the class is an absolute joke!!! it is a 10 classes b/c its a night class and out of the 10 classes...i attended only 3 classes (the first night, midterm, & final). she is cool as hell and a must have to boost your GPA!!

She wants to be your friend..not your teacher. I find her completely discouraging. She didn't explain how to do the tool summary well, so we all got bad grades and so she just dropped the grade. Some of the class was relieved, but others wanted to fix what their mistakes. She said don't bother. She says said that there ARE dumb questions.

loves her students. treats you like a friend, class was fun to come to every week. crucial to get a good group for the project. a lot of people did bad on one of the papers, so she didn't count it unless you wanted it to count. great, cool, chill prof.

Absolutely loved it. It was not hard, yet I still learned some important information. Yes she uses some of Zafar's information, but it is good info. She is easy, laid back, informative and is easy to get a hold of. Emails back and can call in the middle of the night. A few easy assignments-follow the slides, take home final, group project-easy

Very cool professor. Extremely helpful and is there to help the students. She does not try to be a hot shot and try to confuse the students with extensive vocabulary. Instead, she explains things in a clear and understandable manner. Definitely recommended!

VERMILLION, I LOVE YOU! On a more serious note, she is an excellent prof. She makes Marketing unbelievably interesting. If you put effort into the class, you'll be fine. You will learn a lot. She has a great personality and tells stories that make Marketing relatable and fun!!!

Very fun....very interestesting class..The only complaint I have is that she tells you she'll give you all the answers to the test..but that doesn't exactly happen. You still MUST study..if you rely on the 25 simple things she gives you..you'll do average on the test..

A wonderful, down-to-earth professor with alot of experience that she loves to share with her students. You won't really need the book, study your notes, pay attention in class and you'll do fine. Take 315 with her too!!

Some people said that she uses Zafar's notes and that she is lazy, but shes not. She teaches well.

She is such a good teacher my only regret was taking the 8:30am class b/c I would always be late or didnt show up but still got a B+! She does put her own work expierence into her lectures and can carry on a conversation for a long period of time. Workload is 3 tests and one major project with presentation. Overall not bad at all! TAKE HER! :D

She says everything twice if its on the test. They are not amazingly easy, but pretty easy. The grading scale is tough with a 95 being an A, but its attainable. Do a good job on the project and dont slack and you'll do good. She even checks every step of it if you ask her. Fun class and interesting stuff.

She is a knowledgeable professor. Take this teacher if you want to hear real life stories... but be careful who you choose for your group! It makes up most of your grade.

3 tests and one major project, sounds simpler than it is because she says shell repeat the answers to the test twice during lectures, but it seems like she only announced 15 of the 25 test questions.

Easy. nice. Clear in explanation. Skips a lot of things to do. Does not like to keep things boring, and that makes this class soo much fun.

This teacher just keeps getting better. I have had her for three classes and she really listens to student feedback. She is very laid back but don't let it fool you - she is SMART! SHe wants students to learn and she has a passion for marketing and life in general. SHe gives students the real story about jobs and real world.

Awsome lady, a must take. Didnt waste too much time lecturing, majority was work in groups on project. 3 tests, she gives helpful hints for whats on them, mildly challenging. book is useless unless youre a MKT major. Great personal and real life stories!

I would highly recommend this teacher.. only 3 tests and she gives the study guide. I just studied from the study guide and got As in all my test.. She is available for help after class as well.. Very fun and wants her students to do well in class..

I took her for two classes, as long as you do the work you will get an A, she tells you exactly what is on the test so there is no surprises, makes the class fun and uses her and real life examples, does not make you stay the entire class as long as she covers what's scheduled for that day...Love Her!

She isnt bad, but she doesnt tell you everything thats going to be on the test like she says she will. Also, she is lazy.. she doesnt create her own tests or powerpoint slides, she uses everything that the author made from the teachers edition book. Her tests get harder as the course goes on. 3 Tests and one huge project, not too bad.

Great easy going teacher...always willing to help her students. 3 test and one big final project (a lot of work but it's fun). She repeats everything that will be on the test twice, so even though attendance is not mandatory make sure you come to class. Makes the class pretty interesting, definately recommended!!

Professor Vermillion's class is very TO THE POINT. Just so everyone knows, she is the easy teacher to take for mkt 315. Plus... her final is take-home. No midterm.

She is the best teacher ever. You don't need the book. Grade is: midterm, final, and paper. Make sure you pay attention in class it pays off in the end. Highly recommended.

