your thesis is "un-argueable" Prepare to lose boatloads of points for no discernible reason. She's very nice, in that spastic laugh-to-the-point-of-openly-weeping-and-everyone-looks-at-each-other-really-uncomfortably sort of way.
She's smart, straightforward and interesting. Some may consider her a tough grader but her grades are fair and justifiable; she knows what she's looking for and will give you plenty of time, help and extra credit to get there. Because of her genuine and constructive teaching techniques, my writing has vastly improved.
A very quirky lady, Kim will definitely make you laugh. She genuinely wants to help you improve your writing, but she's really dumb. She's the type of reader who needs everything spelled out for her which is very limiting. Random things she won't understand, so write for a kindergardener. And she writes your thesis for you so be prepared for that.
No . . . Just no. Don't do it to yourself.
She holds your hand through every assignment and is super organized. Everything you need to know is in the class packet and she takes A LOT of class time explaining what she wants. Just show up and participate. She gives several chances for extra credit and makes herself very available for extra help. She's zany and fun but takes her job seriously.
If you are an Architecture Major don't do this to yourself. Help sessions are often scheduled during conflicting classes. Throughout the quarter grading on major assignments are tough. It is sad because the course has little to do with Architecture and yet is more demanding than some architecture courses. My studio work suffered because of this.
I really, really wanted to like her. She put so much energy into teaching- she would probably be a good 7th grade teacher- but her whole nit-picky, bean-counting, spastic, flailing act is ineffective and antithetical to creativity. Be prepared to be extremely frustrated and very disappointed. Many extra credit opportunities: over complicated.
Professor Kim, please stop rating yourself. It's obvious. Your class is terrible. Just face the facts. Many of us are not English majors, hell over half of us haven't taken English in the past three years. So please stop grading as if we are professional writers submitting in-depth literary analysis essays for publishing.
Don't take her class if you want an easy A, you'll be lucky if you get a B. With that said, my essay skills have improved. I just don't think it was worth bringing my GPA down... reconsider.
Please, I am begging you, don't take this class. I love writing; I actually came into SCAD as a writing minor. I worked so much harder than an introductory English class should ever make you work, allowed my other classes to suffer, and I am barely making it through with a C. I LOVE writing but this class isn't about writing, it's about dead lines
This class was a lot of work, however I ended up doing well in the end. She is a hard grader, especially on Essays 1 and 2, but as long as you pick up all the bonus points you will still do well. My essay scores were B, C, and A and I still got an A in the class. She provides tons of feedback and comments on every essay draft which helps alot
It is a shame that this class is a requirement for architecture students. And it a shame that professor Kim is the ONLY option. She grade you as a professional New York Time's Writer submitting for publication. With all good intentions, she will make you hate writing. I had to spend serious time, more than my studio class for a "B". A Major waste!
Prof. Kim, You are the nemesis of creativity, grow up! You fail to adapt your classes to suite an audience of creative professional who are NOT majoring in writing. This is not a level 100 class, it is a 700! You succeed in only one thing, deterring you perfectly smart and talented student from gaining interest in writing. Don't take her!
I'm not a writing major but i'm good enough to the point where I shouldn't have had to try as hard as I did for a B. I can't say I've actually learned anything either. When the majority of your class has D's you can see there is definitely a direct correlation between the grades how good a teacher Mary Kim is. She's a nice women just bad teacher.
She is never satisfied with the work you produce. grades very strictly. Punctuality is very vital for her, as one minute can make a lot of difference. Would not recommend.
Absolutely the worst professor! At first, I was excited for the class, and I actually enjoyed all of the short stories we read, but she is just a terrible teacher. All she does is jump around in front of you and bams the desks. The only way to get through the class is to go to her extra help sessions that are set up at worst times. Don't do it!!!
Mary Kim takes her job very seriously, with extensive feedback on all work submitted. She was very help and energetic. You can easily achieve a good grade if you complete the extra credit bonus journal opportunity, and illustrate your dedication by attending extra help sessions. A great perk of her class is that she provides snacks!
Mary is a great professor! She genuinely cares about her students and goes out of her way to offer as many bonus points as possible. I had a pretty hectic schedule last quarter and she was happy to work around it. She even brings snacks for her classes! She can be quite hyper so if that's not your thing you might want to look for a new prof
I honestly feel that I learned more in a single class period of high school English than in 20 classes of her course. She spends so much time going over MLA format, which is already explained in a required book, and can easily be Googled anyway. Can be very helpful in office hour meetings outside class, but otherwise quite unclear and unfair.
