I loved this class. Radeke made sure you actually learned the materials. Tests were kinda hard, but if you study you are fine. There are only five tests including the final and the lowest grade is dropped. Definitely take her class.

Radeke was a bit tough for me at first as she tends to got a bit fast through her powerpoints. All of them were available on blackboard though and she is really helpful if you go and see her during office hours.The course moves fast, but if you stay on top of everything, you'll do fine.no daily work, just 4 tests(lowest score dropped)and a proj.

Mary is wonderful! She makes everything so easy to undterstand. It was definately worth getting up so early for class every day. She does not take attendance on a normal basis but she gives out points when there are only a few people there. She talks about things not in the book, so I advise going to class. Trust me it is worth it!

If you study for the tests they are not too difficult, and you get to drop the lowest. downside she gives an occasional pop quiz.

I'm working on Psychology as a second major now because of this class. It was fun, engaging, interesting, and with just a little bit of self motivation it's not so hard to pass.

Class is not hard just alot of work required to do well in it and you should make sure to do extra credit. IF you dont do the work then class will be hard

Love her. She's helpful, easy to understand, and is funny. She gives great lectures that are definitely interesting. If you can take a class from her, do it! It's worth your time and money. The class may be too easy, but it's definitely worth it. Take it winter quarter, it's too short to require the research paper. (:

I loved this class. She is easy to understand with great examples and very funny. If you are going to take it, then take it winter quarter. It doesn't require a research paper and instead you have to do a mandatory study or two page write up. Much easier!

She is so fun! I LOVED going to class everyday because she makes the subject really interesting. Lots of extra credit opportunities. First time this quarter that they did Lab sections. DO THE READING. It helps. Tests were overall good, always had ex. credit. I LOVE psychology now because of taking this class.

Super fun class for a lecture. She was very passionate about the subject and enjoyed a good discussion on the subject. She definitely knew what she was talking about and could explain it in different ways if you needed it. Enjoyed the class and enjoyed the professor!

Attendance is NOT mandatory but i suggest going to class because it is interesting and the more you miss, the harder quizzes/tests are going to be. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS CLASS, and Radeke was great. It's a large lecture class so you get no specialized attention (beside lab days), however, she is crystal clear with her explanations and is always open to answer questions. GREAT class!

Great teacher! Interesting, funny, nice on the eyes, sweet, caring and all around awesome. She gives lots of help when needed, if she can. Almost always a line outside her door, so hard to get in to talk to her, best to catch after class if quick help needed. Only terrifying for a little bit, softens up a few weeks into quarter. Reccomended highly.

Allthough attendence is not mandatory, you really should show up. That and lab is really important. She is awsome, I can't wait to have her again. Make sure to pay attention and to study for your test. Do that and pay attention and it should be an easy enough class.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Her lectures are very clear and easy to understand. It's not hard to get an A if you go to class. Also, she says not to use your notes during the tests, which you take at home, but everyone does. I would highly recommend her class!

Definitely should attend lecture everyday, you take a lot of notes. Lab is really pointless, but you need to attend. Tests are online and worth 50 points. Great class, but mainly review if you've taken a psych class before.

Course is challenging. However, show up for class, do req reading, and take notes, one can get a good grade. Radeke keeps what can be dry topics interesting. I have a few more psych classes to take and I am looking forward to taking some upper level psych classes she teaches.

Loved this class! It was so interesting. You need to go to class to pass the course. Makes a study guide for exams that covers everything. No surprises on exams. She seems tough in the beginning but that's just to establish respect. Got nearly 100% in the class, recommend it to everyone!

Dr. Radeke is a GREAT professor! She keeps class interesting by using personal stories but I felt like we never got off topic enough that the class was wasted. I learned so much from her even though I took a condensed summer course--which was also awesome because we got to choose our class structure! I would recommend this professor to everyone.

She is a really easy laidback prof. she makes things interesting for people and makes us laugh to stay interested. You dont do much in that class except listen to lecture. fridays when we have lab. they are pretty easy. If you have a question and email her she normally responds quick. Shes one of my favorite professors.

I am glad I have some more psychology courses to take for my major. Attend the lectures and one should not have any problem earning a decent grade. She may seem a but intimidating but once one talks to her one to one she is extremely nice.

I loved taking Psych with Dr. Radeke. I've now taken 3 introductory psych classes(2 in high school and one in college) and she was by far the best teacher I've ever had. She adds a lot of personal anecdotes to help everyone understand the lesson. She is very energetic and helps lecture not be so boring.

