i think she drinks way to much coffee in the morning because shes so edgy, but shes a really good teacher for math, shes clear and her grading is fair and shes understanding and helpful and offers extra credit

Very concise. She teaches hard concepts at the most basic level anyone could understand. She talks kinda fast though, but you get used to it. I have taken her for 3 classes so far, and plan on a fourth.

I absolutly loved this professor. I HATE math classes, and I actually enjoyed going to this one. She went over everything fully and clearly explained the content and she grades very fairly. If you like to get out of your class a bit early, don't count on it, she takes the whole class time. I will be taking her again for my next math course.

Professor Birdsall was a good professor. I took her in a 5 week home class and although she had to move quickly (it being a 5 week home class that only met once a week) she did her best to make sure everyone understood the material for the exam. She can be a tough grader though...I recommend taking her for math...

Home study for math isn't easy. Lots of work and you only have one class to ask questions. Prof. Birdsall did her best to present the material clearly. She was available for tutoring. I enjoyed the class. Two hours a week for a subject I don't like. As far as textbook, what is the point of only giving answers to the even numbered questions?

You will not understand how awesome this professor is until you're in a calculus class. She seems rude at times, but I found that she was always willing to help and answer any questions too. Just do the homework, show up, and pay attention. She prepares you very well for Calculus! :)

She is a great professor, very energetic. I took her for Precalc for Spfc.Majors. Expect homework in this class because youre doing 2 semesters packed into one. If you dont do the homework, you wont understand the material. Her office hours are great. She's very helpful as long as you are willing to ask questions. Loves teaching. My favorite.

This class taught by her may be one of the hardest classes I've ever taken. But!, if you do the homework and try, I assure you that you can get a B or B+ easily.

She speaks *way* too fast! It's beyond easy to become distracted in her class. Homework is mandatory. I wound up withdrawing from the class about 75% of the way through it; I was going to fail. She once refused to refund points on a test when she graded the entire class incorrectly. Not recommended! Ramdeen seems to be a great substitute thus far!

Took her online algebra. Worst teacher in the world. In her notes, she makes mistakes. I spent hours trying to figure out why my answers did not match hers only to find out she had made some mistake. Her tests sometimes have material not studied previously so you're left to just figure it out.

Awesome teacher. Took her for math 195. Tests are reasonable. Homework is mandatory but it prepares you well for the test. Makes you do group work for quiz grades which is also easy as long as you pay attention. If you're confused abotu anythign at all shes always in her office willing to answer any questions. One of the nicest and best professors.

I had a very difficult time but Birdsall was pretty helpful I just didn't understand well with all the help and studying I got/did.

She really is an awesome teacher! I had to take 011 because math is by far my worse subject and she really gets you to understand it. She moves very repidly though, but I dont blame her for it since there is so much material to cover. If you miss a test....NP you can make it up with ease. She does give homework, but its quick and ez.Highly recomend

I hate math. I have always been terrible at it. However, for some reason I decided to register for Algebra 012 distance learning, I finished w/ a B+. Birdsall is a very thorough & nice professor. She provides class notes, videos, and she is available via e-mail all the time. Put forth effort & you'll pass. Very helpful professor!

She def gets the job done she does everything in her power to get u to understand math you just have to be willing to learn she is always their if you need help she was really born to teach i will be lookin for her next semester online quizes r easy and she doesnt grade or collect homework but if u dont do it your really cheatin yourself

Mrs Birdsall is a pretty cool teacher. she is always helpful when you are unsure of something. you get hw everynight, but she never checks it, so you never have to do it. she only grades on tests and quizzes, so if your not a good test taker, good luck! i highly recommend her

I took Algebra II online with Prof. Birdsall and she is a really nice professor. Although Math is one of my stronger subjects, I found math online REALLY difficult, however the instructional videos helped out big time. I would recommend taking Professor Birdsall, just not an online math course unless you can really self teach the material.

i took it online, she's very helpful, always answers emails. bit difficult bec online, teaching math to yourself is hard. it def is work to do online. the tests werent bad, few questions. overall good class if your ok with math.

