Prof Kusenda is super nice and is always willing to help. She is a fair teacher, study and you will do well.
Professor Kusenda is a very nice person. Like the other person on here said, study on your own a lot and you will do well.
Gives helpful review sessions and stays for hours if you need the help.
You won't learn much from her class, but you will do well if you study from her review sessions. She doesn't actually know what she's teaching...she's just reading from the book and power points provided by the publisher. So she can't answer any questions. It's an easy A/B, but you won't know much coming out of her class.
pretty good professor. very very helpful! she's really nice...just getting started as a professor, but i bet in a few years she'll be a professor that everyone tries to get.
i had her during summer session A. She is a very nice person and a great teacher. Follow her review sheets and you will get a good grade. I would take her for all of my classes if i could.
She's a pretty good prof. and her review sheets are amazing! They're pretty much the test, so even though there's a lot of info to know, it's not to hard to get a good grade in her class.
Professor Kusenda is super sweet and extremely helpful. Anatomy and physiology is not an easy class to take or teach, Prof. K was very thorough and made sure we were understanding before she moved on. go to her review, it helps with the test. pay attention and read the textbook and you will do fine
she is a great teacher, dont buy the textbook. her test are her review sheets and all answers are in the powerpoint. i barelt did much work and got an a in the class, take her for both bios. she is worth it , and is soo sweet
Fair teacher! Definitely take her for both bio 120 & 121 classes. Do her review sheets and that's whats on the test. Lab is easy too, annoying that its on a friday but w.e! She's so nice too.
Simply the best
Don't buy the text book. Study her slides in and out. I mean know her slides IN and OUT trust me . Do not look pass ANYTHING. She will focus on the simplest things that you might look pass and she is very specific with details. You have to study study study her slides. You can't pass without really studying.
I had Dr. Kusenda for lab. Her tests are much harder than they need to be and she does not follow the syllabus AT ALL. She is very awkward and does not seem to genuinely care about her students. She is nice though. For lab i spent days studying for tests because of the overwhelming amount of material. Heard she's great for lecture though...
I had her for lab, and really liked her. She explains everything clearly, and makes lab interesting. There were 2 lab reports and two in class exams and one take home.
One of my absolute favorite professors at Molloy! You have to put an effort in her classes, but you will leave with a lot of knowledge.
get out of her class now! doesnt know how to teach so be ready to teach your self everything she is the most boring teacher you can tell she does not care about her students she makes the class harder then needed her review sheets dont reflect the test while she says it does not sure how she is still working here bc many kids in my class is failing
I had her for labc. Lecture tests are difficult. Review sheet is given but its not whats on the test. Half of the exam feels like she mentioned it in class maybe once. so pay attention. Focuses on detail. Lab class is impossible. Amount of material and detail she test on is RIDICULOUS. She makes it so much more difficult than A&P already is.
Great teacher. Always makes sure everyone understands before she goes on and each lecture she reviews what we learned last week. Gives you a review sheet that is all of the test and then goes over that with you before the test! Plus if you do the review sheet in full you get a point on the test. Cant ask for much more from her shes sooo great
I took Dr. Kusenda for 3 bio classes. She is an amazing research mentor! She is patient in explaining complicated topics, she reviews our work& gives us feedback. She knows the material and is always willing to help. I'm happy I took her as my mentor and I definitely recommend her. The class may be lots of work but you'll be fine once you work hard
I have her for my anatomy lab, there is more homework than you might get from your other classes. The homework is mostly just worksheets are just finishing up activities in the lab book. You get the sense that she really knows a lot about anatomy when going over the powerpoints.
Lazy. Does not make any of her slides, or her own exams. Review sheet provided is nothing like the exam. She takes forever to grade anything. She does not respond to emails. Takes over a week to get lect tests back, &messes up the scantron every time. We are responsible for catching her mistakes. Taken over a month to get a lab report back. avoid!!
She is really nice and sweet answers all questions and gives out powerpoint and allows you to jo down notes. Test comes from everything that she says in class!!