Made class interesting by adding a lot of personal stories! Grade calculation wasn't always clear though because you have to add the total points up yourself

As long as you study and keep up with the assignments, you should get a decent grade. Study groups help for the tests. Print out the lectures and bring them with you to take notes on as she goes a bit fast to write everything down. She was a fantastic teacher and I would love to take a class from her again in the future.

Great class. Radeke goes through her slides pretty fast which is a little frustrating at times but the power points are all on canvas so there shouldn't be a reason to not understand. There are 5 exams but she only puts the best 4 in the grade book which is cool. Read your book and you'll get an A. Show up to lecture to get clicker points.

Drops lowest test score so you don't have to take the final if you do good on the other tests. Essay questions can be tricky and lecture examples are same as the book are my issues

Best prof I've ever had in four years of college. She made me realize I wanted to major in psych. She's brilliant, hilarious, focused, and attentive all at the same time. Need help? She's there. I read her dissertation while taking her class. Never mentioned it to her. Wasn't bad. She likes language. Ask questions. She'll make you a better thinker.

Professor Radeke is a very tough professor. Attendance is mandatory as there are usually clicker questions to indicate who was there or not. Tests are taken online and are very difficult. Lowest test score and Lab score are dropped at the end of the quarter. Overall not a bad professor.

I loved this class! There are labs once a week with a mini quiz, but as long as you read the chapters assigned they are super easy. Her lectures are interesting and easy to understand, participation does matter towards your grade. I recommend taking her class!

Shes a really good teacher. Her explanations of the material are better then the book. She does require you to be there everyday and there are textbooks but shes a good teacher and if you pay attention it will be easy to pass.

Best professor I've had so far! She will try and find ways to tell a funny story about herself that relates to the topic we are discussing. All of her lectures are on canvas, so I never used the textbook because the lectures were easier to follow than reading the textbook. Super funny and I would love to take another class with her.

As long as you shop up youll pass this class. The exams are all online, I didnt ever take notes or open my textbook and I passed. Dr. Radeke wants you to pass her class, she wants people to come in to her office hours for help. Sometimes she gives extra credit if you show up to lectures.

Dr. Radeke was a very good professor, the first time i walked into class she seemed as if she would be mean but honestly her class was my favorite and actually made it fun to go to class.

I really enjoyed her class. The discussion and lab had the work load of about two classes but as long as you stay on top of it youll be fine. I was able to take her class in person for about 2/3 of the time but at the end it moved to online due to covid. Her online lecture was just as great. Very interactive!

I loved Mary. She actually cares about you and will do anything to make sure you are doing well in her class. I wish I could take all my classes with her. She answers emails quickly and is so understanding about your life out of her class. Also an amazing lecturer, she keeps your attention the whole class period and answers all questions!

I love Dr. R! This was the second class I took with her and she never disappoints. Loved that she answered emails quickly was clear in her requirements. The class was organized which was great because other profs are not. Really nice lady.

I really liked the lectures. A lot of stuff is discussed so don't miss a class. I was really disappointed by the lab. It's not really a lab. I was expecting to work on something like you normally do in labs but this was just another lecture with a graduate student.

Freshman here. Absolutely loved the lectures and the textbook (free). Regular office hours and is very responsive with emails. The labs seem to be busy work and not really labs the way I had expected. Great experience overall.

This class was PACKED! There were over 100 students. The lectures contain a lot of information so take good notes of the PowerPoints during each lecture. I recommend attending class every day as well because you miss out on some information that isn't in the textbook. Prof Radeke is clear in everything! Always ask questions during her office hours.

Really good lectures, and clear grading criteria. No retakes on exams but she drops your lowest score. Also, the exams are all online with no camera. The labs were my least favorite portion of the class but she dosen't teach them(it's a grad student).

Dr. Radeke is a great professor for Psych 101. Her lectures are interesting and even though attendance is not mandatory, she will occasionally give out extra credit or candy for attendance. I was worried to attend a class with over 100+ students but despite the size of the class, she makes the class feel like a small connected community.

Dr. Radeke's class is one of the most interesting classes I have taken and it's all because of her and how she teaches. She has a story for everything, she's clear and to the point, and she's funny! She doesn't ask you of much and has some really thoughts things to share.

Professor Radeke was a great introduction to the Psychology degree and the college experience in my case. There was 5 exams throughout the quarter but the last one was optional, to only improve your grade. Amazing and interesting lectures, you can tell she loves her job. Even with a big class size I still felt very included, involved, and enticed.
