Took this class on livecapture and she made it pretty easy. I liked her teaching style but she could be more organized when it comes to writing the information. It is taught with powerpoint. The best way to do well in this class is to do homework (what a surprise!!!)

The professor made the class very easy, I personally do not like to do homework but by attending the SI classes and going to class, I got an easy A. She is very clear and her test are just like her homework. So if you do the homework u don't even need to attend the SI classes. She also gives extra credit which helps a lot. Take her!!!

Smart lady, really knows her stuff. She can explain things well but you have to go to class to pass. There is a lot to know to pass but once you get the hang of it you can pass. She does give extra credit quizzes :) especially if it is online version.

Took the video lecture class, ALL CLASSES should be like this. You can review every lecture as many times as you need. Prof made the subject easier than I ever thought possible. SHE WANTS YOU TO GET AN A. DO the all the work she says and you will get the A, do not try to skate by. This subject does not allow for it.

I took the 6 week LCVS course this past summer with Professor Schindlbeck and I really enjoyed it. The material was fairly easy and she did a fantastic job of explaining everything and was extremely helpful. I'd definitely take another class with her.

I took the 6 week LCVS course with Prof. Schindlbeck and I absolutely loved it. She's very clear and does an amazing job explaining the material. She is also very accommodating to any questions you may have. Math has always been my strong point and I found this class to be extremely easy. Watch and rewatch the videos, and practice the problems.

There were only generic notes posted online. If I hadn't done the SI Tutoring, I probably would have failed the class. The exams and quizes are not worded the same way as the notes or so it makes the class that much harder. I am normally really good at math. I am sure it was hard bc it was online with no lecture from the teacher.

GREAT She's really nice, very helpful. She knows her stuff. I took this class online. SI Tutoring helped me a lot. Book is barely useful. Slides and exercises are really useful, but you must practice ALL exercises. I found this class easy but I practiced a lot. It's a cumulative class so study from the beginning. She explains all materials clearly.

Best QMB teacher at FAU. Online class gives you advantage to use all your notes, PP, and excel.Don't buy the book!! Watch the lectures and go to SI. She explains things in depth and very systematically. Shes makes the subject very interesting. Besides, if you are bored you can always fast forward. HW not mandatory. Up to 8 extra points per test.

For a difficult class, she made it seem easy. A little quirky, but explained things in a way students can understand. I learned so much in this class that I'll use later in life. I took this class online after not passing it in the previous semester. My other professor (whose name I shall not mention) was terrible. Although since it was my second time taking that class I might of had an edge. Great online notes, very helpful

Honestly this professor is who I point at when people ask how I thought QMB was a joke. She makes the class as easy as possible, I got an A on everything and didn't end up needing the EC. Only complaint is the tests are only 20 questions. Get one wrong and you already have a 95. Get 4 wrong and you have an 80. Just learn the material, it's easy.

take her for QMB.. she offers so much extra credit and she makes this class easy as long as you watch the lectures. the tests can be tricky, just read the questions carefully. 20 questions multiple choice.. easy A

If you want to get an A in QMB, this is the professor to take it with. Gives lots of XC quizzes and HW is not required. Just take detailed notes on each problem and you will be fine. If you use Excel for everything, the class is even easier! 20 questions per exam (40 on the final) and you have 90 mins to do each exam. Good luck!

She is an amazing professor!! teaches very well and explains everything. 3 test 20 questions first 2 test have 2 extra credit quiz last test has 1 quiz 1st 2 give you up to 8 extra pts on that test and last gives you up to 6 pts final exam is on a sunday night and is 40 questions

I took her lecture-capture course and I am not going to lie, this was my 2nd attempt! Her class is hard but its not the professor its the course! QMB is awful. It just is! You need to study and watch the lectures or go to class, its simple! You will not pass unless you study. She explains the material well, its just all around a tough course!

She is awesome!! I am still in the course but have done pretty well On the first test. She explains the material very well. She is hilarious and I love her personality. She goes above and beyond to provide extra learning opportunities and truly does care about her students success! Highly recommend her!!