Mary Kim is very passionate about her classes. She is a tough grader and expects a lot from students, but as long as you show effort, she will see that. I made C's on all three papers, yet still made an A in the class. Mary Kim works with students to make sure they succeed. I wouldn't take her again, but I'm glad I took her and make it through.
Don't take this class if you want an easy A. She's an extremely tough grader. I almost always get As in writing classes and here I'm struggling to maintain a B+. I can tell that she really wants us to improve though which is why she's so tough. She's really entertaining & she brings snacks to class which is nice if you have her for an 8 am.
I really wanted to like this class. I have it for an 8am and I haven't missed a class yet. I do every assignment on time and I always adjust my essays to what her comments were, and it's still not good enough. It's a frustrating class and it'll make you want to pull your hair out. If looking for an essay class just to move on in your studies, don't
never take this professor. The worst teacher of English i've ever experienced. All she cares about is how to use MLA, which is an Admin skill. Not english.
She is a great person, but she is really disperse while giving classes. She tries to be funny but she is not. She is the hardest grader i've ever met but she does not give a class that has the quality that she is expecting from her students.
She is a very nice and funny woman. However, she is a tough grader. Most complain, and while it is annoying, her grading allows you to become more vigilant when you are writing. I recommend her if you want a challenge, but some would not be able to handle the heat.
Everything you need to knowsurvive: She's tough, you'll need to work for your grade. She brings snacks every day for the class. Don't take her essay editingrevising personally(I did and I was in tears). Go to extra help sessions, you'll get extra creditparticipation. Do the bonus journals. Ask if your MLA is correct BEFORE final draft is due.
I have been a long time lover of writing and Mrs. Kim made it seem like a chore. She supplies you with "informative" papers galore but none of them provide any helpful information. She gives little to no explanation of what she wants and then will penalize you when you don't give her exactly what she was looking for. Just don't take this class.
She wasn't bad if you do your work and work really hard, but she gives a lot of work and grades really tough on essays. Her book she has you read is easy though. Make sure to use her bonus opportunities because you will need them. I didn't like her as a teacher very much, but she was nice and you could end up with worse teachers
Professor Kim may be an excellent writer, but lacks the ability to teach. Her 2.5 hour lectures include rambling on about basic writing skills, and immature class participation exercises. As long as you use the syllabus as your guide for essay writing, you will be okay. Just remember to post and email work, and be in class on time, or else!
Worst professor ever !!!! One big regret in my life would be taking her class. She isn't clear at all, she herself doesn't know of what she wants from the student. she is super confusing. She tries to act cool, but no she fails at doing so. She needs to understand students properly and not judge them by where they come from. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.
Tough, tough grader. Not always crystal on what she wants, so you have to go to her and her extra help sessions to clarify her grading. Its easy to get frustrated however if you just keep professional and explain what you were going for and how to fix it, she can be very helpful. Cares and wants you to do well but only if you care too.
PLEASE LISTEN when I say that she is EXTREMELY unclear and aggravating. Be ready to receive work back with the most contradictory feedback you've ever received. Make a small mistake? You'll probably get a 0. If you are even 1 minute late to class she won't let you get any credit or accept late work. Huge stickler for rules. Please don't take her
This class was the hardest class I have ever taken. While she makes her expectations pretty clear they are extremely unreasonable. A passing grade on a college leveled paper in her mind is a C. Her grading system is confusing and many students have to end up withdrawing from her class just to keep their GPA up. Protect your sanity and DONT take her
failed me on a quiz because I arrived ONE minute late. WORST professor in scad, tough grader and very boring classes. Do NOT take her
She is the toughest grader I've ever had in my life. She is very unclear with her grading criteria: the more she tries to explain the more confused you get. So read the Syllabus carefully the first day of class! NEVER hand in ANYTHING late. She takes crazy amounts of points off!!! Do all the bonus points, go to extra help & do multiple drafts.
She may be a hard grader, but you'll learn something from her feedback. Even though a part of me wants to cry when I read the critiques she writes, she makes sure that you will be improving and puts an emphasis on publishing. She cares about her students and their work. Great for anyone who genuinely wants to learn and take the class seriously.
Do Not Take this class from Professor Kim. Her feedback is not clear. After multiple drafts she will give you a 0 if the MLA format is off. I am talking about papers with over 1500 words. I was so discouraged in this class. I would recommend taking this course from another professor.