Professor Kusenda is a nice person. A little awkward at times. She makes mistakes on the exams, just always check her grading. Lectures are a tad boring. Don't waste your money in purchasing the textbook- you will NOT use it.
Hard to say if shes great or simply just okay. In the beginning she stuck to her review sheet and then towards the 2nd and 3rd exam did not. Doesnt double check scantron or look for unfair questions so make sure you look when you get a test back. Lectures felt hours long but was a pretty good intro course. Super sweet and always answers questions
Shes an alright teacher. She gives review sheets but theyre nothing to do with the test. The tests are worded oddly and her lectures are extremely boring. If you have to take her it wouldnt be the worst thing in the world. Just make sure you study and youll do fine.
Had her for lab. She was very kind but seemed a bit off at times. Made you stay until the last minute. Homeworks were easy and gave review sheets. Double check her grading on exams, there is usually an error.
Her lectures were extremely boring, bring your laptop so you can do other hw. She doesn't add anything besides what's on the powerpoint & doesn't seem as knowledgeable as she should be. She gets very confused when asked questions & is often proven wrong by students. She does give review sheets though that are almost the exact same as the test.
Prof. Kusenda isn't a bad teacher at all. I took ger for BIO 120 and her tests are EXACTLY like the review sheets she gives us. Her lectures her def boring and bring your laptop or other devices to do other homeworks/studying. She is a little on the weird side (tries to be funny) but besides that, she is a fair teacher. YOU WON'T NEED THE TEXTBOOK!
I had her for lab and lecture. Her tests are similar to the review sheets but some of the questions are worded weirdly on the test which makes it harder. Her lectures were good I learned a lot from her. For lab she does give a lot of work and info. She is a good professor and she explains everything well, it's just that biology is a hard class.
Professor Kusenda holds very boring lectures but she's very clear with her grading. she gives reviews sheets and as long as you study the review sheets on your own and show up to the review classes, you will pass. she is a smart lady you'll definitely learn something from this class.
This teacher is a solid choice for BIO 121 Lab. She makes sure you understand what each lab's purpose is and shes also a very caring lady. Her lab tests are similar to her review sheet so she gives a fair chance to pass and She is also a funny lady. Take her if you can !
Shes an okay professor. Awkward at times, and will stare at you to make sure youre doing the lab work. She sits in the back row during tests, and despises those who sit there. Review sheets for tests are spot on. Make a study sheet with whatever she listed and youll get an A. Homeworks are easy and a good grade booster. I would take her again.
Great professor. Really makes the subject easy to learn by simplifying the material. The exams are extremely fair, if you study the review sheet you will do great in the class. She also offers plenty of review time before an exam which is so helpful. Everything is uploaded on canvas and she is a sweet lady.
Had her for bio lab and will be happily taking her again next semester for lab and another class! She is super nice and caring and wants you to have a good grade. She is always happy to answer any questions and gives helpful feedback if you made mistakes on labs/homework. If anything is unclear, just ask and she will help you! Take her!
Great Professor! Gives out the BEST study guides for tests and really explains every thing well. Easy to seek help from and is clear on grading. Very nice and funny but a little socially awkward. Studying is a must for this class. Write down things she says in the lecture on top of the powerpoint. She is great for lab as well.
Miss Kusenda was very sweet. Her tests are exactly from the review sheets. She makes mistakes on tests however so look them over - A LOT. Goes over review questions and makes anatomy easier to remember and understand.
Great professor. Must go to lecture to understand material. Tests are super fair. Gives awesome review classes. No unnecessary work. Best choice for A&P I and II. She is great in lab as well. Is accessible outside class.
Easily one of the worst professors at Molloy. She is very unorganized, always messes up tests, and is not approchable. Her tests are nothing like her review sheets and when the class became online, it was a nightmare. She piled us with so much more work and literally made lab impossible. Avoid!