If you have the chance to take her for QMB, do it! She was clear, concise, and maximized every bit of class time. Also, she was funny and nice. The way she lectured translated perfectly to the format of the test, pretty sure I'll get an A. I attended review sessions with students of other prof's and they seemed so lost. Would def take her again.

Professor Schindlbeck is a very knowledgeable professor. However, her lectures tend to be very fast paced. Which makes it hard to understand, but you can ask her to slow down. Which she will slow down if you ask her to. Do her problem of the week and practice packets you will do great in the class. Don't even need the book just print out her PPts.

DR Schindlbeck is amazing, the best instructor for QMB, you would be foolish not to take her. She is very detailed in her lectures and makes a hard class seem easy. She explains each topic excellently and makes it easy for you to grasp the concepts, very helpful with questions that you bring to her that you might not be grasping.

She makes everything seem so easy. The tests are easy, the quizzes are for extra credit, but do them anyways because they will really boost your grade. She is super nice and detailed in her lectures. But, do not waste money on the book. She and the TA's explain everything better than the book. I would definitely take her again.

If you are going to take this class with this professor take the lecture capture not the basic online, it offer nothing but optional homework and slides that you will not understand unless you take he lecture capture or go to class. Class is only difficult if you don't study & practice. Studied for the final 5 days in advance and got a B.

Dr. Schindlbeck is great. She is extremely talented with math, primarily statistics. Lecture capture course, I would watch the videos, take notes, print off everything she made available to help students. Re-watch. I got an A in the course. Allows notes on exams. I would recommend taking only if strong in algebra.

JUST GO TO CLASS! I had an awful time in Calc. but found this class to be way easier. Don't need textbook, she puts up tons of examples and weekly quizzes for extra credit that only add to your exam grade. LC is cool b/c you can watch lectures over and over. She does go fast but she is very thorough when going over assigned HW. TA's are great too.

Great professor. Don't need the book because she provides enough material to pass the class. Her exam are the same as the quiz. Quiz are counted as extra credit towards exam so do all the quizzes. She goes step by step and go over problem over and over. You must study to pass.

She's very nice and helpful! Not bad at all! Its 3 exams and 1 cumulative final all online and proctored! Extra credit is there! Just focus on the lectures and you can watch over and over at anytime! All types of notes allowed on exams so thats great and a formula sheet she gives.

I took the lecture capture version of this course. Honestly, don't waste your time going to class. You will learn more and the information is 100 times clearer at the free SI sessions. Went to every class with no SI and got a 60% on the first exam. Went to no classes and every SI session for 2nd exam and got a 90%. Plus is she let's you use Excel.

This was an online lecture capture so attendance was not mandatory, never went to class but watching the online lectures i believe is a must to understanding the material. YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR YOUR GRADE IN THIS CLASS! 3 exams make up 70% of your grade, and the final is 30%. Practice problems are A MUST to do well on exams. Make sure you take advantage of all the extra credit, which could boost you up from a B to a B+ for example. Take LC! She goes SUPER fast. Very straightfoward lady and super funny. Knows her stuff

All the quizzes are only for extra credit and you get three oppurtunities to take each quiz. This class isn't difficult but you need to be diligentl and spend time practicing the material. She was a great professor.

One of the better profs at FAU. She is such a sweet woman. She tends to talk a little too fast. She wants you to learn and pass. Put in the effort and it can be an easy A. There's so much extra credit that if you do it all you can afford to bomb an exam. I got a 75 on the first exam but still got an 98 in the class because I did all the extra credit and got A's on the rest of the exams. There is room to fail and correct yourself! Don't NOT do the extra credit! Owl tutoring is also very helpful but you have to pay.

Amazing professor, gives you everything you need to succeed in the class, no textbook necessary and gives extra credit quizzes. Watch the lectures and put in the practice and this class will be a breeze

I graded her high because QMB is a nightmare no matter who teaches it. But this professor makes this course look easy. Very thorough, detailed, takes her time with each questions. I took her course online and I'm glad I took it with her. My advice, make sure you practice with the review she posts online before each test.

