All you have to do is memorize the notes.....easy enough
OH MY GOD this woman takes everything from the notes, but still manages to make the class hard. She wants all of your answers to be EXACTLY like hers, and if you have one word out of place, your answer is wrong. Take another teacher if you can!

Not easy at all...I studied like crazy for this class, and I guess she counts the final more than anything else because she gave me a good grade. Wouldn't recommend her, but if you absolutely must take her, just study A LOT and you'll be ok.
Very hard teacher. She counts the final more than anything, but that's alright because it worked in everyones favor. Will make you read the book about the philosophy of the human person and it will leave you clueless. Stresses Steve Hawkings alot. BBT
Makes you work hard. A true college professor in every sense. Expects superior work for a high grade. Excellent for students who are looking for a challange.

Shes a sweet old lady but is an extremely strict grader! The material isn't hard per say, its her strictness in grading that makes the course difficult. At the same time she has no clear lecture plan and just says what on the top of her head. Don't take!

Avoid!!! Very unhelpful, has a very confusing grading system. She will find any which way to take points of your test grades. Dictator not an educator. I can't believe the university hasn't done anything about her. She needs to move on.

i dropped the class with like 10 classes to go MWF because she is sooo hard

i would give her 0 in everything. Many have complained about her nothing,is done everyone is covering up for her. In other words regardless of how much you think that something can be done if your unhappy with her. YOUR WRONG! she's a NUT in a shall!
She tells you what she wants and is clear about it. The problem with that is that you need to repeat what she says verbatim. If not, you fail. End of story. No chance to reason with her. I took a w/d rather than an F. Old and somewhat cantankerous. Avoid.
Shes not that bad...gives 2 tests (midterm and final) midterm is harder than the final cause the final is all multiple choice....shes a bit picky but shes not as bad as everyone under me has said..i'd take her again...and gives extra credits!!

i did well on all her ridiculously hard tests and she gave me a C+. If you take her, prepare to study for days and hours and still do poorly in class.

Like said before, you must repeat VERBATIM what she says or you are wrong. However, that could be a plus because you know what to do. No offense, but I do not recommend taking any people of cloth @ SJU as they have strong beliefs in every situation.

I consider myself a good student and usually can tolerate a bad prof, but Stanislaus is by far the worst. Avoid at all costs. I like the course material, and this is still the worst class I have every been in. Whether or not you understand the material has nothing to do with how she grades.
Philosophy is a subject that is supposed to be open for discussion and debate. Right? Well this class was really set up as a memorization course. Basically, a student has to answer every question on a test in her exact words or that student gets it wrong. Sadly, I really didn't learn anything.
I had her for spring of 04, shes a nun so my mouth will be as filtered as possible SHE Su-cks, she should retire, never answered a question of mine, se gave test scores such as 3/4 WTF IS THAT u have to record her in order to take her tests WHO GIVES A FLYING F U-ck ABOUT TAskeege! its HELL GET OUT!
She is not a difficult teacher if you listen to what she teaches. Her tests are simple if you can repeat what she had said. She gives a lot of extra credit and gives plus ones that add a point to your final avg. for answering easy questions. She is not as bad as everyone makes her out to be.
If you have to take this class, I immediately suggest pass/failing. She is tired and boring,she really really needs to retire. Was always late to class, her grading policy makes no sense, if you want a passing grade u must repeat word for word what she says on your exams or else be prepared to fai
Dont take this class if you dont have to. She's very strict and isnt too clear on what she wants or how she wants the exams to be answered. She gives a quiz every other week. She takes off points if you anwser quiz questions with extra information.

the first day of class i could tell my grade was gona bew a C or lower. She is very boring and hard to understand. Plesae drop this class.
Horrible teacher. Starts the class with a christian prayer even though they are people with different faiths present in the class. Wants answers to questions exactly how she states it even though she clearly states in your own words. No clear objective to the class, just talks about current events that have nothing to do with the class.

Seriously if you plan on doing well in college and not wasting your money DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Worst professor! Hardest grader ever, if you don’t recite every word she states you are automatically wrong. Her tests are so hard and her grading is terrible.
Horrible class, professor is a horrible grader, taking this class guarantees you a C or D. The tests must be exactly what she says in class or you get points off. nothing can be rephrased or put in your own words & even homework is an unusually difficult task. i thought she wouldnt be that bad at first, but i was clearly wrong. 1100 is just as bad.
She is hard that's true, but I wouldn't say that she is evil like others said. The thing is that you have to learn her style. Once you got that, you'll do ok. But if you don't want to work, don't take her. But I made it, I got an A-. Just study, take notes and make sure you understand the material, because philosophy is not easy not matter what.

This class was horrible. You cannot put anything in your own words, and she butchers everything you do. I usually don't go by these ratings, but listen to everyone else and don't waste money on this professor.
Horrible!! Her teaching style wasn't good. She graded the homeworks which were impossible!!! Don't take her.

She's definitely not easy. Her midterm is fillins and requires near hardcore memorization. Her final is multiple choice but is actually a bit harder. Getting a 90 on both test is considered pretty good, but that'll only get you an A-. So to get that A you need to participate a lot and get those extra credit points.
dont take a class with her. she deosnt explain anything and she is tough on grading. she is regulary late and rude. just a terrible teacher. she makes the class even harder with her tests. you have to study hard and memorize alot of stuff to pass. is a nun and she talks down on everyone and complains daily about "the sorry state of the world"

comes off at first like a very mean teacher, but warms up after a while. just be nice to her and she'll be nice to you. sit up front and she'll call on you which earns you extra credit points on tests. takes off partial points, but also takes off points for grammar. memorize everything because answers must be in her exact words for full credit.
This class was harder than it really should have been. She is mean at first but nice later. There are opportunities to earn extra credit. If you seek help, she is more than willing to help. The other comments about her are true though.