She makes a lot of mistakes in her exams. Her exams are not like her review questions so you have to read the textbook. She is a nice person but she is not a good teacher. Basically, you have to teach yourself to do well in class. DO NOT TAKE HER
Maybe it was just me, but I had a hard time paying attention and I'm an A student. She put me to sleep most days. But I don't think it's her fault. I think the class was just terrible because there was nothing much to discuss being a freshman class.
I thought professor Kusenda was okay. She at least takes the time to record her lectures weekly. Her exams are roughly based on the "Focus" review questions she posts, additional studying is required. I didn't use the book at all. I found study material online -- some of which had word for word questions she uses on her own exams.
Prof Kusenda is very straightforward with what you need to know in order to do well. Do her review questions prior to exams, they will help. Exams aren't too hard if you understand the material. Weekly Zoom meetings were held to better understand lecture material and she was great about clearing up confusion about questions. Highly recommend!!
Professor Kusenda is a great professor. Her weekly zoom sessions were useful and helped to clarify the material. Definitely study the focused review questions she posts, they will be a great help for the test. Some topics can be confusing but she gives good tips on memorizing everything. If you are willing to study, you will get a good grade.
This class was very manageable esp with the pandemic going on. you mainly work on your own and meet on zoom once a week for questions/concepts you need help with. Prof Kusenda is pretty okay. she has some mistakes on test and quizzes and exams are very long. the class is up to you tho and how much you study on your own
Mrs. Kusenda is a great teacher. As long as you study her focus review questions you should be fine. Didnt use the text book at all. Her video notes are pretty good. You should be fine on her exams as long as you understand the material. Shes accessible outside of class and answers her emails efficiently. I would definitely take her again.
Dr. Kusenda is NOT the best. She gives cut-ppt's, so the textbook would've been a good initial idea. Zoom lectures are only 30 min meanwhile we pay for 1.5 hours. Her exams are a tough. Takes a while to respond to emails. She's the reason why I'm behind in A&P 2, she is not the best prof. Take anyone else for your own sake. I regret her so much now
Worst professor ever. Her powerpoints are out of date, have some incorrect information, she cannot answer questions with clarity and needs to look everything almost everything up. She also teaches using only Panoptos (which would be ok if it were other professors), but she reads off the slides and makes up unclear examples from her head.
Kusenda simply did not teach us correct information. Her focused reviews somewhat outlined the test but there were numerous questions that would not have a correct answer on her tests. I'm good in A&P, but this class is something else. She grades almost exclusively on the three exams and final, and does not give extra credit. Confusing lectures.
She is not the best, but not horrible either. Her focus review questions are definitely the key to passing. Lectures were sometimes confusing and did not really help. Overall, just a meh teacher. Some tests questions were very hard. She is open to hearing students thoughts and tries to help the most she can.
Dr. Kusenda is okay for lecture. Most of her exam questions are straightforward but some are really similar to each other. You need to watch her Panopto's a few times if you really want to remember the material. She's not a BAD choice but I liked Dr. Kumar so much better for A&P.
AVOID!! I had her for anatomy and physiology 1 and she was nice and all but her lectures are so boring and her test didnt add up to her review questions.
Was not the biggest fan of Dr. Kusenda as a person. The lectures can be bland but she does the best that she can. Tests were extremely straight forward and she gave focused review questions before exams so that you knew what to study. The material itself was a lot to learn but she taught it well. I would definitely take her again!!
She is a great teacher and person. She gives review questions for each chapter that are literally what is on the test so as long as you study those, you will do great. She also has great reviews before every test where she goes over the questions. She is really a nice person and gives no homework and no textbook, she is straightforward. Take her!
Dr. Kusenda is a great choice for A&P 1. If you set time aside for this class to study, you will do fine. This class has a lot of information, but Dr. Kusenda breaks it down nicely and gives you specific questions to focus on for the test. She is also very sweet and cares for her students. Only down side is that the lectures do get boring.