GO TO CLASS AND PRINT EVERYTHING SHE GIVES YOU. Open book tests, quizzes:extra credit. Write everything down! Class is not easy but she makes you THINK & work hard for your grade. Take advantage of EVERYTHING she gives you. I passed with a 97% & I was taking 5 other classes, dont get scared, but dont be lazy either. Dont buy/rent the book!

Don't buy the book. Print out EVERY POWERPOINT SLIDE AND HOMEWORK PACKETS. Print everything because you can use it ALL on the tests! QMB is a hard class and this professor does what she can to try and make it easy for the students. She is very smart and has a history in what she teaches. She gives one quiz every week that is purely extra credit, so it is hard to fail the class. She cares about her students and is aware she teaches a tough class. Gives a ton of practice problems

I took her 6 week video lecture summer class. If you seem to struggle in math take the full length term instead of the fast track class. 3 tests 1 final, plus 5 extra credit quiz. No need to buy the book, she gives you enough material to help you learn. Take the self tests to find out which sections you dont understand and practice that.

The class has A LOT of materials so don't fall behind or you won't pass. First exam is usually the hardest as everyone usually does terrible on it, so visit a TA and go to SI if you need help. Do all the quizzes as it's free points! 3 exams and one cummulitive final exam. Also take lots of good notes as all the exams are open note.

Not a tough class and I'm a slacker. She gives so many examples- they are very similar to what she tests on. Used examples of every concept that she did during the lectures so the exams were CAKE. I just used my cheatsheets and swapped the numbers around. Binge-watched the lectures the day before the test and got a 96 in the class

QMB was actually better than expected. She gives lots of examples, Pay attention take notes that you can use on the exam it will help a lot. Gives extra credit but they are based of quizzes on the topic.

BUT she does do it more than once to make sure you understand, and she's very very nice when you ask questions. She's really nice and a good professor. Best professor I've ever had for a class that's supposed to be very challenging. Very explanatory and will answer any questions. Gives you more than enough notes and assignments (that are not mandatory) to get you ready for the exams.

Professor Schindlbeck is the best professor I could ask for, especially for this subject. The amount of resources Prof Schindlbeck provides to make sure we students succeed is more than I could ever ask for. As long as you try in the course, watch the lectures and do the problems she tells you to do, no reason to not get an A or B.

AMAZING PROF. She is 100% the reason I passed this class on the first try. QMB is a hard course and having a good teacher really makes all the difference. She tries to stay away from the textbook and huge formulas and instead teaches by giving examples and dumbs it down for everyone. No question is stupid with her and I couldnt ask for more.

Took the class online and it was not hard at all. The lectures are useful but I found the SI sessions to be more important to passing. Material is easy. DO THE QUIZZES, they are half a letter grade alone and they are not hard. Nice teacher. 5 quizzes and 4 exams... thats it and the quizzes dont count against you just extra credit! DO THEM.

I took the LCVS in Fall of 2018 and The class was great overall, most of the grades were weighted on the exam, the other quizzes and assignments could help slightly in terms of grading, but they just help reinforce the lectures which were really good. She is really funny in her lectures and the study material is somewhat similar to the exam

LOVED this course! The exams weigh the most, but she gives plenty of material to help succeed - problem sets, examples, youtube videos, self tests, and quizzes. She made a difficult class super easy and entertaining. I recommend going to the actual class rather than watch LC, she LOVES questions and interactions. 10/10 recommend.

If you watch each lecture and study the many examples she does in the videos youll be set. Every example Dr. Schindlbeck does in her lectures are very similar to exam material. I took the lecture capture class which was great because you can watch lectures at your own pace. QMB was not an easy class for me, but I am glad I had her as my professor. Took six-week accelerated lecture capture over summer. Textbook not needed but in order to really grasp the material you have to work along with her during lectures, meaning you will need to print a lot of stuff throughout. While the class was very quick, she was great. Very accessible and wants students to succeed. Open note exams!

