I thought that there was absolutely no way I could ever pass math and get to the next level. I swear to everybody that I thought it was the imposssible. Mrs.Lashway simply made it very possible,very easy to understand and a teacher that will be rememebered for ever. She is the epitiome of the most amazing math teacher .Respect her and take her : )

Ms. Lashway is a great teacher! She's tough and she'll tell you how it is, but she does it with compassion, a smile and is forever helpful. I took the class in Summer A - very hard! But Ms. Lashway made it do-able! She treats you like an adult, shows understanding if traffic made you late or your kid is sick - do the work and she's awesome!

I never got the hang of solving mathematical formulas. But, Ms. Lashway is so thorough with notes that it's virtually impossible to not get it!! She's very personable and understanding. I would recommend her for anyone who has just about given up trying to succeed in Math. A total blessing!!

I was the epitome of someone who HATED math, failed at math, was NEVER good at math. This was the first math class I had taken that I got an A in, since elementary school. I had to take Pre-Algebra 1 over again to refresh myself, as I have failed Pre-Algebra 2, 3 times now.So I definitely plan to take her for Pre-Algebra 2 in the Fall!Do the work!

I took the 6 week Summer A class and its great!!! Pretty easy class, medium course load. She really knows how to teach people math and you should take her! She makes you show work and format correctly but that is so you actually learn/remember the material. Effective teacher A+

Best math teacher I have ever had, and one of my favorite professors at Palm Beach State. She kept me engaged the entire semester even when the subject matter was easy. She is particular and strict but very helpful. I am very disappointed I was not able to take her this semester, the teacher I got although is fine, is terrible in comparison.

She is helpful and is willing to work with you. did not like taking her MAT0028 class at all. but all and all she is one of the better math teachers.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! Best clarity I have ever received in a math course. A bit of a stickler if you are disrespectful or lazy. But I am no math genius, and she patiently worked with me every step of the way. You get out what you put in. Heavy book usage and LOTS of note taking but SO worth it. She can teach anyone!!!

Professor Lashway is the only teacher who has ever been able to explain Algebra to me, and math is not my forte. If you show up to every class, take notes exactly as she writes them, study, do the homework and come to class ON TIME, she will see that you are dedicated and will do everything in her power to help you pass. I wish she taught MAC1105.

Class time is one big lecture so you need to be there. Professor will get PISSED if you show up late or don't bring textbook. Really tries to give you as much partial credit as she can. One test about every two weeks. Professor is willing to meet beforeafter class and lets you review your tests. Great teacher overall

Take clear notes. There won't be a test question unless it is on the notes. Gives credit for partial answers. If you do the Review 3x you will get an A. I have always been terrible at math and she really helped me understand it better.

Prof. Lashway is AMAZING . I am personally horrible at math, but she goes through everything until everyone in the class understands it. If you do not understand it she is always there before class to explain ferther to you. She is very specific on what she wants on test, do it you will pass with a AB. HIGHLY RECCOMEND.

Best Math teacher I've had so far. I took her over the summer. Homework is straight out of the book, but she makes the tests according to how the class is doing. SUPER helpful & enthusiastic about helping anyone who wants the help. The only adjunct professor who doesn't treat their class like a part-time job. STAY FOR HER OFFICE HOUR if you can.

I am not the greatest at math, this isnt an easy class. But, she gives you every chance to do great. She has a lot of homework for practice. She doesnt like cellphones for a good reason, you arent learning from her if youre on your phone. She also has high expectations of her students, so if your there to mess around she is going to call you out!

I suck at math. She Made everything clear as to what was on the tests and final. She tries to give as many hints as she possibly can and test corrections matter if she sees you trying throughout the semester she will bump your final grade up. I wish she taught College Algebra! If you respect her and are on time every class you'll be fine.

Honestly she has been the best math professor I have ever taken, shes really strict and likes everything done a certain way but its because she truly cares about your grade and wants you to learn the material and pass. Second time taking MAT1033C and i highly recommend her for people that struggle with math, I know I do and i wouldn't be able to pass if it wasn't for her. She's very snarky but overall an excellent professor and genuinely cares about her students and their success. Teaches at a reasonable pace and gives you time to understand the material.

It takes a while warming up to her, but once you do you wont regret it. This is participation, come to class prepared, be on time, do not miss class, do not go on your phone, do all your required homework when she tells you to, and do not interrupt the lecture. Mrs. Lashway changed my life! I was so upset about what she said to me about what I can do. I wouldn't have been the A math student I am today if it wasn't for her speech. Wasn't good at math, but made sure we understood the material. Online homework on MyMathLab 4 every chapter that is due b4 test days. Gives a quiz at the beginning of class every day which I found annoying at 1st but helped me understand the material better. Wants a physical txtbook. Dont take if not expecting to do work. Cares for students.

The material is deep but Ms Lashway will do a good job at teaching you. Never leave the homework for later, you will definitely fail. High volume of homework that also will be in the tests, so do not skip them! Just follow her instructions that you will be well-succeed!

During the Summer, I took her 6 Week College Algebra class and I honestly do not regret it. She is one of the best math teachers I have had, she cares about her students success and was always able to give an extra hand when I wouldn't understand something. I recommend her because not only do you understand the content she is hilarious and cares!
