Excellent teacher!!! She is very caring and wants you to learn the material. You can tell that she loves to teach english. She learns your name and the comments she puts on your papers are very polite and helpful. She even remembered my name when i bumped into her two years later.

I would have to say that she is one of the best english teachers that I ever had. Very clear in everything that she says and very easy to talk to. Her in class essays can be harder than the take home essays but it's the take home essays tht count the most. She very linient too. GOOD TEACHER!!!

Reminds me of a kindergarten teacher, she kinda like talks to us like were 2 years old. But it's an easy class shes lineant two essays graded hard but everythjing else evens out one final project that is HUGE doo it well and you'll be fine

Professor Shannon is one of the greatest, kindest professors that I've had so far. She truly cares about your progress and pushes you to strive for success. Her cute stories are lovely to listen to, and always has your back when can't think of anything to say. I admire her deeply.

Very easy course. She is a bit like a kindergarten teacher though (even makes you call her Mrs. Shannon) and requires attendance. However, very easy going and easy to talk to. Truly cares about her students.

Very nice teacher. She grades fairly, and there aren't many surprises in the class (except for a few pop quizzes based off of the textbook). If you're not the best writer, then utilize her office hours, she will do her best to help you. There is a lot of work at first, and at the end, the team project takes lots of attention.

She is a great professor. We had 2 short essays, 1 research report, 2 very easy midterms, and a final group project. We worked in the same group the whole semester. She is a very easy grader. I learned a lot about business in this class. The class might have a lot of work, but it is all very easy, and the final group project was fun!

TOP 5 best teachers of all time. really take advantage of the presentation and let your imagination run wild. Do all the work and you will get an A-/B+ but "As" are'nt that easy to get in her class since it takes a 94%.

Going to class is mandatory & it is boring most of the time. Participation, discussions, & reading the books are a must; 3 essays with progressions, 1 in class essay, group presentation, & reflective essay. She is extremely helpful, but grades differently than she says. Easy A with little to no effort at all, but it is very tedious.

She's awesome! We went over the book a little every class, had midterm and final where she gave us the questions she chose from. The biggest part was the group project, but the writing assignments can add up. Follow the text and you should be fine, but if you're not she's ALWAYS there to help.

I had professor Shannon for Queer Studies, and she is so amazing ! Right off the bat, she introduces herself, and is actually interested in getting to know you as well. Ah, Professor Shannon will be my favorite professor of all time. One big group project (pick your group wisely), two midterms, and other small assignments. She might seem tough at first but is so nice, and an easy grader. Definitely should take it if you are planning on taking a Business 205 class.

Prof Shannon is one of the best when it comes to bus writing. I finally learned how to write for bus setting. Textbook is cheap. She helps a lot during her office hours, grades very fairly (not that hard). Pls be careful who you choose for your group; don't go by sight, go by brain and based on who is responsible. Many assignments, but manageable.

Best teacher i have had. Learned a lot in her class. She was never boring and was always very nice! Sometimes she is very flexible about assignments and she really cares for her students.

She is one of the nicest profs I've had. It did annoy us students that she rambles a lot about her family's non profit, sometimes up to 5 minutes a class. She also has messy handwriting for feedback, which sucks. She also does not submit grades until end of semester, so I didn't know what I had in the class. Final is a 30 min group presentation.

I have handed in a few assignments that I certainly got a better grad than I deserved, just because she liked me. Great professor, very caring and helps you with any question you have. Clear grading, she work for you not against you, so if you put your time in the assignments, you will get the grade. There's a group project, but everything else is individual work.

Professor Shannon was great. Her grading methods are very clearly laid out from the beginning. Mostly individual work with one group project. Shes very picky about grading so make sure you follow all the guidelines she has. She gives very good feedback on all assignments so you can improve your writing. Id definitely recommend taking her.

If you need to take ENGL 205, hurry up and sign up for her class, as her class will fill up fast. The overall course work included five canvas discussions, five news reports, eight straightforward quizzes, two writing assignments, one group project, and one research report. Although the workload sounds hefty, it's all simple work.

I LOVED THIS CLASS! Professor Shannon is such a gem and one of the sweetest professors I have had in my entire college career. I'm so sad she is retiring after the spring semester, if you have a chance to take her class I would! She made my first semester at CSUN a great experience!