Professor Schindlbeck is a great professor. There were a lot of homework and quizzes due every week with the 6 weeks class. She is an amazing teacher though. Her lectures are very clear and if you follow her instructions you can do good in her class. Tests are clearly from what she taught in the class.

This class has been really difficult for me, but she is defiantly the best choice for QMB3600. Class is extremely test heavy so be ready to pull your hair out. Use the cram tutoring resources they make the class much easier. Be ready to pay up for those resources. Her lectures are ok but you have to watch them and force yourself to comprehend.

I really liked Dr. Schindlbeck, she is very knowledgeable and explains the material in a clear and direct way. Tests are the bulk of your grade but if you watch the lectures and do the assignments you should be good. I would take her again in a heart beat.

everyone was saying that this class would be very hard but she made it very easy especially her teaching methods and she goes over the question step by step. she has a TA that does tutoring-> Marcela has been so helpful and answers all our questions! i definitely recommend her as your teacher and going to the sessions!!

Professor Schindlbecks explanation and step-by-step examples helped me grasp the material with ease. Her upbeat lectures were full of charisma and made it entertaining to watch. I found myself laughing at silly mentions of students not answering back in an empty classroom. It made me become more engaged and better able to absorb the material.

I took this during the summer 6 week course(ONLINE). If it wasn't for NEIL and MARCELA, I would've struggled. Take advantage of free tutoring! 6 quizzes (one optional), 8 self test(one optional), 3 test, 1 OPTIONAL final(replaces lowest grade). Quizzes and self tests aren't proctored. Tests and Final are proctored through Honorlock. Heavy learning.

Fully online course. Tests are proctored and quizzes for each module. She's a great teacher, but be prepared to put in the work for the class. She's super accessible outside of class which is great. 100% rec and would take again.

I thought that Professor Schindlbeck and her TA's were amazing. I am not certain if there was a book for this class; I just watched the lectures and she is very clear and witty. The only con to her class is that there are 3 exams (plus final optional) and that is 75% of your grade. I would definitely take her again.

one of the best professors i've taken. assignments include self tests (unlimited attempts), quizzes (2 attempts), and exams (proctored, open notes/excel). lectures were worth watching as she stays on topic (and throws in a joke occasionally) and explains everything thoroughly. also gives other optional material to study. just don't procrastinate

If you are not good at math I would highly recommend you take Professor Schindlbeck. She gives you lots of opportunities to pass the class. However, you will have to study! the best way to study is to do the self test & quizzes. She allow's you to use notes on the exams so if you fail its on you. Her lectures are long but super helpful.

This professor is awesome, but the material for the class is REALLY difficult. If you do not study for at least 1-2 hours every few days you will not pass. I had to study a ton for this class, but it was worth it in the end.

This is a very difficult course, with hard-to-grasp material. This professor was very clear with instructions and lecture material. Pay attention and study HARD. As long as you work hard, your grade will reflect that. What do you expect from an upper-division mathematics course?

Prof. Schindlbeck was great! Her lectures & notes were easy to follow and her dry sense of humor made it amusing. There is a LOT of non-graded homework she suggests, but it helps a lot with tests. Consistency is a must, don't skip assignments. She doesn't extend due dates or curves, but the grading criteria is clear. Do the work and you'll be fine.

although this course was easy, it was require a decent amount of time to ensure you know how to do certain things (not something you can jump into an exam blind). however exams are opened notes which helps A LOT. just as long as you're willing to put time into learning, i feel its a very smooth class to take.

As long as youre not lazy and are somewhat intelligent, ur good She gives you more than enough for what you need and exams are all open book and notes. Her lectures were good. She drops the lowest grade for all assignment types. Only bad thing is TAs are unnecessarily rude, like it makes you wonder what happened to them as a kid level of rude.

Took 6-week QMB3600 online with her. Just put in the time. It's a somewhat challenging class. Many times I felt like ripping my hair out, but as I stuck with it a little more, I had many “ah-ha!” moments. Once you understand the material, it's pretty smooth sailing.
