I have taken her class twice just because I liked her so much. I had a 68% the second time I took it, and she gave me a C. Her lecture notes are outstanding, and her tests are pretty easy, if you studied for them. I'd take her class again for the 3rd time

was a very nice and thorough teacher. explained things well with packets to look back over. she also let us have cheat sheets which helped a lot. Just study the packets according to the exam and you'll do fine.

Close to exams, she's willing to setup a time outside of class and go over materials you don't know. Go to those, it'll help alot, that's how I pass the class with a A! She's very patient and detailed, you won't be disappointed.

her test are weighted on everything HOmework is only 10% of your grade. i wish it was more. therefor if you are not a good test taker do not take this course. but she is one of the nicest teachers that i have ever had. i am going to take her again even though i had to drop.

She’s a great teacher and will go out of her way to help you. If you don’t understand something she will come to campus on her days off and go over any information you’re having trouble grasping. I have never had a better math teacher.

I highly recommend Mrs. Martin. She is an excellent teacher and so approachable! She's not one of those teachers who gets annoyed when you ask her questions. If you stay on top of your homework and come to lectures, you should do fine in her class.

If you are afraid of statistics take this teacher. She has spent a lot of time perfecting her lectures to help her students understand. Do all the homework and any extra assignments they will help you on the test. There is a lot of work, but it pays off in the end.

At first I hated her class. But if and when you are having a hard time, just talk to her and she will help you out a lot. My boyfriend had a 'D' in the class and pulled it up to an 'A' after finals. If you are taking this class, take it with her.

Professor Martin is one of the best professors I have come across. She is nice and teaches math well. She tries to make math as easy as possible but wants the material to be learned. She thoroughly explains the concepts of math.

i hated stats in high school but she made it very clear and understandable.VERY HELPFUL.she literally gave us old tests to study off of and thus the exams were no surprise.as long as you stay on track with the chapters you'll be fine.she is very clear and knows her stuff.

Mrs. Martin is a great teacher. The tests were very easy if you do the homework and pay attention on the few occasions she lectures (which she only does if the class is collectively confused.)

I took the class online, which was a little tough, but she was very quick to answer emails and was great about checking in on everyone. It's a lot of work though so you have to stay on top of things.

Working the problems out to their entirety will help on your tests. She does knit-pick at every single # or labeling of units. Try not to ask questions about things that have been covered previously b/c she will state her answer in a way where the question should not have been asked at all. Otherwise, she is very thorough with her answers.

Awesome class & profressor for those who truly want to learn Statistics and major in business. LOTS of homework and felt like I was doing more homework than my 5 unit algebra class. As long as you put the effort and create good formula sheets, you can get an A. If you don't study and like to cram before exam time, this is not the class for you.

Professor Martin was very nice and helpful. My only complaint was that the lectures moved only as fast as the slowest person in the class so could be tedious and boring.

Professor Martin responds quickly to emails,will give step by step assistance, and allows 2 page reference sheet on exams. I took class online and rarely used the book; used P Point notes to complete ch packets & watched the archived lecture videos. As with any 4 unit class be prepared to work. She gives clear instructions & cares about subject.

Professor Martin is absolutely great! She is very personable and explains everything clearly. She will answer any questions you have and gives you grade reports after each test. She also helps a lot during office hours. After taking her class, I feel very well prepared for the harder classes to come in the future.

Probably the best professor I've had. I took her class online, and it was very clear what she wanted and how she wanted it done. She responds kindly and quickly to e-mails. We had 3 tests and a final, 11 chapter outlines, around 13-15 pages each, pen & paper hw, and online hw. Lots of work, but great teacher.

I hate math but I liked this class. I took the interactive tv course so I could watch from home when I wanted to. She has a very organized system for each section and lets you use a page of notes for every exam. not looking forward to a cummulative final but that's just how math classes are. I would recommend her for your stats class for sure.

I love her, you go to the class you will learn all that you need to know. before this people i failed stats 2 times after taking her class i got an A that should tell you everything.Go to the class its a must, and always take the practice exams they are the reason i passed sometimes she uses the practice test you take as the exam so its worth it.

Mary Martin was my Math teacher 18 years ago. Mary Martin made me love and understand math. There is no math teacher quite like her. I moved from Sacramento many years ago and am now re-entering college in another state. How lucky you guys are to have the option of selecting her as your math teacher. I'm jealous.

Professor Martin is one of the sweetest ladies u will ever meet. She is very helpful if you ask. If you take her class and are confused with something I'd suggest going to her office hours. The only issue she has is that sometimes she rushes through lectures to meet with exam dates. She also likes to use calculators a lot.

This was my first online class, and Ms. Martin was excellent. I was very worried taking stats, but taking stats online made me even more nervous. I can't believe I passed this class with an A. She made this class enjoyable ( pre recorded videos) and most concepts I was able to understand on the first go around. Thank you, Ms. Martin!!

Mrs. Martin is SO helpful, and the way her class is organized makes it so that even students who struggle with math will succeed. Gives sample exams which are VERY helpful to study from. Do the work, and there is no way you can not pass with such a great teacher.

Profesor Martin is the most helpful and nicest profeesor i had so far at CRC. this is my first time taking her online class and she is so helpful. i just wish she gave a little less work...since students have other classes too. But overall she is very nice and understanding.

Job change forced me to drop, but was doing very well. She is so helpful and her class is organized better than any on-line class I've ever had. Don't listen to the raters who just want to skate through. Sure there's work, but if you plan your schedule and do the work--you'll learn. If you're dedicated student--she'll get you through.

