i loved this class. my friends and i called it "sex 101". she was always open for discussion. you don't need to buy a book - she writes them, so she knows what she is talkin about!

My favorite gen-ed class ever! This is why...we talked about sex everyday and we also talk about other very interesting topics that relate to students lives. If you go to class and pay attention it's easy to get a good grade...I would recommend LCC to all

COMPLETELY AWESOME PROFESSOR! Always willing to take time to help her students. Good curriculum and you know right away what's expected of you. The work can be done if you put some effort into it, but don't leave it until the last minute. GREAT!

WOW SHE IS CRAZY! She makes class fun. LOTS of information, overwhelming at first but very doable! IT TAKES TIME...so spend time on it! You learn a lot. 60 or so multiple choice questions, in-class and homework assignments! VERY INFORMATIVE.

She was an amazing teacher. I have learned more in her class than all my science classes in high school combined. She makes it interesting and fun to go to. She writes her notes on the board for you to copy which is very helpful-especially around test time. I highly recommend her,GREAT teacher!

Loved this class. She is full of funny stories and writes all the notes you need to know on the board. Definitely have to study for the tests, though, if you want to pass the class.

Mary is one of the best professors I have had at UNI. She is passionate about the subjects and knows her stuff. She makes sure you know it as well. It is A LOT (and i mean A LOT!!!) of info but all interesting and useful so pay attention, keep good notes, and you'll do fine!

This is one of the best classes I have ever been in. She is an excellent professor. Writes everything on the board, and all tests are taken from those notes. Tough tests, but if you study for them you'll be fine. Very good lab instructor as well. Highly recommend taking her class.

She is awesome!! The class is tough, but she is really cool and helpful and i learned a ton! she makes things interesting and teaches easy ways to remember things, you have to study A LOT but the tests are right from the notes, and i did really well without doing any text book reading!

She's an awesome teacher, REALLY knows her stuff. If you pay attention in class and give it a little effort you'll be fine. LOTS OF NOTE TAKING! There's really no need for the text unless you like to clarify things in writing. Her assignments really help out with the current subjects in the class. Tests are hard - they really make you think - which is a good thing considering most people taking the class will go on and deal with the human body in some way.

The best teacher I think that I have ever had!! She takes the time to get to know her students and really loves what she does! She is a teacher that would go out of her way to make sure that you understand the material and she isn't a really hard grader... which is nice too!

Mary is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I learned so much out of her classes both Anatomy and Pys 1 and 2. I took the information she taught me and applied to all of my nursing classes and even proved some of my nursing professors wrong because of Mary's excellent teaching. You MUST study for tests in order to learn/succeed in her clas

She is an awesome professor. I didn't do well the first time I took this class but I am probably going to get an A now. She relates what you are learning to real life situations. She is very helpful and if you show up to class you should get an A. I don't like science but she makes it interesting.

Mary McDade is a great teacher. She is so knowledgeable about everything she teaches in class. She throws in real life examples that are entertaining and very funny. She has a great sense of humor. Attendance is a MUST. No need to read or even buy textbook, but you takea lot of notes and you need to study A LOT (AT LEAST 1wk in advance of tests).

Dont miss lecture! Everyday you take tons of notes and she gives out HW due the next class. You have to actually understand the material going into the test not just memorize. Loved the class dissecting the cat was fun.

Mary is great! She makes Anatomy so fun and interesting. She has a great sense of humor. Definitely study for the tests. They're not hard, you just need to know the information. Absolutely no need for a text book. Just go to lecture!

Knows all the information and relates it to real life. Must attend class everyday because there is always a possiblity of homework. One downfall is that it seemed like she chose favorites in the class. I'm not the teacher pet type so I felt as though my questions weren't as important as some others were.

Mary is absolutely wonderful. The class is pretty tough, but it's completely possible to get an A if you work hard enough for it.

Mary is one of the best teachers I've had. Class is tough study the material the night after every class and you'll be fine. She is always willing to help just ask. Study notes more than book if your in APII try and get in her lab. She makes class fun she always has something funny to relate the material to. Good teacher class and tests are tough.

I loved Mary! Granted the class was more work and harder than a typical college class, it was very interesting. Anyone can do well in the class as long as you take the time to memorize, memorize and memorize! She explains things very well but try to sit in the front because sometimes it's hard to hear in such a large room.

Mary is a great professor. She doesn't have as good of a relationship with the students as most bio professors, but the class is interesting. Be prepared to take A LOT of notes, and study A LOT for tests.

She has an awesome personality with great stories from her nursing experience to tie into class which makes it interesting. Material can be difficult if it doesn't interest you. Just be prepared to study alot!

Mary is a great teacher, and makes the class interesting to attend. Attendance is mandatory, and if you miss a class it is very hard to get caught back up. Mary sends powerpoints of the information she covers in class to make taking notes easier. Textbook for lecture is a waste of money, either don't get it or get an older edition.

Mary is a great teacher, mentor, and person. Loved her lecture style. If you're interested in physical therapy she is a great person to get to know. Highly recommend taking her class and labs.

Lots of memorization. Lectures really fast and even faster if you piss her off (having your phone out). Likes to start right away and goes to the end. God help you if you start packing up early. Anatomy with Mary McDade will be your favorite class if the human body interests you. I looked forward to her class everyday! Her lecture and lab tests are hard, but A's able if you study a little everyday. Most of the lecture test questions are applying concepts to clinical examples, and lots of true/False questions.

Lectures are everything. If you don't pay attention you're not going to pass. Can't get by without studying. She recommends buying the text book to help you with studying- I didn't use it once and did just find so don't bother (the lab text book is mandatory tho) it'll save you money. Lab is more difficult than lecture. Assignments are easy.