Dr V is a great teacher. I took her for 310 and 301 and I loved her. ALWAYS lets you out early for night class (highly recommended). Grade consists of a midterm, final, and paper. She literally tells you whats on the exams so make sure to go to class. Paper was a breeze, started it the night before it was due and got 100%. DEF TAKE DR V!!!!!!

Awesome professor! She tells you everything that will be on the midterm and final. The paper was very easy, and I think everyone that turned it in on time got 100%. I took the night class and we were out very early every night. Take her!!!

Take her!! She is a good prof fun to listen to her lectures will get real life perspective on marketing an business world. Couple of exams and assignments and a group project should be able to handle the workload otherwise your are not even trying!!

Take Her. Simple as that. You never stay the full time in class, she tells you the exact information that will be on the two tests, and she barely reads your final paper and gives everyone 150/150 A+ as long as the paper is written in english. You WILL learn too. She is a must-take and worth waiting for.

I've taken her for both my marketing classes. very nice lady, very helpful. grading is fairly easy as long as you put in even a little bit of work. does tend to digress during lectures, but it never bothered me. take her for night class if you can - she won't ever keep for you for the full 3 hours.

Exams are not extremely easy but not difficult if you pay attention and write down everything she says that will be on it. Final paper very easy no research involved just about you basically. Very nice, helpful, would take again.

Dr V is an excellent teacher. She uses real world examples and wants all of her students to do well. She met our group after class several times to help. She does have group projects - which I HATE- but she always gives class time to work on project. Most students just leave - big mistake!

In order to do well, you must attend her class or have a great friend with great notes. Tests are easy if you go to class. Great Review and she is VERY to the point about what you'll be tested on. She's wonderful and I would highly recommend her.

Mary gives an insane amount of work.. I had her for mkt 301 and she was an easy A.. She is completely different for MKT 310. It all of the class got c's and low B's. A is impossible.. ( as she says: A's are for those who work in the field) WTF is that????

Dr. V! I really like her a lot. Has a lot of real world experience and talks a lot about it. Pointedly highlights everything on exams during class. Great personality. End group project felt vague, but we got a good grade. I felt cared for as an individual. First day of class she'd already memorized everyone's names and literally named all 30 of us.

Fair teacher. Expects you to do more than just regurgitate material - critical thinking and reading text a must. Not an easy A.

What class were you people in saying it was hard? She gave everything on exams in class. She met with my group on a saturday afternoon. Exams graded and posted within two hours after class. Projects graded and final grades posted before end of session - that is NOT lazy!! She is best prof I have had as far as willingness to work or help students!

I got cheated! I was in 301 and three of my classes weren't cancelled...We did have group work days where most people blew off class. Of course coming to group days helped m,e get an A. Dr V rocks!

AWESOME professor! She lets students leave like 45 minutes early, and there is no "class" on the first day; she just hands out the syllabus and off you go! She is hilarious. She always talks about her nieces and nephews...hope she was my aunt.

Really interesting teacher. Makes content relatable with her vast real world experience. She made no effort to learn students names and seemed to prefer boy students over girls. When I asked her for one on one help she was sort of rude. Her tests are easy and assignments are interesting

This teacher seems cool and out going. She is, but be prepared for the Midterm and Final. The question are very wordy. Make sure you read every word. Over all if u just want to pass this class take it with her. If u want an A+ then take it with someone else. DO NOT BUY BOOK!!!

EXTREMELY easy A. She literally repeats what will be on the midterm or final by saying it twice. Classes often ended early, I didn't mind. I feel that I actually came out of this class more mindful of advertising and more literate in media. She clearly knows what she's talking about and will tell you what is actually used in the professional world.

She is such a nice and funny teacher. She gives you the answers to the mid term and final tests in class. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you go you'll get the answers. She ends class early everyday and she is always open to meeting with her students. highly recommend her.

The class itself is very challenging (online videos and final project) but she tries to help even though she is not suppose to. Take her for 202 over anyone else. She wants everyone to succeed and is a very kind lady.

Highly recommend for 202. You learn on your own time but she helps you if you don't understand. I took her night class and we only turned our assignments in every Wednesday then left. She will stay and explain for those that need more guidance, but she assumes you understand. No lectures.

Easy A for marketing. 2 papers, 1 group project, and 3 exams. she's a little quirky, but nice and interesting.

Overall, the class is easy. It's a case filled class so get ready to participate, otherwise she'll knock off points. There is also a lot of reading involved, however, there is no actual midterm and final. Only papers to do which aren't hard and a group presentation.