I honestly loved taking A&P 1 with Dr. Kusenda she is so nice and very helpful and loves to hear any. Overall just study go over your notes look at the pictures in the slides I printed out my slides and wrote little notes on the side. If you have any difficulty just ask her please. She also has Panopto reacordings after each class and practice quiz
Professor is very monotone. Will take everything she teaches off of the textbooks, acts like you know what you're learning like its your specialty. Very monotone and answers her own questions. Goes off of an 80 slide lecture for every class. Looks like the women actress in the wrong missy.
Kusenda, you gotta do better. Her lectures are so boring, monotone voice. Half the kids sleep in class. She be talking so fast, she be rushing her powerpoints for no reason. When she reviews, she expects us to know all the words in her powerpoint.
For a pretty hard class, Kusenda does a great job at explaining her PowerPoint and making sure you understand the material. No homework and gives practice quizzes after every chapter to make sure you are on the right track. Definitely make flashcards and prepare early before tests and you will do fine. Tests are straight forward.
Lecture heavy and mostly read off slides, but had lots of resources and was open to questions. Gave opportunities for extra points each exam, but make sure you listen to the lectures because you may get tested on content that was not on the slides/focused review.
Super easy class and an easy grader. She quickly informs us of everything we need to know, has us do our assignments, and lets us leave whenever were done. Most classes were super quick. Would def recommend taking.
I love her. She is a bit monotone which can make her hard to listen to but IF YOU LISTEN TO HER LECTURES, you will do extremely well. If you just write down what she says, rather than trying to understand and decipher power points ( which are from the textbook ), you will do so much better. She is such a kind woman and wants you to do good.
Kusenda is a great proffesor , unsure why she has 1 star reviews . Maybe online classes? Review sheets are key for exams , she dedicates one class on review goes over each question on her reviews . If there is a question that is on the exam that isnt on the review sheet she will let you know. no hw , no group projects , no text book needed. (:
Her lectures are long and it can be hard to not want to sleep but you have to pay attention and read the slides. Do the test reviews and read the PowerPoints a few times and you will pass her exams. She is actually one the best professors for A&P. She simplifies A&P, and she really knows what she is talking about. Take her and avoid Dr. Prego.
Professor Kusenda is a sweetheart. She is very straightforward and she doesn't try to trick you. If you need help, don't be scared to reach out to her. She is pretty monotoned which can make you lose your focus but over all that is okay because she is so nice with her Focused Reviews. MAKE SURE TO DO AND STUDY THEM!! She does one review day to!
Dr. Kusenda is an amazing professor. She is very knowledgeable and she was willing to work with students and made her objectives of the course and each test very clear. This semester we also did a workshop that was very interesting and if you are looking to go into the medical field, I highly recommend this course and this professor. 10/10.
The class itself is a bit difficult, Professor Kusenda tried her best to make students understand the material and would give multiple opportunities to pass. Review questions for each test are posted and reviewed before each test. The questions helped a lot, but there were also small extra credit opportunities. Grade is based on all tests tho.
Dr. Kusenda is so sweet and such a great professor! Pay attention to her lectures and do the review questions she provides because they are your key to success. She makes the class enjoyable and engaging.
A&P is an overall hard subject to understand, but Dr. Kusenda explains each topic really well. She is willing to repeat processes that is really hard for students to understand. She gives out review questions for each exam, and goes over it the lecture before the exam. If you have the chance, you must take her!
Prof Kusenda was a great professor. For being a difficult class, she explained material excellent and prepared you well for exams with her study guides. I would def take her again!
The class itself had a lot of material but as long as you study you will do well. She talks very quick so it is hard to take notes. The reviews are very similar to the exam so make sure to complete the reviews. All exams including final are all multiple choice around 70 questions. Does not give homework & provides discussion board for extra credit.
Lectures are very fast. She is not very interactive but is efficient at giving all the material out. FINAL GRADE IS BASED OFF OF ONLY 4 TESTS. No homework, no quizzes. So you have to study and do good on the tests to get a good final grade.
