true colours is ****. I didnt pay 200 or something dollars to cut and paste, colour things or make little puzzles. The class didnt have an exam but was still kinda lame

Very knowledgeable and explores creative thinking and encourages class particiaption. Fairly good marker, open book final exam and lots of "not very difficult" assignments. Brief material, easy to understand. Overall a good teacher, she can teach well andmark fairly.

excellent teacher in thee class but in the tests oh dont worry to get more than 50% of the mark in the assignments she is quite easy ..u can still get full mark in the assignemnt so yeah do in hte tests badley but dont forget to do your best in the assignemnts! fun activitey in the class too.

She is a good teacher, knows her stuff. Has ability to go off and talk about stuff which is not reallly relative to the topic but overall an easy marker and eventually gets her point across. caution!giggles alot.

Mary was extremely helpful throughout my psychology class. She made the class fun and respected all of us in the class. Her lectures were clear and she posted notes on the website to make it easy for us to understand.

WOW I read all the comments and the people who give Mary a poor rating is just a hater. I can't see what their is to give Mary a bad rating. She is one of the nicest person you can find in Seneca. She is an easy marker, her assignments are not herd, its common sense. She give you extension if you need it. She is EXCELLENT. TEAM MARY!!

She's the best teacher! Lot of fun and very useful. Never late for class and all assignments/homework are clearly explained on Blackboard. She understand we have lot to do in other classes so she organized the course in a way we don't need to stress too much 'cause we know what to expect from her class +exams right at the beginning of the semester.

Great prof, sparked my interest in psychology. Probably gonna transfer and major in that instead. Didn't even have to study at all, total time with my book was about 2hours in the entire semester.

Mary Trant is a really nice soft spoken professor. I really enjoyed her course. The course textbooks aren't really textbook. They are just two paperback books which you can order from Amazon for cheaper than buying it from the bookstore@school. A lot of the stuff is submitted online and on a weekly basis so you must keep up with that.

She is very nice teacher, always smiling, and positive. Fair marker, overall positive lady. I am currently in her Psychology of Happiness class, and I like this class.

Mary is such a great professor! She well knows her stuff and her lecture is always fun and practical! She teaches what is useful in your life. I was attending the morning class and even thought I am so weak at the morning I did not sleep that much. Strongly recommend to take her course if you have a chance!

Mary is one of the nicest professors I've ever had. She always has a smile on her face and you can tell she is passionate about what she teaches. I found her to be a generous marker. She is also very clear about what she expects you to know for assignments/tests so there is no excuse to do poorly in her class.

Such an nice prof. Allows you so many chances to get good marks all tests online. But lectures are interesting and interacting. Just hand in your work and u will get the marks. Gives out candy and chocolate. Best part open book exam unlimited notes can bring anything as long as its on paper. One of the best !

Very nice and understanding professor. I love her lectures. There is no way of failing my course if you finish weekly homework. She is a real lecturer I have seen after many years who gives real lectures to students.

I took a creativity class and was very good, there were a lot of assignments, but are not that difficult, and you learn a lot and she gives good feedback, if you really want to learn is a great course.

Very warm-hearted teacher, but you need to read a lot of learning materials to complete the homework. Once I did not understand the purpose of the exam and got a very low score. ... you will not feel pressure to attend her class. Its just that if you dont understand something, you must ask her to avoid mistakes.

Mary gets marks back to you in a timely manner. All material and lectures are very clear, assignments are interesting and fun to do. I learned a lot from her course! You have to do the discussion boards for marks. I only don't like how she starts your mark at 0% and it slowly goes up

I do not attend lectures too often in her class but I make sure to read her provided materials every week. She gives you enough time to finish the assignment. She gives feedbacks every week. This is about creativity so expect to do things that will take time to finish. Don't go cramming on this course.

Take PSY214 if you believe creativity is important. *Avoid* it if you just want EASY GPA. Mary is a good professor and course is well-planned. Informative course material; every second spent is worth it. Ask questions in class or via email if unsure about assignments. *Read BEFORE you do* Do NOT copy/follow other works. Do NOT use ChatGPT

It was an good course overall and it wasn't too difficult. I don't understand what everyone else here meant by "a lot of homework". You literally only got a single assignment every week and it takes maybe half a hour to do. The readings and the lectures don't even take that long either.

It's a compressed course which was great. Easy course. The journals and most of the tests/assignments were more opinion based over knowledge of the material. Her feedback was good too. Sometimes even doing bare minimum on graded content, I passed 100% on it, even accepted late submissions. No lockdown browser, also allow materials but not recommend

Took PSY 282 and it was the best class, always willing to help and to provide feedback.

Fun course. Her assignments don't require a huge amount of time and are really interesting. She gave detailed feedback as well. I took the online compressed course last year, so it seemed like there was a lot of material to go through, but in general the material really wasn't that difficult. Her little activities in the synchronous live was cute.

If you already have intensive courses do not take this course. The materials are interesting and she's really passionate about what she teaches, but she expects way too much dedicated time to this course. She expects you to to read atleast 10 articles and watch ATLEAST 7 videos per week + "weekly work" that has to be done in 3-4 days. So Caution.

Be prepared to engage in the lecture/class discussion. It may be best that you have or have had a pet if you are taking this class due to the applied thinking toward the pet's behaviour. I had fun with this class because I have a pet and applied anything I could take away from class to my relationship with my pet. Thanks for having her Seneca!

Yes, attendence in mandatory if you want to do well, but what do you expect people? You are paying to go to school and learn content so going to class should not be a problem. Mary is one of the sweetest professors/people I have ever met. She is so caring and passionate about what she teaches. I would definitely take her class again!

Not too sure why so many people are negative towards her. Yes, there is a lot of reading material, but most of it is like 2 paragraph articles or a 3-5 minute youtube video. She is very easy going and not a tough grader at all. As long as you have a brain in your head and common sense you should pass this class with a good grade.

Mary has been my favourite prof of all time at Seneca. She actually cares about her students and if you do the simple readings and attend class, there's no reason you won't get a great mark. If I can in the future, I'd love to take her class again.