I had her during the summer five week session for a survey of math. She gives helpful handouts, grades fairly, gives partial credit on wrong answers if you set the problem up correctly and show your work, very fair grader. Gives review packet to help with test. Glad I took her.

I had Mrs Birdsall for two classes and enjoyed having her teach me. She kept me interested in the course. She grades fairly too. Even if you get a wrong answer, she still gives you credit for showing the work that lead to the answer. Being that I'm a non-traditional student, she made it easy to remember Algebra again. Excellent teacher.

Very good teacher, there is a lot of homework and it's definitely a fast paced class. I am halfway through the course. I enjoy a challenging class. She will answer any questions you have and shows a ton of examples before homework. Quizzes that add up to a test grade to boost score. I recommend!

I would take her again. Very fast paced (to be expected of a summer class) but fair. I thought she covered what you needed for the tests and took time to explain any questions. It is a must to do the homework, attended, ask questions, and put in A LOT of study time. You will not be able to float and do well.

Good teacher, the work itself is hard, but she explains very well. You MUST do the homework and plan to put a couple of hours each day in order to understand and pass. It was a summer class so it was very fast paced. I used up 4 notebooks in a week class. I went from knowing zero algebra- to getting a "B".

very easy class. shes explains everything. homework is not graded. negative: when questioned about your grade or classwork scheduling, she gets a little bit of an attitude. but overall she is a very easy teacher

She is very helpful! She never checks the homeworks, much of which you do not have to do to pass. She always asks if everyone understands before moving on and does not move on until the class understands. This is my second time taking her, wonderful teacher.

Pretty easy class if you pay attention and keep an organized notebook. She checks the notebooks and grades them so make sure it's well kept up if you want an easy A. Never checks homework but it does help if you do it. A lot of the quizzes are online and super easy, she's a really nice teacher! Barely used the textbook.

Birdsall was a great teacher, and I am definitely taking her again next semester. I have always been terrible at math, but she has really helped me out a lot and actually taught me things. you only use the textbook for homework, which she doesn't check, and she answers any questions you have without you feeling stupid. I absolutely recommend her.

Great professor! Had for 195 and the class was easy as pie. Granted the class moves at a very quick pace, there is a LOT of homework. Although if youre exceptional at math, you can get through the class without doing the homework. Sometimes makes mistakes but she'll always correct them. overall awesome professor, fully recommend her!

Proff. Birdsall is very helpful and takes time to answer questions about hw or quiz and test grades. Hw is not mandatory! but you dshould do some problems anyway because it helps for the tests. I would recommend her.

I had Prof. Birdsall for MATH-011, 012,& 151. I took the first 2 online and as long as you practice, you can do it. I hate math, but of course it is required, so I had no choice. I then took her on campus for 151-Survey of Math & she was very precise in her explanations. It is obvious she loves math & wants to teach. Always pleasant, very helpful.

She was a good teacher, explained things well and gives you review sheets for the tests. I never did the homework, so if you review those sheets, you'll pass without a problem. She just changes the numbers in the equation from the review sheets/quizzes. I'd take her again

I may not be a fan of her grading policy, but overall she was a good math teacher. Make sure you understand the mathematical theories behind things and to practice every problem she assigns to you. If you are really interested in understanding precalc I would reccomend her.

Great great great professor. I absolutely suck at math and she helped me get an A. I took her for both remedial classes and plan on taking her again for college algebra. If you keep good notes and do all your work you'll easily get an A.

Professor Birdsall helped me love math. I have always struggled with math and now I have a A average and we are almost done with the semester. She is very clear and willing to re explain material over and over again. I like how she does notebook checks and applies that towards your test grade. She is understanding and very helpful!

Professor Birdsall is great, she really knows what she is teaching. She is kind and fairly understanding. Her entire grading rubric is quizzes and tests, 5 of each, with the 5 tests counting as about 83% of your final grade. She doesn't grade homework,but, if you don't do it, and don't practice the material you will easily fail her class from tests

This was the BEST math professor I have ever had. I am a returning student working towards a different degree. I have taken Stats, Algebra online, and Survey... none of which had professors as clear, thoughtful, and overzealous as Birdsall. She does not tolerate laziness... but do the homework, show up to class, and you get an easy A!