Tells you what is on the exams. So prepping is a lot easier. She wants writing to be short and concise. Grade is based on 4 factors. 2 exams(MC) , 1 essay about your strengths and weakness and the final marketing plan at 45% of course grade. Does not grade too hard on the final. Easy to reach out to and very nice. Get a good group for the final.

She truly cares about her students doing well and tells you exactly whats on the exam and what to write on your projects in order to get an A. You rarely ever stay over an hour in her night class, but you spend a decent amount of time meeting with your group to work on projects outside of class. She is funny and an over all great person!

So long as you participate in class, she'll have no problem with you. Make sure you observe deadlines. She is a fantastic person to talk to and is very responsive over email and phone (she provides her cell #). This class is a culmination of all the standard business core except for maybe accounting, those projects are going to hit hard.

Dr. V is awesome! Class attendance is optional but she repeats things during her lectures that will be on the exams; she also posts key terms on D2L prior to the tests so you're superrrr prepared for them - which only happen twice throughout the course and are all multiple choice. Class usually gets out early too :)

This is very much like a hybrid class rather than just a lecture. It was a half credit course but didn't really feel like one because I probably put more work into this class than majority of my 4 credit classes. Her midterm and final were difficult (multiple choice) but the assignments and projects were very easy and she let you correct it

Solid professor but this class is repetitive & boring. You pay a ton of money to get cases from 2004 & do hw on them every week and there is one presentation every week from a group of two. You have to write two ten page papers for class and then another 10 page paper for your final. Easy class but you HAVE to show up EVERY class or you won't pass.

Dr. V is honestly one of my favorite profs. She gave our groups the chance to submit our projects early for feedback before she actually grades them and it helped so much. She is very specific on what she wants, but it's not hard to follow her guidelines. Going to class definitely helps on understanding the material. Take her!!

idk why anyone would rate her less than a 5! She's been awesome through the entire online class. She gives CLEAR grading criteria, tells you exactly what u should do & study. Exams are exactly what she tells u to study & she grades so fairly. She goes out of her way to reach out to u to make sure you're doing okay, & responds to emails immediately!

Dr. V is really not as bad as other reviews might lead you to believe. Came into the class knowing almost nothing about Excel, and I thought the lectures did a good job of teaching the material and functions. My main gripe is the amount of homework. There's quite a lot for a 2 credit class. Definitely a useful class though, especially for marketers

QUEEN!!!!! she literally just wants you to do well. MUST use book, she posts lecture videos of her doing the homework to help you. 2 exams only 10% each of your grade must study for. if you do all the project assignments correctly you do NOT have to take the final and she lets you re-do them if you mess up. go to class for her help on ANYTHING

This class was one of the more useful classes I've taken. She teaches you how to use all the excel functions. The majority of the grade is homework and the project you work on over the quarter. The homework is time consuming, but easy. The videos she posts of her lecturing are so helpful!! The textbook is a must have but the chapters are short.

This class was very helpful in learning excel. Professor V is very easily accessible outside of class; dont be afraid to text her whenever you need help! Took as a winter intercession class. Was a lot of work to do in 2 weeks but glad I did it this way. Textbook required. Be ready to do a lot of busy work. Must study for both exams. Great overall!

I took this class online and I feel like I learned SO MUCH more than many of my other classes. This was my first online class and she made it extremely easy to navigate through. There is A LOT of work to be done but you learn a lot and as long as you get it done and try you should be off with a solid A.

Get on her good side, you're safe. She TRULY means well, WANTS you to succeed just can be sort of crazy/ all over the place. Trust me the class gets easier and she starts getting more laid back. Work with your group for HW to split it up and have her check your final project before turn in and you're good. Show up or you'll be lost, ask questions.

Took her for all of my Marketing courses. She's super chill, understanding, and explains literally step by step what you should do on every assignment to get an A. Super straight forwards, down to earth, recommend for all your Marketing courses.

I've taken MKT 202 & 315 with Mary. Yes, she is quirky and a little frazzled, but she is a great professor who wants you to understand the material and to succeed. 202 is a lot of busy work for 2 credits, but thats not her fault. 315 is a lot of work, but great material to learn for marketing. Pick a good group for 315 to do well in the class.

Very easy class. The projects and homework were straightforward and easy to do. She doesn't give back a lot of feedback, but you don't really need it haha

Such an easy class! Weekly homework assignments, no quizzes, midterm and final you should study for and the individual paper was not hard just time-consuming. Take her if you can!