By far the best instructor on campus. Anatomy is a hard subject, but she is crystal-clear with lectures and lab. If you come to class and study consistently, you will do fine. Tests are straight-forward with no trick questions. She is VERY knowledgable and can give a practical use for everything in lecture. You will love her classes!

Ok, I love Mary so much- but if you thought even FOR A SECOND that you could get away with cramming, you are wrong. SO wrong. The lecture is really interesting though, and Mary is so funny. Watch out for lab practicals, and PUT AWAY YOUR DANG PHONE DURING LECTURE. Study every day, pay attention, and you'll be fine- very enjoyable class.

Mary is an amazing woman. I took her for both A&P 1&2. She is very thorough in her lectures and you write a lot, but time goes by very fast with her. Her tests reflect the notes, so skipping isn't the best idea. She also hates phones. Seriously hates them. Overall, she's an awesome professor!!

Despite this, I have always been able to walk out understanding everything and she's very thorough with her lectures and the her exams reflect everything you've seen in lecture, no surprises. Mary is my favorite prof at UNI. She makes it simple; show up, take notes, study, take the test. She's extremely down to earth and an all around caring person. Her class isn't easy, but that's because it covers hard material. Ask questions, but don't take up too much class time. Take her lab section if you can!

Mary is a very tough grader, but if you attend lectures and study, the exams aren't that bad. She makes the lectures really interesting and funny, just don't take your phone out in class. Best professor I've ever had.

Mary is great at explaining A&P and her lectures are hilarious at times. She will make you work for the grade you want. A&P 2 is a lot faster with tougher material so be sure to not get caught off guard. It is possible to ace this class if you study every day and take time to understand the material. She asks clinical-like questions on the exams.

I think the only reason people don't get a good grade in this class is because they don't put the effort into it. Mary cares how well you do and wants everyone to succeed. These aren't hard classes if you study as you go.

The best professor I've had. She really wants you to learn and will help you understand the material in any way that she can! The material is difficult, but if you attend class and prepare for your exams you will succeed. Also ask questions if you have them. Would totally recommend her for A&P I and II.

She's nice, but more importantly she lets you know exactly what you need to memorize to ace her exams. Just put in the time, as with any biology course, this one just has a higher volume of terms you need to understand; but personally I found her applications of the material engaging, I enjoyed my time in the class.

She is an amazing teacher who knows so much! I took anatomy with her. Of course it is going to be difficult, but it is certainly manageable. You can do it if you study, just like any other course! She doesn't give much extra credit so don't rel y on that. If you study your notes, you should be able to get a B or above.

Mary is simply amazing! She is kind, compassionate, and absolutely brilliant! I took her AP 1&2 courses and I loved every second! Sure they were hard and you had to study for them, but Mary makes it fun and interesting. Just follow along and youll be fine. Shes super easy to talk to never be afraid to tell her whats going on! Mary is the best professor I have had thus far. She genuinely cares about what she is teaching and how all her students are learning. She is approachable to questions and has so much knowledge on the subjects she teaches. AP I and AP II both require a lot of outside study time as they cover a lot in a short amount of time. Overall, Mary is great.

If I could do A&P 1 and 2 all over again with Mary, I would. Not only does she make lectures interesting, she writes everything necessary on the board. Redoing notes may seem like a hassle, but it helped me study and understand notes as well. It does take a lot of effort, but with hard work and Mary as the professor, an amazing time is guaranteed.

Anatomy is not conceptually difficult, there is just a lot of information to know. Fortunately, Mary makes it very clear what you need to know to do well on the tests. She is a former nurse and has lots of interesting stories which make lecture more interesting and help you remember content. I highly recommend taking A&P with Mary!

Im a pre-nursing student and Mary has been my favorite professor I have had so far. I was nervous taking this class at first, because I know how difficult A&P can be, but Mary is an excellent professor who not only prepares you extremely well for the exams, but also makes class interesting and engaging

I really loved Mary as a professor. You will need to attend all lectures because the 4 exams are based off of your lecture notes. Exams are challenging but if you really study your notes you will do well! She is extremely knowledgable and definitely prepares you if you are going into healthcare.

I took A&P 1&2 and was a TA for 3 semesters. I just finished 2nd year of med school, and Mary's classes were great prep for med school A&P. Other reviews are very true of her teaching/testing and approachability for questions. She's also a great person to talk to outside of class and is great for a letter of recommendation to professional school.

Mary is one of my favorite professors. Her classes are tough and there is a lot of content to memorize but it helps prepare students for the future. She is a no-nonsense professor but still wants to see all her students succeed in whatever they do.

Prof McDade was very skillful and had very important lectures, but they were very heavy, informational packed lectures. If you missed a day you would miss a lot of content. I had Mary 4 years ago! I am a doctoral occupational therapy student and her classes really helped prepare me for professional school. At the time the tests seemed very challenging but necessary if you are pursuing any degree in healthcare. The class is hard and you need to show up, study & take notesbut its manageable! Shes AMAZING.

If you need to take A&P take it with Mary! She is very knowledgable and really cares about her students and our success. Don't go on your phone in her class though, she will make you leave the class (didn't happen to me but almost did to other people multiple times). It's a difficult class but she makes it manageable and interesting.

Mary is an amazing prof. She is so attentive of her lectures and she posts previous recorded lectures so if you miss class you can go and watch them and they are almost identical of what is said in class. Mary is one of the best profs that UNI has for Anatomy & Physiology I and II