For this being such a difficult course Dr Kusenda taught it very well. There were three tests and one final all which had a review sheet that she would go over beforehand. The lectures are very heavy but as long as you take good notes, complete the review sheets and study Dr Kusenda makes it a very easy class to do well in
shes very nice and has review guides and always takes time for questions
I loved Kusenda! I took her for A&P 1. There is no homework, so your grade relies on the exams. Although, she gives a review guide and does a review class for each test. I found that to be super helpful to succeed!
She is an amazing teacher.
I genuinely enjoyed her class. You can tell she cares about her students and wants you to pass.Somewhat lecture-heavy (you can expect that in any biology class), and no homework is given, but if you take notes of the important info, you'll be fine. Tests are straightforward and multiple-choice. I absolutely would take her again!!
She is a great professor, you can ask questions and she will answer them. Her lectures are long and boring, because it is a bio class, however she gives review sheets to help you study and her tests are all multiple choice. Sometimes she emphasizes stuff in lecture that will be on the exam so make sure to write what she says to study.
Dr. Kusenda, is great. Her lectures are super easy and she is a very good teacher. She goes through everything thoroughly. She is super sweet and is accessible outside of class. Three exams + Final
Dr. Kusenda is a great professor. Her lectures feel a little boring, especially because it is so much information packed into one lesson and it is in the morning. However, she will slow down and explain something again with 0 issue if you ask. She ensures you get the grade you deserve. Her tests are average, but she provides extra credit and study.
Great professor! There's a lot of material, but she does go through it thoroughly and is prepared to help when necessary. Test are straight forward and she does a review before tests. Extra credit is also given
Kusenda is the BEST!!!! Her lectures are broken down incredibly for the subject, she tells you exactly what's on the exams and reviews before. I LOVE HER!!! Best professor I have had to date.
I LOVE KUSENDA! She is the BEST! She prepares you so well for exams because she truly cares. She breaks down this very heavy material thoroughly and concisely and literally tells you what is on ever exam. If you pay attention and study exactly what she says, you will get a great grade. Would take her for every bio class if I could.
Great professor.
She is great. Her lectures are good, you're able to ask questions and she will answer them! if you're thinking of taking a&p with her, you should.
Amazing professor makes learning easy, takes time to answer questions, and genuinely cares about the students.
Reads write off the power points and only grades based on tests. Does not give any extra opportunities to Bring grade up. Lectures are long and boring.
I would definitely say her class is lecture-based. There is no other grade except your exam grades. I would ask questions in lecture and participate because it does help learning the content, as well as taking notes, to help with studying the content. Go to office hours for sure, but understand you have to do your part and lock in from the start.
Honestly she is amazing and so patient. She will stop in the middle of the lecture just to explain or answer questions if someone is confused. Just pay attention to her slides and create quizzes and practice tests and you'll be fine. Her tests are 80 questions though so be prepared. Her tests are straightforward nothing you can't handle.
I really loved this class and Dr. Kusenda sis a fantastic job at explain things when the unit was extremely confusing. The only thing is you really need to pay attention, if you get distracted for even a second you can get lost quickly. But her test weren't too hard but wish there were more opportunites to be graded.
Professor Kusenda does a phenomenal job explaining the material. However, be aware that the only grades that go into the gradebook are her exams and lab assignments, reports, and exams. She gives no homework and the opportunity to earn a couple points by participating in a pre exam discussion . I wouldn't recommend falling behind in lecture.
I had Dr. Kusenda for A&P 1 and she was an amazing professor. She explains difficult material in a clear, easy-to-understand way and often repeats key points. Exams are very lecture-heavy and worth most of your grade, so attendance matters. She provides a helpful review sheet. She's also open to questions anytime. I'm taking her again for A&P 2!
Professor Kusenda Is really good a teaching, she makes lectures very understandable and she does not rush through things. She is always willing to help you If you don't understand. Her tests are pretty easy if you study since they are multiple choice. Overall I really enjoyed being in her class because lecture was enjoyable.