She was very easy to understand and helped me so much. My first A in math ever!!! If you missed assignments she would often reopen them so you were able to make them up without penalty. If you don't do good in her class it was because you didn't do the work. I wish she taught the next class.

I took Math 30 online and it was a good experience. Professor Martin had lectures online and they were easy to follow. Overall the course was not too hard as long as you discipline yourself to commit the time to watch the online lectures and do the H.W. then you should do just fine.

Mary is great! I took the online summer class (6 week) and she is clear, organized and helpful. Just watch the lectures online and do the homework and you will get a good grade! She really cares about students learning and allows a formula sheet for exams.

I took this class online, but had to come to campus for tests. She is extremely helpful and if you feel like you're stumbling early on, ask for help! Email or go to office hours. The online homework you can do as many times as you want until you get it correct. Be sure to watch her lectures, it'll make everything much more clear for you!

Professor Martin is such a sweet person. One time she brought us oatmeal raisin cookies. She gives PowerPoint lectures and gives clear examples. She is always willing to help if you don't understand and she is very approachable. Homework is very manageable and you get a formula sheet on her exams and final. She's awesome!

If you hate STAT, this is the class for you. Her lectures are very clear and she is always available to help. Attendance is a must! 3 tests and a final, and she allowed the lowest test to be drop, but beware, test are not too hard but not easy either. As long as you do homework (online) and attend class, its manageable. Book are not necessary

Professor Martin is a sweet person who really cares for her students. She is always available to answer any questions and she is willing to work with you if you need help with something. The class is computer based and there is a lot of homework. The tests aren't difficult and as long as you study for them, you could easily get a "B" or an "A".

Professor Martin is nice and her lectures are great. However, her exams were difficult! She throws in questions that were never been given as examples during lectures. Although she probably just wanted to challenge students, it was still difficult. However, her lectures were great! She really knows what shes talking about.

She is a sweet professor and is very clear and good at giving her lectures. There are 2-3 homework assignments each week but she gives enough time to complete them. Her tests are hard and she also grades a little tough.

I absolutely loved her! If you are nervous about taking stats online take her because as long as you watch the lectures and do the work you will pass. She gives you all of the resources available to succeed in her class which is so important when taking a class online, especially a hard one like stats. Her lectures are clear and you will learn.

I was leery about taking an online math course, but she has the best formatvideo lectures, PPTs, notes packets, & online homework to practice the lessons. 1-page formula sheets allowed for each exam (a MUST!); 3 pages for the final. Don't bother with the book; you won't use it. I'd take another class from her; super helpful and always available.

Great teacher. Gives very clear explanations of very difficult material. Very helpful and very knowledgeable.

Super easy class. She uses Mymathlab code and she literally prints out the book for every chapter so you don't need the book at all. (I didn't crack open the book once)

I love Professor Martin, she is very helpful and very clear. The class requires the electronic book and expect homework at least twice a week. This class is only a 100 class but I would defiantly take more classes with her.

Good Professor, lectures very well and makes sure students are clear on the materials. However tests are extremely difficult and studying and tutoring will probably be needed. Majority of the class struggled and had to receive outside tutoring or dropped the class all together.

Prof Martin is amazing if STAT is not your subject. She offers extra credit and make up quizzes for your exam (if you do not do so well). She dropped the lowest exam and replaced it with the final if you did better (the final counted twice). Overall, I would take her again for any STAT class. She lets you use a sheet of paper for notes on exam.

Very easy class. All the hw is online. Quizzes almost beginning of every class so attendance is important. Also offers extra credit. Study guide is just like tests. Most of your grade is based on test and quiz scores so do well on those and you're solid. Overall very easy professor.

Professor Mary Martin is the best math professor at Cosumnes River College. I totally recommend her for Math 100. She is really kind and teaches us like we're own children. Love her style of teaching!

I thought I would hate STATs because that is what everyone says. Professor Martin made it clear and related everything to real life. Took the class online during the summer so it was accelerated and still enjoyed it. Her lectures are clear, she makes note taking a breeze and she is available for questions if you need.

Despite other reviews, I enjoyed my time with Professor Cann, and actually took to heart the literature he assigned, such as Self Reliance, and my new favorite book, Cannery Row. He can be on the harder side if you haven't taken a writing course before this, and his lectures are mostly him speaking and telling stories.

I took the online class. Weekly video lectures (4hrs total) and about 20pages of printed packets per chapter with fill-in style notes. These were a hassle because you HAVE to watch the whole video lectures to get them done, but they do help! Grading criteria is very clear, but almost your entire grade hinges on 4 exams. Homework 10%. Exams 90%

Martin was a great Stats professor. She always wanted to make sure you understood the chapters. As long as you pay attention in class and watch her lecture videos you should pass the class with a good grade. She also has a very great and caring personality.

One of the best mentors I've ever had. Martin has inspired me to love math again. The first time in years since I've ever gotten an A on a math test. I would 100% recommend Martin to anyone. If you actually listen to her and follow her plan, you will do so well. I started doing my homework and studying 1-2 hours a day. Do yourself a favor and join.

If you had taken a Stat's class in high school or are very good at math, then this class is going to be easy. All you do is show up to class, take some note with the note packet she offers, make sure that you complete the homework by Sunday night and your on your way to pass. People that say this class is hard is because they took the class online.