MATH XL WAS A MUST AND SHE COUNTED AND CHECK YOUR NOTEBOOK FOR A GRADE AND WAS AVERAGED INTO YOUR TEST GRADE. EVEN THOUGH SHE DOESN'T CHECK HOME WORK YOU NEED TO DO IT. IF YOU DON'T YOUR GOING TO FAIL.

She's a very good teacher, moves fast because it's a 6 credit course. She's more than fair. I would take her again! The grade you get is clearly a mirror of your effort, you really have to work for an A in this class.

She's a little annoying in her constant ramble on how difficult calc will be. She over hypes it and doesn't teach enough material and just wants you to learn based of HW. Overall it's really just a test if you did the HW or not. You take a few tests and that's your grade. I probably would have done better had it not been for all the snow days.

I thought Professor Birdsall was a very good professor, she moved a little faster then I preferred, but then again I did take her math class in five weeks. (If you are not good at math like me, then I would not take this class in 5 weeks). Anyway, she really does care about her students and helps her students as much as she can.

Professor Birdsall is EXCELLENT. The way she runs her class is very efficient. She assigns a lot of homework but DOES NOT GRADE YOU ON IT. She grades you on taking notes in the notebook SHE provides, the MATHXL (online program included w/ textbook,) and tests. She's fast, but will review. No phones/food in class. Slackers need not apply.

GOOD at teaching!!

I'm not gonna lie; I'm taking her class right now, I never do the homework but I'm still passing her class with a B+, why? I don't know if it's just me (well everybody's different), but she teaches each lesson as clear as possible, and if you need help with the lesson, she can always review the lesson or you can come see her. She's nice.

Precalculus I is a very hard class. Professor Birdsall moves fast, so you have to stay on top of homework. She reviews any homework you had trouble with at the beginning of class, and gives partial credit on tests and quizzes. She is also very accommodating with office hours and will help you out. Overall very clear and caring professor.

I took one of her courses after not doing math for 3 years and passed with flying colors. I personally did not think her lectures were fast paced. DO THE HOMEWORK! The ALEKS program will walk you through anything you don't understand. She also takes time to answer any student's questions and will go through the problems with you. Great professor!

Professor Birdsall was a great teacher. A little tough on the quiz and assignment sections, but she's great with feedback. I wouldn't mind taking this class again.

I really liked Professor Birdsall, but be ready to pay attention in lectures as she calls people out during example problems. 1-2 online homework assignments were due every week and they were easy, along with 4 quizzes and 4 exams. The quizzes and exams go along well with her PowerPoints. I would definitely recommend taking her class.

Amazing teacher. Her grading system was a bit odd tho. For my class, we had 6 tests and those were 70percent of the whole grade, so it's extremely hard to recover if you fail one. Other than that she's amazing. Would take it again.

Always put extra credit on tests and was available after class. People who complain typically are not putting in the work and effort necessary to succeed in this class. you are told from the very beginning its labor intensive and people seem to be shocked even after that is said. She gives lots of resources for you to succeed in canvas.

Taught math well. Sometimes math profs are nice and the classes are easy but you don't learn what you need to move forward; this isn't that class. You don't need to be sharing ice cream sundaes with all your profs, sometimes you just need to learn math. Really not hard to follow if you pay attention and use the Pearson examples on the hw.

Great professor. Class was difficult but not impossible. Wasn't putting enough effort initially so received low grades. Started studying more, went to her office hours when I wouldn't understand a problem, she explained everything clearly. I would recommend to take advantage of the tutoring center. Definitely helped me a lot.

Prof Birdsall was definitely a great teacher! she explained things very well, she is a good teacher as long as you are putting the work in as well. made study guides for each test and made sure we felt prepared, as well as making sure we were aware of other tools for studying as well. super nice