Quirky teacher that is passionate about the topic and lessons. There are open book assessments. Always available for extra help. However, when you have high hopes about your essays, the grade ends up being low. Even if you follow her extensive feedback, it is usually never be up to her standards. Usually talks for the 2.5 hours of class.
Her energy was too high for me. Her feedbacks on my papers made me cry. Please do the extra credits. They are very helpful. Do not take her if you are generally not a super-A student. Even if you thought you're good at writing, you'll suffer for sure. You might get an A but you must suffer! Avoid if you can
Truly one of the worst educators I've ever had the displeasure of learning from. Professor Kim is awful at giving feedback and providing clear information that allows her students to succeed. In class, any time a student asks even the smallest question, she responds in a negative, critical, and defensive manner that discourages students.
I had her for ENGL123, would definitely not take her again... I hated her so very much. Advice, if you get her... run very fast and far. She is a bad teacher, doesn't help and grades toughly. Run, run like the wind... trust me.
If you fail any of your work whether its a presentation, works cited, or a paper, make sure you go to one of her extra help sessions to go over your work. She will try to be fair and help you achieve a better score. If you don't she will give you an F as a final grade for that project and you will likely fail the class. You've been warned
Absolutely one of the worst professors I have ever met. You will be bombarded with daily emails that are copy/pasted and lengthy; unclear and very poorly written. If you have a rigorous class schedule otherwise, you will regret living if you add this teacher. Steer well clear.
I love her so much. But I will admit that she's a hard grader. rn, I'm still taking the class; but I don't think that I'm going to get higher than an 80 on an any of my essays; and I put crazy amounts of work into them. Me personally, I enjoy her sense of humor and her lectures; but it seems I'm alone in this.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS OR ANY CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF ENGLISH OR POETRY I'VE EVER HEAD. YOU WILL WANT TO JUMP OUT OF THE WINDOW WHEN SHE STARTS TALKING. I CANNOT ITERATE THIS ENOUGH, DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS.
I cannot fathom why she still has a job, do not take this class.
Mary Kim is one of the worst educators I have ever encountered in my academic career. She is absolutely unable to give comprehensible feedback but will grade you very harshly on the material you produce under her. DO NOT take this class if it is at all avoidable.
Mary C Kim is a nice person and at times understanding. Never even listen to her directions because she will tell you one thing but want another last minute. She will give examples for project and even if you were to do her exact example she will tell you its wrong. DO NOT TAKE.
Read interesting books. Didn't need textbook. LOTS of extra credit opportunities.
Tough grader for no reason!!!!!! Do not take her class!!!!
very harsh grader, with NO consistency, from week to week, even with the same type of assignments. Wayyyy too tough grading for an intro-level class.
The teachers very condescending and will treat you like you are a writing major. She sighs when grading work and when you haven't written something to her standards she treats you rudely. This is the hardest class I have taken and I have gone to extra help classes, but she just doesn't treat you with respect and it's hard to pay attention.
Kim's class wasn't necessarily hard but it definitely wasn't fun. She can be a bit awkward and is pretty harsh on grading. I personally wasn't a fan of the class.
As long as you do work on time and aren't afraid to talk during class it's fine. She offers a lot of extra credit which is super helpful if you take advantage. People who come in closed minded thinking the class will be a breeze don't get along with her but if youre respectful and hard working the class is enjoyable and you will learn a lot.
This professor is by far the worst experience I have ever had at SCAD. Every single assignment even after seeking help and spending countless hours was given a failing grade of below a 70. The professor was very unreliable with response time, especially emails. No student should be hovering from failing for weeks 3-9 due to the PROFESSOR notwork?
This professor is one of my favorites! She has a fun personality and is quirky! The class was not really that hard aside from the first essay, and even that was not too difficult. The books that we read are very fun and engaging, even the poetry book! She offers a ton of extra credit, so it was difficult to fail the class!
This is the worst SCAD professor expeirence I've evr had. She's inconsitent with her grading and what she wants. She expects very specific things without telling us, and teaches an overall boring and un-stimulating class. I hate her African American Literature class with a burning passion and dread the day I'd ever have her again. Dont do it.
I'm pretty good at writing essays and this class made me want to run into oncoming traffic by the second week. Very unclear with what she wants out of you and gets very negative when asked for more clarity on projects. Final power point I had to revise a total of seven times before turning it in and just barely got an A on it. Avoid at all costs.
She was very disorganized and often spent the entire class speaking. She spoke over students, would jump across the room if they weren't speaking loud enough, and called students out on the last day who hadn't participated. But hey, she brought snacks to class in the morning.
THE WORST! VERY unclear with grading, ESPECIALLY online. I spent more time babysitting her online class than I have ever done in any of my studios. I'm usually an A student, but after the second essay (mind you, she told me I was doing great) she gave me a low D. Had to drop the class to save my GPA and my sanity. AVOID.
Harsh grader, unclear instructions that need to be deciphered. Material is interesting, but I suggest taking another teacher if you care at all about your GPA. Avoid.
HORRIBLE grader. Goes back and fourth and changes rules, ldoesnt make exceptions for anything. Very strict, and isnt afraid to give everyone poor grades. Worst experience at SCAD so far.
VERY unclear with grading and what is expected for each assignment. Changes how she wants to grade things even after asking clarification one-on-one. Grades very harshly. One slip up and your grade is done for. Not an easy A for English elective to get out of the way. Saving graces: responds to emails quickly, extra credit will SAVE YOU
The worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. Every class I missed was because I could not stand to be around her. She is excessively rude and I have personally seen her make multiple people cry without blinking an eye. The amount of people who were still failing the class by the last week was not ok. Do not ever take her classes.
This teacher is so far removed from her own students that it feels like she doesn't exist at all. I took my paper and the essay rubric to the writing studio to have them regrade it and they gave me a solid A. Mary Kim gave me a 50. She doesn't care if you understand what you read-she just wants hyper-specific things that do not matter. Unrewarding.
DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR SHE IS INSANE AND HAS EXPECTATIONS THAT CAN NOT BE MET.
Let me echo the previous comment: "DO NOT EVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR SHE IS INSANE AND HAS EXPECTATIONS THAT CAN NOT BE MET." This professor is the toughest grader I ever had in my studies and hardest class I ever I taken; raising my anxiety and depression needlessly with her ruthless grading. As a warning, I recommend not taking any of her classes.
Professor Mary gives a lot of chances for extra credit but she's a very tough grader. She is always available in her office hours and helps you with many assignments. But she expects a lot from students and gives a lot of reading work. But her group projects are great!
This professor just could not accept the fact that she is teaching in an art school. Doesn't she ever know we are actually don't care about this class anymore? When she is a ridiculous grader I ever had in my 5 years of studies. I work almost every day on this HELL class; to make sure I am not gonna fail. We are already struggling to eat and sleep
Mary Kim is the worst professor i've ever had. You will get a 0% on a paper if you get anything wrong in a citation. She is unclear in instructions, and changes her mind randomly from class to class. She will not tell you when things are due, what she wants, and I didn't learn anything.
Mary Kim has been extremely helpful. I came to scad to study film, and was worried Id be weighed down by course work that didnt relate to film. Mary Kim however has been really helpful. She finds a way to incorporate every students major in our two main projects, and it makes the class a lot less stressful and more interesting.
I would not recommend taking this professor unless you really are a masochist. She is rather unsure of what she wants in class which often leads to her telling you one thing one day and then telling you to change it the next. Her ways of teaching are engaging until you hit a project where you get hit out of left field by a whopping 60/100.
You will not get an A in her class unless you go for bonus points (yes, they matter). Make sure you do citations correctly in her class or your project will get a failing grade. Writer's Studio helped me pull my grade from a 48 to a 86 because she gives you bonuses when you go!
She is the worse professor I ever had, her voice is boring and she is such a hard grader, especially we are at the pandemic and she wont even care about if u have any issue on blackboard and stuff, she wouldnt trust you and just grade you zero.
I feel really, really bad for all of these comments. Mary Kim is an exceptional professor, I have taken her twice and loved every second. She is VERY clear with grading (she explains it during projects, AND its in the course packet she gives to all students). She offers tons of extra credit, you can literally get up to 15% if you take advantage.
she very clearly explains what is expected. a very tough and picky grader but offers many extra credit opportunities so I finished with an A. reallllyyy loves poetry
She's a great professor, I surely learned a lot from her. The only thing is that she's very VERY passionate about poetry and expects you to be as passionate as her. As long as you get the hang of how her classes go and how she teaches you'll do great. (but always make an extra effort, she appreciates it.)
My class complained but I didn't have any trouble at all. I'm decent at english and I was chilling. If you follow her instructions exactly, you will get an A easy. The assignments were easy and she starts at the beginning with paragraph structure and slowly transitions to full essays. Her pacing was extremely generous so no one was left behind.
